Set up an appointment with Bachman Hyundai for a bad light switch on the steering wheel. Vick took excellent care of my car and ensured it was installed and worked correctly. When the time comes to replace this car, Bachman will get my business!! Thank you to the service department and Vick!!
Service department is a joke! Left 10+ messages 0 return phone calls back. 0 updates on the work being done. Even left a message for some guy Randy Hutchinson? Supposedly he’s is the head guy. No phone call back from him either. The whole company obviously has zero customer service skills.
This is the first time I have had an unbelievably positive experience with a car dealers service department. When I first called, I scheduled my appointment with George who was polite and kind. Then I received a text that I would be working with Vic Perry which also included his direct phone number. He could not have done a better job with communicating and clarifying the needs of the situation and resolving my issues with our Hyundai Sonata Sport engine. Thank you for making this visit a pleasant and stress-free experience.

He was super knowledgeable about the vehicles features and helped me set up some of the features before I drove off the lot. Highly recommend.
There is a lack of communication! I had to call several time to find out information about my car. I left multiple messages both in the form of a voice mail and text. I finally had to have someone else that didnt work in the service department check on my car. I originally bought the car from Bales before Bachman bought them out. I have had oil changes, ac work, and so on all done at this location. I stopped going to Bachman about a year ago and started driving to the Hyundai dealership on Dixie Highway. I stopped going to Bachman because of poor customer service. I had an issue with my car and the Dixie location could not get me in right away so I tried Bachman again. I should have waited! If a problem is covered under warranty, why am I being charged a diagnostics fee?
Needs Improvement. I dropped off my vehicle for an oil change and tire rotation, but had to wait too long to be acknowledged let alone helped. I used the shuttle service to return home to work, and scheduled my pick up time. The pick up shuttle never arrived. I ended up walking to the dealership to get my car and nearly missed another appointment I had scheduled.
Worst customer service experience ever. They had my car for almost a month for the same issue and kept trying to charge me over and over for different maintenance repairs. Jeff and the Service manager are the most unprofessional people I have come across with. If youre considering buying a car from them or getting any repairs.. DONT .
Terrible service and terrible communication. I had to call multiple times, hours after dropping my car off, just to get a text back telling me that my car required a new part and would not be able to drive until the part was delivered. So 4 days without a car… okay.On that Tuesday, I waited for a call and nothing, I then called and left numerous messages and texts with the service advisor (Jeff) and manager (Monty), just to get a text back at the end of the day saying they are still waiting for the part.2 days later and still no communication, no call back, and no car. Having to rearrange my schedule multiple times and depend on people for rides. You should definitely take your car somewhere else if you value your time at all.(Ps. When I asked about a rental or loaner car, I received a text that I can rent it myself through enterprise...for a mistake made by the manufacturers )
Great service!There were a few snags in the process but Jeff (the manager) made sure to rectify any issues I had. He was accommodating and that makes it worth it. I would definitely recommend this place just on the service and caring aspect alone!
First time customer with my new Palisade! Answered all my questions I had as a new owner on maintenance. Car was clean when it was returned as some places leave it a mess! Very happy I tried Bachman Hyundai out.
I have to comment on Hyundai vehicles on how safe they are and very reliable cars. I have owned three Hyundai cars and my son was involved in two very bad accidents the first one he was hit right in the drivers door by a truck that had ran a stop sign and wasnt even hurt. The second accident he fell asleep while he was driving and crossed the median of a four lane enterstate highway and hit a truck going the Other direction and was very very seriously injured but safety equipment in the car saved his life. I am loyal to products that are well made and safe i will be a Hyundai customer for a long time unless something changes my opinion.
Four Service reps were there but only one person was taking care of customers. The other 3 was messing around on their computers. .The service rep did an outstanding job getting me taken care of and deserves a 5+

