This Target is not that large so there isn’t a wide selection but is perfect for university students to get essentials on the go. I recommend price matching to save even more money!! They are very nice about it. Everything is self check out.

Everything at this Target store is excellent and exceeds my expectations. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, nice and kind always willing to help as well as the CVS Pharmacy staff. The whole store and staff does whatever they can to help the person/customer.

For a fun size Target, you would think things would be easy to find without having to walk up and down every aisle.Not too many options of products. I needed a screwdriver and the options were horrible, but I guess it did get the job done.I think that the layout of the store could be better, coming from a space planner point of view.

Closes super early and has a limited range of products. But it’s target so it’s still cool. Also, they don’t sell green onion. Also I paid 35¢ for a limón here even tho they were 29¢ at Trader Joe’s

The girl at Starbucks Karina. Had very horrible customer service. She gave us the wrong drinks and then had horrible attitude about it. I even told her to have a great day and she didnt respond im giving it 3 starts only because our target experience was great but the girl Karina at Starbucks shouldnt be in customer service if she is going to be inconsiderate and rude to people that are trying to be nice and get some coffee. Hopefully she will improve in her sustomers service.

Good store and good prices just wish the security guard wouldn’t follow me through every aisle. If you’re uncomfortable about having students in your store don’t open up next to a university.

I mean this place does have a lot you need, but there is not much variety. Hi...I am a local college student and I am about to share with you my thoughts on this Target. I am actually a very big fan of target. I feel I can get pretty good quality for a fair price. I typically dont go out shopping and go through with the task virtually, but when I do, Target is normally my go-to. This Target is very new and I was sort of expecting more. It is aesthetically pleasing and I love walking through it, but the prices seem a bit higher for a small quantity. I know they are trying to cater to a different population, but they should be charging so high for such items. Another concern is the selection. Target is known, at least from my point of view, to be an establishment with a variety of many different items. You dont really see that here mainly because of size constraints, but why build a Target in such a small lot of land. Well if you have transportation, I would recommend going to the other Target in Irvine, but if this is your only option, its not too bad.

The UCI Target is small in size, has lots of inventory, cool music, and a good vibe. Their employees are positive and helpful. A shout-out to Tam, an engineering grad who works there. Hes smart, kind, and helpul, a superstar.

Relatively small but well stocked and they have most of the essentials. The best part is that it doesnt get as crowded as other targets.

Lost my ID there and the staff did absolutely nothing to help me find it. Also, everything runs out and they don’t even have much to begin with.

This place is small but has all the essentials. I actually like that since it makes me get what I need and not spend forever browsing. Most of the cash registers are self checkout too. The fresh produce and meat section is small, but you can get what you need.

Small and kind of expensive. Its like a little outlet store, with a little bit of everything but very little variety to choose from. Useful for college students who need something quick for their dorm like towels, sheets, basic kitchen stuff, etc, but its nothing like a full-size Target when it comes to prices and options.

Nice place. Cute and a nice size for one located so close to campus. Honestly, the customer service was pretty bad. I asked 3 workers one question each and received rude responses. No smiles and not even simply pretending to be happy to talk. Thats not how you deal with customers who in all honesty were being polite and curious. Dont plan on going back there any time soon.

I absolutely love coming here for essentials; snacks, paper, water. I dont understand why a lot of the reviewers here are so upset about the availability of items and prices. This Target is catered towards STUDENTS. If you have an issue with the prices, just ask for a PRICE MATCH to their website and theyll do it, no need to complain and feel entitled about every little thing. Employees here are very respectful/helpful and thats coming from a darker skinned Latino shopper thats never felt profiled in all the times Ive bought from here. You want to do your family sized shopping? Go to ANOTHER TARGET, once again this Target is catered towards STUDENTS.

Was there for their soft open event and the store is looking great! This is a smaller store designed for quick in and out purchases of essentials (not a giant target with furniture and lots of home goods) which seems perfect for its location on UCI grounds.Plenty of basic foods like chips, soda, and ramen. You know. College food.Small clothing section for basic needs.There is a Starbucks inside for your caffeine addiction.CVS also located here.First day so it was busy and there was excitement. The employees all seemed happy to be there and excited about their new store. A lot of friendly people eager to help.Great addition for all the UCI students!

First star: there was a woman in scrubs near the pharmacy passing miniature Kit Kats out of a basket in a ploy to incentivize customers to sign up to fill their prescriptions there. Star awarded for unique new Venn diagram-style branding strategy aimed at the desperately ill who also harbor a hardcore chocolate addiction.Second star: the (hilarious) absurdity of not being able to purchase some really normal items that I’ve always been able to find at Target before, like Aims adult cat food. Star awarded for so small as to be Twilight Zone-esque end-cap of a cat food aisle.

