Technician showed up, couldnt fix the furnace, told me the control board was bad, and said someone would call me the next day about ordering the part. I called the next day and was told all the technicians were at training and someone would call the next day. Next day, nothing no call no status update and I have no heatVery unprofessional service!
Associate Marvin was actually EARLY and gave excellent advice. Definitely plan to have them provide the necessary service.
I recently had them repair the heating systems at 2 different locations and was very impressed with their responsiveness despite how busy they were and, in one case, how uncooperative the factory technicians were in authorizing a warranty repair. But George and Marvin came thru and got everything up and running.

HSC installed our furnace and hot water heater when we bought our house 5 years ago. Theyve airways serviced it, and theyve been very responsive with any questions or concerns. They techs are always considerate of our house and time. I highly recommend then!!
Have been servicing the ancient boiler in the house since we moved in seven years ago. We finally decided on a new WM boiler an water heater this year. Installation great, timely and convenient. All good.
Justin did a fantastic job cleaning and diagnosing problems with our Utica Boiler hes a really honest man and represents the company well. I would recommend this company and the technician Justin for any heating problems you may have in your home. After getting a $650+ estimate for repairs from another company we called HSC for a second opinion and were notified that our Utica Boiler was working just fine and only needed small repairs that could be made in the future when we had the funds. Thank you HSC well make sure to call you guys anytime we need help with heating/ac.
Theyve done extensive work for us in the past and we were satisfied but when I called today when the service technician was over an hour late to meet my husband, the customer service was absolutely appalling. Rude and obnoxious phone manners. The guy ranted at me about how they were underpaid and I shouldnt complain because other providers such as doctors make you wait longer.
Sent wrong tech, wrong replacement parts on followup visit then argued it was my fault bc I called for appt instead of George calling me??? Business will go down fast like this....

I have a commercial building with four completely different HVAC systems, some ancient some new and HSC has kept them all chugging along for years all the while working with emergencies and my budget. Very easy to work with.
They did a great job servicing my oil boiler, and the cost was VERY reasonable.
Stay away from HSC at all costs.We called them in for routine maintenance on a Buderus 142. They sent two technicians who did not seem familiar with the unit. Not only did they leave the unit with the air intake assembled upside down, but the unit has been sporadically failing to light up ever since the routine maintenance visit. Repeated service visits did not yield any progress in diagnosing the problem. They are unable to do even basic things, such as returning messages left with their answering service, that would be required of a company working on heating systems.A call to Buderus revealed that Buderus itself does not consider HSC to be certified to service Buderus equipment.This company has made it abundantly clear to me that they lack competent technicians, professionalism and proper follow through. If you want to have heat during the Ithaca winters, I suggest seeking another company.
