Second Review;Pleasant gentleman arrived today and delivered all my products even offered to help set them up inside. I said Im alright but thanks and after signing some paperwork everything arrived in glistening shape. I need seven references not just the four the paper asked for just to find out none were called. I was told my PlayStation would be delivered between 12 and 2 but it didnt arrive till after 6. When it did arrive it wad not in a box he just carried it in like I barrowed it from next door. On top of that he didnt have all the wires that went with it . I had to go buy my own. He said he was rushed. I dont see how he was rushed when he arrived over 4 hours late.
Prices are reasonable friendly staff and always willing to help.
Spoke to the manager and the beginning of the call was very distasteful. His introduction to who he was initially being the manger was not clarified as i asked multiple times to speak with the manger so him just saying “my name is shawn” just came off as rude. I’ve worked in customer service for almost 10 plus years and his intro was unexceptble. Luckly I’m with acceptance now bc rent a center Joliet location will never get my business
If i could give negative Stars I would. As my wife stated before, we asked them to fix the problem where they resold the TV without factory resetting it. And I have another family using my YouTube account Ive asked them to fix the problem repeatedly and they ignore me. I spoke to the district manager today and still somebody is binge-watching on my YouTube account. This is a violation of several laws and yet they do nothing. This is the worst customer service experience Ive ever had in any field. Please for the love of God do not go to the store, and Rent-A-Center corporate if youre reading this, close down this store, I have had great experiences with other rent-a-centers and this one store has made a mockery; of all of those other stores efforts and of your company.
My husband and I have used rent a center while we were living in Michigan and it was amazing! So when we moved we decided to go to rent a center again but for a television and it was the worst choice we have made. Number 1 they said they would deliver my television between 12 and 2 it didn’t arrive till 5 and we were stuck waiting around because we called and said they would be there in an hour and then my husband called and was told they were running late. Number 2 one guy carried a 65 inch tv up my stairs and hit the television screen off my $500 China cabinet and never bothered to check if either one was broke, he then proceeded to just put the television down and leave. Number 3 I referred my mother in law here and they never told her she needed certain paperwork to bring in till her delivery day so she then had to wait another 2 days before having said thing delivered. Number 4 my husband and I have always paid a day before our payment was due I called to see if we could push one payment of to the next payment cause his check was short, the gentleman I spoke to was rude and very frustrated with me. He said it had to be paid before a week and it was going to be paid within 5 days. They worked out that we could pay double next week and they forgot to write the note on the account 3 times so my husband while at work kept receiving phone calls. Number 5 no matter how many times I tell my name and address it takes them at least 10 min to find my account. And finally number 6, we had an additional referral and we are suppose to get 1 free week because of that and they never gave it to us. So I am sending my television back because of all of this and rude customer service. They said they would be here to pick it between 11-1 and it’s now going on 2 and I have yet to see them or receive a telephone call. So save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.New update as of 06/18/2018We currently have discovered that the television we sent back was never factory reset! So we have the people who were renting our old television now using all of our accounts that were logged in to the tv! Beyond upset and will be contacting corporate to complain!New update of 06/25/2018I am currently going to be going into rent a center to complain in person that my YouTube account is still being used. I am extremely upset. Not only was our YouTube being used but also Netflix, Amazon and YouTube.New Update of 06/28/2018So they called me yesterday on the 27th telling me they fixed the problem at 6:30 pm! I am happy till my husband tells me at 9:15 last night the account was being used again... Rent A Center is a joke.
