Great service and good prices. I always trust them ith our vehicles. They give you lots of options to fit your budget. They always have some fun promotional thing going on. (Example: they had $5 boondocks gift cards for any service or inspection).My dad was a mechanic for years, and can do-it-yourself with most car things, but whenever we need more than he can do, we take cars here.Also, as a bonus they have a little lobby area with good ac, comfortable chairs, cold beverages, and a couple toys for the kids to keep entertained.

I have to say I have had many experiences with mechanics and this place was so good to me. I am a single mom and struggle with keeping everything going and the last thing I needed was my car to break down on me due to that is my job doing deliveries. If I could give this place 0 Stars I would. We took our car in to get emissions done. When my husband went to pick our car up the mechanic working on the car told my husband that he broke the hood release on our car and that they would make it right… My husband left our car there for months! Finally they fixed it and then wanted to charge my husband $300 for labor!! They said them paying $15 for the part was making it right.. completely unacceptable. My husband left a review earlier today and they deleted it. Such a Joke.

I used to bring all of my cars here in years past. The last couple of times theyre pricing has gone way up! Recently went in for a water pump and thermostat replacement and they wanted to charge over $1,000! Took it to another local shop and they did the exact same work for less than half the price.

We’ve gone to these guys for years. Initially we were extremely satisfied with their customer service and mechanical service.HOWEVER, over the past 3 years their service has declined dramatically. I took my Mini Cooper in because the check engine light was on. They kept the car 2 weeks, and charged $3000. I drove the car for 3 weeks and the light came back on. I took the car back, again, they kept the car 2 weeks and charged an additional $2000. Within 2 days and only 58 miles driven, the light was back on. I returned to these guys and they said it would be $500 to put new ignition coils in. The same part online was $100.WE ARE NOT GOING BACK!WE ARE NOT GOING BACK!

Most trusted mechanics Ive personally worked with. They helped fix things that other mechanics either couldnt figure out or wanted to charge more to replace things that ultimately wouldnt solve the problem. Trust experience over the cheapest or closest mechanic you may have.

Phenomenal service! I got an oil change, 2 new tires, and an alignment done recently by these guys and they are awesome! When one guy was telling me about why I need new tires he took me outside and pointed out exactly what was happening with my tires, what causes it, and what I can do in the future to prevent it. I think his name is Chad but he and Joe were just incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and a pleasure to receive services from.They didn’t try to oversell me on anything I didn’t need and they talked to me respectfully which as a young woman is a legitimate issue faced all too often when finding a new mechanic. I don’t plan to go anywhere else now that I’ve found Experienced Automotive!Could not recommend the team here more

They are the ones we trust for our emissions testing. Fast and convenient to renew our vehicle registration with tabs. When they found an issue, they fixed it! Didnt make me leave, get the minor problem fixed. They did it all. Thank you!!

Their shop’s name should be In-experienced automotive.First off….these guys are a very kind bunch and I wanted to love this shop. I wanted them to be my neighborhood car repair shop but their continual disappointing quality of labor finally came to a head after a year and we just couldn’t put up with them any longer.They’ve worked on all three of our vehicles and we’ve had to repeatedly return to them afterwards because the job was incomplete or they forgotten something or what they “fixed” broke again. The last and final straw was the headlight replacement they performed on my Toyota Prius. They sold us some aftermarket LED headlight placement kits and they installed them. These light were a poor quality that repeatedly went out. They finally admitted, after 8 months of going back and forth, that they were having multiple issues with this suppliers led replacement kits. But to add on top of that, 4 out of 5 times, when we got our vehicle back our bumper or the plastic underliner wasn’t attached or remounted properly. (The front bumper has to be dropped to get into the headlights). We finally were done with their incompetence when that plastic underliner partially came off while driving on the interstate…TWICE (they “fixed” it once and it yet again it was only partially fixed). We took it to another shop and after looking at the exact same thing I showed the mechanics at experienced automotive, the new shop’s mechanics agreed that it was shoddy/incomplete work and was a safety issue.Experienced Automotive does have lower prices but their quality is below average. You really do get what you pay for.

