Grocery outlet is a great place to shop on a budget. The prices are pretty good on most things and the sales are even better.However the lack of grocery carts is unacceptable!! I always have to hunt down a cart in the parking lot first and wipe down my own cart!! Also the long lines to pay is getting out of hand. I may have to shop elsewhere if this doesn’t improve!!!!

My fave place for cheap organic snacks and meats and milk! Some people get frustrated with the transient products, but its part of what I love. Always something new to try without a huge investment.

Best little grocery with lots of interesting things. Orange Creamsicle raisins... Yum! Have most of what you want at lower prices. Friendly customer service, good produce, selection of plants, drug store items, wife variety of beverages, good selection of frozen foods and refrigerator staples. Plenty of junk food to make a man happy. Thought outlet in the name was odd, but it fits. You need to check it out, youll understand.

They do have the lowest prices. They dont have everything, and it changes periodically, but you can always find the basics at a reduced price.

Great music, great deals on (about to expire) well-known and lesser known food and home goods, and I have a crush on one of the cashiers, although I havent seen her entire face still, so that rating could go up or down, I guess. You never what youll get there, so that can be good or bad as well.

A good chunk of their “compared to” and “elsewhere price” are inaccurate at best and deliberately fraud-like at worst. If you actually pay attention to prices you’d find that most of their prices are the same if not worse than everywhere else. The peanuts I have shown below are actually a deal, the display on it however, throws business ethics out the window.

Ridiculously low prices!!! You might not be able to find an exact item (say a particular granola bar or bag of chips) but youll save 50% or more on a very similar item! Its a fun way to explore new flavors and food items, at a really good price. Also, the beer, wine, and hard kombucha selection is unmatched in the area and the prices are so low, even on the alcohol. This is my familys primary grocery store in IB.

This place has been a great addition for IB locals! Very cheap prices, but you cant go to Grocery Outlet with a shopping list. The inventory changes day to day. I think thats fun!Wish they had more prepared foods like sandwiches or bowls, but thats not really the point.Great prices on milk!

Only food market in IB, prices are very low and a decent selection. Staff has always been super friendly (but its IB everyones super friendly).

This store has all of the basics you need and some fun and unique items. Its hard to stick to your list with all of the inexpensive goodies! Definitely check out this Hipsters Paradise!

Love this place!!!During Covid first lockdown, they donated great food to those in need.Their prices cant be beat with a very wide selection.The only draw back is when the particular item is sold out, you may not see it again. Ive been to a few of their stores but prefer this one. Its conveniently located, yes this is subjective, and always well kept.A few days ago I had accidentally left and item behind and they held it two days for me until I could make it back.Always friendly service and the lines move pretty quickly even when they are busy.Prices here are just better than other places. If I want fruit or a Kombucha then this is where I stop. Good prices on meat as well but not the best Ive seen.Overall their low prices on almost everything, cleanliness and friendly service keep me coming back.

Had what I needed mostly at a reasonable price. Plenty of parking, had firewood which is awesome. Great music loud enough to hear. Love this store. Only thing is they didnt have free bags.

Normally I love this store, great deals and friendly staff, but today was another story. A social distancing nightmare, lines down multiple aisles with no staff managing people and only 3 registers open during what was clearly a rush. Be better grocery outlet.

They are not enforcing social distancing guidelines people are breathing down your neck at checkout, even though there are markers to keep a safe distance.

I like Grocery Outlet. But being 1 of the few grocery locally in IB, wish that they stocked more of the commonly used products

Great selection of food!

Price on shelf was not honored and changed at register. Had to wait 15 minutes for the on call manager to make a decision over the phone. The isles are always crowded and prices arent clearly marked.

Fruits and vegetables are fresh and clean, their meats are fairly priced and their beer selection is pretty good for being such a small store.

I am usually pretty satisfied when shopping at Grocery Outlet Stores. I called the grocery outlet in Pacific Beach to find out if they had an item that I couldnt find near my home. The associate (Megan) said she would hold the item for me as long as I came to pick up today. I drove from Lemon Grove, CA to Imperial Beach to pick up the item. Upon arrival, I asked for Megan and asked for the items she had on hold. She said someone put them back and took me to the aisle to look for them. The items were not there and she said sorry. I asked to speak to a supervisor (cant remember her name), said sorry we should get another shipment in on Wednesday. I explained to her the situation and told her how far I had driven to get there. She continued to look at me confused and said there was nothing they could do. Horrible customer service, trying to help me find another store or maybe asking if they could contact me if the item was in the Wednesday shipment. Any kind of help would have been appreciated. I was offered NONE. I will not be back to spend my money at this store.Gail F.

Great prices, but the store lacks consistently on the products they sell best. I love every experience I have ever had at every Grocery Outlet, but I find myself going to various locations trying to find things I should be able to find at the same locations I usually find them at. If it isnt broke dont fix it. Keep those products available. I am a frequent shopper.

Found a lot of items on shelf with no price tag/shelf label with price.

I do enjoy shopping here. I find good deals on food items and its generally clean. But some of your staff need training in the customer service realm. I have had several instances where the cashier didnt even greet me. Today a cashier not only didnt greet me, but she also would not bag my groceries. If this is a self bagging store, then I was not aware because MOST other cashiers bag my items. I worked as a cashier for many years, its not that hard to do your job and greet your customers.

The store is clean, the shelves are well stocked, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Good neighborhood market. You can find great deals on organic products and overstock merchandise. Does not carry same products constantly so you will find a constant rotation of products.

I love that there’s a new local grocery store and I love their prices. Some produce is good and some is bad. It’s a toss up. It’s a close out store. If you find it there once you may never see it there again. Another toss up. If you like trying new products at cheap prices this is your spot. Easy parking, quick cashiers and full liquor section.

I honestly hate this place on so many levels lousy management. Many items have no price on shelf or not marked on the item. Many others ring up different at the register than on the item or shelf. Poor selection majority of their inventory is discontinued items that didnt sell think extreme flavors super spicy on many.. Also many items are one time only if you like something you better stalk up its likely not going to be there after current supply is gone. They claim to be discount market but many items are consistently priced higher than the 99 cents only stores. Only reason to shop here is convenience its only supermarket within city limits of imperial beach.

Great customer service and surprisingly good selection of items. I love going here for all the quick things I need. Needless to say, I always spend more than I intend to with all the great deals they have. No complaints from me.

Go for advertised foods which are excellent savings. Staff responsive. Convenient location, easy parking. Brands and offerings vary weekly, so cannot count on continuity.

Good prices but aisles are way too crowded. You cant for two carts past each other.

Really wish I could give this place Five Stars, but the availability of products fluctuates constantly. The prices are great, but Im never gonna need 3 gallons of clam sauce. Sometimes the prices can be wonky. Usually Hot dogs are around $3, but one time a simple 8 pack of Bar-S hot dogs was $10.99!

One of my favorite shopping experiences.

Old and stale stuff. One original box of cereal cornflakes in the aisle. Cereal that nobody eats like yogurt special K. Truckloads taken from other stores who could not move and sold here a dollar less. Check your born on dates folks. It may expire by the time you get home.
