On my way up 85, on a 12 hour drive, I got a puncture. Stopped at a major tire chain, and when I asked if they could quickly get me back on the road, they said it wouldn’t be quick.I headed up the road a bit to Butler’s, and they immediately got to work trying to help. And when I say “immediately”, I mean I hadn’t finished my sentence to the receptionist before someone jumped up and walked me back to my car to take a look. After it became clear a patch wouldn’t do, they found a used tire that fit, balanced and put it on. This, with all the service bays full - they were busy that day, and pulled someone off a job just to get me taken care of.So far, great service. But when it came time to pay, they wouldn’t take my money! We argued, politely, and they said they wouldn’t charge me for the tire, just the service. Even then it was difficult to pay them what it was worth for getting me back on the road so quickly.These folks are good people who saved me a longer drive, and did it graciously. The tire got us home safely, and is still going strong. I can’t say enough good things about the people at Butler. Thank you again!

Always had no problems with receiving service in a time matter and from very knowledgeable people. However not the case today! My car was taken there 5 days ago and I told them I probably needed a battery or started. 5 days later I’m calling and begging for service. Jackie went above and beyond to help me get a battery in my car! Brand new building, front office personal has gone from competent knowledgeable and customer service oriented to totally clueless!! 2 visits ago it was 13 days to change a fuse! If this is now the norm I may have to take my business elsewhere, sadly.

I sent my car here thinking it wouldnt take that long and it ended up taking 2 weeks and when I eventually had it taken somewhere else even they could tell they did nothing except cause more problems. That environment was very hostile and it felt like it might have been discriminative. Their customer service is atrocious and I have never been talked to the way they talked to me since I was a child. If I am being honest save your money and go somewhere else all they caused were more problems and drama. Would not recommend not even to people I dont like.

Just had 5 new tires installed on my Jeep for a much better price than everyone else. The tires look great and have no vibrations, so the balancing is perfect. They also picked it up from my work (close to their shop) and brought it back for me. I highly recommend them for their professionalism and amazing pricing.

They put a new transmission in my mazda and gave me a good price. Anytime I tell someone it was only 2k and give them my car info they are amazed.

They are the most friendly and accurate place to get all your car needs! The guy over the shop fixed my bumper for absolutely free after I had been quoted 300 dollars by other shops! Basically just to tighten up a bolt.... So kindness goes a long way with me! I went back the next morning and let Butlers do my brakes and spent some money with them! Honestly this place is an awesome place to go for all your car care needs and they arent trying to drain your pockets... Thanks to the Butler Crew

Had a flat tire and took it in to see if it could be patched/plugged. They were able to get me in and out in about an hour. Service was awesome and cost was reasonable. Employees were friendly and professional!

While they were repairing my transmission, which they did a great job of, my car was damaged. While they eventually did fix it, they tried to pay only for parts, not paint or installation. They do good work, but Ill be going elsewhere from now on. Customer service and taking responsibility is too important to ignore.

Wife damaged tire and drove to Butler’s. They put spare tire on and refused payment! We ordered replacement of all 4 tires thru Butler’s and they were picked up in Charlotte and installed on our truck the same day! Did I mention that the price was much, much lower than other discount tire shops! New building and excellent service! I will be back........

Not having good results so far. Had appt to drop my Jeep off at 900 on Monday, its 5 oclick pm on Wednesday. Called and they acted like they had no idea why it was there. Even left a message on Monday what needed to be looked at along with talking on Friday telling them while making my appt.update. fixed and very pleased

Good friendly people good service had to wait a little while but they were two men short but worth the wait.

I brought my car in for noise and had a motor mount replaced at a competitive price. It didn’t solve the noise but they were happy to drag the car back in to try and solve it. There a bit busy but that’s clearly a sign of great service. They are worth the wait. They do quality work in a timely manner and are willing to go an extra mile for customer satisfaction. Tony and his staff are examples of how a shop should be run.

I got new tires and an alignment for about half the price everyone else was asking. After a small hiccup, I also got my brakes done there and the owner outdid himself making sure I was satisfied before I left. Always talk to them if you have questions or concerns, because they are willing to listen and negotiate.

Bryan Butler was so nice and helpful even though it was closing time. He still helped me. His staff have left but he even took time to personally change my tire although it ran past closing time.

My right brake light was out on a road trip and a kind gentleman fixed it on short notice, so we could safely get back on the road home. The price also was more than fair. I recommend them highly! Thank you for the great experience.

Broke my lug nut off and never said anything to me. Took over an hour to change one tire. Plus crushed my frame on the jeep because the guy didnt look before he jacked it up.

Been going to Butlers Auto for many years with many different vehicles; the mechanics there are very good and it is the best place in Kings Mountain by far to have your car serviced. Reasonably priced and always good, honest, quality work.

