This had to be the best experience in a home improvement store that one could ask for. The Downtown Seattle store (among other retailers throughout the state) was dealing with call after call and request after request for any and all portable air conditioning units. Having had a 110 degree day in Seattle (which hasnt ever happened in my lifetime), all stores were out of stock. I was visiting my parents and realized they needed a replacement. Saw online that this store would have it. They hadnt received it. Had been waiting a couple days for an emergency shipment by truck coming to the Seattle area. There was hope though. Many of us arrived around 5AM and it was down to only a handful who could wait and waited. Managers, Mike, Cody (who greeted every single person with a smile at 5AM who was waiting in line), and Dan (from the Merchandising Team) were so kind, incredibly empathetic and were just as hopeful as we were. It didnt help that we waited with our carts in the section of empty a/c shelves. They knew we were doing our best not to leave without an a/c unit. They even graciously brought us bottled water. They did not need to do that but it was a simple yet kind gesture.By chance and patience, the truck arrived 4 hours later and they led us to what felt like gold. I seriously will NEVER shop anywhere beside Home Depot from now on. In fact, Downtown Seattle (Lander location) is my place. Thanks so much to the kind, honest and incredibly amazing team at Home Depot Lander. You have a forever customer. On a separate note, Dan (in the pic) mentioned to a small group of us that he has been working for with Home Depot for 18 years - we get it. Clearly a great company. You can get items from anywhere - but its the people that make a business stand out.
Ive been to Home Depot in various places lately, the service is better than before. The floor inside the store is clean and no trash. I came to buy 2 of 4x4 wooden posts and some parts. They were quickly found where the lumbar was. Everything has been raised prices, but it cant be helped.I always see the gardening center at the end. There are lots of indoor and outdoor plants and I buy something while Im watching. The colorful flowers and trees are fascinating and always exceed my budget.Shop all your home improvement needs at the store or online.
When some other fireplace store wanted $3500 to finish my fireplace surround, I decided to visit this Home Depot store. Dropped $153 and did the work myself. This downtown store is a bit of a drive for everyone, but this was the BIGGEST and NICEST home depot I have ever been inside. They had everything, and it was super clean and the staff was very chill and nice. Got a big project, consider visiting this store.
Good rotating indoor/outdoor selection of plants. Going by here once every couple of weeks to get a new plant has been good during all this indoor time.None of the plants purchased from here have died shortly after being brought home, as is so common with big chain store plants.
Connie personally took me around the store to find the items I needed for work.I really appreciated her assistance and great customer service!
Whoa! This is a huge Home Depot. Im accustomed to the ones on Lander Street and Aurora Ave N. I needed a small tarp to cover something on our patio that I didnt have inside storage for. I was in and out in just a few minutes, having chosen from a nice selection of sizes and weights.Home Depots prices are usually a little lower than Lowes. Its been my go-to store for tools, building materials, garden supplies and even indoor plants for years. In the last year-and-a-half, weve bought a few succulents From Home Depot. They are doing great.
*Update July 1st, 2021*Home Depot sent me a whole new microwave and redid all the work and addressed all of my concerns. The new crew was friendly and competent.*Original Review*I ordered a new microwave and opted to get the installation service from home depot. Words cannot express just how unhappy I am with the service. The installers were in a massive rush, and made so many mistakes. Heres the laundry list of problems:1. I was missing two important components - the turntable and metal tray. Without the turntable, the glass tray doesnt sit flush and rotate correctly. I noticed this after the installer had left. I messaged him and he said that he had noticed it was missing (which means he lied to me when he finished the install and said that everything was in order), and that I should call the manufacture - they can overnight it for me.2. The back plate of the microwave was installed incorrectly, and they only used two out of the three bolts to mount the microwave to the top cabinets. As a result of this, the microwave does not sit flush with my cabinets, and wobbles when I open the door. When I pointed it out to the installer, he said, No, its level and flush. Look. Also, its a problem with your cabinetry. Great. So its both not a problem, and also a problem.3. The installer made mistakes where the holes for the bolts needed to go, and he drilled massive holes. As a result, I have huge holes in my cabinets. Additionally, the hole for the electrical power was not drilled in the correct location, so the power cable is pinched between my cabinets and the microwave - this also contributed to the microwave not being flush. My biggest problem here is that they were in such a rush. Instead of doing the job right, I now have more problems to fix, and additional damage to my cabinets.4. They asked me to lay out a towel over the stove. Nevertheless, they left saw dust all over my stove, and there was even blood on the towel. What is going on here? Amateur hour? This is completely unacceptable. I definitely could have done a better job myself. But I needed extra hands to help me with holding the microwave while bolting it in.Save your money and hire someone else to help you if you need help with installation. Ive called support, and they said they are going to send someone out next week to help. Ill update my review if they solve my problems.
