Perry was informative and helpful. He answered my questions, was very easy going, and helped me upgrade my phone. Very appreciated!
Awful! The sales employee treated me like a child. My touch screen stopped working and I was asking her if she was able to fix it, she laughed in my face, said No, and didnt say anything else. I asked what my options were then and she explained that I just needed to buy a new phone. I explained how I dont have access to my Verizon account because its not under my name, she basically just stood there and waited for me to figure it out on my own. She was extremely impatient even though I was the only one in the store. I took my phone to another Verizon store and the fixed it within an hour.
Very nice store, staff was very helpful and efficient.Easy access
I went to this store this past Saturday because I had lost the ability that morning to make or receive calls on my phone. The rep on the floor (who at the time I did not know was the new store manager) greeted and cautioned me that she might not be able to help me with the problem because I was a Fios customer and she was not sure if she could access the technology needed to successfully troubleshoot the issue. She insisted, in spite of the store being busy, that she be allowed to troubleshoot the issue anyway. Long story short, Alysha patiently and very analytically went through her protocols. She found the problem, advised me as to why the problem had occurred and provided me with a solution. The process took over an hour and it was evident to me that she could have blown me off from the rip and I would have not known any better. She did not and I suspect that she lost at least one sale because she kept working with me until the matter was resolved. I was traveling and a long way from home as well as the store that caused the problem. It was not her store and she had no obligation to help me other than the fact that she was a pro. I never write reviews but her customer service, patience and effort will never be forgotten. Can confidently say that she would have done the same for anyone but the fact that she did it for me makes me want to tell others about my experience at this store. Iowa City folks please give her store a try. Thank you again Alysha. I owe you one.
People we friendly and helpful. Thanks. 😁
Walked in and a customer said she had been waiting for over an hour and warned us that the wait might be long, there was only one employee working at the time. They might have been short staffed but I find it ridiculous that they had no sign stating they are short staffed or anything.
Perry was awesome to work with, knowledgeable and very friendly.
Watching the hair on my legs grow... One person working with one customer for an hour and 20 minutes, chatting away, four others waiting as if invisible. Dont come here unless you dont have a life.
Check the photos of the people that are helped right away and those who are forced to check in and wait (an undisclosed amount of time). I even sat down in the 6 feet social distancing seat and was still asked to leave the store. This is discrimination hands down. They dont tell you a time frame and dont even let you wait in the lobby. Us cellular next door has none of the this and helped me right away. 100% do NOT go to this store. If you have to go to the a Verizon store, go to Coralville. The associates here are awful.
I kind of like this store. They are never super busy and the employees are very helpful. It is great to get in and out quickly.
I ordered a phone upgrade for same-day pickup at a Verizon store. The website told me I could pick up the phone in the afternoon. When I go to the store, the phone is somehow no longer in stock. Even further, now I have to wait 72 hours for that order to cancel before I can order my upgrade again! Frustrating procedures with Verizon misrepresenting their own stock.
Super slow service here. One employee that doesnt multi task at all so one customer at a time.Several people came and left waiting for to long.Theyre not what they say they are, the biggest Verizon store at all either.
Zach was very helpful and attentive. All of my information transferred to my new phone with no issues!!Very satisfied with my new phone!
I was met at the door and since I just needed a charger for my phone they took care of it immediately with no waiting. Since I was in a hurry and needed to get back to the hospital (they didn’t know, of course) it made for a great experience in a time of need.
Had to wait almost two hours because of only one service rep working. Once we did get in, Peter was very friendly and helpful and got us through in good time.
I went in today for help, which was not given to me, but I did receive the WORST customer service ever! We waiting an HOUR in the car so we could be ignored and disrespected when it was our turn to get help. I believe that the employees name was Peter. From when we walked in, he was very disrespectful. Once he said he was “unable help us” he walked away and started having another conversation with an employee. He didn’t even give us any options or any alternatives to what we could do after he was “unable to help us.” He just walked away and didn’t come back until he was done speaking with the other employee about having lunch together. Such an inappropriate conversation while customers are there. We, then, asked him what we could do and he responded in such a rude way that seemed like he wanted us to leave. The worst part of all this was that the while time he wasn’t properly wearing his mask, mind you that I went with my pregnant sister so we found that very unprofessional and inappropriate as an employee. He didn’t even say “have a good day” “ bye” nor did he seem apologetic for being unable to help us. We left clueless and even more frustrated than when we walked in. I really don’t understand why you have these kinds of people representing your company. I really don’t even want to be associated with Verizon anymore after the customer service I had received. So RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.
