Muffler masters installed a 2-in lift kit on my 2020 F-150 and forgot to tighten the bolts to one of the struts however they did drive to my office to tighten the bolts. After that I did give them a second chance I came back to get an alignment which I scheduled earlier, I was 12 minutes late for my appointment granted my fault but they had already given my appointment away, with out even a phone call or really a care. Dont go to this place if you expect customer service they dont care if they help you are not because they are busy enough. I watched Tuesday morning while they turned away 10 customers, none of which were happy. The reply from this organization is exactly what you should expect of their customer service.

Been getting work done on my vehicles and my familys for years. Definitely recommend! And if something you replaced goes wrong, they have no issues taking the fault and fixing it again if they were the ones to do the original work on said part, I find that admirable and a sign of a good mechanic. Never had a single issue, loyal customer for years, highly recommend.

The blonde hair woman at this establishment needs a lesson in customer service. I went in there for an inspection and she told me that she couldn’t get to me that day (didn’t give me a reason) . When I came in the next day my car failed inspection and she gave me an estimate. I left and ordered the part because they were going to charge me over 500 for the parts I needed and I got it for 1/2 that price online, when I arrived today she told me I needed an appointment for the service; I asked why she didn’t tell me that when she gave me the estimated and she had the nerve to say “you didn’t seem like you wanted it done.” I guess she is a mind reader; either way I found another business willing to do it with a nicer attitude. Ironically that establishment had asked if I had tried muffler masters first and I explained about the rude lady and he agreed that she wasn’t that pleasant, so it’s even known in the town about her unprofessionalism. I used to go there for my inspection but she can keep her unpleasant attitude!

I installed a muffler kit on my Nissan Titan. I went to Muffler Masters to put in a couple tack welds (where I had the system clamped) and cut/weld in a resonator. They did a great job at a fair price. Ill definitely will be a repeat customer.

I did a lot of research online before finding Muffler Masters. Joe was very professional and was very thorough with explaining the latest trends and quality of parts. I dropped my truck off early and a mechanic(Gene) was very friendly and was able to take my keys early so my wife could make it back to work on time!! I would recommend anyone to stop by! Usually when it comes to mechanic shops you can expect getting the runaround but by just calling on the phone I got an estimate in the final bill was only $0.50 more than the estimate was and they were extremely professional and as nice as they can be not to mention very helpful with any questions I had and being a mechanic myself I can say that this is something that doesnt come along very often I highly recommend Muffler Masters to anybody in need of exhaust work or just some general suspension work done

I was looking for a muffler/exhaust shop to install a new muffler and tip for my Tacoma. After reading a lot of online reviews and asking friends/family. I found Muffler Master in Kannapolis. About a 1hr drive. Well worth the drive. The front desk ladies was really nice and helpful. What made this experience wonderful was Gene. Once my truck was on the lift he came and asked me how I wanted the exhaust/tip to angle out and what I was wanting as far as the look of it. He is really professional and took care of my truck. Great same day service, friendly and more important than anything it seems very honest folks. Brought my Cadillac in when it was having more frequent hard starts and delayed starts, i wasnt sure what the issue was, dropped car off and was fixed before end of business hours that day. Turned out to be an easier fix than id known and they were straight forward, didnt try to sell me extra non sense i didnt need, sign of a company thats definitely worth all mu business. Cant say ive ever got my car running, had an oil change and fixed a dead light and walked out spending under $100, you dont see that nowadays anywhere really. I had to get a new exhaust system.. Meineke in Harrisburg quoted me $700. Muffler Masters did it for $206. This is the only place I will ever go to get my truck worked on.. Gene is a great technician. 5 stars. A plus service and price. Anyone in Harrisburg or Charlotte should make the trip. I live in the University area and it only took me 20 minutes.

I was in need of a trailer hitch to pull my companys trencher, Muffler Masters ordered the part and had it installed very quickly.

I stopped in on Saturday before 9 am to have a new battery installed in my car. When I went to push my button to start my car it read no key on my screen. I tried again same thing. So I put my key fob in my car which I never have to do and my car started. So I went back inside and told them what my car was doing. They pulled my car back around and said theyd fix it. So I waited and waited with my 4 year old daughter who was now getting hungry. Finally they came back with my car and said there its fixed. I got back in my car only to find it wasnt fixed, same problem. So I went back inside and said Im sorry its still not fixed. The guy at the counter (Joe) told me well were slammed back there and we cant keep putting your car back there. I said but you guys messed it up when you swapped out my battery. Joe then told me well we cant fix it today and so cant you just DEAL with it for a few days and bring it back next week. Really?!?! Talk about HORRIBLE customer service!!! How can you run a place and say things like that to customers?!?! I found another worker (Ashlee) told her I was not happy. She asked for my keys and said shed look at it. After a few minutes she came back in and said there its fixed. I got in my car pushed the button and it started. Thank you Ashlee for great customer service and saving me another trip!

