Shopping at Slumberland was painless and easy. My saleswoman Naomi was friendly and informative. In their no pressure sales atmosphere I was able to browse until I was content and had made a decision. Any additional assistance was completely optional but definitely available. I got a good deal on a new lazy-boy recliner and it will be delivered in two weeks. I couldnt be happier with my experience.

When I walked in to buy a mattress and saw old friend Nate I knew I would give him a chance to sell me a mattress. He sold me a quality Sealy mattress for far less price then I can play at other places in town and it was a enjoyable experience! Just about to move so I was looking to buy a couch. After looking around online at some different sites and styles I pretty much knew what I wanted. My friend from work recommended this place to me from her wonderful experience. I went online and found exactly what I was looking for (and it was on sale!). When I walked in I wasnt bombarded by someone talking to me (which was perfect). After taking a look at a few pieces, Stephen asked if there was anything he could help me find. I had everything written down and even though they didnt have the complete set that I wanted on display, they did have the color and parts of the collection which was just fine. While I continued to browse the store I wasnt pestered every 5 minutes if I was ready or so on (which I very much appreciated). Once I was ready he helped get everything set up and made sure to explain everything and answer the questions I had. The whole process was easy and didnt take very long at all. It was a great first experience and I cant wait till I get my furniture!

My wife and I went to Slumberland looking for a recliner, the sales person who met us, promptly showed us to the section of the store we needed to be in, and then fell back to allow us to browse, it was refreshing that the sales person didn’t hound us, but stayed close enough for questions if needed.Slumberland had a HUGE selection of recliners to choose from, and at very reasonable prices.We made our selection, and painlessly worked out the details with our sales person.We were so happy with our experience that we ended up buying TWO recliners.

When going into the store with my son he met us with a smile, and he even remembered the chair we had talked about days before. He made us feel at home, and we knew we had come to the right place. Did not have.My paper Receipt of paid order prints to “see terms and conditions “ of what is covered on both the chair and the warranty I bought. We bought our new Tempurpedic bed today and had a great salesman help us. Chris was personable and helpful and made sure we got what we needed. We shopped around a bit and chose to go back to Slumberland because we appreciated his honest, professional approach. We needed new pillows as well and ended up with two great new places to lay our head! Well definitely shop at the Joplin location again.

For approx 8 years I have faithfully shopped and bought all my furniture at slumberland. I have dealt with Richard and Nick and they are awesome and have always been great with us, giving us the best deals they could. The furniture has always been well made and stood up great for us.

We searched on line and found the sectional we wanted but needed more information. Steven Smith at the Joplin location answered all of our questions and placed our order for us. Stevens customer service is fantastic! We look forward to receiving our sectional and will definitely be ordering all of our future furniture from Slumberland with Stevens help.

They have rather expensive furniture but also the reasonably priced furniture. salesmen were quite nice if overworked. My main complaint is that right now I am standing outside the back of their place waiting for my sofa. It is starting to rain and I cant get anyone to answer to the customer pick up the area doorbell.

We recently purchased several pieces of furniture from them, and they were wonderful to work with from start to finish. The management staff is willing to jump in and help in any way they can, and theyre so knowledgeable and enjoyable to work with. After looking through many other furniture stores in our area, we drove over an hour to shop at the Joplin Slumberland and ended up purchasing bedroom, office and living room furniture there. Were so happy with everything and will definitely return in the future! They have a large showroom of quality furniture to choose from, and you can customize the fabric on many items for the same price. I was very impressed with the quality and selection of the furniture.Also the sales person (CEBF) was helpful but not pushy. I appreciate that also.I can’t wait to get the dresser I ordered.

1st off, I walked into an empty store. Not a single employee in sight. Cash in hand to make a purchase on a bedroom set that we saw on special. Walked the entire store looking for the set and still never saw an employee.As we were walking out the door, finally an employee. We told him what we were looking for and he showed us the set. Then we asked about buying a mattress and box springs, he also couldnt find a salesman to help us. The delivery guy showed us around the mattresses, and we decided not buy 1 from Slumberland because there was no one to speak to.We left with the bedroom set that the delivery guy sold us and when we Got home, hardware was missing. I tried calling Slumberland about 4 times, each time a machine immediately picked up and apologised for no one coming to the phone, it said to leave a message and someone would call me back, the machine then hung up on me each time, couldnt leave a message and no one would answer.I took to Facebook to get a hold of Slumberland and posted a comment that I was trying to get a hold of them, they marked my comment on as Spam and I could not get anyone to answer on Facebook either.Avoid this place at all cost. Go somewhere else for your furniture needs. We will never step foot in there again.

Honestly at first I was disappointed. I had walked almost the Entire store before I was approached. Then an older gentleman in a motorized wheelchair helped me. Sorry don’t remember his name. He was great! Very helpful and personable! . At one point I think he thought he couldn’t help me. But I made it clear I was willing to pay for quality. He quickly started showing me options. After checking sizes and options he lead me to Nicholas Vaughan who finished the deal.Both men were very professional. Have worked in retail and customer service for 30+ years, I was happy to deal with these two men that have great customer service skills with smiles, eye contact, and great hand shakes with a thank you.I will return for more of my future purchases because of the service. My friend and I went here just to get some furniture ideas because we are both moving soon. One of the guys that works there, Steve, greeted us almost immediately which I felt was normal but the whole time we were there he just watched us. We were there for about an hour and we felt like we were being stalked by him so we left. Super creepy and I dont wanna go back there. Furniture was nice but the employee made us feel really uncomfortable. I felt like he was forcing his company onto us when we were very clearly not welcoming it and we were obviously uncomfortable because of it.

This place is the best furniture store in Joplin, hands down. The people here have always taken very good care of me. They recently acquired some new sales people and some of the ones that had been there for a long time were not present when I was last there. If I ever buy furniture it is always here. The great customer service and quality of their products is not exceeded by anyone in Joplin, MO. You should at least swing by to see what they have if you have never been here before.