I went in there for some help with my phone I was having a problem. Guy had no problem helping me he fixed it charged me $20. Its not a corporate store I would avoid the store like the plague
Joey went out of her way to help me get a new phone. She was incredibly accommodating and kind. I am so grateful to receive such excellent customer service. Thanks, Joey! You rock!
Crystal did a very good job. She seems to have all her ducks in a row!
Very helpful staff!
Paige was very helpful, found what we wanted got us setup and out the door with great timing. Well worth the wait 👍
The service in the particular store is terrible my hubby and I waited for over 45 minutes and we ended up leavingThey are to high maintenance for me this is why Ive been with Metro PC for years.
Arely was personable, helpful, friendly, and she had great customer service. Although I had to wait over an hour for my turn (not her fault as she was the only employee), Arely made up for it by just being polite and helpful.
Adjust your online hours to be accurate. Drove all the way there, door was unlocked and when I walked inside they said ah yeah we’re closed, sorry! You’re a tech company, and it’s not hard to change store hours on google. Probably will save a lot of people time and trouble.
Apparently its an agent site not a Verizon corporate store. I came in because my phone has insurance and the screen needs to be fixed. And the Corallville store is closed for the next 4 days. But they dont do that.
I went here earlier today to help a friend find a phone that would work during her time in the United States. Followed the protocol for COVID and checked in via my cell phone at 4:00pm. After waiting for awhile, I asked the single customer rep at the store if he knew how long the wait would be. He had absolutely no idea, so we went to the Coralville Verizon store, where we were helped immediately. I later got a text that it was our turn to be helped—about 7:45pm... and then another at 7:50pm saying we had missed our time. Seems a little unreasonable to ask a customer to wait nearly 4 hours just to walk in the door and then give them all of 5 minutes to be there or respond. Save yourself the hassle and just go to Coralville.
Great location! Everyone is always very helpful and informative.
If I could give -5 stars I would. They charged me for a phone I paid for on line AFTER I showed the receipt. I also got charged for set up. I paid because I needed the phone because I need a phone. Ironed it out with verizon on line and got a refund from them. Went to the store twice. Forget about calling them. Calls go to a call center who could not connect me because the store has heavy holiday traffic. After telling them to never contact me about this matter again. Continued to get texts telling me to come to the store to settle an urgent matter and something had come up and I needed to come to the store. After responding to those texts (remember, I couldnt call) got a somewhat condescending text telling me they were going to pay off my phone but if I didnt want to come to the store they couldnt help me. More than furious. Love my Verizon service but wont EVER go in that store again. I works advise you do the same.
Would give 0 stars if I could. The customer service offered here is absolutely dreadful. They will worry more about their commission rather than doing what is right for the customer (YOU!). Do yourself a favor and go to the Coralville store which is a corporate location. They adhere to much stricter standards and will actually try to help you.
Terribly unfriendly and unpleasant staff.Walked into the store with exact phone in mind... there was 1 employee and 3 other people and employee was on the phone. He paid no attention to me walking in. Didnt welcome, didnt ask to wait, nothing at all. He only gave me a look, you know the- why did you come in here? look... I felt not welcomed but thought- okay well let me look at the phone. There are no prices for phones anywhere. Only the contract price. The phones are fixed to displays and cant be moved or held at all. You can only use it on the still display so you cant test ANYTHING on the phone properly.Half of the displays were empty. When I asked employee to help me check out the phone I was interested in, he in an annoyed tone replied- cant you see Im busy? Ill be there when I AM DONE!at that point I just walked out of the store. Do NOT go there. Terrible place!!!
Terrible customer service. Im somewhat surprised. Usually, the Verizon stores Ive been too are pretty awesome.
Rebecca did a great job of finding me a new phone after my old one was run over by a forklift. She patiently helped me see the advantages of different models.
Great help from Alisha
This is horrible! We have been standing outside for an hour! And there is only one associate in the shop. Who btw closed to store for an hour (3:30pm-4:30pm) for god knows what reason! What a stupid experience! Definitely getting rid of Verizon!!!
Very courteous and professional, beautiful smile, and completely competent timing was on point shes a true seller.Keeper comes to mind!!!
