Guys inside were super awesome! Just got into MTG card game, they were super patient with me and answered my questions, pointed me in the right direction and were very kind. Two gentlemen helped me Wednesday at 7PM. Very knowledgeable and very kind. Definitely got a dedicated customer now

A decent selection of Wizards of the Coast and Games workshop stuff and a spattering of other brands represented as well. Prices are competitive with other brick and mortar locations but they do not have a even a passable representation of smaller publishers.My main problem is I have came to this store like 5-7 times now, and generally the interaction is always the same.--A regular in for playing magic the gathering stands at the counter talking to the employees and waxing on lyrically about an anime or some other thing, often awkwardly flirting with the female employees and those of us who want to just shop/ask questions/or learn more about anything are left on the side lines. and generally either barely acknowledged at all or receive 3-4 word answers to questions that usually to the avail of Yeah not really sure and then continue talking to the regular. The absolute worst part of this is that in my latest experience of this there were 3 employees all talking to the same regular while I was waiting to be assisted.... -I know with game-shops regulars are everything especially if they have a play space where regulars come often, spend loads of cash and hang out/talk.But as a customer who is trying to find information about paints/dice/game systems or anything you would expect a LGS employee to have insight on, its extremely frustrating to have to be sidelined by someone who is there strictly for social interaction or to buy a single pack of magic cards and then talk about the minutia of a magic system in a specific anime and flirt AT the employees (Specifying this because I fully understand that this is most likely not a great part of the job anyway).I do not have this issue frankly with any other game store I have been to within the greater KC area. At this point I would rather go somewhere with a worse selection then have to navigate being ignored by the staff in favor for a regular.

Honestly nice gaming store that has most of your gaming needs from 40k magic yugioh pokemon to the new flesh and blood play space is nice and very open staff is friendly specially Jonathan prices on packs and booster boxs are great and usally will have it in stock

Game Cafe is one of the best shops in all of Missouri for any of your board game, trading card, and event needs. The space is extremely cozy and welcoming as the workers are so friendly and helpful. Jonathan was behind the counter helping us with Pokemon cards and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our purchase. If youre on the fence about stopping here, I would highly recommend you do! So many great things to browse and buy from, while theres always a friendly smile behind the counter!

The basement kinda gets hot and steamy when tournaments are going on. Has everything a collector is looking for and has all you can drink soda for a cheap price

Its been a couple years since I was here last. Since then they have expanded / improved the game areas. The selection of board games is still impressive. Keep in mind they are more niche games that what you might find at a department store. The staff was friendly and helpful as they have been in my past visits.

Ive lost count of the amount of time Ive spent in here, and Ive never had any true complaints about the store. Staff is top notch and very friendly and fun to be around. Great friendly local game store. They have game tables available for play and host competitive events. The selection of games is pretty robust for a store this size. The staff is very friendly and seem to be pretty knowledgeable.

This place is amazing. I stopped by while traveling based solely off the recommendation of a friend. The staff are extremely polite and helpful. The store is clean and organized. They have a wide selection of whatever you’re looking for. All local game stores should aspire to be like these guys. The only knock on them is they are over two hours away from my house. I truly wish they could be my local game store.

Its an amazing place! Theres something for everyone there, and they have a turtle! Its very easy to talk to others theres and the staff is amazing!

They’re really friendly and typically very attentive to customers. Great to talk to about nerd stuff. My only real complaint is that their online catalogue seems to be a little unorganized. I’ve bought a card in English on their site and they didn’t realize or say anything until I got there to find out the only one they had was Japanese. Another time I ordered a few cards and when I got the order one of the cards wasn’t there and on the invoice they had crossed out the card name with a note saying they lost it. They credited it back to my account but it’s still frustrating. The communication over these issues wasn’t the best. Great people, but I’d recommend not ordering online items. Just order/purchase in store.

Came for a Pokemon event for my son and was very impressed with staff and the space. Multiple rooms for gaming and trading card games and a great selection of merchandise. Staff was helpful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Good environment, will definitely be back.

Number one reason why I live this place is that it gives kids or adults a safe place to go and play games! For free I might add. I also loved the variety of board games they have for sale. Unique ones. The staff was very knowledgable about the items they had in the store and very helpful. Love the location in the square. Had a learning experience about playing the Pokemon card game during a tournament. Judges and staff were very helpful, and pointed us in the right direction. Staff was extremely generous, and it was evident that they care more about people having fun playing games than any thing else. Definitely will be back for more Saturday Tournaments and to purchase future Pokemon Trading Cards. Great place for young people looking wanting to learn more about how to play Pokemon.

Good selection of games and seems like daily events being held. You can get pretty much everything online way cheaper. Bought a card game here for $24.99 and it was only $9.99 online. Heres the thing tho I knew that before I bought it but I like to support this small local shop. Ive done this with several games.

This place is amazing and has everything a table top gamer might need. Plus they have tables for gaming groups and Hero Clix which I use for super hero miniatures, but they have a couple of Hero Clix games going on there. Awesome and friendly staff as well. Love. This. Place.

D&D is played here on Wednesdays and they have several active Dungeon Masters of various experience levels. If youre interested in another rp game see if the players there are interested in running.The store sells a wide variety of products but they also have over a wide variety of games you can play in the adjacent gaming room. They have expanded areas upstairs and downstairs for other types of games (like star wars xwing strategy games and smash brothers).Its important to support your local gaming store because if youre into magic or dungeons and dragons or warhammer 40k or some other random smaller game then you cant just find partners online. If youre a self-proclaimed nerd, give the place a look. You might find your community. If youre not a nerd but just wanna see what its all about, it wont hurt you to swing by, either.

I am a regular patron of this store and they never cease to give great service. Wonderful selection of Magic cards and always cheaper than I find them online elsewhere by a decent margin. I love the online order and in-store pickup option. The board game selection is also hard to beat. All in all a great, fun place to hang out.
