Our car broke down on our way to the Smoky Mountains for vacation. 7 hours into our trip. We had it towed to Bachman for repair, it was Saturday afternoon, so no service technicians till Monday. Scott Harper went WAY out of his way, as a sales guy, to get us set up with a rental to continue our trip. Really helped us out in our time of need!!!Nick, our service advisor, was great!! The engine had locked up and needed replacement. At about 68,000 miles, Hyundai covered this. But I was constantly calling Nick for updates. He was patient and provided me with all the information available.Big thanks to both Scott and Nick for making a bad situation much more bearable!!!!
I bought a brand new Jeep Wrangler back in 2016 when they were still Bales. Called early August for a service appointment because I was experiencing a ABS/Traction Control problem and they couldn’t get me in for a full month. On top of the service repair issue, I called asking about my extended warranty that I purchased through Bales, and they acted as if I was crazy to think they would have my information on file. The phone call was then transferred to Angie where I left a message regarding the situation. I never received a phone call back.
Charged 650.00 to fix my car. Had my Jeep diesel over 6 weeks and we still have same problem. Apparently they dont make the part anymore for my 2005 jeep liberty diesel. Monty the service manager has checked everywhere for the part. He has now located the part which made me extremely happy to think he would keep trying to find this part and went beyond the call of duty. I love my jeep and I only have 58,000 miles on it. I keep my cars a long time. Thanks Monty.
Called service dept @ 515 and will give credit to employee who answered as he was trying to assist, but struggled to figure out their system to get my truck in for a service engine light issue. After 10 min was told the earliest could get me in was sep 9…which is 23 days out…?? Apparently they are not interested in fixing what they sell so i will find another place that is.

