I love this family owned local establishment. The food is delicious, the iced Vietnamese coffee makes my day, and the service is beyond delightful! There are always creative and fun donut designs, and amazing breakfast choices ranging from breakfast tacos to croissant sandwiches to brisket kolaches.

A hidden gem!I wanted to try a new donut shop in my area. Even though I drove 10 min and past several others, this was worth it. The reviews I read were correct. When I arrived, I was greeted with a big smile by a woman who served me. Their kolache tastes so fresh. Bread is delicious. The donuts taste just as good. This will definitely be my new spot in the morning when needing a donut or kolache.

Great donuts with friendly service!

These kolaches are amazing. The kolache bread is so soft and tasty. Perfection. The donuts are really good too (and very well priced). I usually get plain glazed donut and eclaire. Hard to find better donuts and kolaches in Kingwood or Atascosita areas, much better than Shipleys donuts. Staff is really friendly and super accommodating. Made tons of last minute requests for large orders for office breakfast. Always ready on time. Coworkers love me, I love sunrise donuts and kolaches!

This place is great! The croissants are light and fluffy, not greasy like some other shops around. Their donuts are all very fresh and tasty. I’m so happy this place opened up! The owners are very sweet and friendly. This is my family’s favorite spot for our weekend treats. 😁

This newly opened shop was recommended to me and I have been very impressed. Besides all of the sweets, which are the best you will find, she has an incredible selection of breakfast items, all easy to eat on the run. Great stop to have a quick breakfast or lunch... donut and coffee. She is open everyday. I stopped by and picked up donuts and kolaches to bring into the office. Prices are very reasonable and everything is made fresh daily.

I was just turned on to this place by daughter. Donuts are delious and I love the bacon egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant. Inexpensive and worth going!

Extremely friendly staff

Sophea and her breakfasts are always a delightful way to start your day. Whether you’re in the mood for a sweet donut or a savory croissant, you won’t be disappointed! I suggest the jumbo sausage kolaches, they are the best around hands down!

UPDATE: Been back to this place many times since last review. The chocolate donuts seem to have a sweeter taste which I like. The lady is always friendly! My kid likes the dinosaur donuts! This is our go to for donuts.Ive been here two times since they opened. While the owner is friendly, I wasnt too impressed with the donuts. The sausage and cheese in sweet bread (what folks from this part of TX call a kolache) tastes like every other donut place. The size of the donut seemed smaller compared to my normal place and a few cents more. I like chocolate iced donuts; Sunrise Donuts were not as sweet as I like. I like the convenience of the location to my house, but I prefer a different donut shop and will continue to go there.

This is a wonderful business! The owner is friendly and the food is amazing! I highly recommend for anyone who hasn’t tried this place!

Our neighborhood went without a donut shop around us for a long time. (Except shipleys which is expensive:( ) so, we are really glad this place is here:):) we love this place!!!My favorite (besides the amazing donuts) are the breakfast sandwiches:) they taste amazing!! Not greasy and gross.the boudin kolaches are awesome and they come in spicy and not spicy:):)They have wonderful coffee, the place is always clean and the staff is very friendly and welcoming:)Please visit this place:):):) lets keep a good, affordable donut shop in our neighborhood:):):)

Sunrise Donuts in Atascocita is my new favorite shop for donuts and kolaches! I love the mom and pop feel while getting the best coffee near me, and donuts for the kids. The owners are so kind and friendly, the outstanding customer service keeps me coming back for more!
