I have worked at AJM for over 2 years now. The local leadership team is always working hard moving forward with continuous improvement to make day to day operations better. I’ve witness a new leadership team at the corporate level move in, working tirelessly to push out company into a world class tier in performance, quality, and safety. One cannot find a company that offers better compensation in terms of benefits.

I’ve been with AJM 5 years. Strong, growing, family owned and operated company. Has to have one of the best, if not THE best, benefits packages in the Joplin market area. The company values hard work and determination. Plenty of opportunity for talented people to move up and increase their earnings. I have worked at AJM for 10 months. The first thing that caught my attention is that it is a family owned company that offers a great work environment. I was just out of high school with a basic education and a desire to do something in life. Hired as a general laborer and worked my way up over the years. Provided a good life for my family. It doesn’t happen overnight and made some sacrifices along the way. But I couldn’t be more thankful for opportunities given to me.

For starters dont beleive any broker that this facility shipping and receiving works weekends. You wil have to wait till MONDAY, #s on the fence will absolutetly not answer, workers on weekend only do production NO SHIPPING AND RECEVING.. YEAH AND RUDE AS WELL... THEY ACT LIKE THEY OWN THE PLACE AND YOU ARE TRESPASSING..

I am a current employee of AJM. Like all companies they change over time and AJM has shown such dedication to all employees by creating an environment year over year that has made it a great place to work. The people work as a team and as a family and truly care about one another. Our wages are competitive. Our benefit package is premier giving all employees and their families medical, dental and vision and health insurance does not charge us a premium which is such a benefit today. When it came to COVID - our corporate team did not miss a beat resulting in the best and safest protocol put into place to keep us working. I have worked for AJM for almost 25 years in various capacities. Best benefit package in the area, multiple opportunities for individuals to advance from within or coming in as a new hire. I have been an employee for 21 years . At first I thought that it was not for me, but thank god I have a great boss that encourage me to succeed. I haven’t regret it for one minute . The leadership is great they support you when u need it most . I know I can go to anyone with help with anything, it’s like having another family. One of the the other reasons I stayed was when everyone around was loosing their jobs in the early 2000s this company managed to keep us working. Sometimes is was cleaning machines make production whatever, but I was working. Ever since I knew that no matter what the economy is doing, I will still have a job to go to! Great benefits.Plenty of room for growth. Very helpful and friendly staff. The Covid19 process that is currently in place makes you feel safe, with temp stations, and hourly sanitizing throughout the plant.I would recommend you work for AJM.

I havent worked at AJM very long yet, but so far my experience here has been wonderful. The first thing that struck me is that AJM is taking the COVID pandemic very seriously, and has many measures in place to mitigate the spread of any viruses. Im a current employee and can say employment stability the best around. Especially since covid hit. When other places have been shutting down I have never had to worry about wether or not Ill lose a job any day like others have. Which is a comforting feeling.We have a diverse group of people working there and have met plenty of phenomenal people over my few years there.Insurance and the 401k is great as well. My personal favorite about our insurance is the online visits with a doctor. Prior to covid if one of my kids had a cold or anything I would just do the online visit and then pickup a prescription a few blocks from my house.

I cant say enough for the quality of service and kindness of the staff. I deliver to this location 2 to 3 times a week and am always greeted with a smile and a friendly welcome. My wait time to be loaded is never any longer than necessary and Im often taken care of before my appointment time. On several occasions the staff has shared a meal with me and my co-driver and lightened my day with good conversation.

Drop and hook, yard very small and congested. Nice people.

Ive pulled many loads out of Joplin in the last few years. Everyone of my drivers were impressed with how the Joplin Shipping and receiving team went out of their way to be kind. On some occasions they even broke bread together at lunch.Great company, great people!

5 STARS ISNT ENOUGH!!!! I come here pretty often.... (2-3 times a week). Never had a problem. I was even asked to have lunch with them a few times. Where else does that happen?

Weve been doing runs here for a few months now... American country charm, is the first thing that comes to mind when I deal with these people. If everyone was like them the world would be a better place.

Ive never had a bad experience here. Theyve always gone out of their way to be helpful and informative whenever I had any questions. I love this place and those who work there.

Well first off theres 2 separate locations 3400 and 3503 so double check both areas are paved and ok movement, but the 3503 is a cluster it shares 3 business loading unloading areas I checked in at 930 and in the road waiting for a call and dockSo I been here out in the road since 9;30 am for a 11:00 window and 12:30 now can I take two stars back kiss the family and HOS GOOD BYE so far AJM is more JAM because your jammed for the day

I worked here briefly and it was great. I was a forklift driver on 3rd shift and my supervisor was Brandon. Then unexpectedly my girlfriend was involved in an accident with a drunk driver. She was taken to the hospital and had to be placed in a medically induced coma, shortly after she passed. I tried to return to work and they said I couldn’t without any sympathy. I have contacted the BBB, my friend that works for the Joplin Globe will be making an article about what I went through. DO NOT WORK HERE!

If you are looking for work here. Dont bother. They lie about everything. In case you want to work six seven days a week. Eight plus hours a day. Then go work for them. I worked for them for four days, they did nothing but lie.

Got here at 9:30 am for a 10:00 am appt. They didnt start loading till 2:00 pm. Really trashed my Eld clock 3:30 pm still not loaded. Going on 6 plus hes here

I am a contractor with Ramona Logistics based out of michigan. We are at AJM Joplin 2-3 times per week. I have been trucking now for 20 years and I honestly have not met nicer folks than the ones I deal with at AJM packaging as a entirety . These folks that work here go above and beyond the meaning of good service!!!they go out of their way to make you feel Welcome such as doing their best to get you in a door and loaded. Offering suggestions to nearby restaurants. (and believe me theres a Big selection)They ALWAYS greet each and Every driver and Patron with a hello and a smile! in these days and time that Warm Welcome and Friendly Smile is just what we need! Dont believe the hype in these other comments as I arrived at my appointment time and I was there and out within the hour. Youll have to enter on Industrial and stop at the street park on Industrial and walk to check in back side of building. A long walk but thats how it works do not enter there is no parking in gravel of the drive. Nice people.

Really slow unload time if you can make sure you have a lot of clock when you get there.

Worst place ever to load, had a Medical situation requiring me to stay off my leg as much as possible, they made me wait 30-45 b4 getting into a door and then brought out the sign in sheet. This place had plenty of room to come into the yard turn around and walk 10 feet to shipping office. And if need be go back out to the street and wait to be called to a door, because walking in from the road to shipping was too far, and I guess they copped a big attitude about it. I would of gladly had them keep the load if I known they were such uncaring people, very sad, so very sad.Never again

Arrived 1/2 hr before appt. Was put in a door 15 mins later for a live load. 4 hours later, still not loaded, lady at desk inside could not say what they were waiting on or how much longer it would be. No bathroom for a driver to use.Would highly suggest not pulling AJM freight.

Here 3 hrs early than appt. Now over 1 hour waiting to get unloaded. And still not started. Ive done many Roll loads. This is THE slowest of all. Yes they have appts and stick to them. But they need more unloaders to unload so it dont delay anyone. It took shipper only 25 mins to load this load. But ti add rec agent was still nice.

Worst place to work. Never called me about getting the job until a week later had to go up there and ask about it. They lie and they said a racial thing to me in the orientation. They want Hispanics instead of americans. And none of the Hispanics dont do nothing. They wont rehire me for a different shift.
