Mike Parker was a huge help with purchasing my new vehicle. I had inquired about a 2017 Honda Civic on cars.com first, and I was quickly contacted by Weston. Weston answered the questions I had, and setup an appointment for me to come in the same day and do a test drive. Mike was quick to let me test drive the vehicle. He also gave me another option with a slightly cheaper price tag which I appreciated, but I ended up with the Honda. Its a great car so far with a fair price, and it was a great experience overall would recommend!
Purchasing a car out of state couldn’t have gone any worse for me..Monday June 14th.. I worked directly with the General Sales Manager, Mike Fraysier. He was very helpful and communicative with sending photos and videos of a 2014 VW Touareg. During that week he insured me that the car had gone through a thorough inspection. Knowing that this car was at a Porsche dealer, I felt confident they would have serviced and inspected a VW as they should have.So, I booked my flight to purchase the vehicle.Friday June 18th.. I was picked up by Jerry Godsey. Very respectful and I felt like I was being treated with the respect any customer should. Once I arrived at the dealership I was shown the vehicle. This is where things started to take a slight turn. Exterior was clean and appeared as the videos sent. I was the. Told the AC was suddenly not working. The interior of the car was not fully detailed. During the test drive we could tell the tires were not well balanced and there was an issue with the front brakes.The resolution proposed, Mike would have the tires balances. He would also take $1200 off for me to cover the cost of AC repair and front brake replacement. For a local buyer, this seems fair. For someone about to lake a 5 hour drive back to NC, terrible news. It was about 95 degrees that day.Silly me, I thought this would be ok and that no other issues were present.Monday June 21st, within 500 miles the check engine comes on, car is now in limp mode and there is oil splattered all around in the engine bay. Vehicle wears taken to a local mechanic.Saturday June 26th I contacted Mike via text and email with several issues. Including a major oil leak, EGR faults, torn air filter etc. no reply.Tuesday June 29th.. text and called Mike as well as Jerry. No reply to voicemail or text.Wednesday July 7th.. called to speak with Rick Hill. Left a message with the front deck. She was very kind.Thursday July 8th… called back and no reply.Today marks 3 weeks of ownership of this vehicle and I have not been able to drive it safely. Yes, this was a used vehicle. But if a used vehicle is serviced and inspected as it should be, a buyer should have peace of mind within the first few months of ownership, or at least the first few weeks.What a terrible sales experience, terrible follow up and customer service. No decency to even call someone back.Buy at your own risk here.
Zach Brewer with Rick Hill Imports did an awesome job with getting me into my dream BMW M3. He made the process extremely smooth and with no worries since having nine hours of travel. Information needed was delivered quickly as well as questions were answered clearly. My M3 was as described, serviced, washed, and ready to take home. Placed 110% trust in Zach and he delivered. I went to Rick Hill Imports on 02/06/21 and was treated great and left with an outstanding vehicle. I met David and then Grady and after a couple of test drives I found the car I wanted. I got a good deal on my trade in, the financing part went nice and smooth and everything was gone over regarding what I needed to do come Monday. As I went to go home I realized I was leaving an auto dealer with a positive feeling and that felt really nice. I highly suggest stopping by and as a side note, I did not buy a six figure BMW but they treated me as if I did.
I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle. I chose the vehicle online, was contacted by email by Zach. I gave him all the pertinent information necessary and what my goal for a payment would need to be to be satisfied. With this all done with a few texts and a brief phone call, I awaited their offer. Within an hour I had my answer. I made appointment for the following day at 10am. When I arrived the vehicle was ready and within 25 minutes I was leaving with my new car. Ive been on the list waiting to order a Corvette for over a year; it was to be my retirement car. I have almost given up on the Corvette so I went to Rick Hill today to look at a 911 or possibly a Cayman. (full disclosure, they had neither in stock) I pulled on their lot in my old 06 Cayenne. My son and I roamed the lot for at least 10 minutes looking at other cars. I guess we werent dressed like we had enough money to be there. Everyone stood inside the building and just watched us. My son told me he was done the same way a couple of months ago when he stopped by in his Corvette to look at one of their cars. Ill look elsewhere now. I wont go back to Rick HIll.