They did my tailpipe repair in an expedient and affordable way, no problems. One star off because they gave me an estimate, unsolicited, for replacing my catalytic converter (@$1,000) based solely on a P0420 fault code. If I didnt know that code might be caused by 30 different things that arent a catalytic converter, I might have easily spent a bunch of money that most likely would not have fixed anything.

They let me source my own parts to save money, and the price for installation was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to go back.

Last straw. I am rather new to the area only being here 3 years. I was recommend to Muffler Master when I first moved up. Since then I have taken 5 different cars some couple of times for different exhaust work. I trade cars alot. During that time from for the most part Joe and Tracey have been good to deal with other than coming to an agreement with cost. It seems to always be all over the place and never very competitive which is ok to be little higher because I like Genes work or they will just tell you what you want to do will cost to much.Today was the end of it and I will not go back. Took my car in for them to cut out 8 inches on each side and add finish running my tips out the rear as nothing was there. For this they quoted me 3x what any other shop quoted and the previous work they have done for me. I didnt even bother with haggling this time and asked them to take the car off the lift an I will pick it up.If you have no where else to go yes Gene does excellent exhaust work and they can be fair on there price I guess you just need to catch them on a good day.

Needed a exhaust kit installed and Im new to the area so I didnt have a go to spot. Making online appointment was simple. They took my truck right in and finished in a timely manner. Price was around what I expected but the part that stood out was Joe following up to see how everything was with the exhaust. This place is absolutely amazing. I was traveling from Virginia to Florida today and had brake issues and they went above and beyond to help me at half the cost of the other places I called. They even stayed late to get the job done to get me on the road again. Im forever grateful for their help.

Just finished purchase of some extras for my truck. The new parts fit perfectly, and the bed (tonneau) cover is really nice. Their install went exactly as planned, no hassles at all. The bed divider that I ordered separately actually looked better than the factory offer, and they installed it for me. Again, really friendly service, nice personnel, and good prices. If I need anything else for my truck, I am going there FIRST! (And I WOULD recommend them to a friend!)

These guys do an awesome job and worth traveling the extra miles to see. They told me a couple of hours to complete the job and offered me a lift to a nice country diner around the corner. Returned after one and a half hours and they were finished.

They were extremely great with customer service and even though we had to come back twice because we thought to get tags we had to get a inspection they assured us twice that we didnt because it wasnt time for the car granted we spent all day there to figure this out lol the workers were fun to talk to and resolved our problem. I didn’t get work by this business simply because when I went in to get a muffler installed on my truck they told me I couldn’t get the muffler I wanted beacause my truck needs a certain amount of backpressure which doesn’t make any sense cause you can put whatever kind of muffle you want on my Ram and remove resonators without any issue which is not what they told me so they clearly don’t know much about exhausts. So I took my business elsewhere who did exactly what I asked and couldn’t be happier with the results. I recommend A1 muffler in Belmont cheaper and know what they are doing

Was given a price of $475 at Meineke Harrisburg for a muffler and tail pipe replacement on a F150 which I thought was ridiculous. Came here to see Harold and got the exact same work completed for a 1/3 of the price.

Ive been to many different mechanics in all different states and the people at Muffler Masters are, hands down, the best mechanics Ive ever visited. My husband and I have been giving them all our business for the last year or so (both cars are at the nickel and dime you but not time to replace stage!) and EVERY single time they have been wonderful. Quickly diagnosing the problem, giving honest estimates and doing service quickly. I believe they are even open after 5 and on Saturdays now, which is great for people who work an 8-5 job. They replaced my muffler once and, although they didnt have the part, they assured me the car was fine to drive just a bit loud and the part would be in within a week. The part was in and on my car THE NEXT DAY. I believe a previous reviewer expected them to have every single muffler ever in stock, which is completely unreasonable. I would recommend them to ANYONE for ANYTHING. They even congratulated us on our recent marriage!

Do not go to this place! I went here the other day because i needed my catalytic converter on my drivers side replaced. I already had the parts & everything. Just needed them for the labor. So they did a free diagnostic & came back & told me what the issue was, which, i already knew cause i told them, however, i thought i needed both sides replaced when i only needed one, which, was much better for me cause less money. So, i asked well can u use the part i already have & just weld it on for me cause the direct fit is much more expensive. This mechanic had the nerve to tell me its not just something that could be welded on. Excuse me, why not?? This is a MUFFLER shop this is what u all do. So they advised me to take back the parts i already have & go wit the parts they were ordering, which was a direct fit & was gonna charge me for another crazy part that i did not need including the $160 labor. Im no genius but i only needed one catalytic converter changed, so why is the labor $160. It should only be $80 for one side. Overall, my final bill with them was $631 for just one catalytic converter opposed to the $300 Im paying now for someone to fix the same issue. They will try & get over on u if u know no better. Do not go!!!

