A great store if your looking for reasonably priced tools of any kind. Such a wide variety to choose from. And their prices wont break the bank. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Everything is in order and well kept. My go to place for tools if all kinds.

Store is lean, well stocked, nice people. That said, some of their products are ok quality...but some of it is poor. If the price is too good...trust me...you wont be happy with the product.. you will get what you paid for.

If you know how to spot the cheap tools this place can be good. Not everything in the store is cheap and not worth buying. I picked up some Apache cases and they are high quality for a very reasonable price compared to other brands.

This place has a lot more than I expected for good prices! Good place to go if you want a cheap tool but dont expect to find big brand name items

If you buy a lot of stuff ($400) the manager there hooks you up with a free ITC membership. Helpful staff when I cant find what Im looking for.Wish more of their products were made in the USA though.

Almost always has the odd or needed tool or accessory you need and at a reasonable price. And the staff is pleasant and know the store well.

Store was clean, stocked and well organized. I had a raincheck price from another store and they took care of me with no issues.

Very clean and well organized store. As a homeowner on a budget this is the best place to buy tools and hardware.

Prices are now bloated. Not really a deal anymore. Better off to go to Lowes home Depot for the real deal.

Drove an hour here and an hour back to buy something the website said was in stock (and still says is in stock) only to be told the only one in stock is reserved for someone else

A manager Kyle help me out in the store today. He was extremely knowledgable and professional. Best experience yet. He helped me find everything I was looking for. The staff even loaded the heavy stuff into the car for me.

Decent prices on most things in there. But there other items that I think are to much for what they are. Other than that its got good prices,and decent tools. People are friendly also👍

I will definitely be going back to that store. they treated me like I was family and explain things that I didn’t understand and told me what tools to use and then told me how to use them and it’s a really was a nice place to go to get tools I needed for my projects and so much Affordable then other places. 🙂thanks for all your help.

Great place to get what you need very helpful employees low pricing

Been in this store 3 times and walked out empty handed all 3 times.

You can find items for lower prices than other places. Great for lawn mower or wheel barrow wheels and many higher end items at reduced prices.

The Howell store is huge!!!! Most tools Ive seen in harbor freight!!! Crew is knowledgeable to were stuff is and how is used!!! All very friendly and willing to help!!!!!

Just visited Harbor Freight in Howell, what a great experience. I was purchasing a Christmas gift for my husband, I did not know how large it would be. Great place for inexpensive tools. Their tool durability is going up IMO, but always opt for the extended warranty when purchasing. Great no hassle policy with the warranty.

I shopped at the Howell store and was buying a bunch of larger items for gifts for my son. I thought I had all the right things and was getting ready to leave when a nice manager asked me if I needed anything else. He helped me to make sure I had everything correctly and even suggested some more items I had not thought of but needed. I highly recommend this store and make sure to say hi to Kyle he really takes customer service to the next level.

I had to return an item and the manager, Kyle, even helped me carry it back in and took care of everything, even ended buying accessories and that awesome extended warranty. A very good product, helpful people and I think its all about a good price!!.

They always have some unique items. This time I was there for a canvas tarp to use as backing for some outdoor pillows. You can get a tool box filled with basic tools at a reasonable price here too!

Great deals on basic hardware and tools. Also great if youre putting together disaster prep on a budget.

Bought on sale split ring players. Fell apart the 1st time I used them. Took them back and bought a more sturdy set. They were agreeable with the exchange

Been here many times and the supervisor jordan, is hands down the only person I will deal with. Everyone there is super friendly and respectful but jordan each time goes above and beyond. Returns are never an issue and exchanges are no different. Zero complaints here!

Easy access and found what I needed with ease. Price was right and the staff was too.

Manager complained on how we parked our 350 Ford truck because it took up two parking spaces. There were plenty of parking spaces closer to the building. And only several cars in the lot. He was rude and went out to the truck to get our licence plate number so that he will call my police friend and tell him of our parking in his lot. I pointed out to him of the one other car and one other truck that were not in between the lines. We were in the process of purchasing several products when he opened his mouth . We cancelled our purchase and left. We will not be back!! Did not get his name.very disrespectful person.

I would like to share a “customer service” experience story I had in the Harbor Freight store in Howell. I had a problem with a product I had purchased from HF. Kyle (the manager) said he would take care of it for me, but he didnt have a replacement in stock. I gave him my phone number and he said he would stay in touch. In my mind, I figure he will forget about me as soon as I leave the store. No so! Kyle texted me twice a week for 7 weeks until the item finally showed up. Apparently he gets two trucks per week. Great customer service. Kudos to Kyle.

Any local Howell ladies in need of gardening supplies or decorative lighting, I HIGHLY suggest you make harbor freight your “go-to” store based off the eye candy alone. Every man in that store is an Adonis, especially the manager, (Stacey, Tracey?) and this well stocked bearded man. Make sure what you need is on the top shelf, and ask them to carry things to your car, even a shovel. Absolutely worth the trip, I go every Saturday morning like clockwork.

