Friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent quality spices. Go for the smells, stay for the spices. (Or more accurately, take them home with you!)

Employees were helpful with spice knowledge, but I’m giving this business 1-star for a mask mandate requirement to shop. Signs are posted as of August 2021 that masks are required and if you enter without a mask, a mask will be forced upon you by the employees. Would be 4 or 5 stars otherwise.

The best kind of place. Nice shop filled with nice, helpful people. My go to for all my spices. The only vanilla I use.

Love this place. I get my favorite spices here. Bi-Centenial, Chicago Seasonings, Corn Beef seasoning, English Prime Rib Rub, Florida & Lemon Pepper, Pork Chop & Taco Seasonings. The list goes on.

I love Penzeys. I love that I can find the spices I need for international dishes like curries and masalas. Plus, they tend to have great offers. Just the other day my mom and I bought a large garam masala and got two smaller spices for free along with a free sampling of the Tzars spice. Cant wait to give it a try in making my peroshkies. I especially love the smell of all the spices when you first walk in. Though with the pandemic ongoing, they are putting our safety first so you can only order online or call to order and pick up outside the store for now. Which I think is pretty nifty and safe for us and for them.

The herbs and spices are high quality. I miss shopping in person so I can smell the samples.

They only have curb side pick up. I didnt know, but it was fine because the phone number was on the sign. You just call and tell them what youd like. So if you arent sure what you came for then it could be a problem, but Im sure theyd help you.

I am never disappointed. It smells wonderful and always perfectly organized. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I can find what I am looking for right away but always spend more time looking around and smelling more things then I intend to. Also if you sign up for their emails you can get free spices and other goodies and great deals.

Really good spice store. They have a very large selection of individual slices as well as their own mixes. Most come in several sizes. They sell empty jars, also. So, you can even fill out your cabinet with your own mixes. I was happy to find ground fenugreek there. I saw several spices there that I usually only see at specialty markets.

Love this store. The quality of the spices is the best. As you shop the spices they have sample jars that you can open to smell. There are several types of cinnamon and its amazing how different they all are. (And how much better they are from the supermarket brands.) Yes, you will probably spend more than you expected here but you truly get what you pay for.They also have spices packaged in gift boxes. The boxes have different themes - for the baker, for grilling, etc. They are also at a variety of price points. These sets are great for gifts. Small boxes for teacher gifts, larger boxes for a shower or wedding gift. And Christmas of course.

Best, freshest spices, a true gem of a store for both home cooks and experienced chef.Also has a great web site with recipes for the best use of your spices. We all know that spices get stale after time. Just how long has that canned or jarred spice in the grocery store been on the shelf? I will bet no one in the store knows or even cares. At Penzeys they can tell you when they put them up on the shelf.

This is such a friendly place to buy all the spices and flavors I want need or have yet to learn about. The staff is always helpful and knowledgeable. The cake spice has been my favorite this holiday season....its even great in my coffee with or without cream.

If you havent, go get some spices. Sign up for their email list, and about once a month they have a free spice give away of some sorts. Most of them are truly free spices, without the requirement of buying something. They have a good number of employees willing to assist with selecting a spice or herb for your needs, and every spice has a tester jar next to it you can smell from. Do yourself a favor and flavor up your foods.

I really loved this place until I received impeachment days promotion. I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place instead of encourage people to go there. I am just sorry that I already bought an Xmas gift from there. Shame on you for posting your own political views in your promotion. Using your influence to force me to read your garbage when all I want to do is buy a spice. I really do not like the Penzeys at Kenosha number one its hard to find number to or stuff is so spread out you have to walk the whole store for X to find what you want I prefer going to the Penzeys in Greenfield its much easier to find and they have everything in alphabetical order and its easy to purchase I try hardly to go to the one in Kenosha Ive only been there twice and only if Im in Kenosha will I go there otherwise I will go to the other one
