They continue charging the memberships on 9/15/21 even though we went there to sign the cancellation on 08/15 which they charged for nothing. My mom called the manager, Jaime and asked him to stop but they still charged us this month. We will call the bank to cancel the unauthorized transaction. I wonder why they keep charging money from people who didn’t want to come to their place? This place is terrible and I will never recommend my friends to go there. I wish there was a zero star to give to this place.Don’t ever let them charge you once you have canceled. The manager, Jaime will avoid returning to your call because he doesn’t want to return your money back. Karma is real Jaime. You charge people for nothing then someday you will close your facility. Staff is not professional as well as Jaime.

I wish there was a zero star to give to this place. Please do not use your credit card to pay as they will keep charging you even when you have canceled the membership. You may pay cash (it sounds so bothered) to help you not getting headaches or upset from being charged for nothing after you have done with this place. I never and never recommend friends to come to this facility.

You get what you pay for. This is a low cost, minimalistic gym. For 5 bucks a month you get a basic gym with a decent amount of cardio equipment as well as weights (machines and free weights). What more could you ask for.

Good local gym. Staff are nice people.

No bells or whistles just the essentials. Space is not too big with no sauna, pool, basketball or racket ball court. What you get in return is a $5 monthly fee, all the necessary equipment to stay fit, friendly knowledgeable staff and a convenient location for those who live nearby. Tim, the gyms manager always does a great job. Overall, this location is kind of old school in many ways just for those who are serious about their workouts and need no extras.

Im not a member, never have been, I dont owe you money, stop calling and texting. Ive asked dozens of times over the past few years and they refuse to remove the number from the call list.

I noticed two separate charges on my son account. I called fitness 19 see find out what the second charge is for. They stated there is another person add to the account. So Fitness 19 is allowing people to add themselves to your account without your knowledge or approval. Yes i spoke with management, he said he had to speak to the other party thats on the account that my son is being charged for. Absolutely unprofessional and a total waste. People be aware of the charge on your account. Fitness 19 are crooks

Great little gym. Its small and very basic but at 5 dollars a month what more could you ask for.

I like this gym because its small. I can be in and out and the machines I use are always available. Ive only attended as a guest, but I visit often. A friend and I rotate with our gyms. The ONLY complaint would be the hours of operation. They open at 5am but the lady that opens is late. EVERY SINGLE time. There is always at least 5 people waiting outside. Then we have to wait for her to turn on lights, get set up etc. Shes never more than 5- 7min late but when u only have an hour to work out before wk, u lose about 10-15min. Waiting for her to get there and open up shop. So it can be a lil annoying..... on a bright side the young lady is kind and helpful.

STOP calling me, this is not Anthonys number, I have never been a member. Youve been calling me for 2 years about someone elses late payments and I have called you back a dozen times telling you that.

If I could give zero stars I would. Ive been trying to cancel my membership for over 2 years and they continued to charge my account even after changing my card number without my consent.

Not packed all the time, no gym thots, can actually get a good work out in. Note it’s smaller than most gyms but maybe 10 to 15 people in there max, so you’re not waiting for ever for equipment.

Me being honest, it’s hard to agree with the bad reviews. This place has great management, great worker, great PT. I been here for a very long time. Very clean. Will be happy!

I have a love/hate relationship with this gym! First I will say my needs are based on usage of stationary bike, stair climbing machine and free weights. The machines are no different or special from the ones found at any other gym. I love the small facility this gym is housed in. I enjoy the location close to my home. I like that it has 2 walls being windows to see into the parking lot. You can see your car parked and feel safe if coming when it is dark out. However it also lets a lot of sun in so the front part of the gym where the cardio machines are kept. It can feel very warm in the morning. Now for the bad...this gym smells like old rubber and I don’t know what else mixed together. It makes me feel that it is stuffy and sadly, not clean. There are no disinfectant spray/wipes in sight for public to use (even during this COVID pandemic which is very surprising) I’ve not seen enough disinfecting from the staff that I wish I did see. I once saw a member bring his own Lysol wipes from his gym bag and use that but I think that is not something members should have to provide. The bathroom sinks have terrible water pressure that makes it hard to rinse soap off your hands. There is a Dyson air handler dryer but the clump of slimy looking goop sitting at the bottom of it bc it’s not been cleaned makes me not want to use it, so I just walk away with wet hands. I feel very dirty after leaving but shower as soon as I get home. There are no showers there so if you need access to one keep that in mind. For the good...they have an amazing selection and variety of feee weights. I believe there are close to 80 pairs of dumbbells and they are neatly organized. It makes a huge difference to not have to wait for someone else to finish using a pair that you need and makes it easy to use more than one set at a time when you need multiple sizes. My husband added himself to my membership but they never authorized it through me so I didn’t like that. I felt like they should have at least called me to see if it was okay especially since we weren’t married at that time yet. In the end, I cancelled my membership but will miss it too. That’s why I say I have a love/hate relationship.

