This is like a one stop shop. Grocery store with normal grocery store stuff, deli, fresh and organic produce, household cleaners, pet supplies and everything in between. Home goods, clothes, toys, light bulbs, paint, sportswear, camping, car repair, garden, books, furniture, luggage and so much more. They have a pharmacy as well as a bank and liquor store. And the app itself is great.

My original Fred Meyer and I wish Freddie’s would takeover the entire west coast. Ideal one stop shopping place.

Its an awesome grocery store but you should remove the beer and wine shop and make it a taco bell connected to Fred Meyers thanks for reading this :D.

Awful on multiple levels. Went in to grab the most common cable known to the world in electronics, a USB C to C, used on more than half of all phones and computers, and they had ONE single cable in stock for $41.99. Seriously. The SAME cable on Amazon for $4.99 and in gas stations anywhere for $7. When I saw the price I asked for customer service who never showed up. Also the checker was all alone and had NO idea what he was doing. The register didnt even have cash and they were only accepting debit. Naturally, I couldnt give my money to them after such unpreparedness, mislabeling and stupidity.

Do not ever ever ever ever buy anything from the electronics department at this store. I made the unfortunate decision of purchasing a laptop from here and it was the worst purchase I have ever made in my entire life. I purchased a laptop that simply does not work. Went back in to Fred Meyers, and the people at the service department refused to refund my money. I contacted HP and they had me send the computer in, I had it sent in, got the laptop back 3 weeks later when they had claimed it was fixed. ... The laptop still does not work to this day. I purchased this piece of junk months ago and it is still not working and all i have been getting is the run around. Total waste of 400 dollars. Do not ever ever ever ever ever buy anything from the electronics department at this store. I got ripped off 400 dollars from this store and have nothing to show for it accept a laptop that does not work.

This Fred Meyers is WAY over priced & cant blame being on an islandis the reason cause in Ketchikan at their Wal-Mart this Olay + Covergirl make up I usually get is over $2 more at FM.. Some of thier employees are WONDERFUL, while others are NOT & dont seem to care & act like its a major inconvenience when they have to do anything to help the customer. I also get an entitled, your lucky to be shopping in this store kinda feeling from some store employees at FM as well. They dont really have any good competition is the problem😞 I would not shop here if there were similar retail stores with better deals.

They seem to have the most friendly clerks compared to the other grocery stores. My family and I always have a good time shopping there!

Does not accept Google Pay, Apple Pay. Why is it that I can buy a hotdog from a street vendor but Fred Myers cant update their technology.

Every time I shop here, at least 2 or 3 sale items ring up at full price. Very frustrating to have to go thru your receipt before leaving then fight at service desk for a refund. Today it was about 10$ I was over charged. It really adds up. Whoever takes care of programming prices needs to get it better.

The Fred Meyer store in Juneau is an all in one shopping source. It has decent food, fruits and vegetables selections, and a decent natural food section. I prefer the pharmacy here over the rest of the pharmacies in town.The store has a child care center, electric handicap carts and fairly good restrooms. I do most of my grocery, hardware, and spring goods, and all of my clothing shopping there.

Due to holidays and being understaffed.. I know that its hard for them to keep up with the chaos... Stressful at times... But I do believe that if your gonna be an employee representing a company such as Fred Meyers/ Kroger you need to put on a smile and make the customer feel wanted.. Also some prices didnt really match the quality of the Brand although there are some things thru out the store that youll find just irresistible.. So all in all, staff you all need to breathe in now breathe out... Try that when you feel like you wanna explode..

My wife used to work in the grocery department in the dairy side, she was getting a good pay and loved the staff. hopefully to work again with the company in another location. How about opening up at our Island in Guam ? it would be perfect for all the tourists coming from Japan, Korea, and other parts of Asia.

I stop in when visiting Juneau and its reliably well stocked, at least in the things I shop for. Havent had to ask for assistance from staff but theyre friendly overall. I think their shelf organization is better than my local store, actually.

Fred Meyer is second preferred place to shop for everyday groceries after Costco.What I think is a smart move for Fred Meyer that keeps me coming back on a regular basis is their bargain produce bin. Items bagged are a dollar, bananas wrapped with red tape are reduced price.There also a bargain bin for their baked goods at the back of the store reduced by about half for older items.Other items are also reduced price as it approaches within four days of their sell by date.They have a gasoline station, with diesel and electric charging ports type two and type three fast charger for your electric vehicle. But dont use the type three fast charger frequently even though it will top the battery quickly, it will shorten the battery life.

Great place to shop.. they have everything including international food spices etc plus lot more specially if you shopping for groceries. They even have a section of clothing in there.. and also if u enjoy coffee. They have a Starbucks inside.

Pretty munch the one stop shop. I always check the hardware because sometimes they have awesome sales on random things.

Would rate a 0 because of the restroom cleanliness alone. The mens bathroom has 3 stalls. 2 are broke and the one that does work has had the toilet paper holder ripped off the wall. Floors are wet everywhere and you can see the mold growing on the tile walls.

The bakery is one-of-a-kind four Star. The story of proportion to outright in every category. One stop for a long you need.

Its fast and easy to shop here. The only thing is that it is a little spread out, so you have to walk a little ways to get from place to place. They make up for it in prices with lots of sales all the time. It is worth your time to shop here.

One of the best chain grocery stores available in Juneau, great selection of organic, vegan, ethnic, frozen foods plus household goods. I believe it is actually the longest Fred Meyer on the West coast as well.

What can I say good about this Fred Meyer ??The deli guys are awesome and friendly !! and the bakers and bakery department is great.On the downside, the bathrooms are always dirty and out of paper towels. There are often holes on the shelves where the sale items are, and its difficult to find a manager.There are only two major grocery stores in Juneau. This is one of the lower priced ones.