Workmanship is below expectations.Photo left shows an incorrectly installed sway bar link(car could roll in evasive maneuver) compared to photo right. I had to get parts and install correctly so I could get to work before they could redo job. They would not compensate me for my time.I was charged more for a rebuilt rack&pinion than for a new ac/delco rack&pinion ( $669 on bill for rebuilt ac/delco rack&pinion - new ac/delco rack&pinion autozone $620 - rebuilt ac/delco rack&pinion $175 at autozone).Always get a competitive bid before going here. The other shop I use bid the job for $500 less than this shop.

We brought our car in for a new timing belt. Experienced Auto was great! Great price, quick scheduling, great service, and great quality. Our car is running so well! This is our go-to auto place now!

I had a pre-purchase inspection performed here. Joe was extremely helpful scheduling and explaining their inspection results to me. He went over any results that I had questions on. He also offered his opinion on the make and model of the car in general. He gave me confidence in the purchase of the vehicle. I would continue coming here.

Ive had EA do work from minor jobs (AC recharge, replace tires) to major jobs (replacement clutch, high pressure fuel pump) theyve worked on several different cars for me over the last couple of years, including my diesel truck and theyve been great!Im most pleased with their communication. They keep in touch throughout the work or service they are doing and communicate with me when ever they find something unexpected. I also appreciate how quickly they can fit me into their schedule.The owner, Chad, is doing a great job and has an awesome staff. I highly recommend Experienced Automotive.

I’m not usually one to write reviews, but I feel as though my age almost costed me $500 unnecessarily. Took my car in for an emissions test after purchasing the car 3 days prior. My car had passed emissions 1 and 1/2 months ago with the previous owner, no issues. Everything but the exhaust/muffler was great, came back the next day to have them look at my car. Was originally told the car was leaking, probably just needed an exhaust sealant. Come to find out they want me to buy a whole new muffler, charging $472 to complete it. Had a friends dad look at the car, he said it was totally fine. Went to another shop to have emissions done and they cleared my vehicle. I’m not understanding why my car didn’t pass with this company, but it did with another one, and why they want to charge over $100 more than another company would, even if I DID have to replace my muffler. Sucks that they’re so nice, they just charge way too much for unnecessary repairs.

I came from Colorado to car shop and spoke with Joe about scheduling a pre- purchase check for a used vehicle. He was able to fit me into their schedule the same day. The check was thorough, affordable and only took about an hour! Joe even ran a equifax check for me and went over it in detail.This is my first time buying a car or getting an auto loan so I was a bit lost. Joe was kind and answered all my questions even though they weren’t all about the mechanics of the car. I am so happy with my experience and am thankful that Joe went above and beyond. If you live in Salt Lake and need a great mechanic, Experienced Automotive is the place to go!

So my experience with this shop hasnt been 100%, they broke my abs sensor. That being said, they were beyond fair about it, straight forward with me, and did everything they could to make the situation right. Apparently my sensor was seized and there was no way to remove it without breaking it. When they installed the new one they didnt charge me for the labor and even called around to find one at a discount. I trust this shop, and I will be back.

These guys are very skillful about what they do. I was having a tricky engine oil leak for a while until they found the root cause of the issue and they successfully fixed it.A previous auto repair shop failed to find the issue in three different occasions and obviously failed to fix it. I spent lots of frustrations, time and money with the previous shop.Chad the owner of Experienced Automotive was able to accurate diagnose the issue, estimate the cost and successfully fixed it at the very FIRST visit. THANK YOU SO MUCH! We had car trouble late on a Friday afternoon in my daughters car, while on our way to Oregon. We were directed to Experienced Automotive as an in-network repair shop with one we use in Provo. Experienced Automotive sent people to Salt Lake for parts, stayed late to fix our car, and got us back on the road by 7:30 that evening. They stayed late to get us moving again. Who does that? These guys are awesome! The car ran smoothly all the way to Oregon and back.

