I was on a cruise and the coffee on the cruise SUCKED so finding this place was pure NIRVANA for us. Great scones and great coffee!!
Been here a couple times now and the staff is always super nice. The pastry I got the first time and the tea the second were both tasty :)
When visiting Juneau during a cruise, Heritage is a must if you are a coffee lover.Grab a cup of joe before an excursion, after an excursion, or just while strolling down town. This is sure to be one of the best cups of coffee you have while you are in AK!
The food is pretty tasty. But the service here is not good. The food took 20 minutes to make and after waiting that long, the food that we did get was a wrong order. Then when we went to get the order corrected and told them that we were in a hurry, the manager there suggested to just refund my money. I dont want my money back, I just want the correct order that we had put in. She said that she cant promise to make it fast because she wasnt in charge of the kitchen. She didnt even apologize for their mistake. After we spoke to the guy in charge of the kitchen to fix the order, we got a different order but it was still wrong 🤦♀️😤 Ive worked in a Café before and I wouldve never handled an upset customer like that.
I went twice to this location on my recent visit to Juneau. Place is very clean, staff is friendly. I had the Baja Burrito, it was delicious and flavorful, I only wish they had hot sauce available😁
Warm, inviting, and spacious, with two delicious chai options (on a long menu) and a variety of milk substitutes.
Great coffee. Split a grilled cheese, crispy tons of cheese. Also ordered a breakfast burrito, very good. Was crowded, Saturday about 10AM. Plenty of seating and line moved fairly fast
Great coffee and friendly staff. I went there several times for coffee. They also are a restaurant and offer various dishes each day. Nice place and very clean!
Do NOT go here. I have never encountered such indifferent and surly staff. We walked in with 30 minutes to spare before a shuttle. We ordered very simple sandwiches (grilled cheese and avocado toast.) The place was mostly empty (as in, they didn’t have other orders to prepare.) After waiting 20 minutes, I asked the cashier if our order was almost ready. She lied and said it was being packed up at that moment. 5 minutes later, I asked again—still no food, and we needed to dash to our bus. Instead of apologizing in any way, the cashier yelled at me and gave me the finger!!! Yelling “we only have one cook!” After 30 mins waiting for sandwiches at an empty coffee shop! She now stated that our sandwiches would not be ready in time and snarkily gave us a refund. I have never encountered such rudeness. Please don’t patronize this awful place.
I had drink similar to a Frappuccino, and this one tasted great. Im sure I would enjoy other items, if I had more time there.
Great place. Staff is very nice and very helpful with suggestions to other places to see in Juneau.
Pretty good spot. Coffee was tasty, the to go sandwiches were good but the sitdown breakfast needed some love.
Some good food, some bad food. Service leaves room for improvement. It will take time to train people as they get back to work but today they weren’t that great today.Coffee drinks came out in time and tasted good. I just recommend they work on announcing orders more clearly. There was some confusion in pick up too. Taking customer names may help. It looks like they also had some numbers to give out to waiting orders but they used them inconsistently. It took half an hour to get our food and the staff was not very organized. They mixed up some orders. I recommend they spend more time quality checking there system and their waiting customers, giving them a clearer idea of how it’s going. The Baja burrito was mostly egg and sausage but tasted good. The potato breakfast bowl was good. The portobello panini was low quality, needed more mushroom.I hope they are able to train more and get there system down. It’s a great spot and a nice place to sit down in.
I walked in to purchase coffee for the caffeine to boost my mind and body to continue exploring Juneau on foot or by car.Vhuntermassage LLC
Snooty employee. Started vacuuming before closing and announced closing and tried to get us to leave with 15 minutes left. Just rude. The coffee was pretty good too bad the service was so poor.
Delicious coffee and good food options. Wifi was fast
This is a great coffee place with good food. Service a bit slow but definitely a good coffee spot in Juneau.
Great coffee and the breakfast melt was amazing!
Great coffee and even better food.😎
Good coffee, and a cozy atmosphere. What more could you want?
Good coffee. Good food.
Lack of courtesy, makes enjoying coffee not so enjoyable.
Got coffee several times during the day. Excellent taste.
Handy coffee in downtown Juneau. Nice bakery selections. Tasty coffee concoctions. Tee shirts and memorabilia. Good place for social distancing. Friendly staff. Clean restrooms. Easy access. Nice views out front windows.
This was a nice coffee and sandwich shop located in the middle of Juneau. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the view of the main street. This place has a very inviting atmosphere and made a nice to place to stop and rest while get something to drink. Dont expect any Free Wi-Fi like you might find at other coffee shops in the lower 48 states. Here you get 15 minutes when you purchase something. I guess internet is expensive in Alaska.