I have used muffler masters for exhaust work in the past with my dodge cummins and this time with a corvette, they explain to you the different components and options that you have. They also inform you if the work you are seeking is going to cause you any headaches as far as getting vehicle inspected which is good rather than doing the work and letting it be a surprise to you later.

Never go here for alignments 2 trucks messed up and last one they tried to say that all new parts was wore out I had just put all new parts on front previous experiences should have told me better also tried to get a trailer hook up kit that they told me over phone was in stock they looked up wrong car very poor service I will never go back after they left the tie rod adjusters loose on my truck and front end hope they have better service on other stuff they do they used to do good work on exhaust.I dont have service records there because last 1 was about 3 months ago was told you couldnt do it the trailer plug was just a few weeks ago the changes went to the worse ever since jimmy left it has went downhill you will never get to touch another car for me i hope that some people read this and are careful with the subpar service I met you joe you dealt with me and I wasnt impressed.

Needed new catalytic converter, costed $317 on my 96 Jeep, which is way less than Goodyear was going to charge ($650). Said it would be out in an hour and a half, was out in like 45 instead. Would recommend.

The best you can ever ask for, people are very nice friendly and really fair price compare to big dealers. You should try them and see your self how good they were.

They tried to charge me more than the original quote and then I found out that they only did part of the repairs that I had payed for. They tried and denied what I was telling them, until I showed them the old holes in the old muffler that was to be replaced . After leaving the truck with them to have repairs done, . I still had to wait another 40 minutes for them to do the job I had payed for. Never go to those clowns again.

Awesome place, very friendly and down to earth. Went there just to get a seized o2 sensor out that. I had badly stripped. I had already removed my exhaust myself, they took it back and got it out in no time at all. I believe Harold was his name, I shot him a tip and they didnt even charge me. Dont ball park over the phone.As money is always a factor I wish they could give atleast a price range on the phone (disclaimer that the price could vary). Being such an old truck youd think they have done a few.Here is an example of what you could tell people. We dont give exact quotes. the price can vary depending on any extra parts, hangers, welds etc. what are you looking at getting?Flow master ok those run this much what size pipe? That runs this much per foot each bend and weld will change priceNot to be held to exact pricing you will be in the ball park of $400-$600.Sorry you may have lost a sale over this as Im not going to pay to have it towed to you for an exact price if its going to cost $800 then pay to have it towed back.Im sure yall have your reasons. I feel it would be beneficial to work out some kind of data base or system especially older models to give a ball park over the phone. Hell at least quote out the muffler if not the pipe.Im sure yall have enough business that one sale wont matter but just an idea that woulda helped me in my situation and possibly many others.

I really dont understand how anyone could write a bad review for Muffler Masters. Ive taken every sportscar I have ever had since 2004 to these guys. Yes, they are always busy--MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. If you think its expensive go buy the muffler and piping and bring it in. I guarantee you after labor costs you will be charged more than it would have been for them to get the parts for you. Everytime I have had an exhaust hanger rip or something they fix it NO COST. What else does anyone need to know. They build great exhausts and the constant flow of business should tell you that.

Took my car for a joy ride after a oil change confronted the front desk and no one said a thing after.

We have been extremely satisfied with the service and turnaround of our trucks and cars. They have also done a great job with our trailer lighting and brakes.

I showed up on Saturday before 10am for an oil change. I was told it would be 30 mins. I said I would drop off the car and come back later, they were to call me when it was finished. They called me after 12 and said it was ready. I paid them yet i did not get my keys and my car was not brought out. I waited several mins before someone asked why I was still there. I said I had no car or keys. They checked and it turns my car was not ready because they ran out of filters. I was not told this but in fact was told my car was ready. Around 1:00 someone showed up with the filters. I finally received my car around 1:15 (they close at 1) and was apologized to by the guy that bought out the car. I paid in full and received no discount. A 30 min oil change turned into a 3hr+ appt. I will not return to this business.

I was at one time a loyal customer of muffler master until this August(2017)-I was hospitalized for heart surgery with recovery lasting 3 months. my wife had to take our savings to fix our truck to visit me. She had asked for the a/c to be repared. by the next day, it was out of freon. the mechs never checked for leaks.she took it back to get this taken care of. the little blonde receptionist told her the repair $900.00. my wife freaked. out. my son in law took it to a reputable shop, they fixed the a/c for 110.00 i wilol never go back to muffler master.