Went here to get a full inspection on a car I was planning on buying from GP motor company (would not recommend GP motor. terrible experience). the woman at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable. took an hour to do the assessment and took me out to have a look for myself.my experience was great. very friendly and honest. gave me piece of mind on my car purchase.

These guys were great! Was on a cross country road trip (mom plus two kids) and was having issues with my brakes mid-trip. They got me in quickly, diagnosed the problem quickly, and had everything done (new rotors and brakes all around) in a few hours. I was able to be safely back on the road the next day. They were fair with price, honest, and willing to keep parts to show me what the problem was and let me take pictures to show my husband and father-in -law who usually does our auto maintenance.

I have come to trust this automotive shop. They are trustworthy and do a good service. I had an axle seal that failed and took it back to them, nothing but the best response for the repair work. I know it is hard to trust mechanics lately, but this shop has earned it. I have talked to Chad (the owner) a few times and he is a good person.I installed a high performance air cleaner on my sports car and accidentally pulled a wire apart. Check engine light came on. I took it to them and they quoted me $60 or so to get it taken care of. I got a call a bit later in the day and they said that it was done sooner than expected and that they only were going to charge me $30 because it did not take as long as expected. THAT is what I expect in an honest shop.If you have any reservations, take my word for it, they are DEFINITELY worth the shot.

They were very polite, was good priced. They beat the shop in price that I used to go to regularly by $200. Then they honored my warranty recently with complete ease. Highly recommend.

Brought my car in for UDOT yearly emissions test. Experienced was awesome. They even took old stickers off and put the new ones on. I asked for them to check tire pressure .... They did, filled one that was low and discovered a broken tire stem. They fixed the tire stem .... At no cost! Experienced Auto is outstanding and I have total faith in them to do the work right and charge a fair price.

We have brought our Prius into Experienced Automotive three times in the last 3 years. It currently is 5k shy of 200k miles. Each time we get her back shes running like new and has needed no major repairs. Usually its for minor issues like oil consumption or a check engine light or a rough sounding engine. They identify the issue and suggest resolutions. The prices are fair and surprisingly low at times. The staff is professional and look like the work on cars. They will explain things in as great or little detail as you can handle. Ive personally worked with Chad, Troy, and Sherry. All great.

An honest repair shop. This is the first time I have been to this shop. My car had a very complicated and hard to fix issue due to nearly impossible to find parts to fix my car. They went the extra mile to do everything they could to find the parts to fix it. In the end it turned out not worth the cost to make the repair. And Ray was honest and up front with the diagnosis and the bad news. In the end I believe he did everything he could and he charged a very reasonable price for the effort he and the shop put into it. I went to four different shops and he was the only one willing to take the project on. I would recommend Experienced Automotive to anyone.

Sorely, sorely disappointed.. Been here a couple times, felt they were knowledgeable, but maybe a little overpriced.Took in a car to request help aligning timing belt. Was sent away, told my car was a total loss with bent valves -- needed new or rebuilt engine.I happened to mention this to a coworker, who happened to know the make and model of my car had an non-interference engine. Meaning the valves could not have been damaged with any recent activity.A friend was able to get my car running in a matter of hours.I hate writing bad reviews... but I could have suffered a loss of thousands of dollars with this, and a loss of a car I loved. Either there was some pretty bad miscommunication in this case, or there seems to be a lack of expertise.

It is great to have a place with a great charming front desk guy, I feel like they are honest with me and want to make sure I understand what needs to be done on my car, why it should be done and what my options are and my timeline to get it done. You dont get that everywhere you go. A lot of places end up making you feel dumb if you question what they say. They are always patient with all of my questions. I love that I DONT have to go to the DMV to get my stickers when getting safety&Emissions done to register my car. They do it right on the spot! I started going to Experienced just for my emissions and inspection. But, last month I was out of town on a business trip and my daughter had a problem with her car. I called the folks at Experienced, told them what was going on, asked if theyd take good care of my daughter when she came in, and they did.Their rates are great, the service is amazing, and I will now be taking all five cars in our household to them exclusively.

