This is a huge, rather high-end supermarket with a really good selection. Great produce (a bit overpriced, but fresh), deli, dairy and meat departments. Nice bakery, floral, fresh fish and butcher departments, too. Friendly employees. Great sales. And once you factor in the Kroger card discount, their nearby gas station has a excellent price.

The people here are so friendly and smiley. They have good prices and sometimes they have really good sales. The bathroom could use a good scrubbing though.

Great place to get your groceries from during this COVID time. The curbside service was very nice and there was one time that kept us waiting for about 5 mins. But the person who drops the food will tell you what products got replaced and what got cancelled, which prevents us from touching the receipt and getting the off the car. One more thing, you need to open the trunk for them so that will be the only time you get old your car.

Can the employees smile some more please? Possibly look interested in customer care & actually provide it.

Its a rare find these days to have an employee that goes above and beyond. My wife and I were in your deli department this and we were helped by your deli manager,(Jamie) I rarely take the time to fill out reviews like this,but when we meet someone whose professional,polite,and incredibly helpful like Jamie,we will take the time to say we appreciate people like him!!! One of the best stores to shop at. But one time in summer 2020 some girl sitting at a table outside the store handing out things had a lot of nerve to call me out saying, That man is looking at me like I work here. Shes very lucky I didnt flip the table on her for dissing me like that. It dont matter whether you work at that Kroger or set up a booth of some kind. If shes ever there again with a booth, Im going to have a few words with her and I wont be nice about it either. Got something to say about me? THEN SAY IT TO MY FACE.

Great place for grocery shopping. It’s not super packed or busy, at least it never has been when I’ve been, they have a gas station if you have a Kroger card and need to fill up, staff has always been super helpful and friendly, pick up is very fast and easy. I shop here all the time

The store was well stocked. The only things were there was a lot of shopping carts out in the parking lot and the bathrooms were disgusting.

3.5 personnel was incredibly understaffed. Especially for the pick up / car delivery personnel. Poor thing was in the pouring rain, no help. No umbrella, no rain boots, no way to take notes while the other customers/people pull up and ask her unlimited questions and requests. If Id had cash Id tip her as much as possible.Not pleased with the pricing, lack of quality and/or quantity of products. Overall, lnefficient layout and set upSorry guys. My 1st time back in 3.5 years was terrible. Take care of your employees. Redesign the internal and external layout. Reinforce and support your employees; they are what makes a store great.Good luck!

This Kroger is the best! We use the Kroger app to order our groceries and park to pickup. Their team does a fantastic job picking groceries (and Im picky) and I am always pleased with their selections and replacements. They have fresh produce and good deals. The employees who Ive checked out with have been friendly and very helpful. Love, love, love, this place.

I got in line for money services and as a fellow insta carter it’s confusing on checks with self checkout because it always says go to a register. As I was saying I was coming in to cash a check and all the registers are closed except self checkout and this insta carter was in line at money services to get checked out well an employee of Kroger that has the name tag “Debbie Lee” was very rude to him and said yes sir you can do this and yes sir you scan this and then do this with a very rude attitude.If this is what this Kroger’s customer service is considered at this location just know I won’t shop here again, I’ll go back to Publix!

I order Something onlineI get up the next morning remind you I have an hour drive. I call the store before heading out to make sure my online order is ready. When I get there Im told they have nothing for me and my order was canceled and I wont be charged. Lol. Charged for what.!!!!! . So Im already upset so I go to Starbucks and order my drink, they dont have anything so to make a long story short, Ill never step food in that store again

Poor Management and customer service.if you white or black they don’t have anyRestriction on any products but if you are Spanish or Asian they will come and stop to get any product.they didn’t put anywhere quantity limits and ahead of me there was a Indian guy And they stopped let him get to soda.they should write it down fronts of the limits so people don’t buy more than limits.what a rude behaviour from the bigger company like this.management should know that we spend a money here too if you don’t like a any other people than put a sign on your front door.

Very clean store and friendly staff!

I use to like this Kroger, it has changed since they remodeled. I purchased an eight piece chicken box today. When I got home, realized there was only 7 pieces. I called to get a replacement, Kroger offered me 1 piece of chicken. As a courtesy I should have received 8 pieces. The lady in the deli was extremely RUDE when I arrived to get my 1 piece of chicken. They made the error & treated me rudely because I wanted a replacement.

Love Kroger buuut the employees smoking at the front of the store is nasty. They should not be smoking where I have to walk through their disgusting smoke is a turn off. Should police that better

I love this location and this Krogers, until about a couple months ago. I keep purchasing meat just to get home and realize its gone bad. I have a car with AC and only live 5 minutes from this location, so I know its not how Im transporting the meat home that makes it go bad. I was just here last night and theres a ton of bad meat throughout the meat section (dark brown in color not red) . I buy high quality organic meat too and Ive gotten home to bad meat as well. I obviously dont purchase the brown meat, but when you buy red meat and get home to have it smelling like a rancid dead animal... theres something wrong. And this keeps happening multiple times in the last couple months. They need to reevaluate their meat section. Even when Im buying frozen meat I get home to find its freezer burnt. I dont know whats going on with this location. It sucks I have to buy meat from publix when I would rather buy it from here.