Coffee is good quality but the unfriendly staff made the service terrible. Bathrooms not kept very clean. Will not visit this location again.
Have had really good food and coffee here before but the last time we went I was pretty dissatisfied.
Local business plug best coffee ☕ in Juneau Alaska
I didnt order food or a drink here but my friends did. The tables were dirty. They give you a number to take to your table but they didnt bring the food out. My friends had to go get the food. Whats the point of the number?
Charming place, covid conscious, excellent drip coffee and espresso beverages. The baked goods were also delightful.
Slow service. Very slow.
Really great breakfast food and coffee!
Extremely rude employees!! Will not be back!!
A really good Mocha latte
This place was super cute. Wish I lived close enough to come often. Clean. Quaint. Comfortable seating. Great drinks and lots of choices. Great food and lots of choices.
The customer service is horrible, servers are very rude again. I was doing ok and it started to improve and then changed back making me not like it again.
Plesent friendly fast
Warm place
Great local place to grab a bite to eat in the morning. Bagels are fresh and big, perfect for starting a day of adventure. Coffee was just right as well. Really friendly service and warm atmosphere
Nice selection of Coffee. Staff are very friendly and helpful and know their product. The reason for the 4 star rating is because they only serve coffee in tak away cups, even in the store where is there is plenty of seating .. which is both an environmental issue but also for me I just like my coffee in a real cup!
I ordered a T-Bone steak and it never came. What kind of coffee place doesnt offer T-Bone steaks? I also didnt get the family size bucket of fried asparagus roots. The hell?! Had a great time. Ill be back.
Bought coffee for family members
Free WiFi, good coffee.
Great food
Food is ok. Drinks are ok. I do like the wide open space as you can sit anywhere and stay awhile on your laptop or so. I come more so to have a place to sit, read, and enjoy a basic cup of hot cocoa. Staff are friendly as well.
Great coffee, hot chocolate, and pastries.
This is one of the best places in Juneau to have coffee and their breakfast sandwich was out standing. The service was excellent,so friendly and happy. I would recommend it very highly,we are from Seattle and will return when we visit Juneau again. Ten star, without question. Our waitress, was there checking our needs, she was excellent!
I use to love working there.
I loved it!!! They have good coffee..and they made it exactly the way I wanted my coffee!!! God bless you for that.I warmlly recomed putting this place on your map or route of the day in Juneau.Havent tried the food..saving that for next time 💖💕
Good coffee
I have only been here once, so I may have caught them on a bad day, but I did not have the greatest experience. Upon entering, I asked to use the restroom, and was told that someone had stolen the key, so I couldnt use it and would have to go across the street and up two flights of stairs to use a public restroom inside the mall.Upon returning, my brother told me that a different employee had just given the key to a friend, and told them where their bathroom was. Now either the key was found in the 5 minutes I was gone, or the girl flat-out lied to me.I ordered a brewed coffee anyway, and was pretty disappointed. The coffee was really darkly roasted. No option for a lighter roast. I know that is just my preference, but it would be nice to have the option. I could barely drink it with a heavy amount of cream. If their coffee alone had been a disappointment, I wouldnt have bothered posting a negative review because I understand that is a matter of preference. I hope that they adjust their service mentality to be more customer oriented. Im not a local, and I understand that tourists can wear on locals patience, but when that is your primary source of income, you should be a bit more interested in making their stay more pleasant.
Great sandwiches and coffee, very good location. I docked it a star only because my order took over 25 minutes for a BLT when the place was not that busy in January. Not sure if thats typical, Ill update this review if things change.
Cute coffee shop with a lot of reach around all of Alaska. Tasty sandwiches and great gelato. Coffee was on par with expectations but didnt wow me.
Service is horrible, ugh, I suffer just to be on there anymore.
Waited 10 minutes for 1 drink while people behind us received their entire order. I asked for a refund. They proceeded to argue about whether I had valid reasons for a refund. This included two employees who continued to say I dont understand . Give me a break Heritage, Starbucks has you beat hands down on customer service and delivery of product.
Had the Baja Burrito and Breakfast Melt. Burrito was good, the melt was fantastic (and huge). The special coffee (some Mexican inspired cup, the name of which I cant remember) was also very good. The staff was friendly, food was pretty quick to be delivered, and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed.Great place.
Good coffee
Coffee is good, but the service is poor. Staff member did not listen to order and queried whether we were eligible for their wifi, which only works for 15 minutes anyway then expires. There are some neat independent espresso bars around town, I’ll try them instead.