We have used them a few times now after being very dissatisfied from somewhere else. They are fair in price, thorough, honest, and timely. I highly recommend their services.

I went to get emissions and safety, as well as on-the-spot renewal. Took 25 min tops. Also gave me a great quote on a few different services using parts Id purchased. Chad, the owner, is a great guy to chat with as well. Definitely going back.

If you’re all about customer service, then Experienced Automotive is where you want to go! These guys have taken care of me and my family for years! They all are very experienced and well trained all across the board. From rebuilding an entire engine all the way down to fixing a small rock chip in my windshield.

I was visiting family in the area when I had some car trouble. I would have fixed the problem myself, if I were at home with my tools available, but had to take it in for service around Kaysville. I googled some local repair shops and decided I would try Experienced Automotive Mechanics. After taking it in I received a call that the repair would be $500, $260 for the part and $240 for diagnostics and labor. I literally laughed on the phone because I said the was ridiculously over-priced for the part. I asked if I could bring in my own part. They replied that if brought in my own part then the cost of labor would go up. I asked why but received no satisfactory response. In the end I did take in my own part, which cost $100 versus their quoted $260, but then labor went up to $300. I saved $100 over their initial quote but I would never recommend or use them again. They will get you coming and going.

I took my van in because it was having issues once I hit 45 mph and to get my safety and emissions done. They changed my rear brakes, calipers, 8 plugs, boots and more for a great price. My van is running better than it ever has. Its CNG and has more power than before. I highly recommend Jeremy and his staff for any mechanical needs. I will be back.

Im not one to write a review but just want to say, Not happy. Its been over 6 months since i took my truck in to check the Check Engine light and left with a shaking truck. My tires were effected by their poor labor. Nice guys but i wish they wouldve given me better customer service.

Did a great diagnoses on my 4runner. Tested multiple things to insure other damage hadnt occurred and got me fixed in a timely matter so I could continue my long commutes to work. Will take my vehicle here for now on.

Kind of an odd location, but the staff is really helpful and honest. They work quickly and dont push you to do any repairs you dont need.

I have been forced to keep my vehicle here thru two different service managers that the company blamed for all there problems, I was very frustrated and thought I would give them the benefit of seeing if that was the case and found that they are very dishonest, they told me they would finance my bill and that they could rebuild my motor and I would have plenty of power to pull a trailer..So I had this done along with so many other items, too long to list...My engine gets 2 miles to the gallon on gas, the vehicle actually goes slower and has less power than it had when I took it there, they say all this will change after breaking in the motor, not true!This place is a nightmare, I am stuck with them because I want the job done right, its that or walk away and loose a lot of money already payed..They build up your bill leading you to believe they are financing you even taking payments then turn around and tell you they dont do payments and that there employees lies and that you need to pay in full to get your vehicle after they have racked up the bill into thousands..I went to pick up my vehicle one time out of the many and found that they had gone thru all the paperwork in my vehicle, every piece..Police cant even do that without your permission or a warrant but they seem to think they can do whatever they want...I could go on and on..If I can tell you anything that might help keep you from experiencing what I have I hope I have,......This place is terrible, I have never had a business stress me out so bad...Worst place ever to take your vehicle, very dishonest and you cant trust there people even though family owned to do the right thing..CARMA!

I am very impressed with this shop, everyone is extremely professional, kind and honest. Brandon, Sam and Austin were extremely sharp, I will happily refer my friends and family to Experianced Automotive in Kaysville.

Dont live in area. While we were looking forfa place to eat in Kaysville before going to the Lagoon. My car over heated. I was able to limp it not even a block from their shop with my mom and my 7 year old son and my 3 year old daughter in the car. They told me even if they could get the car to the shop that they couldnt work in it until the next day. They never even offered to come even look to see what it could be. They just left us on the side of the road.

Just so you don’t fall into the same trap I did, they charge $90 an hour for diagnostics on cars, though they will not mention that fact at any time until you go to pay. They charged me over $200, and didn’t get back to me for several days. Don’t go here unless you like spending money for nothing, and also like waiting to know that your car is very broken.
