We were looking for this specific vehicle for a while and finally found one here. Unfortunately the previous one we were looking into was sold. I was notified that there was another vehicle in and when we went to take a look at it, it was in service and we could not take it for a test drive. While my boyfriend did ask what was done to the car the service tech listed everything that was brand new and mentioned a blow off valve. Which we thought ok the mechanics part about it sound good. We did start up the car and i did mention that the smell of the exhaust was strong and it was a concern. I asked when the oil was changed and they mentioned it was recently and was also told it was because we were in a building. We decided to get the car and the first day we picked it up and drove into town the TPS light came on. So we went to put air in the tires and check the pressure for all four tires. The light still did not turn off and this was on the FIRST day of having the car… after having the car for 5 days the check engine light comes on. We took it in to get it diagnosed and found out that there is an aftermarket exhaust system and that it needs a cobb accessport and tuning which will be about $720 for the part not including labor fees. Now all we asked was is it possible to sell back the car? Even if it’s lower than what we financed? Which was a no go and can understand. My boyfriend however asked that because we were unaware that there was an aftermarket exhaust system can we just pay for the part and not be charged the labor fees seeing as though we only drove it a total of 4 times since we’ve got it. It seems like our request was impossible to accomplish so we decided nevermind there’s no point.Lesson learned maybe we should’ve test drove the car first but seeing as though we were looking for this specific type of model for a while and due to the pandemic we didn’t know when we would get an opportunity like this again. We decided to trust these guys and get it. Dont get me wrong they were cool nice people but when it came to our problems and finding a simple solution it just was not happening and felt like we were being passed from one to the other. I like the friendly vibes but i dont think I’ll be recommending kihei auto or looking for another vehicle from them for a while.

Ive tried to shop here 2 times in the last 5 months, both times I dealt with Ben. The first time it was a typical used car salesman attitude, trying to get me sign some paper before I even saw numbers and just weird deceptive like things. My second encounter I was super interested in a truck so when we were checking it out, I noticed the tires were really torn and there were cob webs everywhere, so I asked him about it and he asks me Are you having a bad day? RUDE. As the buyer, dropping MY money, shouldnt I be allowed to say and ask anything I want? After that comment I immediately walked off that lot and I will never go back. Additionally I will and have already told people about this experience and will discourage them from going here and being taken advantage of like a typical used car lot.

Only one ding for not so pleasant interaction with finance guy. Otherwise, highly recommended.

The dealership operated pretty flawlessly, with an immediate greeting from Ben Short when I arrived, and all through the whole process of trade in and vehicle acquisition. Maybe I could have been more aggressive in negotiating the deal and got a lower price, but there was no pressure brought to bear, and I got what I deserved. Im happy with the new car, and it appears to be just as they described.

Friendly, and very helpful sales staff with a very proficient finance department.particularly when presented with a client who shows questionable credit. The entire process took less than 36 hours once a go ahead was given by the buyer, and even then a better deal was perused and offered as the end result. If Kihei Auto Sales has/or can get a vehicle to your liking I highly recommend Kihei Auto Sales and I will go there when next/if I am in the market for a used car again. Be advised to park on the street near them as the lot maneuvering can be a bit tricky.

They have a great selection. I went looking for an affordable second car and I was pleasantly treated like a friend not a walking dollar sign by the salesman (Frank).