Horrible service department. I purchased a 2020 RAM 3500 Dually from this dealer back in February of 2020. Weve had three major issues now with this truck. The latest incident, this morning, was due to a air suspension service light and the reoccurring death wobble. Tab Barnes, who Ive dealt with twice now, said it would be Aug 5th before they could even look at it. No loaner, just expected us to leave the truck.Each time Ive went to these guys theyve given nothing but excuses as to why they couldnt fix the truck sooner, or more importantly why they wouldnt provide a loaner. All three major issues with this truck have been dealt with by other RAM dealers. Each time, weve been given loaners, and this was from dealers we didnt even buy the truck from.Do yourself a huge favor and buy from or get your service done from another dealer.
Had an appointment at 8:30a today with Jeff. My Hyundai Azera repeat complaint axeal and drum replacement 11 months ago. Car making same sound again.My request diagnostic, oil change, and tire rotation. I have taken my car here a few times without incident. I asked when will they be finished was told 2p they will know whats going on with my car. I called at 1p. Left a message waiting on update. No return call, no one cares. Shop closed no one called . Im without my only vehicle. Unable to pick up my children. Unable to get to work. I hope they have not hurt my car. I hope they have not made things worst. I can only pray. And make a complaint.
I would NOT recommend this dealership or its service department for any purchase or repair.I purchased a used vehicle with a We Owe agreement. Bachman agreed to make two minor repairs to the car. I scheduled an appointment with the service department and reminded them twice that I was not responsible for the repair charges and that Bachman would be doing the repairs under the agreement made when we purchased the car. The car was mistakenly sent to a different dealership to make the repairs because Bachman says they thought I was paying for the work. It took a month to get my car fixed, multiple trips to Bachman and many unreturned phone calls.This dealership and its service department is disorganized and terrible at customer service and communication.I find it very interesting that Monty Heim - the Service Manager - has plenty of time to read and respond to negative reviews on Google but has no time to take care of his customers properly.Do yourself a favor and make your purchase or get your repair somewhere else. There are lots of dealerships to choose from, dont settle for this one.
Serious corrosion on all 4 wheels after owning for a yr. I only have 108,000. Miles on vehicle and was told today by Dubois tires I seriously needed new lug bolts as well. All was an accident ready to happen. I have pictures of my return complaint on paper, pictures of corrosion on wheels, faulty lug bolts.I paid today for new wheels, lug bolts and believe me it was very expensive.Service at Bachman is faulty, and no help on faulty parts.Beware this dealership.
Service Department was a pleasant experience.Alex the service tech was fantastic to deal with and extremely polite.made sure I had transportation to get home.
I absolutely do not recommend this dealership. Terrible sales/management. Waited over an hour to do a simple appraisal on the car we were trading in. With no appraisal and no sign of our salesman I had to go find him to get the keys for our vehicle. We came into the dealership today knowing exactly the car we were going to purchase but ended up getting treated like we were a nuisance.
We had our vehicle in and out several times and the manager named Monty took great care of us. He gave us a new Jeep Cherokee while our vehicle was being repaired. Great guy and great service.
My experience has not been good, I took my car in on Friday at 10 am, they kept my car all weekend no phone call or warning of any kind..on Tuesday of next week I went to them my car was on the lift ..I asked for my car no matter what stage they were in and all I had was minor work oil change,Trans flush and fill,tire sensors (2),I was given my car with no bill..the lady was sweet but Im done with them..old bales was better
Giant shout out to the Service and Parts team. These folks once again have taken care of any and all issues with my wife’s Jeep Rubicon.Fast and fixed right service every time-the first time. Make this your go to place for all of your automotive needs and they will make it happen for you. I have purchased and serviced almost all of my vehicles from these folks and have always been treated great from sales to parts and service. Top notch people that always deliver with a smile on their face and treat you like family. Bachman does make the difference!!
I absolutely cannot recommend this dealership for repair work. I made an early morning appointment to have my disabled mothers van looked at. I live 4 hours away, so I took a day off work and drove to Jeffersonville to get the car repaired.When I arrived on time early in the morning the staff told me they were overbooked. I told them my situation, that I wasnt local, and they assured me they would give me priority. They didnt. They were unable to even do diagnostic tests. Had to head back home and make ANOTHER appointment somewhere else and take more time off work to be in the area on a weekday. Dont waste your time or money with Bachman. They dont care about their customers.
Well the sales service was good when I bought my car, but their service department is not good at all. I have an issue with my paint job and I let them know about it. I even took it over for them to see it and they said that they would get back to me. They never did so I called back 5 times and each time I was told that they would call me and again nothing. I even called the manager and he said he would take care of it and it has been 2 weeks without a word. I will never purchase a car from these guys again.
Bubby (Sales) was awesome! Definitely would buy again from him and would recommend to anyone needing a vehicle. Steve (Finance) was true to his word. I generally dislike the car buying process more than anyone I know, but they made it pretty good.
Went in to get system updated to activate the towing package and ended up having a recall as well. They fixed both issues at no charge. Great service!
Have been here since it was originally Bales. Since they have changed to Bachman I have found the service here to still be just as great as before. This is why I still will highly consider them if I ever purchase another vehicle.
2019 RAM 1500 LimitedOn 3/10/2021 my truck started acting up, with multiple codes going off, loss of power steering and brakes to name a few. I had it towed to the dealer in hopes they would be able to diagnose it. Within that week I had the truck returned to me with no rental vehicle in between, per a lady at the dealer they couldnt provide me another vehicle to drive until they figured out what the problem was. When I got my papers for that service all they had seem to do was reset the computer.3/15/2021 on my way home from work the truck does the same thing again while pulling onto my street, causing me to almost wreck into the culvert. Called dealership and was told to bring it back. Dropped it off and was provided with a Jeep from Enterprise rentals (which is not a comparable). Lack of communication, no answers, finally got ahold of someone who informed me that they tried to drive the truck around to get the codes to go off, with no luck they told me I was more than welcome to take the truck home since they couldnt get the codes to go off, knowing that it isnt safe to drive, given we dont know the cause. I went ahead and brought the truck home.4/14/2021 On interstate going 70mph starts doing the same thing again, loss of power steering and brakes. I drive straight to the dealer. Missed a day of work due to complication with availability of a rental from Enterprise, was given a Nissan Frontier (again not a comparable vehicle). A week later they found a RAM 1500 classic (still not a comparable vehicle).Three and a half weeks later 5/10/2021 I have not been able to get ahold of anyone in the service department, even though they had originally been texting me but then stopped responding. I drove to the dealership in hopes to speak with someone about it. Upon my arrival my truck was not being worked on. I finally found the service manager Monte Heim, (the phone number on his business card by the way took me straight to voicemail every time during this process over the past three months). Spoke with Monte face to face and he couldnt give me any answers as to what was going on with my truck, or why it was throwing codes ONCE AGAIN. I tried to let him know that I have been trying to get ahold of him by leaving voicemails to him, their rental department and another service department employee, his exact response was do you want to take it somewhere else. It was like he was telling me to just take the truck out of his shop and let someone else deal with it. So that is what I did. I brought the truck home and have already made an appointment with another dealer ship.I am making this review out of hopes it will help people know not to take their business there. 0/5 star recommendation if possible. I HIGHLY do not recommend this place.

