I was a customer for years but I no longer use this office. Ive never felt more unwelcome anywhere. I absolutely felt that I didnt belong in that office. I was treated like a contaminate. I understand taking precautions regarding COVID and happily comply anywhere I go but what this office puts you through is overboard... that being said I was still prepared to observe their requirements. I went to look at the frames they have hanging on the wall and was told by the woman at the front desk, Its okay if you try on the frames but youll need to set them aside so we can sterilize them later. I was told this after masking up, waiting to be let in through the locked door, the required hand sanitizer and temperature check .. I felt like my presence there was merely being tolerated.

Dr. La is the best. She is very thorough with your eye exam. She then explains (in plain English) what tests she has done and the results of all the tests. She also answers any questions you might have. The office staff and her assistants are friendly, caring and genuinely nice. The Bakers are blessed to have them. Baker Family Eyecare is the best place I have ever had the privilege to do business with regarding my eyes.

Dr. James Baker is one of the best eye doctors in the mid-cities area. His professional staff always greets us with a big smile, accepts almost all insurance plans, and checks you in right away. Being a veteran himself, Dr. Baker is quite pragmatic in his approach and doesnt push for eye glasses, if there is no need.

My family has been going to Dr. Baker & Dr. La almost 10 years now. They are extremely friendly, helpful, family friendly & professional. All 3 of my children had their first eye exams with Dr. La and they are always excited to see her & get their eyes checked. I recommend them to all of my friends when given the opportunity.

Very welcoming & skilled staff. They remember us, even though we only see them once a year. SATURDAY HOURS are a great service!

I have been going to them for several years and even though weve both changed addresses, I still go back year after year. I dont trust anyone else with my vision!