A Serious Change of Mind.Two years ago, I wrote a glowing review about Bachman Hyundai. I was happy with the service and way they took care of their customers. I was impressed by the way Bachman took over and continued the service I had always gotten when they were still Bales Auto Mall. Things have changed since that time.I took my vehicle in on Monday, (02-20-21) for a required mileage maintenance trip, plus have them look at a possible oil leak that was pointed out to me before the pandemic shut down most businesses. I waited as I usually do, looking around the showroom, contemplating what I may want for a new vehicle. Ive been a Hyundai owner for 20 years, and Bales/Bachman has always been my dealer of choice and recommendation. As I figured, the repairs were going to take some time, and cost quite a bit. I was informed as to the extent and cost of the repairs, and advised that it would be best if I got a ride home and they would notify/text me when my vehicle was ready.I never expected to hear from them that day, considering the amount of work that needed to be competed. I gave them a couple of days of repair time, considering the possible workload for others and time needed for repairs on my vehicle. On Wednesday, after not hearing about my vehicle, I called to see the status of my vehicle. As I still had the numbers from Bales in my phone, I was transferred to another party. From them, I was transferred to another person. From them, I was finally transferred to Service. She took my call and directed me to another number, where I left my name and phone number. Being a 3rd shift worker, I figured I would be asleep before getting a call back. When I got up that evening to get ready for work, I found that I didnt get any call back.The next morning, after work and daily routines, (about 0940 hours,) I settled in and went to the website to get the proper numbers and I also left a message with their online text message system. The auto reply stated they had my number and would message me shortly. That message never came. A few hours later, I decided to call and find out the status of my vehicle. With the correct numbers, (which were all the same, for Sales, Service, and Body Shop,) I called and went through the usual voice tree for Service. I was greeted the same lady that that connected me with the voice mail the previous day. When I asked about my vehicle, I was asked who my service advisor was. I was looking for that information in my email, when she abruptly stated, Ill just connect you to someone. Once again, another person, another voice mail.I found the name of the service advisor that was said to be handling my vehicle, and called back. Again, the same lady that I had reached before, and I gave her my information and the service advisors information. Once again, she transferred my call, but before I could be transferred, I could hear the disgust in her voice at my calling, and a statement of What does he think... Transferred once more to another voice mail, but with a great deal of attitude.This time, with my ire up, but still remaining in some control, I called back again, but decided to speak with the operator. When she asked how to handle my call, I informed her of my multiple attempts to find the status of my vehicle that has been in the shop since Monday. She took my information, and stated that someone would contact me shortly. And once again, no call back. As of now, I am in limbo about the status of my vehicle, and wondering if it even exist.Im sure that typing this revised review will be nothing more than just a way to vent and bring me some sort of calm. I did however submit a letter to the Hyundai USA site as well, and hope that they find my experience just and interesting as I have found it to be. I hope they also find it interesting why a 20 year loyal customer may consider another vehicle company at this time. What a difference a pandemic makes when it comes to service and customer loyalty, right?
Ok....so everyone knows buying a car can be a grueling process. Well not for me, not this time! I was lucky enough to come across Ben Hughes at the Bachman Auto Group in Jeffersonville, Indiana and my experience was far from grueling. Ben made me feel right at home from the moment I stepped onto the lot. He went above and beyond to get me into the vehicle I had my heart set on. Best customer service ever! My finance experience was exactly the same Walter Chastain was incredibly thorough and extremely pleasant. He made sure I understood every detail of my loan. I cannot say enough about my experience you have to experience for yourselves. Please go check these guys out if you are looking for a great deal with great hospitality ...go there!!
Make sure you ask questions and fact check the answers given they are predators. The technicians are great. The front desk staff are inconsistent with there customer service, and some are just rude.
Ive gotten a lot of snide sarcasm here and their system seems to always be down. Ive never had that problem at the Hyundai dealership in Columbus. Wont come to this dealer again