Family and I have been going here for a couple of years now and love this gym. Great environment and staff is wonderful. I recommend coming to check it out if you are looking for a gym.

This is a small but great facility to get a good workout. I left LA fitness to join a smaller (less crowded) gym and after months of coming here, I see I made the right choice. I have met great people and helpful trainers that have helped me reach my fitness goals. And the price is right for my budget and family.

This gym isnt a bad option if you just want the basic essentials for a workout. The gym has workout machines for all purposes (cardio, resistance, etc.) Theres no sauna, no hot towels, and no pool for swimmers. This gym is very bare bones, but for the basic tools and for a cheaper price than the other gyms in the area I can recommend this place if you just want the basics. Also staff at times can be quite rude but ive only had this experience once when a woman I asked questions ignored me while being on her phone. Overall gym is good for basic workouts, everything else is mediocre including customer service.

I been in this GYM for about 6 year and to me everything was ok before covid came.Now every day I go to the GYM I get angry because the employees never use the mask,they are not watching out for other people

Awesome atmosphere, great equipment, great trainers, Tim is a great manager and trainer and will do what he can to help you get in here and get what you need out of every workout! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! for $10-20/month its hard to beat

Love going to this gym, it’s very clean and has all the equipment I need. It is easily my favorite gym and highly recommend it.

The guys that run this place are very polite with knowledge to get you results. You should want to maintain your body as you do a car, home, or anything you maintain. A excellent place to exercise and get healthy without the pressure of other gyms.

Young kid that works there named Isiah should learn to respect people. The gym should be cleaned when the gym is closed. You dont need to lift up all treadmills to dust and vacuum while there are members doing elliptical and bike stations behind them. I asked for him to turn off the vacuum and said this should be done during closed hours. He did turn it off but had a laugh and said something as I was walking away. I asked if something was funny and he just turned his back and walked away. Very rude!!! Cancelling membership tomorrow.

Ask for Jason!Im not one to work out on the regular, really at all. Ive been making attempts to get in the gym and get into better shape. I was able to have one on one assistance with a trainer named Jason. He was knowledgeable, friendly and gave me meal and workout plans that were a great fit for me. I will be back.

Update steadly has been drooping in starts for me....ive continued to get screwed here with hidden fees and false compromises it really is not worth the hassle.called to see what was going on and no body knows or can look on to it because only 1 peraon can access that information and he is not there...this is alwys the story and i always end up getting contacted by different people...talk about sketchy.. Will be going in tomorrow...will update again after wards.

It is what it is. All the equipment is good quality manufactures. It has all the essential weights too. The facility can get crowded in primetime after work and you got to know how to work around people but if you are on a budget or strapped for cash this is your place. The staff is cool too and will help you if you have questions. The place has improved since they made Tim the manager and since he is a weight lifter he keeps the place up to par.

Pros: No-frills gym with plenty of equipment and reasonable fees. Enjoyed my workouts with helpful advice from the trainers. One HUGE Con: Fell victim to credit card fraud likely at the hands of one of the employees, but the owner wont cooperate and refund my fees. I simply want my money back and my personal records removed from their files. Owner was very rude and condescending to me.

This place is allowing children age 12 and above to sign an agreement alone with out an adult. They claim that every member is told about the maintenance fee but that is not true because my son and my mother were both unaware of the fee before it was automatically debited from their accounts. They will not give you a refund if your don’t agree or want to cancel. Beware!

Not happy at all after cancelling they are still charging another month even though I paid up front for the for the month when I signed up, not sure exactly why you still need to pay another month after..........but Im glad Im not going back anymore!!!

Excellent gym for the $$$. Trainers are very knowledgeable. Finding a gym is a very difficult process because of all of the hidden fees and promos. The appeal that Fitness 19 Katy had on me was presenting their product without all the hidden feess and contract agreement.