I called to see about upgrading our vehicles. I had the pleasure of speaking with Alex Graham. He was a very polite individual and very informative. I told him what I was looking for and how I hated that I couldnt come by and see the vehicles in person. He asked if I would be willing to accept a video call. I said of course. He than called me via video and walked outside in the cold to take me to look at some vehicles. I told him that was necessary and he politely told me it was his pleasure. I found a couple of SUVs that interested me. He said I could make an appointment to come see them and test drive them. Based on this experience I would not go anywhere else but here. The customer service he provided is very memorable and I really enjoyed speaking with him yesterday. I have purchased many Mercedes in my State of NC but by far I was treated the best by Bryan with his professionalism, honesty and quick follow up to all my questions and needs I could not ask for better customer service than I received from Rick Hill Imports and from Bryan. I love a Mercedes, but I will never buy from Rick Hill again because the service has gone downhill. I strongly suggest anyone considering a purchase to go elsewhere. They will not be able to service your card.They used to be the best, but the last few years, I have had issues with getting anyone to return my call to schedule appointments or to followup with me on parts that have had to be ordered. Today, I called because the battery light came on. I left a message, with no return call. Having been a victim of their voice mail issues in the last, I kept calling back and kept being transferred to voice mail. I finally insisted on speaking with a person. The service tech put me on hold. She came back to say they didn’t have any batteries and were waiting on them to come in. I explained that the batteries in my car were newer and I needed someone to check to see if it is the alternator. She put me on hold again. Came back and told me they had no techs available this afternoon and suggested I take it to Auto Zone! I asked if I could get an appointment for the next business day and she said they had nothing available for 2 weeks. So, I am done with Rick Hill.
If I could leave zero stars I would....Ive had multiple bad experiences with the service department to say the least. Would not recommend.

Very good experience. Was having problem with cabin temperature control on recent purchase of loaner vehicle. Christa, the Service Advisor, diagnosed the problem from my description, and we were able to remedy the issue without involving a service technician. She had the technician check out the system anyway to be sure there were no other problems. Provided a loaner vehicle for me while the car was being checked out. I was very pleased.

Purchased a part online through MBUSA for my R129 roadster. Part was to ship from Rick Hill Imports. Paid immediately.After nothing for a week, I contacted the parts department at Rick Hill Imports. The person with whom I spoke had no knowledge of the MBUSA parts site, though he said he was some sort of manager. Not only was he not knowledgeable, he wasnt helpful and was basically rude.Contacted MBUSA online. Was told the order was in process and that I would be contacted by the dealer. Of course, Rick Hill Imports has not contacted me, nor has my payment been refunded.I understand we have COVID, but it is no reason for poor customer service. I dont know whether the problem is the fault of Rick Hill Imports, but they certainly could be more helpful. They were awful.Rude and unresponsive. When it comes time to purchase a new car, Im certainly not going to consider Rick Hill.Id recommend driving to Knoxville, Asheville, Charlotte, or anywhere else where there is a Mercedes Dealer who understands customer service. Someone at Rick Hill Imports should spend a day studying how Hendrick Mercedes does business and treats their customers.

I encountered a major problem with my 2014 Cayenne on a 600 mile trip to Asheville, NC. Rick Hill was the only Porsche dealer to take and repair my car on an emergency basis. The other dealer in Asheville could not take the car for 7+ days. The welcoming relationship resulted in a new car purchase with Rick Hill.

I have owned my Mercedes for about 6 months now and on two occasions i have tried to call Rick Hill Imports to schedule service or have warranty work done. Both time i have received service well below standard the first occasion i left a message because no one was available to answer the phone and never received a call back. The most recent time i called to try and schedule warranty and recall work and was told they couldnt help me until November and after be given 2 options for an appointment the service dept rep.hung up on me. I hope other people continue to have better service than i have received from Rick Hill Imports

My experience with Rick Hill has been stellar. They are professional, courteous, and efficient. I feel I paid a very fair price for my vehicle and my service experiences have been awesome. Recently, I needed a part replaced under warranty. I was not able to drive my car and the dealership provided a nice late model clean loaner for the weekend. I really like doing business with Rick Hill. I have read some of the negative reviews and they are just not consistent with my experience.

I have had Mercedes for many years and have been to a number of different dealerships through out the country. I have been very pleased with the service from Rick Hill. I was a little hesitant to take my car here based on some of the reviews but have been pleasantly surprised with the the quality of work, communication, and overall service I have received from this dealership. There will always be issues when working on cars however the way they handle the problems has been top notch. Im probably a little more picky about my vehicles than most and even with that type of personality I feel very comfortable with this dealership taking care of my car. I would recommend Rick Hill to any of my friends or family for service or a new vehicle. I recently ordered a new car form them and the process was smooth, easy, and only received helpful information from the salesmen. Keep up the great work!
Took my bmw in for repair of a “misfire cyl #6”, code. Dropped car off there for an 830am appointment. Called them at noon to get status, and they hadn’t looked at vehicle yet. Finally got a call from them at 3pm telling me I need 6 spark plugs, and 6 coils and the cost is $1000. I picked the car up, bought a $60 coil and a $10 spark plug and changed it in my driveway in 30 minutes. Car runs perfectly now.