This is my first ever review posted. I simply do not do these things, but my experience at Bachman was so horrible that I must say something. Several things were wrong about my visit. 1. They were hours off the window of time they gave me when I scheduled the appointment. 2. They did not even do what I requested to the vehicle completely (no new wiper blades) 3. They did things to the vehicle that I did not request. They ran diagnostics to the vehicle I did not request and they tried to both make me pay for it. 4. They had no communication with me about what the vehicle required. I had to communicate with them about what the next step was etc. I will not be returning to service my Hyundai here.
The service team for my Hyundai have gone out of their way with helping me and my situation. Everyone is so pleasant to talk to and I just really appreciate the service theyve shown me as a new customer.
Took two weeks to get a appt. Took one day to find the problem. Said would have it fixed in the days at the longest.Had my car for 11 days. Didnt fix the problem, and didnt bother calling me, to tell me they werent going to fix it as promised.SeemsJohn wants to play bossman, but doesnt want to talk to people when he runs into a problem. He instead, has a girl Cheyenne who says she rents cars and is helping out, handle the call backs.Messages from the phone answerer (he calls himself) doesnt relay messages according to Cheyenne, saying no one told her anything.John who had her make the calls doesnt give her any info on what shes reporting on, other than not done, she states. She doesnt care enough to have the facts and be able to tell you why.Honestly dont know whats happened to customer service anymore. Everyone wants top dollar for working, but no one wishes to work. Owners need to go through and revamp especially if its part of a conglomerate, such as this. As this place wouldve cost them business, if I wasnt already aware, that these places in Louisville, are much better with customer service and customer appreciation. Honoring word or letting you know why not, if cant, before you call them, for answers.Its a cat and mouse game. Leaving me with the impression that everyone is getting their vehicles fixed now, due to covid and being stuck at home. (Along with other things, of course.) Therefore they tell you what its going to cost, and when its going to be done. Then if something else comes along especially, or a regular customer, they move them to the front of the line. Without bothering to call you, and tell you anything.After calling four days from the day it was promised to be ready, plus giving them a extra 24 hours, the following week, I never got a call back.Upon showing up John said, they couldnt get the parts in. Didnt feel the need to call I guess. Its only my ride theyve had for two weeks.Funny thing is, after I left there, I was so aggravated that I called auto zone, Pep boys, and ORiley who ALL had the parts, and who ALL are right down the street. Cost them $750 total as once I subtracted from what they were going to charge me, the price of the actual items, that is how much they wouldve made for less than a hour job. Even less time for them because they specialize in it, and I didnt. Then $600 on another job that it wasnt even there for, but of which, they said it needed. Everyone else didnt agree with that diagnosis.In the end it was something completely different that their machine didnt even notice lol.They are a rip off company that is picking and choosing which jobs they want to do.Proven by them, and saying they couldnt get the parts.Fnding the parts afterwards, at three different places right down the street.Cheyenne needs to learn to care and get info before making calls, if shes going to play parts tech or parts rep.John needs to delegate instead of trying to do everything, when proven he cant even do the easiest part.Customers are most important. Without them you arent in business. Say that everyday to yourselves. Without customers I have no job!!Anyway you are going to lose your customers as all one has to do is go to Louisville. Much better service and they APPRECIATE their customers. All they need to do is be able to take customers home immediately upon arrival and theyll take your business.Wouldnt advise going here and wouldnt of given even given one star, but you have to. I dont like to be played or taken advantage of. Not a very organized place to say the least.

To be fair, I was warned NOT to go here for anything. However, given it was under new ownership I took the chance. Sadly, new ownership retained incompetent staff.Brought a vehicle in for service and the experience couldn’t have been worse. We brought the vehicle in the first time and the issue was “diagnosed”, made the repair and stated that must not be the problem. However they did not posses the part to fix it. We were informed we would be called upon arrival. After waiting several days we reached out and were informed the part had arrived several days ago, no one decided to let us know. Upon the second service appointment they changed the brake light harness, and other parts, only to inform us that it still wasn’t repaired. In order to repair the vehicle, they wanted us to replace the smart junction box which would cost about $1,500 dollars. Every time we came back we always needed a “different part”. I decided to get out while I could and took the vehicle to another Hyundai dealership. They informed us the smart junction box was NOT the issue and the repair was a $15 dollar part. They also noted they had repaired the brake light harness installed by Bachman as the pins were mangled upon installation and it was not properly functioning. Dishonest, and clueless pretty much sums up Bachman Hyundai.

