They had a large selection of Pokémon singles and were very kind to my 7 yr old son who was on the hunt for vmax’s. Very reasonable prices~we will keep checking back! Thank you for a great visit to your shop!

Bryan and crew are hands down the best collectible shop team in Houston. They have it all. My kids like Pokémon and comics and they have an amazing collection of both and are very knowledgeable about them! I like sport cards and they have them all! Odyssey is the best in Houston and I am so happy they are there!

SUPER EXPENSIVE DO NOT GO! There is a BIG amount of sports cards and other items that I have NO knowledge about. But the prices for funko pops are so high that it could reach the stars. I came in trying to buy two common funko pops that should only cost max $25 to $30 dollars they tried to charge me $80! Trust me when I say that they were common pops it was a regular charmander pop and a regular squirtle pop which at the time PPG was listing them only at $10 each I understand the store has to make profit but to charge them almost triple of what a reasonable price would be at the time of writing this review is ridiculous. Will not be coming back.

This local spot is a hotspot for memorabilas for sports and movies and also great sports cards for adults and kids to injoy with mom and pops who bring them in for the comics and cards and toys the best part parents he has the new stuff all the time everyone knows pokemon. Its a fun experience every time I go to Odyssey. Brian Wilson really treat you like family and if you are regular theres a lot of perks. I buy a lot of baseball cards and its one of the few places I go in Houston pretty much. Highly recommended!

Brian (owner) is awesome super knowledgeable and a huge help when needing to find things. His assistant on the other hand is just awful. Every time I go in there I might as well ask the brick wall for what I’m looking for. That guy has told me “I don’t know” so many times I thought I was asking my wife what she wants to eat. My work schedule prohibits me to go when Brian is there so I have to deal with his assistant and it drives me nuts. I spend a fair amount of money there and it almost makes me not want to go anymore if I see him when I enter the door. Please Brian fix this he’s a liability like Ryan Gosling on defense in Remember the Titans.

Came more than 30 minutes before the closing time thats listed on the door, lights were all off and door was locked, hard to support small businesses when they don’t seem to want to make money:(

If you want sports card and American comic books, this is your place. They have a good selection of those and will order what they dont have for you. They have a few figurines as well. But manga, gaming supplies, or fandom items are best looked for else where. I came in looking for fandom merch. They didnt have any, because they just arent that kind of shop, but I wont take away points for being in their own lane.

Don’t ever go here. They never answer their phone, and when you tell the owner and his little boyfriend about it they look at each other like they don’t know what’s going on. Some months later called again and again no answer. Told them again that I called and they just look at each other with no response other than that their phone is broken. Broken for months? They never have anything in stock, and when they say that they’ll have it in a day or two they said they’d call me. They don’t. And they don’t have what they say they will have. They don’t apologize. They don’t offer to do better next time. The little guy seems like he’s special needs and they know nothing about comics but snicker at you if you have a question. Their stock is small and an overall bad attitude. I live across the street from the store and after 6 months of these things continuously I stopped going. Bad customer service on top of all of this? Don’t do it.

Would leave negative review if possible. Store had an open box of 2018 bowman draft with 2 packs missing. After debating I decided to buy the rest. Kid behind the counter stated the packs were shuffled after opening. Got home, opened up the box, only 1 auto.Store basically let someone cherry pick a brand new box and get 2 of the 3 autos.I have been here multiple times but my recent visit was my last. I would rather order online than or drive to San Antonio than spend one more dollar here.If you buy cards here only buy sealed boxes. Brand new boxes with a pack or 2 missing have been searched already. Would suggest only buying opened box packs if there is an auto in every pack, even then you may not get one.

I have been coming here for comics, cards (mtg), and card boxes for 9 years now. The owner of this shop is very knowledgeable and a great guy. He is super nice and super professional. If you cant find the item you are looking for, he can probably get it for you, so just ask. Prices are good, too. I would recommend stopping by if you are looking for comics, cards(all types), games, or collectibles.

From one business owner to another, he does it right. Very knowledgeable and great customer service! For me, I also like that he offers collectible cards as well. Not many places offer this and I grew up collecting sports cards. I always try to visit when I’m in the area!