They had stuff I needed in stock and staff helpful in locating items.

This place is great! I had an issue with a power washer that I bought, and it was most likely (99%) my fault and they still helped me out! Ill be back to buy some more stuff, thats for sure. Thanks again Howell staff!

Kyle always hooks me up. This guy has gone above and beyond whats expected, on more than one occasion, to make sure I left his store a happy customer. And Jordan too! Shes just plain awesome. Really knows her stuff.

Would have been 5 stars if they didnt haggle with me.I wanted to buy the 3500w predator generator because there was a labor day sale on it for over 100 off, normally $799 for $689.. They tried telling me i had to be a member to get that discount which I knew was incorrect. They tried selling me the yearly membership and everything. I told them to just try scanning the online coupon directly from their website from my phone and guess what, it worked as it was supposed to!! Imagine that..

Had a bad experience at another location thought Id try it 1 more time, Ran into the store Manager Kyle and he assured me it was a 1 time situation and handled ALL MY NEEDS immediately no questions asked! He has a customer for life! Totally made the experience a 5 Star Review!

The higher end tools seem to be good. So far the icon wrenches and us general tool cart have been great.

Told today that reason everyone at the store was rude and not willing to help is because its end of day and because of covid. Now we are using excuses to not take care of customers. Two people at register and neither could help me find a tool.

Consistent HF layout and selection, but still have trouble finding things

Decent tools at very reasonable prices. Havent had any issue with anything I have bought here. I visited the Howell store. The people are always friendly and ready to help. It is always my first stop when I need a tool.

I called this store today looking for a 50 ft hose reel for a gift. Im a woman and not mechanical. Tracy, the manager, was not helpful at all. I explained that his store is the closest to me but still 30 miles away and asked if he would hold the item until tomorrow evening when I will be in Howell. He refused. Didnt offer any alternatives except to come today which I cant do. I called corporate customer service but they were no help. Then I called the Ypsilanti store and the nicest man answered. He looked up inventory at all other local stores. He offered to hold one so that it wouldnt be put back into stock until tomorrow afternoon. Then he even told me about a coupon on the website for a nicer model at about the same price as the one I called about. Now that is customer service! Howell you just lost out on a sale.

First and foremost for this Howell HF location and for the skimmers of reviews I’ll lay it out first: Melissa, Kyle, and the staff are the nicest people. Went above and beyond on a customer experience - these are the types of individuals you want running and working in a high volume place dealing with customers all day.Decided to get some larger items (tool storage cabinets) I wanted to add to the garage - on order, no worries.I’ll GLADLY drive over an hour from home to this location to get my goods when they arrive *all day instead of going just up the road to the Pontiac location* (yes I am aware there is a HF by Oakland for the record as well).This started after a bad experience at the Pontiac MI location and the poor customer service I received when I was *about* to purchase a bunch of items. Not small, either.I was about 25 minutes away from the Howell location and figured I’d call for a item I couldn’t find. I spoke with Melissa and she checked, their store was out as well. No problem. She asked what locations I am closer to and I let her know Pontiac, which I will not go back to, and Madison Heights (which is ok). Somehow the Pontiac rant from my end kicked in a little haha.I figured I wasn’t too far and had some time so I stopped in before heading home.First impressions of the Howell location - really clean and a welcoming environment. Really reminded me how Sears and the Sears hardware stores used to be when they were good. No joke - I was going to them since high school (20 years...). Staff was always helping customers or asking if they needed help with anything.I walked around a bit and picked up a few items for the garage (tool storage cabinets as I mentioned above and some other odds and ends) and as mentioned - well over an hour away from me, but totally worth it.Worth the stop and the distance.

In particular, the store manager, Kyle, took the time to help me learn the distinctions between the various tools I was looking at. Kyle has always bent over backwards to help us anytime weve shopped at HF and todays experience was no different. Its a rare treat to have an exceptional shopping experience, and I felt it was necessary to reach out and let someone know we appreciate it. You have a customer for life if you keep treating us this way.

Its a harbor freight, you get cheaper tools that still work. Great spot to buy a quick tool that you dont want to spend 200 dollars on at snap-on

Harbor Freight is always cool. I dont do things from a professional Craftsman level, so I dont expect to buy Craftsman level tools there, most people who complain about Harbor Freight are trying to get something for their money that they should not expect. in my case though I received a killer deal went straight home use the product it worked perfect and I gave them a 5-star rating. Hallelujah!

The female store manager is rude to the customers. Very unprofessional. Very short with customers. Definitely not management qualified. Barely qualified to stock supplies

I refer to the place as, Chinese Tool because its hard to find anything in the store that is NOT made in China. But, sometimes a cheaply made tool is exactly what you need. A one time use and throw it away. The folks that work there are very nice, helpfull and very professional.

Very clean and organized compared to other that weve been in. Really had their stuff together for Black Friday as well!!! Impressed. Check them out.

Cant beat the Low prices on all the decent quality items in the store plus Lifetime warranties on just about everything is the best! I love harbor freight!