Called twice to inquire about getting new keys/fob re-coded. Both times was directed to a two different employees voicemail. Neither of them could be bothered to call me back. Second time I specifically said I called previously and voicemail not returned and was just directed right back into a voicemail box. Poor service.
I bought a as is vehicle from Bachman Hyundai store and the very next day the car broke down on me and in 3 weeks its been to 2 shops only to be deemed unsafe to be driven and that I was screwed really bad. I handed $4k for a car that was supposed to last a couple years......... I bought the car because Bachman assured me it was a good car. This is my 3rd car Ive bought from them and they sell me a time bomb and laugh about it. I will no longer be giving my business to them for any other future purchases. Im probably going to Pursue in court for how bad business was conducted.
Completely new review as of 10/2/2020. I bought a pre owned car through these guys, there was a piece of styrofoam that hid the hole in the grill. I found it afterwards and saw it was that way in pictures from when I was first looking at it. I brought it to their attention and I got the run around for a little bit. I emailed Scott the sales man directly. It took some time from there, about a full month went by. Finally Scott got back to me and said it was available. Came in this morning and they fixed it for me. 4 star because of time it took to resolve issue but extremely grateful that it did finally get taken care of.
They I treat me with respect and do the service in a timely matter. During this time of the pandemic I felt safe waiting for my car and when I got my car everything was covered in plastic.
Always Satisfying ServiceI have been with this particular Hyundai dealership for many years. When I first started, they were then know as Bales. I received nothing but quality service over the years that had been a customer with them. I will not lie, and say that I was wondering if the service department would change under the new ownership of Bachman. I scheduled my vehicle for regular servicing, and was pleased to see the same, familiar people Ive known from when the it was Bales. Even more, I was pleased to find out that their service department is still the high quality, extremely helpful, service department it has always been.I have always recommended Bales Hyundai to my friends for new cars and quality service for Hyundai vehicles. I will still recommend Bachman Hyundai to my friends as well. While the name ownership may have changed, I have to say that the Hyundai service Ive come to appreciate and expect has not changed. And for that, I am very thankful
I don’t understand all the good reviews. My car was serviced to the tune of $2400 but the hub repair was completely botched. Driving away from Bachman’s the wheel was making noises. I took it back twice but they told me that there wasn’t a problem in spite of a cyclical grinding noise in the wheel when braking. They were completely disingenuous. I finally had to pay $475 to someone else to get it re-fixed (the part they pulled off had gouges in it). I don’t understand why Bachman would throw away a good customer or risk my safety with such disregard. Instead, each time I went back, they tried to upsell me on other services and products. I could go on and on and on as there are many more details but you get the point.Here I’m editing months later and want to point this out: if you scan all the reviews you’ll notice five stars and one star reviews. It’s strange that there’s no 2, 3 or 4 star reviews. Do they have certain customers which they write off (that’s the one stars) but there’s no middle ground. No meh, no a little bad or kind of terrible! I don’t believe that this is statistically possible. Be suspicious of all the five star reviews.And again, many months later. Notice the response from the dealership: The person named is the very person who WAS THE PROBLEM and now he’s thanking me for bringing it to his attention!?!
Hats off to the service department at Bachman Hyundai, to Adrian Maddox our salesman for standing behind their warranty. We bought a 2013 Toyota Prius from Adrian that came with a 30 day 1000 mile full parts & labor warranty. Turns out our car had a intake manifold gasket issue that apparently is a known defect on 3rd Gen Prius - an engine light 2 weeks after buying & 700 miles in, they sent the car to Jeff Wyler Toyota for confirmation & repair. All repairs were taken care of and the car is back to running properly. Thats customer service with a smile. We will be back!