If you read the other reviews on here your visit to this shop will reflect what nearly all of them say. The owner has been there forever and hes a very fair person with very fair prices. He is very personable. I took my 2 sons to his shop And we were probably there over an hour and they just enjoyed their 1st trip to a Sports card shop. They purchased their 1st cards today having picked them out of his selection. He not only had sports cards but his shop is filled with comics and all kind of other stuff. The shop is very clean and very well organized and I found it to be larger than most shops although some people think its a bit smaller. He made me a really good deal on an autographed baseball and some Astros players cards. Later at home my kids fell asleep with the cards they purchased inside their little brown paper bags right beside them. While I was there a few other customers engaged myself and the owner in conversation and it was just a great place to hang out and talk to people. Everybody that came in seemed very happy to be there to visit. This is what I expect out of a local card shop. If you have been to other card shops in Houston you will know that you dont get this. Having just recently moved to Katy I am happy to find a local card shop that I will be visiting frequently. When I read The few other reviews with negative comments I have to wonder what type of people those are. I will finish my review by saying I felt comfortable Enough spending time in that shop that I will be getting my supplies and anything else from him for now on. I found my local card shop.

Nice owner and nice place, small and cozy. Doesnt have a good volume selection, mostly single issue. Im a DC kind of girl, and most of the selection, particularly graphic novels/volumes, is Marvel, or very basic. I have a lot of comics, so he usually doesnt have something unique that catches my interest. A good store, not really my style, but Ill still go in to check from time to time.

Wow!! Really great service and very nice selection. My two daughters and I stopped in for the first time. Looking for nightwing/batman/ or walking dead stuff. I was very surprised by the selection ( they also offer a very nice selection of sports cards) and even more surprise by the service offered by the owner. As a comic geek (like me), the selection of back issues and trades is a little limited. As a card game geek (also like me), this is a really good place to pick up some cards or supplies. If youre a fan of sports cards (notsomuch), then this place really shines for you. No matter who you are, the customer service here is phenomenal! The owner is always friendly and genuinely appreciates his customers. If youre a comic collector in the area and need a place to set up a pull box and pick up your comics, this is a great place. Highly recommended!

Misleading shop size. Not as big or diverse a comics collection as some of the larger stores in town, but the size is misleading. They have a really nice selection of comics. They even have a couple of kid-friendly titles. My 12-yo grabbed Dr. Who and my 7-yo grabbed Labyrinth.

Greg is a fantastic proprietor of this Katy, Texas comics shop. I was first greeted with excellent customer service (he gave me an amazing promo poster, earning my gratitude for life) and I came back to this shop time-and-time again during my years in the Houston metro area. Ive sat and talked with Greg about the origins of his business and his interest in the products he sells, which includes a ton of sports cards, as well as a selection of non-sports cards, including some customizable card games. Now comics, those are what I most enjoy.With a great selection of 50-cent mainstream (and some semi-indie) comics, as well as a selection of moderately-priced back issues of some more sought-after series, as well as a good trade paperback selection, Ive often found it difficult to walk out of this place without buying something, or even a lot of things. He even has a small discount trade paperback section, as well as some discount action figures. Affordable comics for reading was my main purpose in frequenting this shop.Any time he didnt have a comic title in stock, hed be able to order it for me and have it within a few short weeks, another great aspect of his customer service.I sure miss Houstons taco trucks and many of its comic book shops, and Odyssey Comics and Cards is a shop I try to visit during each trip to Houston I make.

Odyssey has been around for a long time I remember first getting into Comics there and the owner Greg has been a wonderful owner is always willing to talk loves baseball unfortunately its only open on weekends now as Greg has unfortunately passed away and remains to be seen how long itll be open.

They take time for ANY customer with elite service regardless of the nature. I highly recommend this business with full confidence that anyone who reads this review will feel like me once they walk through the door. Dont believe me! Go see for yourself!

After being absent from the sports card and memorbilia hobby for 20 years, what a great way first way to get into my first sport cards store! Spent like 2 hours with Greg, browsing, learning, asking questions, getting knowledge, opionions. He even went thru a collection of comics I had, wasnt trying to take up too much of his time cause us collectors can talk and day if not all year on sports and comics. Very much appreciated, today was a good day. Thanks Greg. And I saved like $4-5 compared if I bought top holders off Amazon. 😉 Support his shop, no matter what your into. Ill be back soon I hope. A lil far but me and my dad made half a day of it and had a good time.

Is a great store but doesnt have much of a gameing/tradeing card selection unless your looking for sports id say they would need to widen there stocks on YuGiOh and Pokemon by having some of the older tins and not only the new stuff such as for YuGiOh maybe stock up on Joeys World boxes and some older packs that are worth holding