Took my car in Tuesday. Not a very trustworthy place. Received text messages completely different than face to face. Not sure if anything was really done.
Took my Jeep Compass there as its time for maintenance. Per my maintenance schedule I need my Power transfer Unit Fluid and Rear Drive Assembly Fluid replaced. Recommended at 60,000 miles. I am at 79,000. They told me this is sealed and never needs to be replaced. Got a price on spark plugs. $355. Nope. My local mechanic will do it for $200. Asked 3 times about pricing for shocks/struts and even wrote it on the overnight envelope but still did not get a price. So since my car was there I went ahead and got an oil change. That is ALL I had them do. I got in my vehicle and when I started it, I still get the message that I need to change my oil. Really! This should have been reset. Icing on the cake, I look over and half of my glovebox contents are in the floorboard. Why were you in my glovebox to change my oil? I feel violated.. Never again.
In the last 25 years, I have bought four vehicles here, three of them when it was Bales. Have always had the best of experiences here. Of course they want to lowball on trade ins, but thats going to happen anywhere. Highly recommend!
Came in to have GPS updated and the ac plug on back of console. They had my car and made me and my wife wait for 41/2 hours when all they did was fix a console problem and tell me I had a small radiator leak and intake leak. Not even what I asked for. But their employees stand around on their phones running up a bill and finding more things to charge you for. This place is a rip off! A big CON! Go to Corydon. They know what they are doing. Lazy thrives.
When I bought my van it wasnt even a week when I started having problems, so I took it in and the warranty covered it and so I thought everything was fixed. Well I kept having electrical issues with it and had it in multiple times to be worked on. Now a little over a year into owning it and Im still experiencing issues. I was under the impression it was still under warranty and the last time I took it in was informed it wasnt and then was told they know whats wrong with it but I would have to pay for it. Well they told us they werent going to pay for the rental and they would go in half with me to fix it and we were told to come get it. So we pick it up and the guy who took it apart to see what was wrong with it had to be sent home because he was sick and had to be checked for possible covid-19. They didnt put my vehicle back together because we were driving home in the dark, so we couldnt see anything, so when we took off from being stopped my radio fell out. When we pulled up to the dealership to pick it up I seen the glovebox sitting on the dash and the guy said we have to put it back in . Well the next morning I had a Dr. Appointment and I got in and looked in the rearview mirror to back up and I seen there were no panels on the inside, so I got out opened the hatch and there they all laid. My husband called them and we had to take it back the next day to have it put back together and I had to be checked for covid-19 because they didnt clean my car and I have lupus and a rare blood disease and the guy that was sent home sick had been in my car with his hands all over it. Well I called the chrysler hotline and they opened up a file on it, then I received a call from Monty saying they were going to pay for it to be fixed that we wouldnt be held responsible for the repairs because weve been taking it in since we 1st bought it over the same issues. So they fixed it which I was thankful for but my problem is Im still having electrical issues and now I have no warranty. I feel like they lied to appease us just til the warranty ran out so we would have to pay and not the warranty and they wouldnt return our calls and we left tons of messages for someone to call and we wouldnt hear anything for weeks or months. Im sorry this is no way to treat customers and no way to run a business. I want to thank the chrysler hotline for getting ahold of Monty and Monty calling us to get some of what was wrong fixed. As for the rest its still messed up and Im not happy with how weve been treated. If they want 5 stars and people to write positive comments about their business and give them better ratings I suggest they start inside the company and retrain their employees. I grew up in a time when customer service was a companies 1st priority and was top notch because your word is your bond, but this company has forgotten that. We buy your cars and pay you your salaries and in return we get lied to, disrespected and made to feel like we dont matter because you already got our money and you got your paycheck so you dont care anymore and thats not okay.!
This was my second experience with Service Department. Was told estimate of 2 hrs to change headlight and perform a oil change. Vehicle was finished in that 2 hrs. Great Job Service Department.
I cannot speak for the sales dept.. The Service Department on the other hand should sale cars! They were so friendly. I think we will purchase our next vehicle @ Bachman. Great people to deal with!
My Jeep was brought in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. Due to not being able to schedule for routine maintenance, I had been estimated 1.5 hours for the service. I accepted that. 4 hours later I was contacted to pick up my car. 4 hours for an oil change is unacceptable, no matter the circumstances. This is becoming representative of Bachman service. I had a very similar experience at Bachman Volkswagen for my Passat. Pitiful.
My wife,our daughter, and myself were traveling through the Louisville area when we developed and engine issue with our car. We were 200 miles from home .We were towed to Bachmans atapproximately 1 p.m. Despite the heavy work load the technicians were able to get us on the road by 6:00 p.m. Jeffery Owen and the crew were understanding and exceptional to work with. Jeffrey helped us move our luggage to the lounge thinking we would be picked up by a family member later in the day. Jeffrey informed us our car would be repaired and we would be on the road before closing so we canceled our ride home . As we were preparing to depart the facility and I was concluding business with Jeffery a young lady also working in the garage area realized we had our hands full . My wife is blind and we had several pieces of luggage . The young lady quickly volunteered to help, pulled our vehicle near the door, helped with our bags, wished us well and we back on the road.We cant thank your crew enough for the help and exceptional treatment. This was a great place to buy a car. Sales staff was very friendly, helpful and efficient. They didn’t have the car I wanted on the lot, but got it for me within a week. The finance manager got me the best deal possible and was very helpful explaining warranties.