I was driving through from IL to SC and my 2019 Tucson started leaking water all over my passenger floor board soaking two towels. I couldnt let this continue so I found the nearest Hyundai dealer which was Bachman Hyundai. They got my car in and drained the air conditioner hose which was clogged. Shop Vac my carpet to get some of the water out Im a little over an hour. Mark, his second day of work, took great care of us. I would recommend this dealership. Thank you very much Mark in service.

We went to Bachman Hyundai to have a recall issue resolved well not only did we get the recall issue resolved they found a couple more issues that needed attention and fixed them free of charge at least free for us, anyway it took approximately 1 hour and instead of sitting in the waiting room, they drove us to a restaurant of our choice..The staff here is A True Class ACT, Thanks Bachman and keep up the excellent customer service!!

I wanted to write a nice review of this place because everyone was friendly, they called when they said they would, and the price they quoted seemed fair, but...When I went to pick up my car, the $360 dollar phone quote was not $450 dollars. I asked what had changed, did they find something wrong, did it take longer than they anticipated?The young lady assisting me said that the part was $190ish dollars. I stopped her right there and said that wasnt correct. They had quoted me $150 for the part which I knew was correct because I had self-diagnosed the day before and found the OEM part online. She called someone and asked them to check the price, then changed it to match what I was originally quoted.At this point, I knew they were squeezing me but with only a phone quote I had no ground to stand on. When they asked me to pay the $396 they had adjusted the total to it popped up on the processor as $369. I said Oh it says $369, thats closer to what I was quoted. She immediately canceled the transaction and said she had entered it wrong.In the end I paid $30 more than I was quoted and it seems to have fixed my car (air bag light was on and cruise control was broken), but I learned that dealers are still the shadiest places to have your car repaired.Support your local mechanic and get your quotes in written form.

This is quite old and im sure so many things have changed since then but i bought a 2005 hyundai sonata which at my time was 2006 for 12.5. was priced at 13,999 and the dealer and i mustve been thinking the same thing cause 12.5 is what i was going to offer. he beat me to it. with only 500 down and first time buyers rate interest was only 4.9%. ended up getting 8 great quality years out of that with very little maintenance before trading it in for 1500. Go check this place out

Review has been updated. See below.Terrible service after the sale. Were having an engine knock problem with our 2012 Accent which is still under warranty. If you google it, it is a known common problem with this car.We took it in to be fixed. We mentioned that we saw a TSB on the internet that said the ECU needed to be reprogrammed.The tech said that there is no such fix and that our problem was that the oil was low.I have a printed out copy of the TSB 15-FL-003 which describes the EXACT problem we are having and the solution.To rub salt in the wound, they charged us $50 for supposedly topping off the oil because thats considered maintenance and not covered under warranty.So, if the problem was low oil, then why are we still hearing the engine knock?Yall will do anything to not honor a warranty, wont you?This rating would be zero stars but that was not an option.****Updating this review. Changed it to five stars.After contacting Mark via email to voice my concerns over how we were treated when we brought the car in, he got Paul, the Service Manager, in on the discussion.Today Paul did the ECU update per the TSB 15-FL-003. He was very polite and apologetic about how we were treated before.He hooked his tablet up to the ECU and the whole update took about 10 minutes.Our drive home from the dealership is about and hour and I did not hear the spark knock.So, Im hoping that means that our issue is resolved.They are also refunding what we paid when we brought the car in and they told us it was over 2 quarts low on oil. That just simply wasnt true and was not the cause of our problem.This is how you take care of a customer.

I drove past my local dealer because of ratings and was surprised. Parts salesman swore loudly at the key machine when it cut the key wrong. I had to pay up front for a key and fob which wouldn’t be delivered for a few days. I “paid for everything” and returned a few days later to find that I would have to make an appointment and pay another $40 to return a third time and have the fob programmed.
