Our local Safeway is really awesome. The isles are always clean, shelves are always stocked. We have very decent folks who offer great customer service! One thing I really appreciate is the fact that if you sign up for their rewards card (free) you earn points to get money off of your gas! ⛽️ This has ended up saving us so much money! It is definitely worth shopping here as opposed to Walmart! I also really like the fact that they offer Alaska Grown items. We can actually buy local grown produce and even cheese here. That is something that makes it special is the ability to buy produce that was grown locally and didn’t spend a bunch of time and costs in transportation.

Great hours friendly staff. Everyone is eager to assist from cashier to mgmt. Prices could be lower though.

Discounts pretty good. Prices so high in comparison so rewards come in handy. People at kenai store are funny. Good job. 2 thumbs up

Fresh fruit and vegetables and the general groceries youd expect at a Safeway.

It was different then the ones I am use to in Anchorage but overall they had everything we needed. They had all the prepackaged veggies & fruits that I love buying (all cut up and are ready to cook or eat).

Its Safeway the..... its in there name its the safe way to find what you need

They were so nice the room was clean and quiet.

Always a great selection but they also have the highest prices of all of the grocery stores around here.

Theres basically 4 places to get groceries in town & they all have their percs. Safeway is good to find items on sale. Great place to shop for the fridge and pantry.

My store I prefer to buy meat from. They are a bit more expensive that other places, but they often have the specialty items u can not find elsewhere.

I love this store because the always have everything in stock. I however, wish they would somehow enforce their mandatory mask wearing policy. GCI does it, why cant Carrs? Almost no one wears a mask inside the store.

High prices but clean

Love the store but pharmacy techs are rude and arguementive. Will not be going back to this pharmacy, will continue to fill them at Safeway Pharmacy in Soldotna. (as I have the last 20 yrs!!)

I go to the pharmacy once a month and the pharmacist remembers my name even with a mask. His assistant was who I have only met three times rembered my name.

I was really impressed when this store opened with improvements. There was a notable higher standard. All the easier to see now, as quality has fallen.The coffee area is hit and miss when it comes to cleanliness. Sushi used to be better than at a restaurant, but now the rice is dry... Its clearly aged.The employees are lovely people, most are really friendly! But something went sideways here.

This is my favorite Safeway/Carrs anywhere.The way its put together, it is always clean, very good prices and deals and the entire staff are always friendly and helpful. GREAT STORE.

Its a well managed grocery store

I love Safeway. They are always stocked.

Got all your fish, check. Need ice to get them home, this is the place. Plenty of room in the parking lot to make sure your nets and gear are all tied down for the trip back to Anchorage. Public bathroom is clean enough. Kenai is a smaller town and the people that work here are all nice as you would expect in a smaller town.

Never shopping at Safeway ever again. When did pharmacist become the last say in whether you can have the medication your doctor prescribes? Pretty sure this is illegal, looking for a lawyer tomorrow. Had to give one star to be able to post but they dont deserve it.

Food is terrible at the deli ! Never fresh always dry and the customer service is outrageously horrid !

Outstanding and extremely quick in and out. Good selection of everything. An amazing deli and bakery. 5 out of 5 on everything. Employees that know their sections perfect and a desire to help and refer to other businesses that do provide exactly what I may be looking for.

The Chinese food in the deli looked really bad. Like it had been sitting in the case for a really long time. Some of it was majorly overcooked.

The store usually almost always has what I am in need of or looking for, but to be honest the cashiers could use a little bit more of experience in bagging the groceries because the way they do it is just super sloppy

Quite spendy as far as the competition goes in the area. Generally too few cashiers and the lines get backed up frequently. Convenient for a late night when Fred Meyer is closed.

Twice in the past Ive complain to management at Safeway because they only have one employee at the Starbucks there. Today there was a line eight people deep because theres only one employee at Starbucks. Was going to complain again but obviously it doesnt do any good.

Nice size Safeway with an eclectic deli and Starbucks. I admire the employees politeness and service. I give them a five star🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Dont like the app for getting your coupons.

Safeway is fairly clean food is fresh. The bakery occasionally has the best peanut butter cookies. Some of their baked goods however do not look very appetizing

All the prices are bad and I tried getting batteries there and when I tried them they died immediately

Great cold meats in deli. Decent variety but Wal-Mart has better prices. Some items I can only find at Safeway though, like ham off the bone deli meat, best tasting ham by far.

Getting better, at times a cashier is hard to find at night because they have to stock also, which makes wait times get somewhat long. Very seldom does anyone on night shift ask if you need help finding something, or acknowledging your existance.

Safeway employees are always courteous and helpful. I love the bakery and deli, and the fact that they have a florist on site.Having said that, Safeway has several drawbacks. Many of their aisles have support posts that are too close to the shelves on both sides, making it difficult for a customer who is using an electric cart, and who has a service dog, to pass through.I still havent memorized the organization layout of Safeway. What I can remember of it is that it doesnt make sense to me.Last but not least, Safeways prices are considerably higher than the local Walmart, and the prices at Fred Meyers are generally lower too.

It is very nice at Carrs now that remodel is finished. They have public restrooms and places to sit and have coffee with friends.

I like their selection on a number of things, but I find their prices to be a little less friendly. Very clean, well organized, and staff is friendly. Unless its something no one else has or is liquor related, I tend to go elsewhere bc of prices.

While placing order at the deli, we were deciding and the employee walk away and didnt come back. He was stocking the isle hot case, cooking chicken, and talking to other employee. The other employee finally came to take our order and while taking our order, (mind you Im talking) he turns to a different customer that had just walked up, and helped her.

Re: Sushi.... That was the best sushi from a store deli that I have had, and the lady that made it was so very helpful and friendly.

Deli food is usually pretty good, but usually the deli staff doesnt look very good. Theyre usually sweaty, unkempt looking.

The prices are good, the deals on $5.00 Friday are awesome and the service is attentive. Good place to stop and grab a few things for dinner.

Digital coupons never work correctly. Seems one employee working all of the self checkouts is inadequate when all self checkout machines are in use.

New remodel is good.The veggie section is neat but offers fewer choices.

Seen some worker wiping the air vents with a broom, and swept one of the tables with the same broom. Didnt wipe it down after. Someone would of gotten sick if I hadnt opened my mouth to talk some sense into him... #StarBucksCoffee Diner
