I had got a set of tires less than 2 months later, I ran over a piece of steel and busted one of the tires. The first service rep said well its nothing we can do about it because you didnt get road hazard. I said I wasnt offered it, I was offered everything else . So I went back up there a couple of days later and Kevin got me the road hazard and tire. So I am satisfied
I had a wonderful experience! I first took my car to a dealership to fix my air and of course they wanted to charge a lot for labor and parts I didnt need. I decided to go here for a second opinion and they tested everything and found the root cause of the problem. Parts and labor total was cheaper than the quote I received from the dealership. Im now riding in cool air again :)

Rearranged my day and made the trip to this Firestone location for a 12:30 appointment I had made, only to be treated like a walk-in, being told that I would have to wait just like everyone else and there were a lot of other customers ahead of me. He then asked if I wanted to make an appointment for the next day. What would be the point, if there is no priority given to people with appointments?! What makes this worse is that I have a location that is closer to me, but when I stopped by there, I was treated rudely, so I made an appointment at the Irondale location, which is where I bought my tires a few months ago. Absolutely ridiculous waste of my time and gas! I will never buy from Firestone again.
Took my truck there because of a rattling from a wheel. Appointment was at 10, truck didn’t enter the bay at 1130. They said they don’t work on vehicles with wheel spacers and that I would have to take it to another shop. Fine. Took my truck home and the wheel was wobbling that night so i parked it. Took the wheel off and every single lug nut was off the studs inside the wheel. If i was on the highway that could have likely got me killed. Unbelievably bad people.

Services is friendly but Im about to take my truck in to get the same thing fixed the third time.Dripping this to a one star from two. After the last fiasco I let them change my breaks. That was a mistake. Theyve been screeching since the new breaks went on, and somehow they screws up my e-brake which hasnt worked since the visit. I even took it back to let them re-fix it and they couldnt.Never again. Theres a reason with over 100 reviews they cant even get to 4 stars. Listen to the reviews. Ill be doing all my business at Green Garage for now on.
Ive been using this Firestone for 20 years or so. Always helpful and nice. I was pleased to see that all the staff was wearing masks and they separated all the seating way far apart and covered each chair with disposable plastic sheeting.

An real mechanic who looked for the problem!Over the weekend my car mysteriously was suddenly dead (no sounds or lights) after an hour in a store. We moved from Chicago after a cold winter and had a new battery put in by Firestone with no issues (as expected). Took my car to the dealership and they said it was the battery. Since it was under warranty (and the battery was not giving any previous hint of a problem, I took it to Oporto Firestone to check. Rosie (the Manager) and Kenneth(the mechanic), listened and ultimately handled everything. The battery was good. One of the battery connection bolts was stripped. We think that was why the ‘no power’ was so sudden. (we’ll know for sure if it doesn’t happen again) Not only was everything fixed (wipers, air filter, etc). The bill was a fraction of what the dealership would have charged.A unique professional experience at Firestone thanks to Rosie and Kenneth.

Rosie is the best! I had the perfect storm of things go wrong with my car on Sunday afternoon. I had 2 flat tires then ended up having my radiator go all while I was out of town and needed to get home. Everyones worst nightmare, right? Rosie went out of her way to get the part and stayed late to ensure I was taken care of and could go home on Sunday. She even followed up yesterday to make sure I got home okay since she knew I was traveling alone. This store is super lucky to have someone like Rosie. I wish all my experiences with car places were like this. I really got lucky that, thats where my car ended up getting towed with the flat tires. I dont think any other person would have gone out of their way esp when I came back with the radiator issue.

This is the best place. I am traveling and had an issue with my car right as they were about to close. I called and explained the issue and the gentleman I spoke to was kind and let me bring the car in anyways. They did not overcharge me, the whole staff was courteous, and they fixed my car quickly. I went there this past Saturday for an oil change and to take advantage of my lifetime alignment. When they looked at my car it was recommended that I get a new battery, outer tie rods on my front end and a wheel bearing and they refused to honor the lifetime alignment before the work was done. I was going to get the work done but then I began to think. I bought my current battery a year and half ago and I shouldnt need to get it replaced so soon. I decided to go get a second opinion. I took it to Tire Engineers down the street. The guys tested the battery right in front on me and it registered almost brand new. They then looked at my suspension and everything was fine. So it looks like Firestone tried to take advantage of me and recommend work I didnt need. I ended up purchasing a life alignment at Tire Engineers at a discount so I didnt have to back to Firestone. I will no longer be getting any work done there.
One stop shop for any kind of service. Done right the first time. Very knowledgeable staff with your time in mind. Ive been around cars and mechanics all my life and know if they are trustworthy or not and these guys have my trust. I cant see going anywhere else for inexpensive quality work to be performed on any car of mine.

