Clean well organized store found more then I intended to get...darn you save a lot

Best Save-a-lot compared to other ones in the buffalo area, everything here is clearly labeled and very well maintained unlike the one on Grant. Cashiers are quick to check you out and everything is well organized if you had a bad experience at other locations come to this one to get the real experience.

They dont clean their carts but they do have stuff to clean and I did get some help. Staff is nice but customers in that neighborhood tend to act entitled. Store is good and staff is nice and helpful.

Good prices, respectful, caring, helpful and professional staff. Although they were out of stock of what I wanted, which can be expected on seasonal items, I will continue to return often as they have decent products. Their produce, meats and fish are top quality at good prices.

Probably stocked better then your local Walmart. They have what your looking for and this location isnt too crowded.

Much have changed since my last visit which was about 3 yrs ago. Nicer modern looks as well as cheaper $$ when compare to Tops.I will be back and highly recommend

Hello...i havent shopped at Save Alot in a long while...maybe since last fall when I had alot if baking and cooking to do for the holidays and many items I can get there for that they carry. So it SAVES me ALOT...LOL. When the stores first opened.....there was one on Ontario St in Buffalo/Riverside neighborhood. It was not looking too good and primarily had only small amount of foods that I cdnt read the labels of these other foods. Unsavory characters hung around outside the store and made it very uncomfortable comfortable trying to shop there. We got nasty looks and those persons would make remarks that were not u destroy but by the looks we got, they werent friendly. Soooooo I avoided that store together and would walk or take a bus to a farther store in a better area of the city. Well...NOW and for a number of yrs I shop the one a few miles from my home(by car), and the SAVE ALOT stores have become friendly in employees and the whole store has come to be one I enjoy shopping at due to the prices of course as well as the items are varied of many nationalities who eat of the foods sold there. I love Spanish foods due to a family and friends of my children at school have invited us over for rice and beans, pastallitos, and more dishes i cant spell nor pronounce ... BUT are very tasty. To expound a bit more....a friends grandparents-in-law invited me a few different times some yrs ago now to their home for a meal. They donot eat small... they passed me a dish and I tool a couple spoonful and I started to pass it to my friend and they started laughing. I thought Id taken too much but the whole dish was for me as well as more that was passed to me.....OMG....I was smothered by so much food!!! Well, they finally understood there was no way Id eat all that in one sitting but I wasnt allowed to leave without the rest of it as they waste not. I dont either, so I happily took it home as it was soooooo delectable. They also pray before the meal which I totally love and afterward as well. Then theres music and dancing and fellowship with the whole group. They dont eat alone either. It was splendid👍. They are so accepting and loving. I went back for a few more visits but then the guy and I broke up. Thats the kind of family gathering thats soooooo awesome. It is a long fun evening. So of course these foods are found elsewhere as well but I wanted to share my memory with you. Asta lawega?(spelling?) 😆 LOLSHOP, COOK, INVITE PEOPLE, FEAST, DANCE, ENJOY THEM, THE FOOD, AND LIFE. Great place to go for everyday food items. They have name brand stuff here priced well below what you would pay at Tops or Wegmans. Staff here is very helpful and considerate. If shopping for a large family or just for yourself this is the place to go to if your trying to save money on your grocery bills. I highly recommend you check this place out you wont be sorry!!!!!!

Hey, you know... Its Save A Lot. Some cheapo generics that are just fine, some that are eh. Name brand here and there. Easy and fast in and out. Clerks efficient and friendly. Its not filthy. But its sure not Wegmans! Secret tip: they only sell one brand of frozen fish filets, I forget the name, 3 varieties, all excellent. Zero grease after baking, which Ive never seen before in any frozen fish. Usually its swimming in yellow goo on the baking pan. This fish is very nice. Sometimes its cool to share a good find but probably now its going to be sold out next time Im there! Save me a box, OK?

I go here almost every day for the most part, cause I always forget something or end up needing something. The workers are AWESOME if you need something they are right there to help The Manger Cindy is one of the best mangers I have ever seen no matter what shes going through at home she doesnt bring it to work and still puts a smile on and willing to help at any moment 😁. I appreciate everything that the workers do.. THANK YOU ALL AT SAVE-A-LOT😄

Cant beat there meat

Went there to purchase one item and purchase more. They have some good bargain.

This store has GREAT meat. I dont know where they are getting it, or if they are cutting it themselves, but it is delicious. Especially the pork! You can fry a pork chop in a frying pan and it tastes like pork used to taste, way way back. Nowadays you can eat pork or chicken and they are both tasteless, but not this pork. I highly recommend this store. Their chips are my favorite (plain, ripple, Dr Huggs) because they actually taste like potatoes. They have really good triple chocolate ice cream. They have good potatoes. Fresh veggies are OK. Great bargains, too!

My wife was in the store today like any other day. When she was at the checkout line, the cashier comment that she likes her purse and in the next breath the cashier ask to see inside cause some other employee said that they thought they seen her take something. She has no problem showing her. It was rude and very inconsiderate to make a bold statement like that, especially to a ordained ministers wife. Just watch yourself in this store.

Typical Save a Lot store, pretty good selection of name brand and store brands, quality is decent. The reason I give it only three stars is because I watched a grown woman treated like a potential criminal. Their bag policy is not right. She had a small backpack, smaller even than a lot of purses. She had expensive stuff in it, and understandably didnt want to leave it up front out of her sight. If I want to be treated like Im automatically going to steal, Ill go to Walmart. Consider revising this policy. Update, 12/6/19 : Prices have risen dramatically across the store. When I asked about this, I was told it was because the minimum wage is rising. Couple of problems wth that. A) it hasnt risen yet. B) other stores like Aldis and Price Rite have not increased their prices to anything near what this store has, and even other Save A Lots are cheaper than this particular store. This is an independently franchised store, and this smacks of greed. Aldis will get my money from now on, they are much cheaper. Example- Saltines at Aldis. $.75. At this store $1.29 I spent $40.00 on staples that usually cost me about $27.00 at Aldis.
