Nice clean place but they do need some more cashiers

9/18/2021 ~4:30PM Employee that wasnt wearing a mask and not covering his mouth in anyway coughing right next to entrance toward us and we walked in. . I am writing this so I have documentation if my 9yo granddaughter or I get COVID from this person in case I need to sue Meijer, INC. I understand that not all people can wear masks, but all people can cover their mouths, turn their heads, etc., when they cough. This is the responsibility of the employer to train/teach/mandate how their employees need to act in a public, professional, setting.

Great selection. Love the produce, bakery etc. Enjoy browsing the kitchen and household items.

Most always have what I am looking for. Need to restock R&R caramel whiskey. Have skids of food in the isles and near the dairy isle at differing times.

Pharmacy drive thru was very busy today. Staff was excellent. I suggest extending the lane since only three cars fit in the current configuration without blocking traffic. Otherwise, this is always a pleasant experience!

I came a day early by mistake. Girl in pick up shopped my list and 20 min later after med pick up groceries in my trunk. What a great employee. Many thanks again.

Its Meijer!They dont really need a review from anyone. They have most everything at decent prices in a decent and clean store.

My review is related to the slow pharmacy. The hours listed online and confirmed by Meijer are 9am. Called and it says 10am. Also, no option for ASAP refills anymore so you have to wait up to 24 hours for a damn refill. Drs are calling in emergency scripts and these jackholes still make you wait until the next day after 2pm. This place sucks. Go to Walgreens

I havent shopped here in a very long time. My grandmother worked here long time ago before she died. So when I got to go visit my uncle Tom, I wanted to go and shop and I was able to find a VERY CUTE OUTFIT, that I probably wouldnt find here in a store in my home town.

Not to busy today. Havent been to Meijer in over 6 mons. It was nice to go back & grab a few groceries.

I realize we are all short staffed but it is very frustrating going to the store and not finding half of my already shortened grocery list. I hate shopping at more than 1 store for items I used to be able to easily get at my local store.

Meijer thrifty acres is a nice and clean grocery store. Friendly and helpful ppl. Always clean and well lit.

Hmmmmm. Maybe we were there at a peak time or maybe they cant get cashiers but only a handful of lanes open and each was backed up 4 deep. Stood in line 15+ minutes. Not a big deal but frustrating when so many lanes are not staffed.

I love to shop at Meijer its easy convenient and the people there are so nice...

DONT COME HERE FOR CURBSIDE PICKUP!!!Deleted the 5 star review I left for this store 4 years ago to update with this.Ive done 4 total pickup orders from the Gull rd Meijer, and while none have been fast or efficient, today was the worst. When I called to let them know I was there, they said they would see me in a minute. I waited. And waited. A lot. 3 other cars showed up in the time I was waiting, and eventually 3 employees with 2 carts of stuff emerged. They then went to every vehicle BUT mine, and loaded them up. After that, I got my stuff. I waited almost 50 minutes at that point. I called and spoke to the manager on my drive home, and he didnt really seem to care very much about my issues. Ill gladly drive across town to target from now on. Itd actually be faster.

Great store! Very friendly employees and the one coming out of Kalamazoo the door lady there is just the nicest person. I do apologize that I do not know her name. But she always says hi to me.

Its better than Walmart but they still cant seem to keep some of their shelves stocked

Pop bottle machines never work correctly

Wasnt too bad today but most of the time they have lack of employees and its always a mess trying to cash out because theres only one person working the you scans and so many people need their help all at once

I go here a lot. About a month ago I noticed these signs at the self check out; obviously forgotten due to the pandemic. Trump changed the law in late 2019 and the new age to smoke tobacco legally is 21- nationwide. Over the passed month, I’ve told 3 on-floor associates and even called and talked to the general manager. None of them seemed to care. The signs are still up as of 6/24/21. What started as a “oh they forgot, I’ll be helpful so they don’t get into trouble accidentally” now feels like “I don’t understand why they don’t care so I feel like I have to tell more people”- so here is the review. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Meijer on Gull Road in Kalamazoo is THE WORST. They run out of product quite frequently even if it’s not on sale and it will not be stocked for weeks. Lines are always 3-4 people long. The people who work the checkout for the most part are pretty friendly. I actually feel bad for them being understaffed all the time. Poor excuse for a store.

Just moved from the west side of kalamazoo. This meijer is TERRIBLE in comparison. It’s dirty, dark and not well staffed so checking out takes forever. The wifi sucks at this location so shop and scan isn’t an option. Now I have to waste gas driving back to the west side for groceries.