Brought my 2016 town & country in for transmission issue. Greeted by Joe ( maintenance customer rep). Polite & friendly.Joe contacted me later that day with diagnosis & made sure it was covered by warranty. Picked up my van 3 working days later. It runs like new& i saved a lot of time & money. Great service by Joe & the tech who worked on my van. Bachman will be my first stop when looking for another vehicle.

I go here for service on my Hyundai. All Ive had done so far is warranty work, so I dont know how much they normally charge if youre out of warranty, but theyve always been fair and easy to work with. They also gave me a fantastic deal on my Hyundai a few years ago.

Great buying experience. Everyone involved in the process was professional and first rate.My first call was handled by Sasha who was very courteous and helpful. She was able to put me in contact with sales and Steve Clubb. Steve took over the process and we stayed in contact with Steve making sure all of my questions were addressed and letting me know that he and Bachman wanted me as a customer and that they would do whatever they could to earn my business. Steve and I threw around some numbers over the phone and we got close enough to what I had in mind that I decided I needed to pay the dealership a visit.After a minimal amount of time talking prices, Steve took my offer to Sales Manager, Jason, and we had a deal. Sonny wrapped up a few of the financial details and I should have a great truck in about 10 weeks.If you’re in the market for a new/used car don’t sell yourself short. Give Bachman a shot. They’ll treat you right and they will probably beat any price in the area. In my case, Steve and Jason came close to beating the price of a dealer in Boise, Idaho who claims to have the best prices in the country.Well done!
I am so very happy we visited the dealership today we were just looking but I knew I wanted my baby girl to have a Orange Rubicon but Artie Pollard one of the Salesmen came out and was a huge help he showed my daughter an Orange Renegade which she loved and the price was right. Thanks Artie you made us feel like family and made my daughters first car buying experience one she’ll never forget, you guided her through the workings of the vehicle as a salesman should but you also talked to her as you would your own child about being a responsible driver and not touching your phone while driving. Bachman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram I do not recommend using this company. Within 2 days of purchasing a Jeep, after a rain, it leaked. We did not get to take the top off, enjoy it, and had to clean it up. After finally having a salesperson call back, we were told that the 30 day warranty did not cover it and it was not their problem. The manager refuses to contact us. This was after a horrible experience just trying to purchase it. Bachman Jeep does not stand behind their vehicles not their customers. Not 2 days after