The lady at the deli was awesome. I got my dinner for 4.99. Is there chicken breast and two sides special. The best part of this store is the people at Starbucks. They are friendly, they remember your name and your drink. I got my birthday coffee from them today and it was fabulous. It was also free.

Krogers have great Friday & Saturday sales. Prices are amazing! But it doesnt make sense to have a 2 day sale and you run out of inventory on the first day. Krogers on St Andrews (ran out on the 1st 1/2 of the day). If you are going to advertise a 2 day sale at least have enough to last the entire day. It would also be great for you to place items in a separate location so everyone will know exactly what the specials are. I would say Krogers at Killian Rd had things separate on last week and the items where there the entire 1st day . Made things easier.

So glad to find a Kroger. Just wish I had one in my home area of Hickory, NC.My first visit was amazing. Two of the managers were in the store, and I got lucky enough to encounter them. They were very willing to answer my questions and offer any assistance.The store is a bit huge and needless to say I was overwhelmed by the number of items they offered. All the staff were willing to help me in any way possible.I even made the mistake of going to Kroger on the day a major storm was announced. The check out lines were packed. However, the staff were still very friendly and helpful. One of the managers was helping to bag groceries. In fact, one of the managers was taking a tree frog to safety outside when I arrived. They really do care about their customers and all of creation.I love the fact that I can pick an organization to receive money each time I shop. This shows they care about the community.Highly recommend this location.

It is pretty decent for a grocery store nothing particularly outstanding. The biggest compliment I could give is the large selection of post cards they have in stock. It is probably the biggest Ive seen in a while, and many of those cards are very good in quality and design.

I really like shopping here! Meat prices are a tad higher but other stores in the area are a lot higher! Store is pretty clean and neat! I hate that they changed the pharmacy hours though, especially to close at 8 pm on a Saturday! I do love and appreciate the fuel points I get just for grocery shopping!

Nice selection of produce, meats, baby and pet items, frozen and dairy. The bakery is enticing and weve enjoyed every (occasional) treat we purchased. Save bunches with the Kroger card! The cashiers and clerks are professional, helpful and courteous. The only challenge Ive had is at the service desk -- they really get stumped easily and overwhelmed with questions most people in that capacity at other stores manage with ease.

Love the prices. Great quality and a large selection of organic products. Two complaints: Store opens at eight although it says online it’s 24 hours.They block the isles during busy times stocking products.

Great selection of groceries with pretty reasonable prices. Staff is friendly and helpful. Sometimes its a little difficult to get in and out of the parking lot due to the traffic. Otherwise its an awesome place to shop.

Good selection of food. Always super crowded. Store has the amount of stock as any modern day supermarket, but...this location was built in 80s, and has never been updated or expanded. Super cramped and congested, and more self checkouts than actual open registers. Times have changed for sure.

The service here is great, and the people that work here are very friendly. The food prices are decent, but theyre definitely are not Walmart cheap. The store is well organized with a slightly different layout than your normal supermarkets. Not sure if thats a good thing, or a bad thing. Kroger does keep a clean place, definitely not a trashy place.

Whats going on in this store. The girl didnt even take my card Info to save money. If Im going to spend a fortune, I might as well go to Publix where they at least acknowledge you at the register.Also do yourself a favor and go to any other gas station before 7 am. They may be open, but hardly ever staffed. Third time this month Ive had to go somewhere else making me late for work. My fault. Should have learned the first time.

24/7...this lovely store is conveniently located in Irmo. There is a Starbucks within the store as well which is great if you need to leave the spouse with the kids at home for emergency grocery runs to regain sanity. It also offers delivery. Good sales, fuel pumps, decent selection and helpful staff. Note: just because the store itself is open 24/7... the deli/meat/bakery and Starbucks are not.

I love their selection of health foods. My daughter and I are both dairy free and to have mac n cheese again is amazing. Oh and PIZZA :)

Terrible customer service, long lines, rude employees, and lazy pharmacists. The only reason I have this store one star is great organic products and prices are reasonable. The large organic selection is the only reason I go shopping here occasionally, otherwise I avoid it.

This is one of the best grocery stores in the NW area. The quality and selection of food is bar none. Its nestled in the heart of Irmo so it gets a lot of traffic. The cool thing is that they have self-checkout for people who just want to get in and get out. It also has a Starbucks built right into the store so shoppers can enjoy a Caramel Machiatto while the peruse the store.