After 15 years with Verizon could not get any response about getting new phones. Walked next door to T Mobile walked out with new phones and saved over $50.00 a month. Good by Verizon.
Awful, horrible customer service. Made my 70+ grandfather wait outside for 2 hours!! They do not have reliable and good service. They act like they dont know what they are doing and cant complete tasks quickly and efficiently. Better off going to US Cellular next door.
This joint (aka Verizon Authorized Retailer – Victra) is a rip off, just like the Verizon in general. My wife has Galaxy S9 that sometimes show Moister detected” problem. We have paid for “moisture removal” package previously. This time, salesperson told my wife that machine tells them “too much” moisture present, machine cannot do anything about it. “This phone is lost”- he says. Galaxy S10 is $900 range…. I have gone to YouTube and sure enough there are many ways to work around this bug. It is widely known on the internet that Galaxy S9 does have this bug. I tried one of the remedies and it worked first time. Now phone charges just fine. Thanks for nothing Verizon Authorized Retailer – Victra. Will be considering dumping Verizon eve thought we were loyal customers ever since cell phone became a thing…
Had some technical issues and the person helping us stuck with it for two hours till problems solved.
Paige was amazing. She ruined my experience for everyone that comes after her.
They didn’t even have the tool to switch my SIM card from one phone to another. I had a couple things I needed their help with and all they said was to go somewhere else. I should’ve just gone next door to US Cellular and they could’ve helped me more even though they aren’t even my carrier.
Page offered excellent customer service. Thank you, Page!!!
She was so patient with us and gave us all the time needed to set up our new phones!
The people here are very nice and knowledgeable about the cell phone products. They are encouraged to personally try out a bunch of the phones themselves, so they know the products well. The reason that I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because theres usually only 2 people in the store to help customers, so you might have to wait quite some time before you will be helped. Also, all of the accessories in the store are very expressive; 3 times what you would pay for something similar on Amazon.
Excellent people 👏👍👌
So accomodating and helpful!
Sorry to say this as I hate to give a bad review. But every thing about the sales was a lie. We recorded all of it including the calls made to customer service from the store made by the manager. Verizon literally owes us over a thousand dollars. They gave us a $1.00 phone. That ended up costing over $500. They charged us for a line we did not even have. Again I do not like giveing a bad review like this. But we do have actual recordings of it.
Very helpful and highly recommended!
Charged a $19.99 set up and go fee which is supposed to cover them setting up your phone in the store. My old phone ended up dying at the start of the transfer, so I was told to take it home, charge it up and do it myself. Not sure why I had to pay extra for that, but if youre gonna charge someone for setting up their phone, it better be 100% ready for them when they walk out of those doors. It is also not mentioned that when purchasing a new phone through a store, there will be a $40 upgrade fee, yet if you were to purchase the phone online yourself, it would only be $20. Where the extra $20 comes from, I dont know. And to top it off, they also decided to add on a protection plan that I refused in store and signed a document stating my refusal. Save yourself the headache (and $40) and purchase a new phone online and do it yourself.
I walked into this store today as a Verizon customer having difficulty with not receiving personal emails on my iPhone and iPad for nearly a week! I’m investigating why all of a sudden I’m having this issue especially, since my work emails, texting and calls haven’t been an issue. The two employees there Jared and Jackson where very helpful in my quest! They took time to go through every aspect of why this problem occurred?! I mean EVERY aspect. They were kind, patient, friendly and respectful. As a long time Verizon customer they helped restore my faith in the company. I plan on sticking with Verizon because of the service I always get. This would include Jessica who helped over the phone 2 nights ago for 90 minutes!I would go back to this location to upgrade maybe later this year my iPhone and iPad.Jared and Jackson were helpful in their knowledge and expertise. We also determined it’s not a phone, tablet or Verizon service issue! I believe them and now I know I need to contact my ISP and have a good discussion with them.Great job by all. I would have officially posted for Jessica but, my personal email is out.Thank you, all!Big Monk
Poor customer service, we walked in hoping we could get help with something and one of the employees that wasn’t busy didn’t even greet us and just sat in his chair waiting for us to walk over to him, he didn’t even attempt to help with our situation he just offered to give us a number we could call, that could’ve definitely been handled differently definitely needs improvement. Will not be coming here for help again.