West Seattles Home Depot hired personnel has really picked-up their stores quality of work. Nothing but, hustle, hustle, hustle. My daughter and I have noticed almost all employees working in the last five months or so have been putting in hard-earned payday. Great job People, Nice attitudes. Thanks for helping us older customers in store. H.V.Higgins
Always have a good experience at this Home Depot, and today the customer service was exceptional. Jenessa really went above and beyond to help us out and I am so grateful! Thank you!!
Old reliable. Always helpful staff. Usually have what Im looking for. Way better than Lowes almost every time
Actually found someone to help me. Nice change.
Okay I have to say that The Home Depot is MY STORE!!! I Love coming here, I am a very different kind of chick.. I love to work with my hands, and power tools. BUT My FOREVER passion is for Harley Davidson bikes-old school- and muscle cars ( 60s to late 80s almost any make) you know the kind that you not only hear but can feel the power as one pulls up next to you at a red light.. I cant help but stare and DROOL!!!The staff are always nice and most seem to actually know what the heck theyre doing..But For realz tho- its the bees knees! Love shopping there!!
Absolutely hate this store, last time I went there were nails in the parking lot just scattered around, I told an employee about it and he didn’t care. I won’t come here just because I don’t want my tired punctured. Also not a very safe area at night,
I love going to this store because they almost always have what I need for the project that Im working on
From all the THD store that i visited withing 30 miles radius i have to said that i was disappointed with the selection, which it was not that bad, but lacking in comparison with the other store, or maybe simply due to the current situation of the market, in any case the store was well maintain and have most of the stuff i went to get to, but if you can go to another THD closest to this one, you might want a try that,.. but if want you need is something comment, you might be able to find it here.
I needed to recycle a product. While they dont handle this function, the lady who helped me went way beyond normal to get me the information I needed. Superb customer care!
A great idea store. Do you have a household need or want. They probably have a selection of it
Large selection of things for projects. Good online store with aisle numbers for finding items in-store and helpful staff.
I general avoid Home Depot because of their political donations but they had a mower I wanted. 🤷♀️ Eh, one does what one can but sometimes you end up spending 💰 money where one would rather not. Staff was fine, store was fine.
Impressive. Went there last night around 8:30 pm looking for electrical parts. Some customers service saw me almost 10 yard away asked me if I needed help. Amd help me locate the part that i needed in 30 seconds
Got a water heater online there because of inventory. I had easy time getting checked in and help loading it into the car.
This is a good Home Depot, has all the basics & if you need anything locally this is the place - the tool rental spot has been a breeze as well.
The indoor plant section is as sad as sad gets. Outdoor plants are great. I don’t recall the lady’s name but she offered great customer service at the in store pick up after I was waiting 20 minutes for help. It’s hard not to like Home Depot if you know what you’re looking for.
The team members working in the blinds department at this location are truly amazing. So friendly and helpful! We have had great experiences with both of our recent orders. Thank you!
Best Home Depot in the Seattle area. This smaller store is very well stocked and operating with knowledgeable employees. The Tukwila store is awful by comparison.
Bigger, better selection than ones on Aurora. Also easier for me to get to. SoDo Link station vs the E bus.
Never disappoints. Has almost everything you need to get the job done!
I love this place. 99% of my home improvement starts from here. Friendly and helpful staffs!