Store was missing many items and had almost every employee stocking. Huge wall of products in crates almost blocking access to frozen pizza section. Only reason I didnt rate 1 star is the greeter who was great at her job and was very helpful

Super friendly and helpful staff. A meat man that knows what hes talking about. And if something is missing on the shelf and you find an employee theyll generally drop what theyre doing to see if they have any in the back.

This is one of the most organized and clean locations! The staff is very nice and literally everyone greets you with a smile or a can I help you? And of course having the Starbucks there just makes it a fabulous shopping experience as well.

Service was fine. I decided this visit to do kind of a social experiment. I went shopping in pj bottoms and a shirt. Over half the people I encountered had negative comments that either wanted me to hear or didnt know I could hear them. Only one woman told her daughter after she made a very rude comment. The mother You dont know... She could be a single mother shopping when she can. I was called lazy, white trash, and she is so trashy. This is around 9:30 at night so there was quite a few people there and half of the shopper thought I was basically white trash. In all basics we shouldnt judge each other you never know it could all be an experiment or a hard working single mother trying to shop for groceries after working a double shift.

I grew up with Kroger and was excited to move to an area with one close by after 15 years of being without one. The Kroger brand is wonderful and the prices are great but the Irmo store is not up to par. Ive noticed the cleanliness and staff support dwindle over the last 6 months but todays visit was ridiculous. Every aisle was blocked by a palette of goods to be stocked but no one seemed to be stocking. Produce department was an obstacle course! Got to check out: 3 express lanes, 1 regular check out open. At the end of every register, customers are bagging their own groceries, myself included. Not a problem for me but some of the octogenarians seemed to be having a tough go of it. The worst part of it was the group of 7 female employees and 4 male employees (yes, I counted) at the front of the store cutting up and having a good ole time! Not one offered to help any of the customers bag. In fact one young man actually made of point of saying, Yall are doing good. Keep it up til the line dies down then we will take over. Corporate would do well to replace the managment that allows this to occur. The problems dont start at the bottom, theyre allowed by the top.

They often have good deals. The employees are always helpful. Open 24 hours is also a plus.

I love this store Im a later night or early morning shopper. The staff is wonderful & almost always the same person so I feel safe. She is very loyal so dont think because its 4 am she isnt going to notice if you try to steal. Then she is going to arrange for you to get a free breakfast with the county. She knows where everything is & will remember the little things and ask how your grandmother is or whatever. She Im sure saved me one night from being robbed. She very tactfully gave me a heads up on a woman I met while washing my car & she told me a hard luck story. Well, she stole my cigarettes. I know because I watched her do it. She denied it swearing to her mommas grave and just horrible lies. She wanted me to drive her home & I have no doubt it would have gone bad if I had. She knew me as a very loyal customer and was loyal to me. I have moved more than 10 miles away but still drive past Food Lion, BiLo and 2 Publics so that should tell how loyal I am. There are other night shoppers I know from there & they feel the same way. The Deli and fruit/veg and the drug dept. Are always well stocked with fresh products I never get a face full of dust or discover outdated anything. Thats important to me.

I love kroger they have a great idea. This store needs a little help in produce. And I wish our bakery was more versatile. But they keep it pretty clean and employees are polite and helpful. Vegetarian options are growing. Thanks kroger.

Super cheap,well stocked and helpful employees. The only complaint is the tight walk ways thru out the store. Theres usually a lot of clutter/displays that are hard to navigate around near the frozen pizza section.I like shopping here cause its cheap and its not walmart🤢

Tonight I was told the store will no longer be 24 hours. They will be closing at 1 am and opening at 5 am. To most that is not a big deal but to me they have lost me as a customer and everyone I know I will now encourage not to shop here. Kim is the reason I go at night, she is the only cashier I have ever met who took the time to get to know those in the community, asks genuinely about our day, our kids, cares for us as people and goes so far and to remember what we always buy every single night. Kim made Kroger feel magical. You felt safe no matter the time of night or weather because you knew she was tough as nails and wouldn’t take slack from anyone. That store is her store at night you play by her rules you act proper and in return you get a kind heart and smiling face genuinely happy to see you. Now the only 24/7 store open will be Walmart where it’s dangerous to go after dark all for what a few bucks they might save from not paying the most deserving caring worker they have. Disgusting.