Take my car in for service and every time its the same story. No one ever calls to tell you the status of your repair or if your car is finished. You call and leave messages for your service advisor (because they never answer) and they still wont call you back. Same old story, different service visit. Moving on.
I would had given them 5 stars but it took a very long time with the paperwork. They had a guy from Kentucky site new and the Indiana paperwork was different. Other than that it was a great car buying experience
Our brand new Dodge Ram has been in the service department for over 7 weeks. We were told all the 2020 Rams (truck of the year) that the fuel pumps are bad. After numerous phone calls and no help at all we finally are here now to pick our truck up and the Service Manager said he forgot to call us and that the truck isn’t ready. We will never ever be back here or buy another Dodge Ram 2500 ever ! Poor customer service by Chrysler. Also my husband took a vacation day and drove back here from MO for our day to be wasted in the parking lot.
We want to thank Artie for making our car buying experience so easy. Big purchases are difficult for me because I have a hard time making decisions when I feel pressured. Artie listened to what we wanted and showed us what was available. He gave us plenty of time to look at the options and discuss things by ourselves so that we wouldn’t feel pressured. We stopped at Bachman’s to look at a Jeep on Saturday. Scott Harper, a salesman, came out to us and assisted us through the whole process. He was friendly, and we loved working with him. We were there for a while dealing with the insurance company, but he brought us some water bottles and helped us as much as he could. The finance manager, Josh Brewer, did a good job with the loans and the banking stuff. He walked us through all of the papers we were signing. I would definitely recommend looking here for your vehicle. We love our new Jeep!

POOR Buying Experience! Came later in day ready to buy. Didnt get the deal done because I has specific terms I was looking for and it was taking a while. Was advised I could go home and make dinner and they would call, that call never came. Called back the next day and got a return call. Close but no what I was looking for. Stated they were going to run it through Fort Knox and see if they could get closer to what I wanted. So 2 BANKS would have run credit. 2 days go by with no return call or text back from my sales rep Ryan. I called for a Sales Manager. Promised a return call in 30 min. 4 hours later I call back and was told Sales Manager was on lunch. I decided to take my business elsewhere. Later that evening Ryan finally gets back to me saying it was all approved. In the mean time Dodge on Dixie gets my deal done at a much lower interest rate and down payment through Chrysler. Informs me that Bachman sent my info to 14 banks without my permission or anything signed authorizing. I call to find out why and Sunny the Sales manager says I signed something approving that to be done. I requested a copy of this form I signed. The next day he emails me a generic statement authorizing to release my employment info and credit file to banks. It says nothing about authorizing credit pulls. When I emailed him back asking for clarification on where it shows authorization to pull my credit he never emails me back. Days later a Business Manager calls me and after a 15 minute phone call agrees that Bachman failed me on multiple fronts and asked what could be done to resolve it. I asked to have the illegal pulls to be removed as they are harming my wifes and my credit score. He stated he wasnt sure they could legally do that (although they can illegally run it) and to give him a day or two to get back to me to see what could be done to resolve this. Over a week later I have never heard from them. This dealership fails on multiple levels and I am currently filing complaints with all involved entities and discussing legal remedies for the violations. Please consider taking your business else where and sharing this review with anyone considering vehicle shopping here. Integrity and customer service are not the core of this businesses foundation.
No pressure and understanding of my needs and wishes. Made it easy and comfortable to make such an important financial purchase. I highly recommend Scott and would buy another car from him.

