Love shopping here. Especially when they have unexpected specials. Its a nice surprise to get something at a discount The staff is always friendly and helpful.

They have the best meat, deli, seafood selection in a grocery store in Juneau. They are the only shop in town for good licorice. Dont have alcohol but do have cigarettes. The one downtown has a pharmacy and are hardware.

I can find any thing there. Love shopping there

Great Juneau supermarket that has everything. They have a particularly strong Asian food aisle that has every type of noodle and rice in it. Prices are Alaska reasonable and it is a very clean place.

From automotive section.. All the way to pet supplies.. Deli with hot delicious chicken to various types of salads.. Sushi bar to live seafood..( oysters, lobsters, dungenous crab, etc.. ) stop by, coffee and donuts always fresh...

Im from out-of-town. I really like this supermarket. It feels homey and complete with all I need, including organic produce, all of which looked very fresh. If you are visiting from one of the 48 continental US states, prices will seem high no matter where you go in Juneau. This IPA had sufficient sale prices that I didnt feel like I was breaking the bank. The store is well-kept and clean. I found the employees to be friendly and helpful. They have fresh floral arrangements and plants. The store also sells some Alaska-only products worthy to take home, such as salsa made from kelp (the green verde is outstanding); vacuum-packed, unique meat products; and dip mixes touting Made in Alaska.

Prices are crazy, but today this young bagger went out of his way to get me help. My cashier was friendly and amazing, not too much like other visits. Todays shopping experience was great, right down to the lady that help me find exactly what I was looking for. She even walked me there.

Local grocery store to pick up what you need and go. Typically cheaper than most other stores in the area, other than the larger retail stores. If youre thinking youre gonna be in Alaska for any extended period of time, take advantage of their reward point system. Its super easy to sign up for to boot

The bear is a great place to shop, they tend to carry alternative items compared to IGA or Freds. Prices are comparable to IGA.

There are not a lot of options for groceries in Juneau, but Super Bear distinguishes itself in having some Asian products not available elsewhere

Locally owned, and some of the best fried chicken in town (maybe thats just the nostalgia). Fairly decent prices, and fresh seafood is a definite plus. Parking is rarely a big issue, and youve got McGivneys a hop skip and jump away.

Convenient location. Prices are a bit high but friendly staff makes it not so bad.

I love Super Bear. Best meat in town. Some things are cheaper elsewhere but they have great sales and friendly staff.

Best meat department in Juneau other than Costco. I go to Super Bear for fresh cut Lamb / Mutton steaks. Overall good grocery store in the valley of Juneau, Alaska.

Nothing wrong with Super Bear, its a decent grocery store and it carries a few things I cant get elsewhere. That said, if I can get something elsewhere, I do; there are frankly better places in town to shop.

My favorite store in town.....i prefer shopping here....small store.....good variety of things....but not to big.They have a bakery! The doughnuts are delicious. 😉.

Super bear reminds me of an old style grocery store. The prices are a little expensive but the quality of the food is very good probably some of the best produce in town. Customer service is very good very helpful.
