Cant beat a small local hardware over big box when it comes to service! Since I started coming here Ive always had great service! I enjoy coming to this store!

I have always loved hardware stores, and the fact that they carry Benjamin Moore paint is awesome. But my last visit I bought 5 gallons of paint plus other painting supplies. The young man that mixed up my paint was not very friendly and when he was done he said if you need to there are carts in the front to take your items out with. I was the only customer in the store at the time and thought really you cant help carry it out ? When I came back in for my second trip he was no where in site I thought wow customer service sucks anymore.

When I walked in I thought it was a brand new store.I asked for help they answered all my questions took me to the place I needed to find what I was there for.I will be coming back. The store has everything you need. Thanks for being there when I needed you. Stay safe and God bless.

My experience has always been my experience and the new owners and staff have been nothing but Gracious supporting and kind after the transfer from the Grundy family. They share the same ideology and have employed people with great attitudes knowledge and relaxing smiles I would rec ommend to anyone to experience your hometown hardware in regards to a big box. Im a complete 100% satisfied customer.

Local hardware store couldnt ask for a better help its great to help local businesses

Called to purchase a Weber $420.00 grill. We had seen television ads promoting free assembly and free delivery. When we ask about delivery we were told that they only delivered within a five mile radius, and we were seven miles therefore they could not deliver. When we ask about whether they would assemble the grill they were less than enthusiastic. We bought the grill at Home Depot!

I enjoy shopping local that is why I gave him five stars. Great friendly helpful staff. Pull up coupons out for things that are on sale already. Thats what I call customer service hell definitely be back. Karen and the young fellow that was there this morning or very helpful. Again I love the small-town hardware store.

Disappointed that they didnt have the item I needed - usually they are the go to place for the hard to find parts.

Great selection of all things hardware. They have a grass seed called Livingston County mix that is ideal for filling patches from the dog and winter.

A great place for all your Home Hardware needs. I came in tonight looking for a bolt for a piece of furniture and had a difficult time finding it. The store clerks found one for me within seconds! They are a great team and Im happy to give my business to a local crew like them.

Absolutely awesome customer service tonight. Picked up a grill on a whim and the only one left was the floor model. The gentleman working cleaned it up for us and helped us load it into the truck. Super nice the whole time and extremely helpfulThanks so much for helping us get this home! Dinner was awesome.

Dont mistake this for some small hole-in-the-wall hardware store. You have to see their nuts/bolts/screw selection - one of the largest in the county. Very well laid out as well. Nice store, small town feel yet excellent selection. Fast in and out -and good parking.

People who work here greeted me and helped me the second I walked in. The guy who only works two days a week that made my keys for me, THANK YOU !! You were very nice and ace is really lucky to have you as an employee!!!!

Ray Raddatz you are a disgrace to this society. It is NOT a LAW that states you must wear a mask. Byrum Ace Hardware is a excellent place to shop and because you have issues with the employees not wearing a mask doesn’t mean you have to knock the store. I have always had great service and The employees are great. So I doubt that one person that was helping you coughed. If you have issues with people not wearing a mask then stay home.

Love this Store, so nice and friendly. They give you person attention with what you need. Kyle, Amy, Colton, are workers there, couldn’t have been more polite, ask for them. I also encountered the manager, so eager to explain and help. You get rewards and discounts when you buy. It is right uptown and convenient. Finding the prices are good, and with discounts you get monthly meet within my budget. I came out of the Smiling and am So Glad there hear. Store is spic and span. Happy Customer 😊👍

I always get the friendly service here that you would expect from an Ace Hardware. I never make it more then an isle or two before I’m greeted by a nice and knowledgeable employee. I will continue to shop Byrum’s because I know I will get the help I need with the respect that a costumer deserves. Keep up the good work guys!

Nobody was wearing a mask and the woman that helped me was coughing. What the actual hell?Update, I came back yesterday and they still had employees not wearing masks. Ill have to find a new hardware store.

First time I actually walked all the way through the store. Laid out well. Surprising amount of stock. Lots of tools. Good prices. Helpful attendants.

I don’t know where to begin. I am new to Howell and I needed a few things for my new apartment so I decided to stop in and see if they had what I needed. As soon as I walked in the store I was greeted by a young man by the name of Zach. He was very knowledgeable and so helpful. As I continued to browse the store another young man by the name of Colton asked if I needed help with anything. These two young men are outstanding and didn’t make me feel like I was just a nobody like those other big name places do. And as for the young lady by the name Lori C, she was very nice and even helped me sign up for ACE rewards. I can promise you that I will be doing all of my shopping with them.

I reviewed this the other day and I guess it got deleted. Don’t call my phone to ask me to remove when you couldn’t call to tell me why my order was canceled. I obviously needed the item and preferred to shop small hometown instead of big box stores. And if I had the courtesy of a call then more than likely I would have settled for what you had in stock cause that’s just how I roll. But sending an email with no reason as to why an order was canceled and expecting me to call you and ask you why is just saying oh your not worth my time to me as the customer.

Other than being small, this place is tidy and the employees are friendly.

I need a coaxial splitter. The website said they had it and they did. Very happy.

Great customer service. Jay really went above and beyond to help me. I had a unique problem and he went as far as to take some fasteners into their stock room, remove the heads, and make sure that they would work for my project before I left the store. Situations like this are why I ALWAYS prefer to go to the local hardware stores (as opposed to Home Depot or Lowes). The people working there always more knowledgeable and helpful.

For a small town hardware store, they are great. Staff was very friendly and was able to cut some house keys very quickly.Only downside is they dont always have what you are looking for if you are looking for a specific brand. There size doesnt let them compete with Home Depot and Lowes on that. But they very likely have what you need of you arent brand specific.

Love going to this place of business! Everyone knows my name. More than happy to help. They know my daughter and, her health issues. They ask about her everytime. Grundys is part of my family.

***UPDATED***They have improved greatly and it took a bit of time with the new owners. However, I can say they are back to solid customer care like they were under the last owners.My biggest draws are close to home convenience, solid paint selection, and a wide variety. I have always been a fan of local hardwares and will always frequent before a big box like HD or Lowes.I have been shopping at Ace in Howell since the mid-90s. I fully believe in supporting local business and always enjoyed the service and conversations.
