This was my first time using Diagnostic Shop. I called on 9-24 and made an appointment for brake service. Josh made an appointment with me for 9-28 at 8:30. I left the truck with him and received a detailed proposal by 1:00 pm. I approved the proposed work and they stayed until 7:45 pm to complete it same day. He and his mechanics were thorough and easy to talk with. I look forward to doing business with this shop in the future.

The transmission on our van went out a week ago, Wednesday (7/14). When trying to get the van to this shop on recommendation of another mechanic, it went out completely and had to be towed which means we didnt get to the shop until after it closed. We spoke with a mechanic on duty on the next day (7/15) who said he would look at it that night or the next morning because the owner was on vacation. We gave him until Monday (7/19) because they were very busy, and my wife went by on Tuesday (7/20) (almost a week later) to check on if they could get to it today to at least let us know what needs to be done. The owner spoke to my wife and was extremely unprofessional in his responses to her, refusing to even offer another suggestion for another mechanic, claiming she was being rude. She was shocked that he responded so rudely, claiming it was her. He told her to get the vehicle off his property this morning. I understand what he is saying, but when the business is closed for the night by the time we can get it towed there, and then go by the next day to speak to his mechanic, I thought that would be acceptable. Apparently, they are too busy for good customer service.

I have used this location since 2014. Josh the owner is nice and will give you an honest assessment of your vehicles issues and repair cost. The work is top notch. Occasionally there have been a few issues but Josh does everything he can to correct issues when they arise. Most common issue was communication when multiple items where on the repair list. This shop is extremely busy with limited space for parking but parking is available in the lot next to it. The lifts and machinery used for repair are kept in very good shape. His waiting area is kept neat and clean. He has been known to do emergency repairs during off hours, but this is not a guarantee and depends on his own availability. Most of the other mechanics have been there as long as I have used the place. I have seen much more expensive cars there than mine, seems a lot of collectors and high end cars end up in his shop. The building itself doesnt look like much but the quality is there. The only thing I would encourage them to improve on is turn around time. Sometimes it seems like repair jobs take longer than they should if you leave the vehicle. They are quick to answer your questions though.

Josh and his crew always do their best job. Locally owned and operated so they want to make sure their customers are satisfied.

I called them asked how much to replace front hub bearing on my hummer h2.gave me a reasonable price, jus picked it up. Sounds good now. Thanks

I have nothing but positive things to say about the these guys. Others made me feel like I wasn’t a priority but these guys got me right In next day with an appointment and delivered. Great prices, personable, and quality work. Will be returning. Thanks again!

The owner (Josh) is a ripoff artist. He pays people to leave 5 star reviews. With his repair lingo that nobody understands, he CONvinces you that you need a specific repair. I went there and HE diagnosed my issue. After the ridiculous quote, I took it elsewhere and had the repair completed at a fraction of the cost of what josh quoted and the actual repair was completely different than what Josh said it was

I was helped by a gentleman named Joshua, I think. He was great at communicating and was very kind. He took time to explain what was done and what the next steps were. Im often nervous about going to auto places because of past experiences at other places. But they were great!

Honest service and fair price. Had my MR2 serviced here Chuck and Josh were outstanding on their job on the car. Im not a mechanic but I know enough about cars to become DIY weekend mechanic. They went above and beyond to make sure that the job was done right and even made recommendations to what was needed and to get my car running again. I am very satisfied with the service I got here that I highly recommended this shop to all. If you have any doubts about them then come see me personally.

Always get my vehicles inspected here. Never have a problem and it’s by the tag office. Great place. Simple and easy.

Car still sway to the right after they fixed my alignment

Place is not good at all went there for one thing had my car to three different shop and they all said that it was a knock sensor they said it was too. 3 days later four problems came out of nowhere and they didnt tell me probably wont tell if I hadnt called . Waited for two months for them to fix it just to get it back and broke down on me no ot even 3 mins he told me that its a new problem after I spent 1700 for them to fix nothing do not go please !!!!

Inspection in and out quickly. Seems like a good crew of guys.

Masters of Keep it Simple, Stupid, they found my issue in less than 10 minutes and fixed it free, new alignment is great as well, super friendly staff willing to joke around. 5/5 stars.

Excellent Work! Reasonably priced! Great customer service! I took my Dodge Truck to the Diagnostic Shop based on the recommendation of another shop that works on my Honda cars. A/C had been acting up and suspected it was due to multiple issues. They quickly determined that I had a leaking service port and corrected that problem. I also suspected there was an issue with the compressor clutch since the A/C worked intermittently, but we needed to be sure the leak wasnt the issue. I picked up the truck and the A/C worked great. However, it stopped working later that morning. Called the shop and the told me to bring it back and they would put a technician on it immediately. They quickly determined the problem was within the compressor clutch and repaired it that afternoon and didnt charge me for the additional labor. In this day and age that is rare. Based on my experience, I highly recommend them.

