They charged me $67.50 to look at my car and tell me what I told them and another shop told me. The only reason I took my car to them was because they said they can work on a BMW and can diagnose it; whereas, my other shop couldnt. When I complained about being charged with no answer he didnt bat an eyelash or offer to discount or waive the fee. In fact he didnt say a word. He just took my money and ushered me out.He wanted $120.00 just to switch the valve timimg solenoids to see if the code changed. He wanted $350.00 to install 1 new solenoid. The new solenoid cost $100.00. Why to swap 2 was $60 each and to put 1 new one in was $240. Why does it cost 4x as much to put a new part in as opposed to an old one? It only took me 10 minutes to put the new one in myself. Highway robbery!I was not expected the day I picked up my car because I was out of town. After paying the extortion fee, he said my keys are in the car. The car was out front and unlocked.I will NEVER go there again! And if you want a car, just go pick one out from in front of their building...The keys are in the car. Worst shop EVER!

Dan and his crew will only do whats required and wont try to set you up with unnecessary work. Youll get straight advice and work thats done right the first time. This is the kind of shop you build a relationship with. They know you and they know your car. Not many shops like this left. Also, theyre especially good with foreign cars -- probably the best in town, in fact.

Very happy with their service! When my Mini Coopers check engine light came on during a recent trip from Kansas City to Rolla, I was lucky enough to have my brother-in-law recommend Poettgen to me. They fixed the problem for a very reasonable price and I got home safely and with no further problems.
