I stared working there last Tuesday, and it is a nice place to work! My coworkers are nice people and they have lovely places to eat your lunch!
I purchased boots online. They received their money, and I never received my boots. Its almost 3 weeks later. I wrote customer service and they said they would look into it. Not much to look into. The tracking number for shipment shows the boots were never picked up or sent to UPS. As of right now Im still waiting on a response from customer service before I need to dispute the charge with my credit card company. You cant take peoples money and not give them anything in return (Thats theft).Tough to stay in business when thats your policy.
Passes up highly qualified applicants willing to work, District Manager too lazy to even setup a second interview. What a Shame when people need it most.
Update: 1 -> 3 stars. I was contacted by a very understanding manger, Linda, and she just wanted to make sure I was heard and take care of anything on her end. I stopped by today while it was extremely busy and ended up browsing boots and Lizzett offered to help me with a pair of boots I was looking at and I saw her leave the store 2 minutes later and I couldn’t find the other boot she had taken. She must be new and I hope she gets the needed training she so desperately needs when it comes to actually helping customers.Original review: I have just witnessed an extremely unfortunate event at the Chico Ca boot barnA couple of ladies were purchasing boots and the customer asked for military discount. The store associate helping her, Lizzett (who was not wearing a name tag and name was found out later on) said she would get it after the lady showed her military ID.Once the transaction was completed, the customer double checked the discount was applied and it was not. The associate acknowledged she forgot. She went to get the manager and came back to let us know the manger was on the phone and would be out when he was done.About 5 minutes later another associate comes out, Andrew (actually wearing a name tag), and apologized but was not able to help her because the transaction already went through. She said to just go ahead and return it all. He walks away then comes back to ask to see the military ID. She showed him then he asked to physically see it and took a while examining it as if the problem was the authenticity of the ID when it was forgetfulness of the associate.The manger, Wyatt, comes to do the return and add the discount. At the end he tells the customer he is a veteran and asked that she show her ID next time after his close examination. She said she did and he said he was there to protect his associates and the lady needed to leave.The customers friend came in to ask for the stores associates names (lizette and Wyatt) because they didn’t have name tags. She told Lizette it would have been nice to correct the manager when he was wrongly accusing the customer of not showing her ID. She forgot Wyatt’s name and asked again. He immediately declined and said he needed to ask her to leave. She asked again and he asked her to leave several times more and the store security guy came to assist her exit. She politely (and had been the whole time) asked the security guy what the mangers name was and replied “Wyatt” and she left without problem.How is this expectable to refuse telling someone your name and making them leave because of it? Why was the customer treated as if the associates accident was the customers fault? Can security cameras prove that the ID was actually shown and the associate lied? I mean I saw the whole thing go down and so appalled I left my Christmas items and left. Shame on you boot barn.I would to give further detail if needed. This happened around 530pm on Christmas Eve
I will never shop at bootbarn again!!! 10/27/19 I went into one of their stores to buy my baby a shirt for thanksgiving. I was greeted when we walked in which is to be expected. Told the girl I was fine and I’d let her know if I needed help. From there I felt like I was being hunted down and felt very uncomfortable. At one point I saw the manager say sometimes an employee and the employee nodded her head and then began to follow me as well as if I didn’t already have enough of them following me in the first place. I couldn’t even shop and hardly even touched anything because I felt that embarrassed and uncomfortable to shop. My cousin who was with me came up to me and said I had at least 5 employees closing in on me and I can’t figure out why since I didn’t even have a product in hand. At that point we left and my cousin said something to the manager, the manager smiled at my cousin and said have a nice day in a very condescending way! I have been a loyal customer for almost 8 years and I’m even a credit card holder but not anymore.
Do not order a gift card online from this place if you want it to arrive anytime soon. Ordered a gift card 10 days ago, no clue where its at, and customer service provides no help.
Yes I called over a week ago. I waited to hear back from somebody at corporate, or even Regional to hear my complaint. I was told that a call would be forthcoming in 3 to 5 business days. So far, Dead Silence. It is my opinion, that Boot Barn does not deserve not only my business, but at this stage of the game, anybody in Rapid City in the surrounding area. And if this is the attitude that Boot Barn corporate takes, then they dont deserve the business of the American people as a whole. I was embarrassed at the store, I was lied to at the store, I had a deal going at the store, with a store associate, that was taken away at the register. I not only had to go elsewhere to get the boots I wanted, at a price that I wanted, that I should have had at Boot Barn with their price match guarantee, as it was explained to me by the sales associate, but corporate attitude toward me is appalling. And should be appalling to anybody running a business, entrusting their business to subordinate employees, and any faith or trust anybody has should be Smitten by the attitude of Boot Barn corporate. Youre a disgrace to the American businessman, the American people, and the United States as whole.
