Scam and Theft watch!I would never recommend anyone take their vehicle to Maui Tech Auto in Kihei1. They stole my BMW battery and replaced it with an Optima. The BMW battery is specifically designed to match my needs, however the Optima battery nearly damaged my car and it doesnt fit. Theres a cover thats supposed to go above the battery but it couldnt fit on top. They also wrapped up my battery shielding and placed it on the side thinking it wont rattle and I wont notice.2. They broke my driver side post to my door trying to gain entry into my car. If the right battery was on there you could have used the key.3. They drove my vehicle with no air in the tires, unto the tow truck, ultimately destroying my back bumper, and scraping up my exhaust as it was trying to get into the tow truck.4. My windows were opened as they promised the car would remain safe of their property, broken promises are left and right with these guys5. They held off on giving me an estimate on my vehicle as they stole my parts, and replaced them with items that dont belong.6. On top of that Im missing expensive shielding to the undercarriage of my vehicle.Theyve given no response back and I eventually gave up trying. Left many voicemails, but all went unanswered.Reports have been filed with MPD/ Rico/ and BBB and my insurance company.
Honest techs! Specializing in all makes and models of vehicles!
Friendly and helpful, good communication. I will return.
Relying on box trucks for my company, Desiree has been super helpful in meeting my box truck needs and being thorough, helpful and proactive. I feel there is understanding here on how important commercial vehicles are to companies. In my opinion the knowledge, communication, time and organization skill set here in my expirience, is on point, A+, which is hard to find on Maui as many know.
Best car repair on island. Great customer service, so very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. 5 star all the way.
The people at Maui Tech are terrific: talented, hardworking, honest and reliable. They have kept my older cars running well for over a decade. I really appreciate their service because I was ready to sell my 1994 BMW because of the repair costs. Its running like new. Its great not having car payments :)
Had my clutch replaced on a 2007 Nissan Versa a while back. Great technicians! Had me in and out on time and car works great. Honest and timely work here at this shop. They will continue to get my business.
Maui Tech Auto Repair has provided great service to our family. I have always been provided quality service for my XC90 . My mom moved to Maui with her VOLVO and the crew at Maui Tech Auto have provided top rate friendly service for her. It is nice to know that this family owned local business is there to take care of my family car needs.
Great service in a timely manner. Clean and neat presentable garage. Would return when needed. Highly recommend.
Great bunch of guys. Fast service. Reasonably priced
1) Asked for Oil change. Normally they check fluids, filters etc and give the customer a complete form with suggestions. Here I was told that would be extra and I just got the Oil change with no feedback. $772) Asked to have Undercarriage checked and screws tightened since the car had been run into a grass-tree field which stopped the car. I had to take the car back since the undercarriage was still loose toward the back of the car.Charge $55 and I did not have to pay for the second visit. Both items were done with minimal effort and it appears that the lead technician is not on site most of the day.3) I asked to have the shop tell me what else they noticed that I should pay attention to. (At my previous oil change place they did that routinely without charge). Here I was billed $137.50 for what they called aComplete one over. I was told to have the Valve Cover Gasket replaced and replace tie rods soon.4) When I arrived for my appointment at 7 AM nobody was there. The place appears to operate without any structure and organization.Bottom line: A VERY UNPROFESSIONAL PLACE.
I had them change the the glow plugs and asked them to keep the old ones. When I showed up they said, sorry, mechanic must have tossed them. I wonder if they bothered to change them. The Mercedes dealer pointed out they failed to reconnect the engine bay jump post - which is very dangerous.Their prices are about the same as the dealer. The dealers technicians are experts on Mercedes - these guys are not and dont work on many.
Very rude & nasty attitude just had a couple of questions the lady hang up on me.When I called back and asked to speak to the manager she informed me she was . So then asked for the owners name was hung up on again..If this is how act towards a call .I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS. NEVER
My car was in need of repair, so I gave Maui Tech Auto Repair a shot at fixing it and I am very glad I did. They gave me a quote as to what it would cost and it was very accurate. They were very knowledge about the issue, called me as soon as it was done, (the same day) and my vechicle never has ran better. Please give the guys at Maui Tech Auto Repair a chance to work on all your autos. You will be very glad you did.
Maui Tech Auto Repair Review, absolutely terrible and unethical business practices. Picked up the car that was spotlessly clean inside to find that the door, floor mats and seat were covered with grease and dirt. When backing car out of their lot they put a huge scratch down the front quarter panel of my Mercedes and then refused to take any responsibility or pay for it. They may be cheap but I would absolutely never recommend their services and definitely not worth in a small cost savings.
They gave me professional customer service with fast and speedy turnaround on my vehicle. The price was comfortable and clearly explained, they earned the 5 stars ratings.
Do not take your vehicle to this place. I had my vehicle towed there a couple days ago because it would not start. They lied to me and told me the head gasket was blowed. It would take $5000.00 to repair. I had the car towed to a different repair shop. It turn out to be a bad battery and the oil pan gasket. I paid $1200.00 and Im back on the road.
My time started out good with this shop, but declined when I tried discussing my service records and a still-leaking gasket after repair. Too bad we couldnt have a conversation on the phone together, I guess Ill have to chat with Ariel in person. At least hell allow me to finish a sentence.
Best auto repair service I have ever experienced . Professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and very reasonable . They have my business for life . True Aloha .
We havent even taken our poor old 1940s 3M transparency maker in for possible repair yet, but the phone service I got from Paolo was so terrific Im posting this ahead of time. No guarantees they can fix this, but I have faith!
Unreliable estimates, rarely do you pay what was agreed upon also if they dont complete work you requested they will recharge the labor fee again, just to fix the thing they forgot to do.they are the only mechanic I have ever worked with who keep the diagnostic fee separate even if you get the work done, most roll diagnostics into the labor charges.a few years ago I had trouble with my bug, and these guys saved my hide, Im sad to leave them.
They gave me a quote on replacing my convertible Top which was $500 less than a competitor and stood behind it even though it took them longer than anticipated. Very friendly and hospitable.
Fast friendly service but hidden $80 diagnostic fee was a surprise when i had work done on my car.
Excellent and honest European car shop.
WARNING SCAMMERS Avoid. Reviews are fake. These guys are thieves and liars and will steal your money and leave you unsafe, do yourself a favour and avoid them.
I was told to drop my vehicle off at 8:30 a.m. and that they would call when the new alternator I purchased and brought in with me was finished being installed. I sat at a local coffee shop, waiting for a call. I finally returned at 3:45 to see if it was ready. My truck was parked on the street, windows down, new alternator still sitting on the seat and keys laying on the floor. Anyone could have walked up got in and driven away. I asked the office woman if the truck was ready. She smiled and said no, were down a mechanic today. I told her the same thing had happened last time when I got a new battery installed...waited all day 8 to 5. She asked if I wanted to wait longer to see if theyd get to it. I declined. I need my truck for work. I already missed one day...cant afford to miss another or another or have someone steal my truck while it sits on the street. You lost a solid customer today. And the office lady just grinned in my face the whole time.
Great service!