This place is in business to gouge their customers as much as they possibly can, while also doing the work as slow as they possibly can. They were empty at a time when other places were busy, suggesting other people have gotten the memo on this place and they get zero repeat business. Stay away from this place.For example they charge $43 to replace a part that cost them $4 (a brake pin) when there was essentially zero added labor because they were already working on the brakes. Terrible place.Update: Firestone didn’t do anything to remedy the situation when I responded to their message below, so I wouldn’t recommend responding to their messages like the one below. I stand by that this place is in business to gouge customers as much as they can get away with.

This is the worst Firestone ever. I had an appointment for 12 pm today. I arrived at 11:40am and checked in for the services I wanted performed on my car. I was meant to wait there but I decided to go have lunch with my coworkers. I told them to call me when the car is ready and that I will be heading back to work. My car is equipped with GPS and I tracked my car it has not moved since I parked it. At 3:30pm I called Firestone to inquire about when my car will be ready and to my greatest surprise, I was informed that they have not even touched my car. I reminded them that I get off at 4:30 and I need my car to be ready by then. The lady I spoke to on the phone promised that my car will be ready when I arrive. The GPS on my car showed movement on my car at 5pm. I arrived Firestone at 5:15 pm and they had just pulled my car in to work on. I told them that I cant wait any longer. They had my car for more than 5 hours and yet they did not do anything. I told them I would never ever return there or ever do business with them. As far as I concerned you will never earn my business or referal. The worst part of my experience is that they never called to inform me that they couldnt perform the services I requested on my vehicle 😡. I have been a loyal customer of Firestone for over 15 years and never had any issues but todays experience was the worst experience ever for me. Thanks but no thanks. You will never work on my car again.
Took over 5 hours for an oil change and brake check. I had called to see if I needed to make an appointment and was told to just bring it in, no problem. Then when I was finally getting my vehicle back, was told I should have made an appointment and I was lucky they even got a chance to look at it. I will NOT be a returning customer.
Actually here right now. This place is awesome. They work quickly and my car always works the way its supposed to when I leave. Simple. They do a good job.

It took them almost 2 & 1/2 hrs. to do a 45 minute job. The vehicle was up on the rack almost 45 minutes before they even started to work on it and they were expecting us and wasnt busy.
The atmosphere that the manager Rosie provides is so inviting. She keeps the customers updated on the progress of their cars, suggests services and finds the best price.
My AC went out and I went to firestone because of their weekend hours. They told me my compressor and condenser needed to be replaced. replacing the compressor is typically one of the most expensive AC problems. I went to get a second opinion. Turns out there wasnothing wrong with the compressor or condenser. And I only had to get a leak fixed and a fan replaced. Please learn from my near miss. Do not let then con you out of a couple grand!
Took my Tahoe up to this location, no appt. On a Sunday. They were running a small crew given the fact that it was Sunday. Tom and his guys did an excellent job replacing my alternator, replaced battery, brake check, rotate, balance, and aligned, for a very reasonable price. Even on a Sunday, with a lot of other customers to take care of, these guys told me they could get it done, and they got it done, even knocked a little off the total price... great guys, great service... will definitely take my truck there again!
DO NOT TRUST THEIR DIAGNOSIS!I just purchased two new tires and requested an alignment. They put the tires on and then told me that they were unable to align my front-end and it was going to cost $480+ for a new upper ball joint and a tie-rod end.Im not a mechanic. But I know that a bad ball joint on a 4runner is highly unlikely. So I took my vehicle to TWO other mechanics. They both verified that there was no problem with the ball joint. I had the second of the two perform the alignment and he was able to do so in about five minutes with zero issues.Also, the guy at the service desk (Justin) was very rude when I asked him to price match some tires. He initially had me sign a work order before the price match, which isnt a big deal. But then he was short with me when I requested to see the price breakdown before handing over my credit card. Rude front-of-the-house staff is bad news for any business.Firestone will not be receiving any more business from me. I will be taking my vehicles to folks that I can trust.
We had a blowout on the highway, the state trooper sent us here, we limped in and they wouldnt help up, we went to Action where they totally took care of us. We have a class c motorhome and needed a Michelin 10 ply heavy duty tire, its like a heavy duty truck tire and Firestone was not interested in even attempting to help us smh...

