Doctor Dugan was fun and caring. Easy going and trust worthy. I’ve been in the optical business for a decade and she still exceeded my expectations. Great job team!!!

I love this place so much!!! I should have written this review years ago..Everything about this place is amazing. Dr Dugas and the staff are so sweet and knowledgeable. I always look forward to going there to pick out new glasses, sunglasses, contacts or just for an exam. Highly Recommend!!!!!

I absolutely love Dr. Dugas, but the office is terrible. It’s raining and there is a ton of construction getting to this office. All lights were out on 170 and I arrived 6 mins after my appointment time. I had to reschedule. Customer service is not the priority. The glasses are overpriced and the contacts. I love the Dr but hate the way you’re treated.

Update: Their corporate center team were diligent to contact us, hear out the concerns and apologetic about the situation. They also provided the agreeable solution and promised to look into the issue to avoid any future situationsWe got kid eye exam recently at this location and got a bad experience in terms of cost of the exam so want to alert everyone for same.Last year we did the eye exam and it just costed the copay for $10 but this year tech took the retina pictures and doctor said no dilation is required. After exam they mentioned bill of $49 ($10 + $39) for the pictures). When asking for details Frontdesk person said pictures are never covered and you have to pay $49 today itself. He said their was choice of pupil dilation vs. Pictures but important point is they never took consent for pictures or informed us before exam.I don’t have anything against Doctor as Dr. Dugan is very nice,caring and knowledgeable but it seems this office started wrong practice of overcharging which was not the case last year so be careful with same.

Fast and Friendly!!Im not much of a reviewer, but my experience today was exceptional. I am a public school teacher who was feeling very negative and fogged up behind some old glasses. The last thing I wanted to do was take time out to schedule an eye exam, but the staff at First Eye Care made the extra step worth the effort. Dr. Dugas is angel and Lisa at reception a gift. I was in and out with better vision and more knowledge about my eye health in no time. Thank you so much!!

Dr. Dugas is really great, especially my kids. Their office on the other hand is absolutely terrible. This is now multiple times they haven’t notified us that our glasses are ready. I have been calling and leaving messages with the answering service. I ask the answering service why I’m not getting a call back. They say they don’t know. Well, I drove up to the office and there’s a sign on the door that says they’re closed all week for staff training. Why would the answering service not know this?? They just let me get frustrated because there’s no communication. Common sense on how to treat customers is lost on them. Not to mention the guy who fits people for glasses told my son he is rude because he wouldn’t look him in the eye. My son is on the Autism spectrum, so maybe have a little bit of awareness about how kids on the spectrum might not be comfortable looking a stranger in the eye.*Edit: received a call right after I left this review. They opened just for us to go get mine and my son’s glasses. We show up only to find that my glasses were there, however my son’s glasses were broken at their lab. NO ONE ever told me about this. They’ve had his glasses for THREE weeks. So now we continue to wait for a new pair of glasses, that I’m sure I will have to continue to call about. Save your time, go somewhere else.

The doc is awesome. I just pulled up to get the wife’s and my glasses. And they are closed. Please update your hours on the site. Headed out of town and planned this too based on the sites times. My bad I guess.

Dr Degas is one of the very best optometrists I have ever had in my long history with glasses and contacts. She is very knowledgeable, professional, and very thorough with diagnostic exams. She genuinely cares about her patients. She is enthusiastic and has a great personality.The staff that works there with her are very friendly and very helpful.

Highly recommend. The place was very clean and organized. The staff was professional, efficient, and helpful. Nice group of ladies.The doctor was engaging, she explained everything thoroughly and showed that she is very knowledgeable in her field.One quality that stood out was that she genuinely cares about her patients and that to me is very important now a days.

Just a heads up...This place tried to scam us by upselling on contacts we did not need and giving false information in order to do so. They have very bad customer service I had called in to speak to the manager and was told they were busy and I would receive a call back and im not surprised I have recieved no call back. If you do go in for convenience sake watch out for a associate named lisa she is a crafty one!

My first time ever at an eye care facility. I never needed to but as I have aged my vision has become blurry when reading up close. I was treated great throughout the process and everything was explained as I walked through all the steps.I have been blessed with great vision all my life but now as I have grown older I took steps to see if the vision is a serious issue or if its simply life catching up to me. The Optometrist explained the blurred vision is normal and eased my worries.They recommended glasses so I went ahead and purchased a pair for reading. I was assisted through the process and found a nice pair.Quality service all the way around. Very happy.