Good but most of the time slow

They dont treat their employees right at all. Mostly just see the managers walking around while the employees do every little thing. Aint a bad place to shop but I like to shop at places that respect and help their employees. Sometimes its about how the place is ran, its the managers faults that things go wrong the way they do because they dont want to do anything to help because they dont have to suffer for it. The employees have to suffer and stay over time instead of the MANAGERS MANAGING THEIR TEAM AND THE TIME TO GET OUT ON TIME EVERY DAY!You can just tell the employees there get overwhelmed. Please make sure you thank the employee actually helping you and not the manager, because like I said, they dont seem to be doing the work.

Shop here cause they have everything I need on a daily basis@one stop-shop & esp re: fresh fruits & vegetables which havent been recalled as in other places

This has been my home town Meijer and its still the best place to shop.

The store has a great open design and is well staffed. Prices are reasonably competitive although there are competitors that are able to undercut on some items. Variety of products is very good as well reasonable quality for discounted items.

Stopped in this morning to pick up some donuts for national donut day and was even sent an mperk coupon for buy 3 get 3 free. Get there and not a single donut in sight? :(

I like this store.Sometimes they have temporary problems with fresh bread, but now - no problems.

This use to be a really good store, but once again 6th in line for a cashier since I have to many groceries. People backed up into the clothing isles. Customer service not what it use to be.

Youd think that a 65 year old male could purchase alcohol without showing proof of age. After the 30 minute wait to check out and over $100 of groceries, I was told to get my ID to purchase alcohol from the car if I wanted to purchase. Worse place to shop

I like to shop late at night so Im not bothered by rude people. The staff is friendly especially the greeter. It was peaceful and less stressful than going during the day

I was there late, 10pm. Meijer was just like WalMart and I refuse to go to Walmart. Not one, Zero live person cashiers. Lines to go to the self check out. I hate this sort of lack of service. Plenty of employees, just none working a register.

They are never stocked. Drives me crazy. They either need more workers or employees that actually work.

Always will be number one in my book. It has my stamp of approval.

Reliable good quality chain of west Michigan grocery stores. This somewhat more affluent Gull Rd location has a good selection of organic veg and has full fat Siggis yogurt. Its huge and has many other things too. Checkout line is full of things to tantalize kids. Self checkout 20 item max.

Just like I remember from childhood, acres of stuff you need.

Well organized and a variety of choices. Check out lanes were mostly self serve- not a fan.

Bottle return was horrible. Most machines are broken and the floors were so sticky, and seemed like they werent mopped in weeks

Pretty poor customer service.... between the like 8-10 employees around here not doing anything, one of them surely could count the stock available for one specific item. Instead, this COVID LOCATION would rather have a bunch of people standing around in line waiting until 3 pm when the store decides to let the people have at the sports cards. Being the Lord of the Cards of Meijer isnt really a cool brag though, just let the people waiting know if its for anything or if they should get out of the way.

I mean. Its meijer haha 😆 one thing I love is its close and one thing I dont like is when you pull the grocery bag off the next one doesnt open up so I have to sit there and try and separate them. Walmart doesnt do that. For some reason that matters

Meijer is a great option for shopping here in Michigan. I love the sales, the clean environment, and the friendly greeters at the Gull Road location.

Staff are mostly friendly and helpful. Most things are stocked well but like anything there are always things out of stock. Sometimes the wait time at checkout is a bit long and the cashiers are not the most careful when bagging. Overall its a good shopping experience every time.

Service better than most stores...

The Gull Road location is on average very well stocked, though it has times where it does lack on items due to COVID which is understandable. Their produce is always great and fairly priced. Staff are kind and polite every time I have been in. The only reason they get a 4 star from me is due to lack of check lanes. Yes, I could do scan and shop if I am really in a hurry, but I feel the more people that do that, even less lanes will be open on average. Overall though this is one of the better Meijer locations I have been to across the state.

This seems to be one of the better Meijer stores in the area. They are quite busy but they do a good job.

It was Meijers. There was 4 things that I wanted and Meijers did not have on the shelf. The problem I had with this was it was on sale and it was on Sunday, the first day it was on sale. The shelf was empty, I would think that if an item was going to be on sale, Meijers would try and stock the item. I ended up going to the Meijers on Gull Road and they had some of the items.

Always isnt used enough when complimenting a place. I can Always find exactly what Im looking for here or another one of their great store 160 miles away. Staff is Always friendly and willing to help.