We’ve gotten decent quality small project items from Home Depot for some time now. Unfortunately, any time we’ve needed larger items the customer service and quality of item have been poor. Went in for some doors and they were all dinged on various sides. When I mentioned this to the employee he didn’t offer to look for others; just told us to “sand them.” We ordered a dryer and when it arrived it wasn’t working properly. It’s been two weeks now and we haven’t been contacted so someone can come look at it. We had an order of vinyl flooring ready for pickup and when we arrived it took them three hours to find the product that was supposed to be ready for us. I get it’s a pandemic but at this point this all seems more like an issue with Home Depot’s infrastructure. Especially given their owner threw tons of money at Trump. I’ll be going to Lowes from now on.
Interaction with 2 out of three employees was far from reminiscent of customer service. The only reason for two stars is due to the third employee, a young lady who was actually quite pleasant. The other two were men one was even a supervisor or more. I had several things I was eager to purchase but I left empty handed due to frustration & because I didnt want to contribute to that locations quarterly revenue reports at that moment. I felt like I was being intentionally made to think I was annoying them for requesting assistance. I had a poor experience with the HD website today as well, theres an obvious disconnect between physical inventory, & the inventory the website thinks is in stock. Amazon may be the devil, but even with their vast, seemingly endless inventory Ive never encountered such a discrepancy immense enough to effect 3 products in one 2 hour span.
Best place and only place besides axon that i shop at for my company supplies
Always a positive review regarding the Home Depot. Thank you for making my work life easier by being open and having quality. The sales are great.Regards
I love this store it is great great customer service
Everyone is very polite the man in the paint section helped me very polite and answered all my questions 💗
Good service lots of items out of stock
For the most part very helpful and solicitous staff. I stopped in for Purdy brushes. No.
Great location for a hardware store if you around downtown, west seattle, and north beacon hill area. The parking lot has police lookout tower for would be thieves, but I wouldnt rely on the 100% always make sure you dont leave anything valuable in open site; other than that this location has most items youd need as hardware store.
Found what I was looking for with the aid of an associate that had very good knowledge of home improvements.
The downtown Seattle Home Depot in Sodo. Nice to see people going in and out for work or home improvement! Needed some paint cleaner found it and went through the self checkout with no delays.
I love this place. Its my favorite place to WORK and shop. I bleed orange baby, & you should too!!!!
Im DIY 24/7 if only home depot was open 24/7 at least they are open at all which is more than can be said for most hardware stores anymore. It seems that theres always more employees than customers in there but they let thrives just run out the door without trying to even stop them. At least they let me bring my dog in and even give him treats. I wish they would expand their electrical department to include more electronic device repair stuff because with radioshack gone theres a big hole where my capacitor used to be.
Today the workers offered a lot of assistance and very helpful. Store was very empty.
Peter, at the pro desk, was super helpful and very polite and professional.
Tools dept has good selection on electrical related tools and the staff is really friendly and helpful.
This is by far the best location in Seattle with a friendly knowledgeable team.
Really helpful staff! I even had someone help me pick out a drill & all the other stuff that i didnt even know i needed! 😊
Didnt go inside it was a meeting spot to but a computer case.
It is a Home Depot. Associates are friendly and helpful. They have building and garden materials. If it is not in store ask an associate to order it for you. Shipping is free to the store.
Great place to get live plants - herbs, vegetables, flowering of all height sizes.
Fantastic Lighting Fixtures and Displays. Got me some NEW bulbs for the Home . 😁😁😁
I love this place because it always has what I need in stock.
Its the best place to shop for simple plants if u r looking for one ...You get all home supplies here like the rest of them
Helpful, kind, knowledgeable employees. Never pushy. This is my favorite home depot.
Great place for home improvement goods. One of the few left in the city.
I love home depot I found everything I need All the time
When you need a hardware store in SODO this is the place...
They have a great Will-Call and very helpful staff all around. A better Home Depot than ever! (Cheap new high-tech lighting, too).
Best place for materials. Just dont expect any help finding things, checking out, figuring out how to fix things except in the flooring department where my new hero is.
