This is a great comic shop, with new and old stock. Theres a better selection of back issues than in most shops of similar sizes, and theyre well organized and fairly priced or better. The staff is friendly and they REALLY know comics, including the brand new, the classic, and a huge range of media offshoots!

Very laid back and welcoming comic book store. In some stores I have felt rushed but not here. The guy behind the counter was engaging, helpful, and a joy to talk to. Ill be stopping in often to see what new things they have or to just kill time

Knowledgeable staff and decent sized collection. Told of a pooling system to ensure they have what you want when a new comic releases. Sounds like a pretty cool system gonna check it out soon.

Today was my first time finally stopping into The Hero House after moving back to Indy a few months ago and starting a new job across the street.Walking in the door I could instantly tell it was the kind of old school comic book shop I had struggled to find on the east coast and been looking for. They had all the major new stuff youd expect plus boxes full of older back issues with a great selection, I was able to go from browsing to steadily stacking up a pile of comics from the 70s and 80s in great condition and well priced.Dont sleep on the 25 cent comic bins stacked underneath the tables, I was able to dig out some quality stuff to help round out my collection!

The Hero House is a great example of the sort of hole in the wall comic shops that I grew up with. Theres a decent selection of back issues, current titles, collectibles, and other media relating to comic books and pop culture.The owner, Mike, is soft spoken and reserved; Dale and Suess are great guys to talk to (in small doses; love ya, guys 😉)... Its basically High Fidelity in a comic book shop.Bonus: the shop is also the semi-unofficial public headquarters of Five Year Mission, the best Star Trek rock band on the planet!

Hands down my favorite comic book store in Indianapolis. It has the feel of a real comic book store. Huge selection of back issues, great selection of current issues, and lots of comic-related items like t-shirts, mini figures, etc. If youre an Indy resident, go ahead and sign up for a pull list... its a no-brainer good deal.

We are glad to shop at The Hero House for comics and fun items like buttons and t-shirts and even calendars and toys and table top games. At one point I even bought some original art there. Mike and the rest of the team are always welcoming. I am glad to support this local business and I wish them many happy years here in Indy in Fountain Square.

Small but brightly lit & clean. Wheelchair users may have difficulty navigating and reaching shelves, issues in the long comic boxes, and some shelved products. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking in Fountain Square is mostly street, so off peak dining & clubbing hours recommended!

Great comic book store. The people working went out of their way to make conversation. I came for one thing (which they had) and ended up buying more.I wish they had more toys and collectibles.Also the owner is in an awesome band.

Our familys favorite comic book store. The owner is a great guy and the rest of the staff rocks as well. A solid selection of new comics. A great selection of back issues. My favorite selection is the bundles. A good selection of graphic novels. Dont forget to look at the buttons, Pops, shirts, Five Year Mission CDs up front too. If you cant find what you are looking for they will gladly try to find it for you if they can. If you are in Fountain Square, be sure to stop by Hero House Comics.

This is a great place. Brand new to comic books, came in early this week and the staff was friendly and able to help me out. Start a pull list, great benefits and prices! Keep up the good work guy, would definitely recommend this store.

Great location. Great selection as well. They have all the new weekly comics and a lot of newer back issues and first prints that are hard to find. As well they have a decent selection of back issues and very fair prices on most items. Not all their TPB are in the best condition and some should be discounted off cover price in my opinion, but I tend to just shop Amazon for those items for that reason. Staff members are great and super helpful and friendly.

Awesome long-boxes full of back-issues, and a friendly, knowledgeable staff that cares about your pull-list. Nice selection of affordable toys and games. Cool stuff for cosplayers. And YES they have Cathair Apocalypse!