After trying to tell me my check engine light was on because I needed an oil change i made them look at it again. My maintenance light was on for that but it comes on at 3k and I run synthetic so I know that wasnt it. I should have just gone and picked my truck up then. After keeping it over night I get a call the next day saying it was POSSIBLY the ECM an $800 repair but if that didnt fix the issue it was POSSIBLY a camshaft timing issue and could be a $2500 repair after paying the $800. So I was looking at a $100 oil change or a $3,300 repair. I could have googled all of that as nothing they told me was useful in ANYWAY as it didnt diagnose my problem or even tell me what kind of relative cost I was looking at! Then I was charged $50 for then to deduce all of that! I could have given my own guess and not paid $50 bucks to do it either! If you need anything more than an oil/tire/fluid change go somewhere else! I dont know what their tech certification requirements are but Im thinking about applying. I could guess at mechanical issues all day too. What a joke! I promise I wont be back up the there nor will. any of my friends and family.

Pretty great company, had my car for almost a month. I have a Volkswagen Jetta so parts take forever to come. But they have been great trying to fix my car and they went out of their way to fix my cars such as my bumper and different things in my car that I’m thankful for. I highly recommend. I don’t do much reviews but these people deserves one

Mr. Butler is a good man, has always fixed my vehicles and serviced them well and ensured that I was satisfied and informed about what my vehicles needed when they needed more than just the regular servicing. I know people say you cannot trust some professions, but I have trusted Mr. Butler and his people and they have never in the years let me down. I notice when I am there that he treats the least among us as well as the better place persons who use his business services. When one observes true attempts to do right in an owner of a business, that is a rarity in America.

Mr butler is a nice guy and a good business man who employs some decent mechanics prices are not terrible. The only reason he didnt get 5 stars is not because of the work but the prices could be a little cheaper. Expect most repairs to be 90-100 $ an hour which is an average price .

Got me in and out today with a Alternator replacement, and was reasonably priced.

Everyone very helpful and prices comparable, not over priced. I would highly recommend this business for any automotive needs.

Was traveling from Atlanta back to Charlotte and a problem occurred with my radiator. I pulled over in Kings Mountain and happened to stumble across Butlers and they welcomed me with open arms. They immediately admitted my vehicle and tried to repair the issue. The mechanics even stayed past closing to make sure everything was efficient with my vehicle before I got back on the road. I would definitely recommend Butlers Auto to anyone who wants speedy, inexpensive, and quality service done to their vehicles.

I got my car towed up to Butler auto they kept my car for a week and some days when I had to get my car towed back to my house because Butler auto did not fix it when I got my car towed back to my house my brake line was busted and the tow truck driver let me know when he put it on the tow truck bed it was leaking right fluid when it was picked up it was not like that there was nothing wrong with my brake line it also when the tow truck driver picked up my car to get it towed to Butler auto I had a half a tank full of gas when I get my car back after getting it towed back to the house my gas gauge was on empty

Our car broke down on I-85 at 10:30 pm at the end of a holiday weekend over 100 miles from home. The tow truck knew of this place, so he brought the car here and took us to a hotel. The next morning we called and they were already about to look at it. By the time we had breakfast and walked to the shop, he had finished the repair and we were able to get on our way quickly. The rates were reasonable and they didnt try to do anything extra to the car. I wish we had a shop like this closer to home!

Anyone who has put a positive review on here either has to be buddies with the owner or staff or must really have had horrible service in the past to think that this place deserves any stars. Owner and staff rude, inexperienced, and scammish. Took 2 of my vehicles to this shop because they offer diagnosis for free but with both cars ended up with more wrong than fixed after repairs. Had to have car towed from their shop to another shop because they tell me they do not know how to fix. One of their staff members told me “you don’t want them working on your car anyway” and gave me a referral to a different shop. Complete misdiagnosis on both cars. One car they told me I needed to but a new transmission for 2 grand, ended up just being coil pack kit that was less than $300 including labor.

Friendly staff and professional services

Went in for a simple vehicle inspection. Waited for nearly an hour. Nobody informed me the inspection was done until some lady saw my ticket just laying on the counter, I asked where the keys where and she couldnt find them. They left them in the car out in the parking lot where anybody could have taken it, except the whole time I had been waiting they left the key on and all the electronics were running. Needless to say when I went to crank the car it would not start, then they said I might have a bad battery, even though it had started up fine in the cold morning.I would not bring your vehicle here for any reason.Rude staff. Place smells.The whole place is filled with people Im sure voted for Trump

HORRIBLE do not trust these reveiws i did and its costing me!!! towed my car here and he told me he would get to it right away 4 days go by and he told me everyday he was about to look at it but never did... then without even really looking at it he told me he thinks its the transmission... i know it is not my transmission cause my transmission is in great condition... called another shop explained what was wrong with it and he knew without even looking at it and said he was supposed to be off that friday and saturday and told me he would work them so i can get my car back asap now that is great customer service!!! so i towed it yet again to another shop... it ended up being a sensor!!! And this man was telling me there was something really bad wrong with it and had me worried about my transmission... very shady and obviously lazy if anyone has went here and had excellent service then your lucky and i guess its hit or miss with this place but i wouldnt take the chance cause you may end up like me a week without a car and paying twice for a tow truck for a simple fix.