Emmett Exum is great at what he does. Very helpful and respectful. Bought a 2015 Mustang GT and he helped me get a new battery for it and a spare key. i would give them 6/5 stars if i could.
Adrian Maddox is highly recommended. He helped pick out the perfect Jeep for me that I absolutly love! He made it such a quick and easy process and hes a great person all around! I appreciate all your hard work!
From the time we got there Dave was on top of all questions and very helpful. Needed directions on what was in the area and he let us know where some of the places to eat while we waited. Offered the van to take us some place. Told us it would take 2-2.5 hrs and it wasright on. Showed us how to reset something on the truck. He is a great service person.We have lived in Taylorsville for 2 years now and had been to 2 dealers. One of which was the place we bought the truck. The other only takes us 20 minutes to get to. That one we didn’t like the person we had to deal with. He wasn’t helpful when we needed something. Also had to leave the truck over night and ask for a loaner and he couldn’t give us one. This is our only vehicle.Any future things will go back to Bachman Ram.
I want to give a HUGE shout out to John Hill in the service department. This awesome man was very professional. I brought my Jeep Renegade in for tire issues, the problem was identified and recommendations were made. Not pushy or intimidating, just the facts and suggestions, new tires purchased. Then I had to have my GPS updated, I bought the updated drive, took my Jeep in to the service department. Problems occurred with my radio/computer updating.....John came into the waiting room three times to check on me! The problem has been resolved! I couldnt be happier with John and will continue to call or text him with any questions or issues, he is very prompt with answering all messages. Thank you, John Hill, so very much!!!!

Chargers first scheduled service. They were very busy, still got it in, oil changed, tires rotated, back on the road sooner than quoted time. Really pleased with the service.
Bought a 2013 Dodge Ram from here. Very satisfied with the vehicle and the experience. Low pressure sales, no smoke and mirrors. I looked at a lot of trucks at several dealers before finding this one and these guys were the best to deal with by far.They worked with my out of state credit union so that I could leave with my truck the same day. Would not hesitate to buy from them again.
Very impressed with Bachman Chevrolet, and especially Steve Clubb. My son was looking for a JEEP Wrangler and I was helping him. From the time he contacted Steve regarding the vehicle until we could get there for a test drive they had noticed it was leaking fluids. They looked into it and fixed it, along with a few other items they found along the way. We were then able to take it to get inspected before we finalize the purchase. Steve did a great job in getting everything arranged and keeping us informed. Highly recommend this dealership!
Working with Steven Clubb was a great experience. He was really honest and straightforward trough the entire process. I love cars but dread going to the dealership because most of my experience has been dealing with pushy, rude, people that all they want is to “close the deal” at any cost.Steven was really cordial, matter of fact and he genuinely care about our experience. I wish I had know of him years ago.
LEFT MY TRUCK ON 7/27/20 FOR 2 RECALLS AND 1 BODY REPAIR, CALLED SEVERAL TIMES TO CHECK ON PROGRESS, NEVER COULD GET ANYONE ON PHONE, LEFT SEVERAL MESSAGES AND NEVER RECEIVED A SINGLE RETURN CALL, WENT TO DEALER ON 8/5/20 AND PICKED UP TRUCK, NOTHING HAD BEEN DONE, HAD MARKED HOOD BEFORE LEAVING TRUCK AT DEALER, HOOD HAD NEVER BEEN OPENED, TOOK PICTURE OF ODOMETER AS I LEFT TRUCK FOR REPAIR, TRUCK HAD BEEN DRIVEN OVER 60 MILES, ALSO FOUND SOMEONE DUG THROUGH MY CONSOLE, WILL NEVER RETURN. Michael Brown the service consultant was extremely courteous extremely helpful extremely accurate with everything he said and make me feel at home.I didnt catch the young gentlemans name that I actually repaired my tailgate.I asked him a question he actually come out to my truck and physically showed me how to properly get in and out of the truck with a button.I highly recommend you all to anyone which is what I will be doing thank you.

Colleen helped us from beginning to end of our car buying experience. We showed up and she came out and made it clear she wouldn’t hover and just gave us her card and told us she’d be inside if we had any questions. We looked around and found what we wanted. We didn’t buy our vehicle here but the place we did buy it sent us here when our truck was giving us problems. It was a great experience dealing with joe. He went above and beyond for us.

The work was performed in a timely manner and done well. All of the staff were courteous, helpful and easy to deal with. They also provide a shuttle service to get you where you need to go, and bring you back when the work is done. That is a huge help if your vehicle needs to be left for the day.