This was one of the best grocery runs I have ever experienced! First, I was wondering if I should treat myself to a coffee when Witt told me about their happy hour; 50% off my coffee!!! [SCORE!!!] Second, everything we needed was fresh, organized, reasonably priced, and/or on sale. Finally, when I thought we would spend 20 minutes waiting in line, I asked the cashier a few lanes down if she was still open. Even though her light was off, she was kind enough to help me check out but I was to be her last customer. We had everything on the conveyor belt, and two more carts began to form a line behind me. I turned to them to explain she was trying to finish her shift to clock out, but the couple behind me seemed rather upset by this. Kendra explained she had finished her shift, just as I had just told them, but added that they were welcome to stay and she would take care of them. They seemed as if they would stay put for a moment, but got angry when she looked around to see who might be available to open another register. (This wasnt done out of malice, with an attitude, or rude remarks. But, genuine concern for the customers who would be waiting in the only open lane) Despite Kendras dedication to happy customers, the man grumbled as the couple CHOSE to leave and fall in line at the express lane. I thanked Kendra for helping me check out quickly with my kids, and apologized for making it seem like she was still open. She smiled and said I had nothing to worry about. It is, also, worth mentioning that I was the one to tell those behind me that the lane was closed because she was working and hadnt yet seen them. On top of all this, she kept her cool and was never rude; I found this to show remarkable strength of character on her part since, the man lost his the moment I mentioned the lane was closed. His ego wasnt being indulged in an appropriate manner so, he then tried to be intimidating by asking if so and so was working because this inconvenience to him was ridiculous; he knew so and so personally and he would definitely speak with his friend about the matter. So, I wanted to say thank you Kendra for your kindness to my family and the grace you exhibited while this man threw a tantrum. God bless anyone who has ever worked in retail of any kind, and thank you Kroger for recognizing the kindness within this woman who wanted to continue helping customers even if it meant delaying her plans.

Your exasperated initial response to my request being You know that you have to fill out paperwork (was that a question?) When I acknowledged in the affirmative your subsequent sighs, huffs and puffs didnt go unnoticed. Sandy, you can huff, you can even puff but you cant blow my house down. I merely wanted to achieve the milestone of getting to pay off my student loans in FULL. Nothing can take away the elation of that moment. What an accomplishment, right Sandy?! Oh, you are upset because the proper paperwork to fill out isnt present and you have to upstairs to get it and come back down? Yeah, thats kind of crummy but did you really have to say Jesus Christ, sigh I mean... I dont think it was his fault. Is this because you actually work for the federal loan company and you just KNEW I was about to pay them off and youd be rendered useless? maybe that was it. Or maybe it was the fact that a girl with tattoos, piercings and firey hair was making you WALK UP STAIRS. Either way you should keep in mind that people can HEAR YOU COMPLAIN about doing your job. As I was waiting patiently for you to take 30 minutes to get me 6 money orders (that may be a record in slowness) did YOU notice I DIDNT so much as sigh? nope. not even once. The deals was really good for sale items. However the store was extremely packed, the isles seem small and there were u-boats in the way of many items. It kinda made for a stressful experience.

I shop in Kroger 2 to 3 times a week. I do all my shopping in Kroger. I love the prices and the people who work there.

Prices are great but the narrow isles with pallets if stuff also in the way is aggravating and the cherry ontop is there is NEVER enough cashiers. Oh and when they run out of items its months before they are back in stock.

TERRIBLE!!Im appalled by the experience we had last night and believe me when I say we will never return. After spending 20 minutes in the store getting all of our groceries (including a Starbucks drink which I began sipping on) we came up to the self check out computer and began ringing things up. Several items wouldnt ring up right and the woman kept asking us whats wrong with it? We were getting very frustrated and every time continued to tell her that we had no idea what was wrong and that she should know and be able to fix it. She was very rude. She then proceeded to tell us we could not use credit (I just got all of my card information compromised, got a new card and dont have a pin yet) Please know this happened after watching her assist another customer using credit with much less than us. She THEN proceeded to tell me she would have to get the police involved if we didnt pay for the stabucks drink... A $2 DRINK THAT WE HAD FULL INTENTION TO PAY FOR! Even after explaining our situation, telling her where I work, AND telling her I would leave my ID and come back to pay tomorrow if that was necessary - she still threatened me with the police. For a drink. Finally she charged my Starbucks AS CREDIT BUT WOULD NOT LET US GET OUR $37 WORTH OF GROCERIES with credit!!!! I would never do what she did to us, to anyone. And I deal with ACTUAL theft and situations like this on the daily. She handled things very very poorly and was extremely patronizing to us. My boyfriend stormed out telling her we would never return. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND WEVE BEEN COMING HERE AND SPENDING TONS OF MONEY HERE FOR YEARS!!! She was an older woman working the night shift (we came in around 11:45)TWO GREAT CUSTOMERS : GONE

I always Love going to Krogers. I save so much money with their 10/$10 sales or 2/$5.00 . Just upset they are so far from my house. Its hard to travel without a car. They used to be in the shopping center where IHOP is located . But I my family and I still make a Trip to Irmo Once in a while to get the good saving deals.

Kroger has great selection of produce and meats. Prices on all items are super competitive.