Stopped here on our 1200 mile trip home for an oil change. When we asked how long itd be, we were told 1 hr- 1 1/2 hrs. Two hours later, the car had still not been moved into the bay. When we asked how much longer, the employee responded with attitude and sarcasm. The car was finally done after 2 1/2 hours. Later on in our trip, we noticed they had stolen most of a prescription medication that we had in the back seat. It wasnt easily accessible, so they obviously were digging through our belongings. Thankfully, that is the only thing we have found missing. Overall, a poor experience. I definitely do not recommend using this businesss services.
They did a great job. My sons Honda needed new brakes and tires, and Robe Mann was closed Thanksgiving weekend. Service advisor, Kip was prompt, professional, and explained the issues thoroughly. They got me out quickly and the price was excellent. I will use them again.

Lie ConsistentlySince my most recent review of Firestone, they have reached out to me, and has offered me to spend an additional $530.00 for a set regular road tires (Firestone Brand), after they charged me $1,900.00 for a job I did not authorize them to do. No, I drove pass the offer, and will no longer do service with Firestone.
Takes a while sometimes but they always get the job done. And they are always nice, even serve coffee, some busy days they have popcorn, chips and cookies and even have a small kid table section with a tire bin of toys to accommodate the young ones!
My wife waited about 3 hours for an oil change. Pretty sure they forgot that my car was there because there werent many cars being worked on. Im never going back there again.
Ive been disappointed with my last couple of visits. Im definitely a Firestone customer but Ill be going to a different one now. After being charged for service I didnt receive. And having to straighten that out with the Firestone Card company CFNA and having my credit score tank I just cant go back. I had a family member take thier care here and they ended having to have their car fixed by the dealership. Which they untimely paid for. But who wants to go through all that

Absolute worst customer service experience! I have been going to them for years and will not be returning to this location ever again. Left my car to have tires to be put on, was told they were not that busy and would start on my car in about 1 hour. Returned back over 3 hours later to find my car still parked in the same spot (by the front door) and not touched. Had to wait an additional 2+ hours to get them done. Was told I needed a wheel bearing for my car and it would take several days to get the part in house from BMW. Called three times throughout the week and now the day before I am to have it done, still cannot tell me that they have the part. Was told that they could have the part in just minutes, if I will just bring the car in tomorrow.
There is a reason why they give $20 oil change coupons. Because the service is terrible. It took 1hr 45m to change the oil in my car. Corporate apparently does not train their employees and if I had to bet there was likely no ASE Certified mechanic there.This was my first visit to have my oil changed since I normally do it myself. Even without all the fancy lifts and tools, I myself can do it in 30 minutes.Save yourself a headache and steer clear.UPDATE: Day 2 I had to return because the car was leaking oil. NIGHTMARE!!

What is your response? No you didnt. I mean really?!?Is it my fault employees of Firestone cannot document my file correctly? Nope!!!I have been a customer of Firestone for at least 5 years. In that time, I have requested my phone number to be changed. So then they say, it was under an old phone number. Ok fix it!Dont get defensive, fix my problem. Customer service is what will keep your customers. I will not come back to this location...ever in life. Reed went out of his way to get me back on the road as I was traveling thru Birmingham and had tire issues on my RV.( Rarely do they do RV tires) 2 new tires and back on the road using only hand tools as my RV and trailer wouldnt fit in the shop. Thanks again Reed.
I drove fifteen minutes to another firestone and received my Uber inspection. I called this Irondale Firestone to ask if they do uber inspections so i could save time and gas if they do not inspect. Frank told me they did and I asked if there was an appointment that I needed to make and he advised me no. Went to this Firestone and Frank told me in person we really dont do Uber inspections. So I advised him I called before I wasted my gas and that I just talked to him on the phone and he said you didnt say Uber inspections. He offered to do a plain inspection but not for Uber. So I said maybe you misheard me but I did say for Uber thank you anyway. Why would I just need an inspection done on my car when I get my car serviced at the dealership that it was purchased from. Even if you didnt know that information I came for a specific reason. And Im too old to waste my time or anyone elses.Time is money. I dont care if someone stole all four of my tires in front of the building I would never spend anymore time here and definitely no money. Someone needs a skills evaluation on products and service and extra customer service training never hurt anyone. First impressions are important.
Go ahead and add 2 hours to whatever time they tell you its going to take. 4 hours to have my brake pads when I had a 7:30am appt. I realize its not an exact science but youve got to be at least in the ballpark. If you can drop it off and come back later, probably not a bad place. If you have to wait... Well plan on waiting a looooong time.

They were unable to determine the cause of the problem, and two days later my car broke down on the side of the road.I will go elsewhere in the future.

They took three hours to change my oil and do a vehicle inspection yesterday. They tried to sell me on at least four repairs that were over $100 a piece (some that I had just done recently and definitely didnt need), and then tried twice to get me to open a Firestone credit card to pay for their outrageously expensive services. These guys are salespeople through and through and didnt seem to really care about me as a customer.