Staff was generally pleasant and helpful. However, it frustrates me to see all the farmed and/or foreign fish and seafood. An Alaskan store should be supporting our local fishing industry! At least give customers a chance to do so.

Friendly staff, tolerating of my early morning goofiness. Only place in town I shop for most of my food and clothing. Fuel rewards are unmatched in town and makes living here a little bit easier.

Wish there was more competition in town. They still have the lowest prices in town, but the prices have had jumped markedly since Walmart left. They have risen dramatically more then Ive noticed at the other stores.

They always have the best sales in electronics. Watch out for Starbucks though the dingbat just got our order all f d up. Instead of a raspberry mocha I got a white mocha and instead of a Carmel frappe he got a chocolate frappe. Lol and they called us Lily and Julie.Its Will & Judy!

Its one of the only gorcery/departments stores around. But you can find almost everything there. The off brand items were reasonably priced. But the name brand stuff, you gotta be rich to afford all that. The customer service is alright.

Well, you will probably find what you need. It may not be high quality sometimes, but it fills the need. They also have many high quality items and food for every income level.

Best place to get pantry items and sometimes meat (when its on sale). Ive found that Safeway normally has better meat prices and their produce stays fresher longer.

Thomas the asst.mgr of the furniture Department just came up to me while I was sitting on the sofa and asked me if I was going to buy it, I said no. I was thinking of buying one because I need one for my living room but I just watched him kick everybody else that was sitting on a sofa off of them. I been coming into the store since I was a snot nose and Ive never once been told I couldnt sit there so apparently we got a police of the furniture Department. Lyles has has better customer service and youre allowed to sit there and try out what you may buy. I work in retail and I know you dont start off the conversation with are going to buy something, you would probably start with a smile which he did not or ask you how you doing which he did not. JUNEAU ALASKA FRED MEYER SUCKS

Only Supermarket/Department Store in Juneau, AK. You can find anything from furniture and clothing, to organic food and health food store products at this location, and it has a Starbucks Coffee inside to boot 😉. Not as nice as a Carrefour, but it tries. Reasonable​ prices in Kroger chain grocery store products (comparable to lower 48). It also has a full service pharmacy.

Good selection, clean store. Good clothes selection, unless you are smaller, but getting better. Friendly, helpful jewelers and customer service.

For this area it is the best deal around. They have something for everyone.

The Fuel station needs to accept Andoid pay. Its DUMB that the store accepts it but the fuel station. Really annoying!! Ill get like a few dollars here and there ONLY when i cant make it to the next station. Prefer Safeway for fuel.

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Theyre sooo nice,& try to help you whenever they can. I go there all the time,& I can safely say, (im a #1 fan of theres.) They have everything a store should have. But, keep in mind,....if the store gets ALOT of people in it, (in one day), they seem to raise their prices, other than that, i DO recommend this place. If Wal-Mart and JC Penney had a baby it would be this place. Service is okay, prices are okay and selection is okay. Okay gets you 3 stars.Edit: Several bad experiences in this store. The customer service desk is among the slowest Ive ever seen. I understand this is Alaska so slow is expected. This is slower than slow. Expect a minimum of a 10 minute wait not including the 15 minutes youll spend for a simple transaction. Many employees seem to not know or understand their job. This place is bizarre.

Horrible customer service and the wait time is ridiculously long and theres about 10 plus register but only a few are open to check out customers ! Secondly they always expect that your stealing no matter how much you shop there or so much for being consider a loyal customer yet they treat you like a crminal.

Its one of the most depressing places to go in Juneau. I only go there if theres an absolute need for something. The store itself just looks so sad and neglected. Forget about being able to shop for clothing unless you are size XXXL. Shelves are full of holes and displays are utterly uninspiring. Literally everyone that works there looks like they would rather be somewhere else. Who can blame them mind you, working there is only slightly more depressing than having to visit there.Thank goodness for Amazon...

Recently changed due to Deli Department. Would be 4 starsEmployee made eye contact proceeded to ignore me and disappear into back with out a word; other employees were talking amongst themselves by deli meats. I am a tall black woman in pink not hard to notice. Mainly just made me feel bad. This was after coming back after watching slow service ahead of me as employee was not acknowledging customers requests.Other than that I would rate 4 stars for compassion(been on crutches).

Watch the dates people. Its starting to get like IGA. They are are selling people out of date food and I saw a rat in the natural food section yesterday. I am not making this up. if it wasnt a rat it was a pretty big field mouse. Someone needs to clean up the place 🤷‍♂️ sad

Its too bad that Fred Meyer is really the only game in town.Because, I dont appreciated being followed around the store. I dont like how 4 our of 5 times, if Im buying bulk trail mix or raisins through the self check-out, the assumption is that Im a thief and trying to steal.The management here chooses to assume that everyone is a thief and treat their customers accordingly.Other than that, the non-sale prices on food match the other grocery stores in Juneau and the Valley. The dept store is ok; prices are a bit expensive and the selection is great. But since the only real alternative is to shop online, sometimes Ill buy something from the department store side.Truth be told, Id rather support the local business instead of a HUGE Kroger chain. At least Im not followed around the store and treated as if I MUST have stolen something when I go to locally owned and operated stores.

Had a very pleasant pharmacy experience. Along with my prescription, doc also prescribed some OTC meds. The pharmacist himself, without being asked, walked us over to the OTC area and picked up the meds from the shelf. I didnt even have to look for them. This is a big place that Id never been to before, so I was very appreciative of that! He picked up the generic brand and compared the ingredients to the prescription brand. Then showed me the meds were the same. Ive never had such personal service before!! Usually I dont even get to talk to the pharmacist at all - unless I need a consultation.
