Would only go to Steinmetz Auto for transmission repair. My mechanci highly recommended Steinmetz and I found this shop to be the most reliable transmission shop in over 150 miles. I highly recommend Steinmetz.

They are always on top of there work an they always call when they find something else wrong.. Have never had a problem with them an they worked with me unlike most places i would for sure recommend them an they are very reasonable with there prices

I appreciate Sams help repairing the air conditioning line on our older RV. Not many repair shops are capable of more than replacing components of vehicle air conditioning systems, but Steinmetz is able to repair components that can no longer be replaced.

He was no help at all, he was very unfriendly, it seemed like we were a bother to him and he really didnt want to help. But he sure was able to throw out expenses prices for work that he didnt even know if is was the problem. Just very shady. I went to another shop off Missouri boulevard and dixs and they where very helpful even thow he couldnt help me. He went out of his way to look up and track down the parts I needed by calling all the parts stores and dealers in the area and helped me get the parts and help I needed to get my truck fixed fast so I could get home for Christmas. But Steinmetz was ne help at all and was just nasty to my wife and I. I do not recommend at all. Go the the other shop in town. They where great.

The jury is still out on this one. I was told they found the problem with my back up camera coming on when I step on the brake went to pick it up was charged $85 no receipt, and when I got ready to leave I stepped on the brake and guess what my back up camera came on without being in reverse so its still at the shop. I had it there less than a year ago to have the transmission rebuilt and I thought they did good . But now this happens. Just a few months after. Hmmmmmm I guess I will have to see. I almost forgot to mention how unfriendly they seemed. I will change my review either for better or worse once I get my truck back. After having them look at it again I do believe they found the issue. I am very pleased with the results and they didnt charge me any more of say over all they did a great job. They do stand behind their work I know where I will take my vehicles to when I have an issue.

Was told by friends this is the best place in town. Wrong this is the worst place in town in my opinion.Within an hour of picking up my car, I had the same exact issues I was having before. So not only did they not fix my car but they lied about what they did wrong to other areas of the car. I paid out over $1,700 for them to fix 1 thing on the car.Then trying to talk to anyone who worked on my car was a nightmare in its self (was always told none of the mechanics that actually worked on my car wasnt there at this time). I finally took my car to a dealership to be fixed and again I paid for the issue to be fixed (costing me $439.45 to have issue fixed by a DEALER) I WILL NEVER go back to Bob Steinmetz again!

The top transmission shop in the Midwest. If you need a rebuild are transmission swap this is the place to go. I have had three vehicles transmissions rebuilt here and all have been trouble free since.

As a mechanic I have always found them to be helpful and knowledgeable. The have always worked with me to keep costs down with out cutting corners.