Super convenient! Great to pick up daily little things from food to medication. Perfect for the college next door.

Has several food/school supplies constantly out of stock. The place is usually sort of messy. Worst of all, they gouge the prices to screw over the poor uci students! I am constantly price matching to lower prices from their own website!

There is nothing here .Took an Uber to this Target .What a waste of time and money. Not one item that I would get at a regular Target was here. I want trying to find specialty items. Just basics like a broom, plain black slacks, white shirt, toiletry items. It is so limited they shouldnt be advertising as a Target

Its efficient, but the pharmacy products I go to Target for are more expensive here - too much more (10-25%) - than at the other locations, which took me by surprise. This is definitely targeted at a captive audience, as in UCI students, and its more like an overpriced convenience store. I will use other locations for my shopping. Stars for being open late.

If youre not a college student or live nearby there really is no reason to go here unless if your here for quick stop. But for what its supposed to be for college students it does its purpose.

This is a very tiny little store. It does have everything that most Target stores have, but it reminds me more of a Walmart than a Target store.All the Departments are there, food, pharmacy, housewares, phone paraphernalia, clothing, a Starbucks, crackers, snacks, Hardware, home decorations, office supplies, pots and pans, rice cookers, coffee pots, painting supplies, baby items, some childrens toys and of course any kind of candy bar you might want.What I choose the store for my regular shopping at Target, probably not. This Target is kind of like a 7-Eleven on steroids. Brand new store (2017)Its a smaller version of a normal Target, but not sure if considered a City Target. Though small, they carry every essential from produce, electronics, household, etc.They also have a Starbucks and CVS PharmacyLarge shared parking lot

Convenience and fast service for online pickup.

Prices are higher then normal target and selection is limited. Good for uci kids with no car but I rather drive 3 miles to the big target or Albertsons to grab my food

Its good what u need! But no new games or amiibo figures for the Nintendo console! And prepaid cards for it to( Nintendo,sony, and microsft) and also the Starbucks is s point less one sense theres one across the street! I hope they will get new games and pre order games as well!

This review is based on what I noticed on 6.18.17, which Im pretty sure is before they said they would officially open.They were giving away free products like tortilla chips, bai drinks, and sparkling aquafina drinks. They also had a little popcorn cart, caricatures(!), and a DJ booth. Cool they sell UCI gear here too.As far as a Target next to UCI, this is a small Target. But it packs as much as it can, including a CVS pharmacy and Starbucks. But if you think theyll have as many options in what it offers, youd be wrong.They do sell groceries, electronics, household items, and clothes. Just not as much volume as youd want. Luckily, the convenience factor is off the churt!As far as the cons, the prices were kind of really high in comparison with other targets. Like 25% more expensive. Hopefully that changes, but this Target will most likely be busy anytime that its open due to location and the awesomeness of Target.

This is a small-format Target. They have the kinds of basics you would expect for groceries, pharmacy, and household goods, but not so much in the way of furniture, automotive, or electronics. I would think of this as the same type of store as CVS, rather than a full-sized Target. I will also note that parking is pretty painful at the university center on weekdays.

More expensive then other target. No variety In there dairy and grocery section. I rather go to Trader Joe’s or Albertsons for food and take the uci bus to target at spectrum or on Alton.

Not a real Target, it’s a mini-Target, mostly grocery store. Frustrating that it’s not indicated in the name. Paid $13 to get there from the airport to find out.

I am really sorry to say that...This particular Target has a Racial Profiling issue! Employees discriminates customers for no apparent reason. Ever time I shop there, I get cold disrespectful treatments from the Employees, having very poor attitudes and Every time I ask for help to find items in the store there is No help to assist, but when I finally find help, they are very sloppy and disrespectful dont take the time and effort to help me. I thought it was only my point of view, until I wittiness the same treatment of disrespect to another follow in the store when one employee clearly was following a man all around the store. At that moment I wanted to call the corporate office to have them know the issues of poor customer service and my multiple bad experiences I get from this store alone.....Its very draining for a student to have to go to an establishment which is clearly hostel and racist And then have to come home embarrassed and shamed for who they are and FOR JUST SHOPPING!! University Centers Targets in Irvine clearly has a huge issue and it needs to be resolved. The consented Discrimination, Racial Profiling and pure disrespect to particular people has to stop!! I think its time that corporate to be aware of the issues at hand and to notify store mangers to set up general meeting to resolve the issues in this Target store or have corporate clean up shop and to bring in new and better customer service who will treat people like human beings.

It is much smaller than a normal target, but has everything you need for everyday life. It feels like an assortment for students. Furniture and electrical appliances are rarely handled.