Welcome to find out home Depot doesnt have everything you need sometime when it comes to building a home or working on a car or doing a sidewalk it just dont do it at all they almost do but not quite but theyre still good at what they do home Depot all the way
I was able to order a Asian Pear Apple tree.
I went to the landers location to get some help for indoor plant irrigation system. Martin and Carl from plumbing were very knowledgeable and helpful! I had purchased sole incorrect parts and they helped find the right ones and fit it to ensure my setup works as needed! Super appreciate the help! AwesomeCustomer service
Very organized. The staff is very helpful. Great location.
Great prices, good products, friendly staff.
Good friendly customer service very helpful
Very nice experience and the service
HD has decent selection and I can generally find what I need. Staff are helpful. I used order on line and had them bring it out to my car. It was relatively quick and efficient
Its one of the Best Home Improvement store because it has a rental place for most of your needs. Power & Manuel tools and trucks are good to rent at a reasonable price. It has the right masks that my wife wants.
Nice place to escape work for a little while!!
Everyone was helpful and lovely. Most things in stock, everything I needed was in stock.
The closest Home depot nearest to Seattle. Shopping is inexpensive and reliable.
Mostly seem to have what I need when I need it and at a reasonable price. The curbside pickup is fast and accurate. Ill drive here rather than deal with the dreaded Lowes on Rainier Ave.
Big warehouse full of everything youd need to complete even the most diabolical of plans.
I was over at the appliance area this Saturday afternoon and I wanted to thank the super helpful lady who works there. Sorry I didnt catch her name - I had some online ordering questions - she even wrote down what I needed to remember! Very nice! Thank you!
Inventory not as extensive as others Ive been to.
I would give this a 0 if I could ordered cabinets they said it be about a week. It has been over a month and still excuses why its not there . some associates say its there and will be shipped other say its not .on hold for over an hour and have talked to 7 people. It seems incompetence runs rampant
Friendly staff and clean store, not much to say except keep up the good work!
Relatively slow for 7AM, economy is fine. Nice security lady out front. They had what I needed.
Is good experience I remember the old times YOU CAN DO IT, WE CAN HELP!Some times they run out materials but is so good to count on them!
This is a good size Home Depot location. They carry everything a normal Home Depot would have but they also have a tool/truck rental area. It is quite close to Downtown Seattle and easy to access.
For it being one of the smaller Home Depot that are around it has alot of good stuff and is usually well stocked.
Great, just very great people to work at the pro desk. All was willing to work with me and assist in accessing the info that needed to complete my order.
This is a standard Home Depot. They were enforcing mask wearing and social distancing when I went. I bought a small indoor plant and some supplies to build a shelf. The shelf looks great, but as with many home depot plants, my plant died quickly despite proper care. I recommend getting your plants from a nursery when possible (plants I got from a nursery around the same time are still alive and well).
Had what I needed and plenty of cashiers to get me out the door fast.
Youre average home depot. Easy to find what I needed. In and out in 10 min. Friendly staff as always.
Theres nothing but great things to say. The service by Lewis M was so helpful.
Large store, convenient location and the employees are always helpful.
This customer service at this Home depot is not customer friendly - I had a return of approximately $700 dollars, when I went to the store for the refund, only refund they gave me was $200 and the rest they said was given on a Store Credit to someone who they dont know - according to Home depot if a item is purchased on a credit card the credit goes back on the credit not given to some random person as store credit. I have been waiting for them to get some resolution nothing as yet for than a week. Keely is the Customer service person who gave the credit and has no explanation why it was given to some one as store credit instead of original form of payment - So be careful with ordering anything at this store
Great place for home project! Good price and quality.
This HD is much more well staffed than any other I have been to, and they almost always have what I need. What they dont seem to have is experts with a lot of field experience. But at least I can find someone.
Ok..not the supplies I needed..but ok..
Everyone was super helpful, knowlegable, and helpful.
They did a great job cleaning everything so you feel safe but why do they open and close the Pro Entrance willy nilly? I never know if I have to get in line right away or walk over to the Pro Entrance. Its irritating to walk over there then be told, no go back and stand in line. Curbside pick up is unbelievable! They are doing a great job!