Amazing service all the way around. Easy to make appointment, verify insurance and paperwork. During the appointment, the provider was more than thorough in the exam. Discussion of the benefits and finding the right frames, with assistance of the staff, made the experience even better. In all of the places I have been in the past, I have never had such thorough and accommodating service !!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! I have finally found the facility and provider I will call my “home for eye care!”

Great customer service. The ladies up front went out of the way to get me in and also schedule an appointment with a primary doctor (I don’t have one and probably should). Dr Brooke was knowledgeable and caring. I have to say she has a lot of energy. I’m not a fan of doctors, sorry, just how I am. However this was a great experience. Thanks to the Doc and her staff. I highly recommend.

Will never go back! Paid not to have eyes dilated. Dr. did anyway. Hard to drive after that. Was charged a new patient fee even though I had been there when other Dr. owned business. Was not told new Dr . till after appointment. Rude staff.

Having been a patient of Dr. Craig Hughes for a number of years at their Hurst location, I decided to move to the Woodland Springs location as live in this subdivision. I can say job well done in adding Dr Dugas to your staff. She was very pleasant, thorough in her exam, and explained my condition very well. I would highly recommend her for your eyecare needs.

I love this place! Great staff, that care for you like family. They get you in and out in a quickly manner. Dr. Dugas is the sweetest person in the world, and I would trust her care to my youngest daughter (shes two). I had the best experience with her getting my eyes dilated for the first time. She was patient, kind and made me laugh while I was a nervous wreck. I am thankful for this family oriented eye clinic.

All they care about is money and not the patient. Really sad when people take advantage of a young woman. I was supposed to be charged $30 for contacts but paid $278 because I got “medical” advice on a bump growing by my eyelid. She did nothing to the bump other than give me her opinion. And I had to pay $250 for that opinion.

Dr. Welding and her staff are very caring and professional. I have been coming to her for my eye care for several years and will not go anywhere else. A+ office!!!!! She is very thorough and explains everything in terms that I can understand. Her office staff is very knowledgeable of my options with my insurance. I highly recommend Woodland Springs.

This eye clinic has the most friendly, caring staff. I have a difficult prescription, but Dr. Dugas took the time to make sure I could actually see with the best vision possible, something other eye doctors have not done. This was my second visit to First Eye Care in Woodland Springs and I continue to be impressed. When I checked in, I mentioned what I was looking for in new glasses and a staff member pulled possibilities while I was having my exam. Dr. Dugas was thorough with the eye exam, determining exactly what changes were needed to get my prescription just right. Im looking forward to picking up my new glasses in 7-10 days.

Doctors are good. Receptionist is abysmal. Would not let us have the contact prescription unless we ordered through them. Charged us a contact fitting fee because we were new to their office but new to contacts. Wish we could have stayed with the docs but I am not going to be over charged and refused my diagnosis records.

Outstanding personalized care from a Doctor that cares.

The eye care for my son was fine. He failed the eye test for his drivers permit so we went and found out he needs glasses. I just want to give other parents (especially those with kids on the autism spectrum) that Dr. Dugas gives minors a mental health quiz without any real assistance or plan of action if they indicate they are depressed or suicidal. Our son is high functioning autistic and does struggle with depression, but he also has learned how to use it as a weapon against us when he doesnt want to do something. He marked the lowest (most suicidal) option for every question on her test, which he did because he didnt want to visit his relatives in East TX. We were completely left on our own for what to do with this information.Since we had to treat this like he was serious, this resulted in us being forced to call the police (he doesnt like to leave the house, he is 16 and over 6ft tall) and checking him into a mental health facility for 4 days.Every health professional we talked to asked why this Eye Doctor was giving out mental health tests for no reason? We are still unclear.

HORRIBLE customer service at this place! I had an appointment time scheduled 45 minutes after my husband, back to back appointments. Finally almost 30 minutes past my appointment time they told me they had put someone ahead of me (KNOWING FULL WELL that we were there with our 2 year old) and then the receptionist says, Oh wait, we actually put two people ahead of you. They admitted my appointment WAS scheduled for the correct time but didnt care. They were not going to see me until they were done with other patients first. This place is awful, do not go there. The staff is rude, unprofessional and to top it all off, their selection of glasses is EXTREMELY limited. Go elsewhere!!!!!