The gym has all the equipment I need to workout. The gym fees are super low. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I visited other Katy gyms and Fitness 19 on Fry Rd is a perfect fit for me.

I signed up for a membership just to workout whenever my gym was closed due to Harvey, and was told that there was only going to be a prorated payment for about half the month. I was fine with this, and wanted to reassure the person that I wanted the membership for just half the month and no further. Upon trying to cancel, I’m told that you need to cancel within 30 days of the next billing date. So I had to pay another payment for something I asked them about whenever signing up. Not to forget that they upped their rates while all the hurricane was going on and all the other gyms were closed. Very cheap management here, and I’m not too pleased with it.

Its getting better, they replaced the treadmills finally... but watch your account they will charge you double and 2 annual fees per year.. take your own toilet paper.... you get what you pay for sure

Ive been a member for a little over a year and while the facility itself is clean and well taken care of, Ill be cancelling my membership because of the childcare.Parents: gyms arent subject to the same childcare ratio laws that home/daycare facilities are subject to. Fitness19 in Katy has ONE childcare provider per shift. The provider/child ratio during peak hours (5pm-8pm) can be 1-15; thats one provider for fifteen kids ranging in age from infant-12 years old.Today when I went in, the air conditioning was broken and there were at least 13 kids in the childcare area. The childcare provider did not know when the A/C would be fixed and looked overwhelmed by the amount of kids and the condition of the room. I did not feel comfortable leaving my children there-the daycare room is about 12 x 18 ft and there was almost no room for my kids to play. On top of that, it was stuffy and gross because the A/C was broken. In my eyes, thats a safety violation.I approached the front desk attendee to ask how I could get in touch with the owner to discuss my childcare concerns, which have been building over the past 4 months. I was not treated like a MEMBER. Instead, he spoke over me and told me that he couldnt give out the owners personal information. The only person I could speak with was the manager. Im at a point where I need to escalate the conversation beyond management.If you want to get fit for a low price, join Fitness 19. But if you have kids, look somewhere else.

Poor experience with the staff. I cancelled my membership in April and they are still charging me after I signed and left with a copy of my cancellation. The manager TIM has the nerve to sit there and say I resigned up and that his sales associate wasn’t lying.. that “it could be me but I just forgot”. I never resigned a new membership giving them authorization to charge my card. Such a hassle with gym. They charge annual fees within a month of being there. They threaten to fire staff if you go against them. Also they text you from their personal phone numbers every week!! Just do your research before signing up here.

Trainers are nice. Atmosphere is pretty chill. And they have something for every muscle in your body.

It would seem that whenever a convenient holiday (think bankers holiday) comes up they decide to open up late. Let it be known that people that still have to work on Presidents day depend on the place opening up at 5am, not 8am. I witnessed 6 different people come and go waiting for the gym to open only to find out after waiting for over half an hour that theres a sign on the door that they wont open until later...Another thing, prepare for the a/c to not be on even if its hotter than Africa in there. If you want a dependable, open gym, stay away. Ive witnessed late openings a handful of times and as a business this is just unacceptable. Im contemplating joining an Anytime fitness and making the drive because I know they will never let me down with availability. It would be worth paying more and waking up 15 minutes earlier.

Everyone submit a complaint against this gym to the FTC online if they charged your bank without consent. This has been happening to a lot of people because of these thieves. The employees make excuses to avoid bringing the manager in. !!NEVER GET A MEMBERSHIP HERE THEY ROB THEIR OWN CUSTOMERS!!

I am a member of fitness 19 fo a long time I like it, it has all new equipments that I need to workout, the price is right and it’s close to home

Its been almost a year with my membership, I was very happy with every single person in there. Until today I decided to pay the kids club now that the kids dont go to school. My five year old had allergies and the person in charge of the kids club sat my daughter for an hour and twenty minutes because she did not want the other kids to get sick. They need to inform the employs about whats contagious, I am very disappointed.

Great price, clean, friendly staff.Giving it a lower score because of customer service.I needed to cancel my membership because I moved farther away making this gym impractical to go to. Came in on a weekend day when I had time to make the drive and they said I have to cancel in person with a manager only Mon-Fri. Pretty ridiculous to expect having to drive across town and back, in Houston traffic, just for a 2 minute conversation and cancellation with a manager. Terrible customer service to not give people a right to cancel at any time with ease.
