The donuts are not frosted to even half the top, only 1/4 of the top is frosted. The apple fritter is OVER FRIED to the point where its hard a rock and not edible! (See pic) I Really wanted some assorted flavored donuts, like the old days, but they all had Sprinkles on them..... why???? I didnt see 1 kid in the store buying donuts, yet all the colored donuts had sprinkles. A fresh tray of assorted colored donuts was coming out from the back and ALL of them had Sprinkles. I was so dissappointed!!! I really wanted to have some flavored (orange, cherry, lemon) donuts and drove all the way over there and couldnt get what I wanted. The donuts I was able to buy were very soft and fluffy with a great flavor!But, theyre pinching on the frosting, overcook the apple fritters, and over do it on the sprinkles..... I wont be back to this store!

The best apple fritters around. The donuts and kolaches are also on point. Stop in on your way to work or school in the drive through (who knew). Quick service!

I dont recommend the ham and cheese kolache as they dice up ham lunch meat, donuts have plenty of filling! Sausage kolache was excellent the coffee has a unique flavor that I found good.

I have been living in this neighborhood, going on 5 years now. I would pass this donut shop to go to its competitors. One day, my daughter wanted some donuts & kolaches, she asked me, Have I ever tried Southern Maid? My reply was, No! Sometimes, I stick to what I know! My daughter bought some over and Oh, my goodness! Hot & Delicious! Dont sleep on Southern Maid Donuts. Check it out! See what you think.

Nothing was ready to buy. I had to get what they had ready. But maybe i was too early, 4:55am. They used to open at 4am n most stuff was ready to buy at 4:30. Usually its very good choices n its all yummy. Off day maybe.

Pretty darn good. The wife and I stopped by for a quick bite for breakfast. We ordered tacos and donuts. Both were very good. Definitely worth a stop if youre looking for breakfast.

Excellent donuts, tacos and kolaches! Quick service too. I dont see why people give this place less than 5 stars due to communication issues. They try their best considering their circumstances, but either way the quality of the food completely outweighs the setback with communication. Love this place!

The employees are friendly but the food is bland. The glazed donuts taste like flour. Theres nothing special about this place. Its only positive is its proximity to the neighborhood. Id rather drive to a Shipleys if Im craving good donuts.

On April 4th my daughter went into this location and the workers overlooked her. They assisted two adults who came in after her. I watched for a minute and then I went to the counter and the lady told the man that was helping the others that she was there, which really irritated me. Of a childs money is not as important as an adult then I will not be coming back. A child deserves the same acknowledgment and consideration when making a purchase. Shipley Doughnut on Timberforest Always acknowledge her and make sure she is provided service.

I had a sausage and cheese kolache and didnt like the taste. Im not sure if its the cheese or the sausage but it wasnt good to me at all. I bought donuts for my daughters class and she said they were good. I would go back to try the donuts but wouldnt buy a kolache again.

Great breakfast tacos!! Probably one of the better shops in the area that make breakfast tacos and kolaches. I cant speak to the doughnuts as I really never eat them.

I drive by this place often, but I never stopped until today! I was very curious as to what they had to offer. Their menu just blew me away! Their selection of kolaches, croissants, tacos and donuts is pretty impressive! 😃Their prices are also very competitive, but slightly lower than other donut places in the area. I love that they have a convenient drive thru and that there is a menu for you to check out and make your selections before you drive up to the window. The man who took my order was very curteous and very professional. I had their boudin kolache, potato, egg, cheese and sausage taquito and their Bavarian creme, glazed donuts. They were all off the chain! To those who commented about their taquitos being bland do yourself a favor and order the taco with chorizo or simply add some salsa to your food you will not be disappointed my friend! 😆
