They need to hire competent workers who know how to rotate products correctly this is the third time from August to today 2021 I pick up items just to come home to find out their expired.

I really like the store considering that its a smaller grocery store its great and they have a good selection and variety of different things.I was disappointed with an employee in the cafe named Maria who wasnt very helpful and was very rude I was surprised.The employees in the deli are doing a great job - attentive & kind. I had a young woman help me who went above & beyond to accommodate my order. Its wonderful & refreshing to experience that kind of treatment now a days. No matter what youre doing, its the little things that make quite the difference!✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

Shopping in store at 8:00 thurs morning. While there was sanitizing wipes available by the cart parking area, outside of shields for the cashiers there appeared to be no other obvious concern for viral protection of customers. The employees were huddling around talking, no masks or gloves. In the past the employees behind the meat counter wore gloves and face shields while cutting deli. Today they were only wearing gloves. There is enough evidence the normal breathing spreads some viral agents. It would be nice to see the store taking a more proactive approach to customer and employee health protection. I was very disappointed

I shop here regularly, and especially enjoy their freshly baked Italian bread. The produce section is well-stocked, and they carry items I cannot find elsewhere. Also, the location works for me.

One star, because TOPS cant be bothered to ensure employees are wearing masks during a global pandemic.

The store is so full of junk and non-food items. Shopping carts full of discounted random items are shoved into any open isle spot they can find. Doesnt seem like the store knows what customers it wants to appeal to which really lends to its selection to be all over the place. Best going to P&C Fresh or Wegmans.

Believe me, they know their competitors prices; they have a front office and they have computers and they shouldnt be expected to price things below market value. Thank goodness. If they did low ball it, youd have a low ball, poor quality store. Im with the sentiment above: Its a grocery store. Its not Wegmans. But it serves the public at a level appropriate to market demands. Lets leave it at that.

Tops is a great place to find groceries and supermarket products of all sorts, particularly fresh produce and natural and organic groceries. Prices are slightly high compared to other supermarket chains, but product quality is very good and customer service is commendable. This particular location also carries exotic meats such as kangaroo, alligator, bison, and more.

Cashier wonderful.No carts in store. Several customers had to go out and get their own. Still that way I left 50 minutes later. Shelves should be filled earlier in the day. Hard to get around. Never had any complaints about this Tops before.

This review pertains to the Carry Out department at Tops on North Triphammer Rd. Every time I go the staff seems very short and inconvenienced to take orders. Im not sure if its a staffing issue, but they seem to direct their frustration and annoyance at costumers who inconvenience them by ordering a pizza or sub. Today was the last time I will go there. An employee, Maria (black framed glasses, working today was very short and rude to not only myself but multiple costumers. Ive had enough experiences at this location to call it quits. You need more staff or retraining because costumers shouldnt be made to feel bad for ordering something your store provides and this isnt my first unpleasant experience.

Tops itself is a great store, with excellent choices, and great prices. However, the crowd that shops here are not the greatest. Three times I have been accosted in the parking lot, for no reason. I love shopping there for the prices and the quality, but it is always an adventure, and the customers themselves can be difficult to deal with. Both times I have had my grandmother with me, and people have been rude or threatening me in the parking lot for no discernible reason. One Patron followed me into the store and proceeded to threaten me, which the manager did intercede for. But even the manager commented that that person comes to the store regularly and causes trouble. So Im not certain that it is worth the hassle if you are looking for a relaxing family shopping experience.

Location make this store convenient, and it has the wide selection expected from chain stores. However, there are other options in Ithaca such as wegmans that are preferable, if you can spare the time to get to them

Convenient location next to other major stores in Lansing. Good for basic groceries and the subs from the deli counter are quite good.

This TOPs is the good one in Ithaca. Good selection, good produce, only busy around 4:30-5:30pm Mon-Fri. Decent selection of organic, good bread selection in bakery, good fresh pasta selection near the deli. Clean, brightly lit.

Decent prices. Produce is usually pretty good, an okay beer selection, some international and organic/fancy food available. Hot food is limited, unhealthy, and meh. Breads at the bakery are bland and mushy. Self-checkout line is fast, but the regular checkouts usually have only one or two cashiers and long lines.