I love our store in Lebanon,Tn,always helpful and courteous. My only complaint is.I received a beautiful calendar with awesome pictures and ready to hang and who you hired to layout the calendar needs to look at the setup.Not useable for a calendar,but will use the pics for other use.
I dont know who is in management for this corporation, but these people are MIA. They are so unprofessional and obviously dont care to increase their business. I was told by the sales associate that I could get 20% off if I applied for a card, so I did. I was denied and was told there was no phone number and to wait until I received a letter. That was after I spent about $400 at the store. When I received the letter it said that the reason for denial is my credit score: 826. Hello, since when is 826 a bad credit score? Further, I called the number on the letter and it was A WRONG NUMBER!!!! What the heck? Who is running this company? I give them another year before they start closing stores....
Bought a $250 Stetson Hat in KC, KS. Couldnt shape because their steamer was broke. They suggested I go to the location in Blue Springs, MO. Called first time; said to come in in the am and they could do it. Before I made the 45-min drive, called to verify. Steamer was broke. I love Boot Barn, but love it less now. Folks want their hats shaped BB!
Placed an order. Scheduled to ship next business day. IT DIDNT! Talked with customer service twice daily as they assured me for 3 days it would be shipping. Also, said they would be expediting my order. Never got a call, nor was my order expedited. Called into customer service again, they refused to get me a supervisor and said it wasnt their fault they advertise Next Day Shipping, but really dont offer that service. Corporate number rings and rings, no answer, no voicemail. Bad Business!

My husband bought my daughter the cutest boots from here but they were too small. I took the original receipt and drove 20 miles out to Boot Barn to return them. I had the original receipt but I didnt have the card he used to purchase them so they wouldnt allow a return. I advised the manager that their return policy doesnt say anything about needing the card only the receipt. They couldnt even refund hus card. He has to physically return them himself. I was actually going to see about exchanging for another size but the manager here at boot barn in Dallas didnt even offer a store credit or an exchange. Guess what Boot Barn? Your crappy return policy just cost you 2 customers.
I got my first pair of cowboy boots from Boot Barn almost 15 years ago. They have a great selection of cowgirl boots in store and online. I have purchased 7 pairs of boots from Boot Barn over the years and am always impressed by the knowledgeable staff!
Me & my husband visited the new Boot Barn in Virginia Beach this past weekend & were so disappointed. First off-the boot selection for mens size 12 & womens size 9 was almost non existent. Being that those are the most common shoe sizes, that just doesnt make sense. 2nd, my husband was looking through t-shirts & trying them on & the VERY rude sales associate named Justin kept cutting his eyes @ us & going back & folding the shirts before we were even done looking through them. Ive worked retail before-I know your just trying to do your job,but that IS how you make sales-by letting the customers look through the merch. When we went to check out we were oh so lucky to get Mr. Justin & he was the most rude sales associate Ive ever encountered. If I was the manager of this store I would seriously consider the attitudes of my employees-will not be shopping there again! I might shop online only because I love Mirandas Idylwyld collection-but after our experience Saturday I dont know if its worth giving Boot Barn our hard earned money :(- Not a fan in Virginia
I bought a pair of Cody James boots for $200 from the location in Williston North Dakota and 2 months later the inner lining started to come out which started to grip onto my feet causing the boots to be very difficult to take off. It was at that point I found out how screwed up this location is, I tried to return them and they typed on the receipt sold as is when I purchased them. So the store told me Im sorry we cant return them for you because they were sold as is. There was nothing wrong with the boots when I purchased them.
I bought the Shyanne western ladies boot on Saturday fitted fine in the store but after walking & standing in This boot Pure Pain!! There was a inward bulging on the outer side of the boot digging into the outer part of my calf & I called Corporate Office & I was Told NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT NOT RETURNABLE because the boot had been wornDuh How would I have known if I didn’t wear the boot I bought it on Saturday & wore it on Saturday NOT RETURNABLE! SO JUST BE AWARE WALK AROUND IN THE STORE FOR ATLEAST AN HOUR BEFORE BUYING OTHERWISE BUYER BEWARE☠️☠️☠️ They did offer me to buy another pair HmmmFirst & Last Time Customer & I Will Definitely Pass This Information to Others 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
My experiences with BB is pretty much the same as most of these. They are terrible. Ordered standard Levi/Wrangler jeans three weeks before X-mas. They were NOT back ordered. They arrived 7 weeks later ! (ugh!)