Talk to someone who said they would get my car in...then was toothed couldnt take it after learning what problem I had. Said they were not taking any more cars to work on. Told to try back in 2 or 3 weeks

We have a 1988 Ford ranger pick up truck with 215,000 miles that my son and I we planned to drive to Wisconsin in in Mid November to his new home. Diagnostic Shop performed a very thorough inspection of the truck and fixed or replaced components as needed and performed maintenance as needed. Went in to get a power steering issue checked on my car needless to say worse mistake ever took over a hour to get a diagnosis which I was charged $52 for but wasn’t told about at the beginning, then received a overpriced estimate for $1260 without any real description of what’s wrong with my car I contacted a friend who told me to contact the Ford dealership to check for a recall and sure enough my car was due for a Recall and these men told me absolutely nothing instead they where going to charge me $1260 for a Free recall repair smh!!! Please do not visit this shop unless you want to be scammed poor slow service and dishonest employees!!!!¡

Was there for an inspection and was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Witnessed them explaining issues to multiple people in clear and easy to understand terms. Would recommend them. A bit disappointed, called prior for an inspection price and was quoted 1price however after they provided the service it was more for tint that was put on prior to me purchasing the vehicle new... manufactured, to my knowledge. I had never been charged prior for it. I didn’t know about an extra fee.Would’ve been nice to know about extra fee prior to completion of service especially being he knew i was the person that called just 3 minutes before arriving. 😏

So I am not the type that will write a review. This is my first review ever. Josh is the man you hear me, I say the man!!!! I googled for a mechanic to take my car that was leaking coolant. I got there at 5:30pm which was exactly the time they close. Josh stayed back and worked on my car till 9:30/10pm. He would have rescheduled me say, come back tomorrow as it was time for him to close. I have never seen a mechanic that takes time to make sure your car is good to drive. Not only looking at the problem that brought you to the shop but other issues that might be related or might have caused the problem and anything he will want you to look into. Long story short!!!! This is the place to go. I am happy and will definitely take my car to Josh for anything. He is very knowledgeable and educates you the customer. You are not just sitting there but he tells you what is going on with your car. Shout out to Jerry, he works with Josh, nice guy.

Josh the owner of the shop is very good at his job he wont try and take your money like other mechanics will. A prime example of this, when I had to get some stuff taken care of for my gas tank; he didnt say, this is trash or, you cant use this anymore; no he showwd me what had to be done and he put the same exact part back in just like it was brand new. He has a very good team I will keep using him for as long as I can.

I am a single mom and always feel comfortable taking either of my vehicles to Josh. He is trustworthy and honest and explains every little thing. I would recommend them to anyone, just sent my best friend there .

I have been trusting Josh and Chuck with my vehicles since 2010. They are honest, the prices are fair, they are very good at explaining, and they get the job done properly.

The guys at Diagnostic Shop know what they are doing and try to keep costs down. They are willing to talk to you and explain what is going on rather than just giving vague answers. I have been taking my vehicles to them for several years now and would recommend them to anyone needing auto repairs.

I called today in regards to setting an appointment for an inspection. I was told by someone within the shop that an appointment was not necessary for an inspection. I explained that I would be there in less than 5 mins only to get here and wait for over 5 mins before a customer from cannon pharmacy greeted me. Theres a sign on the door that says please no more work we want to get out a here lol I thought It was a joke but after never even being greeted by the staff to service me, I know this must be true

The only honest mechanic I know and he does a excellent job at all work.

WORST SHOP in Kannapolis STAY AWAY! I took my truck in over 2 weeks ago. Found out today that he wouldnt even look at it because it had a few bolt on aftermarket parts. Let the truck sit for two weeks no notification not even a simple phone call letting me know what was going on. I had even gone by before I had the truck towed to make sure that they would look at it. Then, Josh, a joke of a business owner, had the audacity to tell the customer that its their fault he hadn t fixed. Absolutely unacceptable as a business. Read through the reviews. Look at the current ratings vs the old ratings. Stay away, tell your friends.... youve been warned

Made an appointment a week in advance, after waiting in the cold what looked like an employee shows up and before I can speak a guy rushes up telling him that his car wasnt fixed eight the first time. When I mention something about being on time, I find out this is the owner and he dont like none people tellin him bout his buniess then proceeds to blame someone else. I just walked out while he kept lying. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THIS BAIT AND SWITCH Business!!!! Horrible is being nice to them!!!! BEWARE!!!!