1st of all, this isnt a real Verizon store so any real issue you have, they cant solve it for you. Dont waste your time and go else where.2nd, the staff unfriendly and rude. He first kept telling me I was wrong, and I even told him that I did my own diagnosis and its not working and I can prove it to him. He then stayed silent as he fumbled around trying to diagnosis himself and in the end, he did what I told him we should do so I can prove it doesnt work, and told me call this number for help because I cant do anything for you here because were just licensed third party store. Why not tell me that from the beginning instead of wasting my time and patience.3rd. Its hilarious that I am barely getting 1 bar at their own store.
Great service. Staff is friendly and they will take time to answer any questions and theyre very helpful. I highly recommend this Verizon store.
This store does not even deserve 1 star. I originally got my phone through the Cedar Falls location while visiting family and they were extremely nice. I then ended up dealing with the Iowa City location after going home and deciding to exchange a device. The Iowa City location offered the worst customer service Ive ever encountered. They refused to assist since I didnt originally get it from them. The man assisting me was rude and laughed at my request and situation. Completely ridiculous! Also, be aware that this location is not actually Verizon. They are a third party Premium Retailer called A Wireless that sells Verizon things so they operate how ever they want and dont actually follow Verizon policy.I absolutely do not recommend going to this particular location and I recommend never going through A Wireless or any other Premium Retailer. Just go straight to Verizon instead.
He was so helpful and polite
I switched from AT&T for my husbands phone here 5 years ago. Since then I have added myself and my children. I have always had great service. Although sometimes you have to wait if they are busy, they always work quickly and are very helpful. I feel like they have my best interests in mind - they are not just trying to make a sale no matter what. When my husbands cord was faulty, it was easy to come in and get it replaced at no cost. Even though the staff has turned over, they customer service has not varied.
Staff is very helpful. Had to come in multiple times for galaxy 8 after it was released, and staff was able to help every time. Plus they gave me a free nano screen cover because mine regular comer would not stay on.
Least helpful staff I have ever experienced, I had to argue with them to even pull up my account - I was trying to add 2 lines, which you would think would have been easy. Ultimately leaving unsatisfied, I checked with the customer service number for Verizon and was told the staff here had deliberately lied to me. I will never go to this location again, a waste of time.
The automated system fails every time I attempt to use it. No one will answer my pleads for help. Cannot recommend this disfunctional customer service system to anyone.
So so customer service they lost all the helpful employees that made it worth while.
The staff was awful. This place does not deserve one star. They made me wait over an hour just for them to tell me that they could not help me, despite me having insurance and correct documentation and being honest. There was one man who blamed me for having a cheap screen protector, instead of helping me with the issue. Thanks guys, yall suck.
Great customer service!
Verizon has got to have the worst cellular service in the state of Iowa. I cant wait to change carriers!!On a positive note, the staff at the store have been great
If i could give no stars i would. I have verizon and my husband was ready to switch. We went in sat down the guy who was there looked like he may have been training someone. But he took a personal call with us right in front of us. He then told my husband that to get hotspot he would have to pay an additional $10/month from the base plan. Well all verizon plans have unlimited hotspot. I asked if they did a referral and he said yeah you can go on your my verizon and fill it out, i did while i was in the store. When i told him online it says that you dont offer it anymore he just looked at me and said i guess not then he acted as though we were a HUGE inconvenience to him and his time when there was no one else in the store. He also doesnt know anything about verizon. I told my husband about how to save $5/month with the autopay. Anyways due to this individual we left and my husband didnt switch over. Truly dissapointing!
Went in to help my stepdaughter replace the smartphone she was coerced into buying with the phone she TOLD THEM she wanted. First they were unwilling to price-match with Best Buy. Then they told us that they would only match prices if she bought the insurance for $55/month for 3 months. Thats not price matching, its robbery. When she declined the insurance, they refused to match the price. We returned the phone, cancelled her account and went to Best Buy to get her the phone she wanted at the sale price. I would NEVER recommend this store, to anyone, friend or foe.
I enjoyed my experience here. Had lots of fun with the guy who was helping me and Im happy with my new phone and phone plan!
Too bad they dont have a zero button. Worst customer service Ive ever encountered. Should have made the drive to Coralville after reading the other reviews! Ridiculous!
Really great people really helpful and great service really recommend friends to go there
In and out with a new phone 1/2 price in an hour. No yucky sales tactics. Just service. A+
Changing phone carriers is a daunting task. The staff at Verizon was patient and answered all my questions. I do wish they had more staff as we had to wait 20 minutes for a staff to become available and there were only two other people in the store. I was also very disappointed in the available accessories. Covers for the phones we purchased had to be ordered.