I ordered a $29 shirt December 29th it got shipped to my billing address and not my shipping address. It’s now been 2 months and I haven’t got my shirt or my money back. They said they had to do a claim and a dispute and that’s why I couldn’t get my money back. Long story short after ME calling THEM 5 times since December to them calling me ZERO. They went to order me a new shirt and was going to charge me a total of 42 for the shipping. Beyond annoyed with the way boot barn has handled the whole thing needless to say I haven’t got my shirt and who knows if that money is actually going back into my account. I will not be ordering from boot barn again which i did a lot of business with.
Ordered a pair of boots online for my wife for her birthday. I got them (took over a week to get them via UPS Ground) and they were damaged. So I called Customer Service and they directed me to send them back on my own dime. Its the 21st Century, their return policy needs to get with the times. I only went with Boot Barn for the boots I wanted to get my wife because they had a coupon for first time customers. I wont be a returning customer. Ill take my business to Amazon, like I shouldve in the first place.
Ordered a pair of boots specifically because it said Ships in 1-3 days. Two weeks later they still hadnt shipped. I had sent 4 emails asking about the order and finally 2 weeks later I get replies to 3 of the four. One said Well get those out right away. One said It does ship within 1-3 days. And the third said We have just been informed this is out of stock, we have canceled your order. Not Happy!
I have been waiting 27 hours now for a call back regarding their policy of verifying gift card balances before allowing you to use it for an online purchase. Worst company Ive ever shopped at. This was the first time I shopped here and it will be the last.
I am so very disappointed in Sheplers and Boot Barn. If I could leave negative stars I would. I have been a loyal customer for 20 years and have always enjoyed shopping in their retail stores. Last month I placed my first online order, and today nearly three weeks later, my boots have still not arrived. I alerted both Boot Barn and UPS the day my boots were to arrive, but did not, June 4th. Today its the 20th of June and I cannot get anyone at Boot Barn to help me. They will not refund my money nor will they ship a new pair of boots. They stated their policy is to wait for UPS to conduct their internal investigation. The problem is, nobody at Boot Barn is actively managing the situation with UPS, its all on me. I have never had a worse experience with an online retailer. I do not nor should I care about Sheplers relationship with UPS. The boots were lost or stolen, make a decision and provide some decent customer service. At the very least, refund my money immediately. I should not be expected to wait until UPS has finished their investigation. This is disappointing and upsetting, as I needed these boots when I ordered them, and paid for expedited shipping as well. Multiple emails to Boot Barn, multiple emails and calls to UPS, and still no resolution. Customer service works like this - keep your loyal customers happy and they stay with you. If you do not, you lose them forever. So sad that customer service does not exist at Boot Barn/Sheplers. This is a far cry from the company of old. A very loyal customer has now been lost forever. Just refund my money and I will quietly move on to a retailer who is customer focused, and cares about my business.

My husband went to boot barn in Lufkin tx on June 24 to order a pair of work boots..he ordered them, paid for them, turned in the employer voucher..today July 3rd we called to check on them Adrian the manager on duty said they werent ordered until yesterday July 2..couldnt really tell us why or when they would be in or give us a tracking #..then her story changed & she said they were ordered on the 24th but no other info..she kept apologizing..then a few minutes later we get a call from the assistant manager(? Sandy) saying the boots werent ordered until yesterday because of being on back order?? no call to let us know this?? crazy stories & lies..we said cancel & give us voucher back..she said already sent to corporate we send them every Monday...then another call a fews minutes Sandy again oh we have the voucher..why wasnt it sent?? more lies..we were also told store manager would be in on Monday(by adrain) then sandy tells us a week, then it changed to Sat the 4th..THIS STORE IS CRAZY NOONE KNOWS WHAT IS GOING ON, NOONE KNOWS CUSTOMER SERVICE..WE WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!!!Gary & DeAnna Williams

Bought boots over a year ago. Have tried to return for the right size, so many times to no avail . There is no customer service, I cant believe a place would still be in business, that has treated customers so badly. Dont buy boots there, if you have any issues with the product, they will not help you. Its a shame that its still open. Im talking about the Boot Barn in San Martin .
Almost every trip I make to Boot Barn turns out to be a waste of time. They are almost always understaffed, very under trained on products and I have NEVER been able to get a hat shaped in 2 years. I guess I should expect that though, their headquarters are in California. JEEZ
I worked for boot barn for maybe 2 months and it was a horrible experience. I never experienced so much drama, horrible management from the store AND district manager. Trying to get ahold of HR has been close to impossible. I will never work or even shop at a boot barn again.