Ordered a coffee and blueberry scone. Coffee is sooooo hot that even with a cup ring, couldnt hold or drink for min 20 min. Scone was good in flavor but dry. Husband got cinnamon roll with good flavor but it was also dry. There was no offer to warm them either.
Really good food and environment. Lots of seating and friendly staff. Free WiFi for one device but can get more with another purchase.
Coffee is served WAY TOO HOT! No reason for it to be served that way. Couldnt even hold the cup. The outter sleeve glue actually melted to the side of the cup. Employees couldnt care less. Rude, and unpleasant. However, when the coffee cooled off it was rather good!
Several visits great baked gods and traditional breakfast. Their brewed and cold coffee and tea is excellent. They do have rush times and your patience is worth the wait, normally only a few munites from order to receipt of your drinks.
Spectacular
Crazy in the summer, expect long lines. Good coffee but hit or miss service. Decent selection of baked goods and fresh-baked sandwiches as well.
Not much to say. Everything they have is good. So there
Ordered the Mocha and White Mocha for the ladies and the house blend for myself. Three stars because the house blend was bland; lacked flavor and intensity. The Mochas were sweet and delicious....a little too sweet for my taste. But hot coffee on a damp and overcast day is very welcome indeed.
Great place to meet for business or pleasure. Enjoyable and peaceful
We had the white mocha and vanilla latte and wanted to also taste the daily brew which was Sumatra today. Im not a fan of Sumatra, hubby said it was ok. The white mocha was the best for me, it didnt taste overly sweet. The vanilla latte was decent and drinkable for sure it still deserves a thumbs up. The white chocolate cranberry scone was moist and good with coffee. Ive had better scones where I live but despite that if u r here its worth a try and great with coffee of course.
Heritage is a great place to go Christmas shopping. The service was very good. And the people were very friendly. Nothing like coffee beans and cups for Christmas gifts.
Heritage Coffee is well known for their coffee. Their food quality is another matter. Ordered their Eggs Benedict after almost not seeing their food menu by the cash register blocked from view by items for sale. Their Benedict was alright, but their hash browns werent a good rendition. Food isnt their strong suit after tasting their breakfast.
Heritage is a local coffee shop chain. They have a few locations across Juneau, but if youre here for the summer youll most likely be at the downtown location. At the downtown location you can get wifi with a voucher after youve bought something. There is inside seating and its a very welcoming enviornment.Heritage has their own coffee bean line. However, Im not the biggest coffee drinker so I always get the hot chocolate which is to die for!
Coffee tastes like drain cleaner.... chai is ok though. Decent selection of cookies and scones.
They make good mocha and you can get free wifi for 15 mins at a time.
Grew up here and always loved heritage, but they now only allow 15 minutes of Wi-Fi per visit, so they’re clearly trying to discourage people from coming here to do homework/schoolwork. We’ll see how that policy works for them once the cruise ships leave for the year.
Didnt even get my coffee because some other customer mistook it for theirs. They should ask for names so that this doesnt happen. By the time we noticed the shop had accumulated quite a crowd and I couldnt wait.
Great coffee, tea and other fun products. Too bad it isnt larger. Fun wait staff.
Good service nice hot chocolate. Love the place to bits.
Not bad cold brew coffee but way too much ice. Felt like over half the cup was ice. Ask for light ice.
Great drinks and a lovely atmosphere. Could do with some decent Wi-Fi though.
They know the lost art of making a Cappuccino! Good pastries too. Nice wide open interior with lots of seating.
This is the largest coffee shop with plenty of seating but they limit you to 15 mins of internet usage. It takes 15 mins for my coffee to cool down
The guy with the patch on his eye was rude to us. Total was 10.50. I handed him a 20 and then said let me give you a single so u can just give me a ten. He sighed and made it as if it was a big deal. I dont get it.... I was trying to help them out by not emptying the singles drawer. Seemed to just have an attitude.
I am visiting from Phoenix and I love this coffee roaster.. have it shipped year round, so whenever I get a chance I love to stop in to the friendly staff. ALASKA has what the world needs... Community
Its coffee. Kinda trapish...long lines and a wait. Dont show up thirsty
Great coffee, and friendly staff. Lovely stop in a lovely city.
This place is great! My group of ten people crashed this coffee house constantly on our trip here and everytime they got our orders right and were made quickly!
This is an awesome place to quickly grab coffee or hang out and have breakfast or lunch. The breakfast burrittos never disappoint.
Over $14.00 for a snickers mocha and a burrito oaxaca. Snickers was okay. Burrito was small. You have to listen for your coffee order but they bring the food to your table. Napkins and flatware are in the corner by the door. Free wifi but you have to ask for a voucher thats only good for 15 minutes. Cute girls behind the counter is the only plus. :)
