I had a wheel bearing replaced on a 1989 Toyota Camry wagon. My dad & I replaced the driver’s side ourselves & ordered the whole kit with the hub, bearing, & all with no problems from advance auto parts or Autozone. It was hard on us doing the one side. So when my other side needed it, my dad recommended I take it here for the other side. I did & it was around $200 total & they only ordered & replaced the bearing, not the whole hub kit as I did for the other side with no problem. I was told by one of the guys here that it was bad for some time & it was hard to get parts for this car. They only replaced the bearing & it was worse after they fixed it than before. I took it to Wayne’s tire service & they were able to fix it with no problems. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!

I have taken my cars over the past 15 years to A&R. Richard is a very honest man. He has always fixed my cars at a reasonable price and always on time! It is hard to find a mechanic that is trustworthy and reasonable also. A&R fits both these needs. 5 stars to this auto repair!!!

Guys are rude. They act like you are an imposition. The walls are covered in signs demeaning women and the pro-use of guns. I absolutely do not feel comfortable in this place. The only reason I have had to deal with them is because my dealership uses their services. Definitely not my choice.

Nice people working here! Came in for inspection and oil change, got it done within 15-20 minutes. They even left a note for the next suggested oil change based on mileage.Also has a nice and cool waiting area!

Called them to work on my f150. Needed rear differential gasket and gear oil and to check brake lines cause I noticed a leak. Was told they would come tow my truck and they would call when on the way. Never showed up or called back. I took my business else where.

They were courteous and professional and worked with me and took care of the needs for my vehicle I would take my vehicle there again no problem

They never came to get my car

Mr.Richard took a look at the check engine light & saw that the catalytic Converter is in good condition but I was something else that was connected to the catalytic converter & there was not enough coolant in the vehicle radiator but they fixed it for a good price the truck is doing good! Thanks to my father I have never seen since 1991 he know they can fix my truck so he recommend that they fix my truck & I am so happy to drive my truck. EXCELLENT JOB!! A&R Auto Care!!

I have been using A and R Auto for about 2 years, they have always been GREAT to me. I know many people that use them and love them. These reviews here are totally off base! I have been dealing with A&R since moving to Kannapolis in 2008. Always a fair price and always honest. More than once I have had service, arrived home from work and my vehicle was done and sitting in my driveway. They always do their best to keep repairs low cost. The only mechanic that has ever charged me less than quoted price.

Fantastic mechanics had an engine replaced by them what a blessing.... they did outstanding professional.... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

POOR service. HORRIBLE mechanics. Did absolutely NOTHING correctly, brought it back SEVERAL times for them to fix. Wifes chevy now sits in our driveway completely useless and more broken then when originally arrived at this garage.Will NOT be visiting again, will warn others.

Doesnt return calls. Schedules you and doesnt do the work. Clearly they have more important business than your vehicle. My fiance made an appointment a week in advance, took a day off work then brought our vehicle in as planned and ran 7 miles home only to find out it was all for nothing. He never even got to our vehicle and then asked us to come back next week but never returned our calls. This was for $800 worth of work, not small business. We then found another shop locally who scheduled us right away, was very professional and charged us 2/3 the price.

I have been recommending Richard and A&R since 2000. They have always been fair and honest to all of the customers that I could not help when I recommended them to take their vehicles to them. I have personally used them as my mechanics on my vehicle, when it was something that I could not do myself. Since moving away to New England, I trust them to take care of my fathers vehicle and keep his vehicle in safe running conditions. Richard and his family have always called me ahead of time to discuss any issues that they have found and always have had fair pricing. They are an honest family owned and operated business and I would recommend them to anyone.

Just no,...My experience: from having my vehicle for 3 weeks and not calling me a single time, to then sending my vehicle to someone else and failing to even notify me that my car was taken to another shop to have the work completed, it was sent on Tuesday and today is Thursday and I just called and was notified that they didnt even have it anymore, they sent it to another shop! To how extremely rude I was treated both in person and over the phone, to being lied to right to my face, to many broken promises of when my car would be ready, to misdiagnosing and there are several others,... Just do yourself a favor, watch a you tube video and entrust yourself to fix your vehicle before taking it to A & R! So as I said above,... Just no,.. Dont do it! Ive never in my life been treated so horrendous, not even by my ex-husband,... and thats saying a lot in itself!

Dropped a vehicle off to have front brake lines replaced. After 4 days called to check and they said they hadnt been able to work on front brake lines because the rears were rotted and unsafe. The rears were only 3 months old, I went to shop and pointed this out. They said maybe they were mistaken, after another 2 days they said that they were about to start on it. 2 more days go by and I called and they said they were about to start. I went to the shop and the vehicle had not been moved. I picked up vehicle and took somewhere else to be repaired. Wish I could give 0 stars but not a option.

These people are CROOKS. They had my work van for a week. No one would answer or return my phone calls. Was quoted one price. I show up to the shop to see whats up and they charged me $900 and CANT EVEN TELL ME EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID TO IT. Could not print me an itemized receipt. Said they replaced the catalytic converter, but the one that was on there was new and there was nothing wrong with it, AND never gave permission for them to replace it in the first place. On top of that my van IS NOT fixed, which was clear as soon as I drove it home - its still having the exact same problem. So as far as Im concerned, I was robbed.

These people are pure crooks.They took my vacuum line off my car and tried to hide it,as soon as I picked up my vehicle not even a mile later I had a check engine light.As soon as i open my hood too see they took off my vacuum line these people are crooked red necks please do not do any business with the crooked shop.Tire kingdome is a hundred dollars a hour labor they never once did something like this so I will rather pay them then get ripped off