A decent sized supermarket, but definitely on the more expensive side. You would most likely find any food related products you need here, but going to target would mostly likely be the better option. Never had many problems with the service, helpful when asked. The plus side is that it is opened 24 hours, so you can go at 3:00AM if you need an energy drink for all nighters.

One of the best quality fruits and vegetables in Ithaca along with Wegmans. Great croissants and Quattro Formaggi Pizzas

Great beer in a cool, open warehouse-y space. Excellent bar snacks. Whats not to love?

On the plus side are convenience and mostly friendly employees. Deli meats are plentiful and Tops carries a few items that Wegmans does not (Heidelburg bread and many teas). But, a lot of the produce is of a lesser quality, and aisles and entire store are packed with extra displays which I do not like. Every aisle has multiple extra displays which narrow the aisles and can even make it tough to reach the item youre looking for. Every single check out lane has an extra display at the end so you cant unload your cart readily.

Prices are horrible and even when items are advertised as being on sale its often not what you get charged. The quality of the fruits, veggies & meats arent very fresh, the store isnt kept very clean and the customer service is nonexistent.

Tops has competitive prices, quality meats, and a very friendly staff. The pharmacy is excellent in terms of professional expertise and knowledgeable pharmacists.

Ive watched the selection at TOPS steadily improve over the years, both at this location and in Cortland. Its nice not to have to go all the way down to Greenstar or Wegmans to get items that some might consider specialty but are everyday staples for me. There is some organic produce (still room for improvement) and a growing variety of non-dairy products that I very much appreciate. Im hoping to eventually see increased variety in the prepared food selection.

Great produce department, seems like it always has some sort of sale going on too. Nice selection of departments as well.

I like to shop at Tops for a couple reasons. One is they donate money to school organizations if you purchase Tops brand products. Second, they have aisles that are clearly labeled. Finally, they do not have too many choices which is overwhelming at times. Oh and they have very friendly employees.

Terrible customer service and WAY overpriced! Went here the night I moved to Lansing to get groceries and stock up on some things. I had a cart filled with groceries and when I got in the only open checkout line the young cashier, while cashing out the current customer looked at me and told me not to go into his line because his shift was over in 5 minutes and didnt want to cash out all of my groceries. Shortly before 9pm I asked him where else hed like me to go and he told me to go to self checkout. I left the cart and walked out. Hire these kids and make sure they have decent customer service or fire them! The prices are too overpriced to have terrible customer service. Havent been back since. Save your money and go to Aldi or Wegmans or even Walmart if you can spare the extra 10 minute drive.

The pricing is about higher than other local grocery stores, but it is conveniently located right by the mall. Their produce is pretty good.

Just moved to the area and shop there couple of times. Be aware of prices!!!! Sales items are not marked down as they should be. I had to go to the customer service every time! And the customer service is horrible. They are not welcoming and not friendly at all.

I do most of my shopping at Tops. Prime rib for Christmas was tough. Cooked medium rare to 133°. Very disappointed and think Ill stick to sausages and chicken from Tops and search elsewhere when I need quality meat.

The staff is so rude and their self checkouts are always slow. Whenever a question is asked of their staff, eyes are rolled and they answer the question rudely. Their gas points are a complete scam. They try to be like wegmans but theyre a complete joke.Also, beware this place willingly sells expired food. I cant believe this place is so poorly run.

Yikes! Well stocked but theft issues around gift cards made our visit strange. You can buy 2 $25 gift cards with credit, but $50 gift cards and above are cash only. What a hassle.

Relatively poor offering of a grocery store. The only things they really have going for them are prices (albeit on low quality items) and proximity to NE Ithaca and Cayuga Heights. Most people will just drive to Wegmans but if you just have to have eggs in 5 minutes you must go to Tops.The quality of their produce, ready to eat foods, and meats is awful. Many products are damaged, going bad, or just low quality. I purchased a caesar salad there once that had been made that same day, and it was full of brown mushy lettuce. Just no quality control or standards.Selection of other items is poor. Just stay away unless you are at the utmost end of need.

Fairly average as stores go. The staff is very friendly, but the produce tends to scare me a bit. I go down to Wegmans when I need a lot of fresh produce.If you come here while its busy expect to wait in line 20 minutes to check out, as there are never enough cashiers during the rush.
