I have dealt with Keffer Kia in Mooresville for years. I will never, ever do business with that dealership again. Mr. Keffer would be disgusted if he knew how they are misrepresenting his name. I was lied to by a salesman a manager and a finance guy. They voided my warranty and refused to fix it when I realized what had happened. I will absolutely do everything I can to make sure that everybody knows. Better Business Bureau, social media, I will also even contact Mr. Keffer directly. The group in Mooresville fits the quintessential definition of “typical sales pushers”.

I have no idea what to think about the experience Ive had with this auto group... (Im giving 2 stars instead of 0 because the manager at the other Keffer dealership is trying to be helpful.)I did extensive research before deciding on the make and model of used vehicle I wanted to purchase and also vetted the dealership before driving over an hour to purchase my vehicle at Right 1 Auto by Keffer. I was told about the 150+ point inspection and complete reconditioning they perform on each vehicle. I also trusted the dealership because its part of a large automotive group and not some random dealer.I purchased my vehicle on June 20, 2020 from Right 1 Auto by Keffer, and within 2 days, I realized something was wrong. I immediately let them know that there was an issue and asked for them to take a look at it. Since I work full-time and live 1+ hours away, I wasnt able to take it back right away or during regular shop hours (and I was told they didnt have any available appointments right away). So, I finally was able to take it down on July 6. I dropped it off and was given a loaner, which I realized HAD NO GAS IN IT... I picked up my vehicle on July 9 and was told there was nothing wrong with it. They had my vehicle for 3 whole days and said theres nothing wrong... I knew that wasnt right but the times I was able to be at the dealership were always times that the service center wasnt open, so I couldnt show them the issue myself.I called again the next day to tell them, yes there is something absolutely wrong. They again told me no theres not. So I took it to a local dealership for a second opinion on July 15. Turns out, the entire rear differential assembly needs to be completely replaced and the cost is $2,300+. So, on July 15, I sent the guy that sold me the car the information about vehicle diagnosis and asked them to fix it. Clearly, the vehicle was NOT reconditioned before they sold it. This should not be an issue after just 2 days of driving the vehicle. Also, the service department is either incompetent or unwilling to take responsibility for this issue as I was told from my local dealership that this is an easy-to-diagnose and blatant issue.I purchased the vehicle as-is with no warranty, and I understand exactly what that means. However, this is absolutely false advertising - Selling someone a vehicle with a major issue after describing, in detail, the inspection process is bad business and unethical.I have left voicemails for the manager at Right 1 Auto, texted the salesperson that sold me the vehicle, sent emails, and NO ONE HAS GOTTEN BACK TO ME. It has been 10 DAYS with no response. I have even spoken to a manager at one of the other Keffer dealerships, and he also has not heard back from the manager at Right 1. The staff was nice and accommodating UNTIL I showed them proof that there is a major issue with the vehicle.ALL I WANT IS FOR SOMEONE TO MAKE THIS RIGHT. Either fix my car or buy it back from me. Im a single mom, and its extremely important that I have a reliable and safe vehicle that I can trust. This experience has been incredibly stressful, not to mention inconvenient.