Great store, awesome customer service. The employees definitely know what they are doing.
The overall service I received at this store was excellent. I am so pleased with the phone I got, at definitely the best value.
I had a bad experience at this location years ago. But I worked with Mike Byrd (District Training Store Manager) at this location yesterday and he was quite knowledgeable and fixed my voice mail issue quickly.
Service was impeccable and he explained what solutions were possible and my problem was solved. 5 out of 5 stars.
On 9-21 around 6:30 I visited this Verizon location. While in town for business, my phone conveniently decided to stop working and would not turn on. When I arrived there were 3 VZ reps were assisting other clients (so I thought) so I waited for around 30 minutes and at no time did anyone pause briefly to say hello or acknowledge me. When the first VZ rep became free, I figure ok great now I can get some help. Not the case. He walks right past me not saying a word and walks into the backroom comes back a minute later takes his badge off and walks out the door.He is now off work, which I can understand but you would think after seeing me wait as long as I did he could have politely acknowledge me and told me someone would be with me shortly. So I wait another 10 minutes and the next vz male rep greets me says, he can get me started but that he needs to go get his kid and needs to leave soon. He suggest that maybe when his Co-worker (female rep) wraps up with her client that she can assist me. Then in that moment the person who I thought was a client she was helping the ENTIRE time I waited, gets up walks out the store. He comes back in and has a personal conversation with her while shes assisting me... turns out this is her boyfriend. I felt very uncomfortable by this because her attention was not on me and was more occupied with him then helping me. I even told her if youre too distracted, I can go. She said no it was fine and looked at my phone. She told me she thought it was a software problem and that there was nothing I could really do about it. She didnt test the battery or do any troubles shooting besides plugging it in to a charger only to see that it wouldnt power on. I did have an upgrade and was just prepared to use it during my visit but quickly decided that because of the way I had been treated, I would rather go 3 days without a phone and wait till I returned home and go to my VZ store. I came home today and was in and out within 25 minutes with a phone in my hand . In reading other reviews posted I see I am not the only one who has experienced this kind of poor customer service. I do not recommend this VZ store especially if youre visiting from out of town. This is funny after you receive all these negative reviews here you then tell us unsatisfied customers to go do more work on our end and complain to someone else??? What people want is for you to apologize, and say youre going to do something about it and look into the situation. Take some initiative on your end Verizon. Jesus.
Need better options for switching from another carrier
Terrible customer service. Staff unfriendly and unpleasant.
Horrible! Dont go here period. Took me two weeks and they had me driving back and forth between Coralville to have legit Verizon people figure out my situation. Finally after Ive had enough of their bs excuses I called Verizon and put one of these tools on the phone. Situation instantly fixed. After a weak apology they had the nerve to charge me $15 for their services ABSOLUTE JOKE!
The worst retail experience of my life, after working in retail for 10 years. It took 3 people, the manager, 3 days, and 5 hours to figure out how to get my wife and I a pair of new phones. I will never do business here again and recommend others who want to keep their hair and sanity to not do business with these 3rd party hacks.
Went in to have my sons phone upgraded .only one person working did take of us plus 5 people after us also
Felt pressured and then in the end got what I wanted.. I paid cash for my phone then the following month started getting bills for the phone! needless to say if you purchase a phone here read EVERYTHING before you sign! My receipt says I put the phone on a plan. However I paid cash and am very angry!!!(ripped off 700$)
Tell this store to FIX THEIR PHONE or take it off as a listed number. Ridiculous. Theyre a phone store, for Gods sake.
A lot of nice people and very help
I walk in the door and there are 3 people working 1 is with a costumer the other two ignore me for about 15 minutes till there done there conversation. Then two other costumers walk in and are seen right away.
Go to a corporate store instead. If youre looking to upgrade your phone they will only upgrade you if you pay 200 bucks for a package of items you can get for less than 100 bucks somewhere else.
Worst place ever.. Switched to them back in November then switched back to Sprint in 12 days and still getting bills for returned equipment.
Manager helped me make my decision to switch friendly and went through everything with me.
Good experience. They helped me save money
Great service from Michael after the staff at the big Verizon store neglected critical step to activate service. Thanks..
Very professional helpful service
Always very helpful.
We really wish we had stayed with US Cellular.
Really unprofessional employees
Gr8 place.