Rick Hill was wonderful about repairing my Mercedes. It is a used car and they were in no way rude or snotty about repairing it. They were honest, helpful and realistic about all of the repairs made. The always took my calls and answered any questions I had. If they were unable to answer my call they always returned my messages. The fixed my car as promptly as possible and did a fantastic job. My car is running better than ever. Not only were they always polite on the phone but the day I went to pick up my car they played and chatted with my 4 year old daughter while we were waiting for everything to be finished up. Rick Hills employees and friendly and professional and do a great job. I would recommend their service to anyone needing their Mercedes repaired and I plan on returning to them in the future when I purchase a new Mercedes.
After discovering that my BMW would need extra work, I was given a loaner car to go get lunch. During that time, they called to let me know they would need to order some parts, and let me keep the loaner car until the car was fixed, 3 days later. That was very helpful, since I live 45 minutes away.
When I bought my last Mercedes the sales staff went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with the sale and delivery of my vehicle. I highly recommend going by and seeing one of the of the salesman if youre in the market. I just recently had a small warranty repair done last week and the service department was very easy to work with, just as in the past, very professional and polite.

I purchased a BMW last year from Mike Frazier and just recently had to take it in the shop for repairs. I took it to a local shop and it was there for 3 weeks and they couldn’t find the problem (very nice people though) so I phoned Mike at Rick Hill Imports and he said to bring it in so his service dept. can look into it. They had it resolved the very next day! I highly recommend Mike Frazier and the service dept. because for one I bought the car a year ago and when I called him he was willing to help me get it fixed and that my friends is not just a sales person but a person with great customer service. After being rear ended, my C230 was taken to Rick Hill imports due to the Check Engine Light. Upon picking up the car, the light was off but came back on only minutes after leaving the dealership. When I returned to Rick Hill, they wanted to charge me more money to put the car back on the machine to figure out why the light came back on. Obviously, they did not fix all the issues the first time around. I refused to pay them to put it back on the machine, and they told me to (and I quote) Get the Hell Out then.Follow Up: The car was taken to Rick Hill originally by the body shop doing the repairs after the accident. We never declined to order parts or repairs in July, as we never received a quote. If one was given it would have been to the body shop. We never stepped foot on the property nor spoke to any employee there in the month of July. That is VERY FALSE INFORMATION. The second time the car was brought in it was finally put on the diagnostic machine at no cost because we demanded Rick Hill do so since all issues were not resolved originally. The staff insisted we pay the $88, but we would not let up. HORRIBLY RUDE AND LESS THAN ACCOMMODATING THE FIRST AND ONLY TIME WE WERE AT RICK HILL IMPORTS. Your response was even more insulting as it was a lie.

All I can say is if you plan on buying a used car from this place good luck. On three different occasions I attempted to pick up a truck to take it to my mechanic to have it looked at. All three times the vehicle was broken down and/or leaking transmission fluid. I will also mention the customer service was atrocious. They did not bother to contact me with any status updates even though I requested them and let them know of my interest. I even called and spoke to the used car manager but that was useless as well. Shameful excuse for customer service and mechanic if it takes that many times to fix an issue.

I recently purchased a BMW from Rick Hill Imports and had a great experience. The staff was friendly, the price of the vehicle was fair and they gave me an excellent price on my trade in. I have not been in for service yet, but have been told as long as you make an appointment you can get a car while yours is being serviced. So I have not experienced any of the problems that those who have given negative feedback have experienced. I would also never do a deal over the phone or email, so those individuals caused their own problems, in my opinion. I would recommend this dealership.
I usually dont like the process of buying a new car. I did my homework on what I wanted. Rick hill made it very easy for me to go in and pick up what I wanted. The folks at Rick Hill Imports make buying a car a true joy! I drove 5 hrs. to purchase a Mercedes from them and could not be happier with my purchase. I recommend anybody who is looking to buy to do the same!

No star is not an option, or I would have awarded Rick Hill Iimports a Zero.. I purchased a 2010 Mercedes 300 sedan from Rick Hill Mercedes in November of 2018. When I went to pick up the car, the check engine light was on. My salesman told me that they had just filled the car up with gas and that, sometimes, the gas cap loose would cause that. When the gas cap was secured, the check engine light was still on. The salesman told me not to worry about that, that the dealership would fix whatever was wrong with the car. They made an adjustment, and, before I got the car home, the check engine light came on again. Over the course of the past several months, I took the car back in four more times for this to be repaired. Each time, the check engine light would come back on, a couple of times before I even got home with the car. When I would take the car back, the service department asked me who would be paying for the repair, and I told them that the repair was on the dealership because I was promised that the problem would be corrected. And, each time, the problem was not corrected. Finally, I took the car back and told the dealership that I intended to sale the car and needed to know that the problem was fixed. Again, they assured me the problem was corrected. A few days later, I sold the car to an individual. After he had the car for three days, the check engine light came on again, and he brought the car back to me, wanting the problem corrected. So, again, I took the car back to Rick Hill Imports and told them I had to have the problem fixed and that I WOULD PAY FOR THE REPAIR. So, now knowing that I would pay for the repair, the dealership fixed the problem. it cost me $981. All of the times i had taken the car back for repair of the problem that Rick Hill said they would fix, all they did was reset the light, apparently hoping to just wear me out. But, when they were told I would pay, they fixed the problem. I have bought two Mercedes from Rick Hill in the past, and was planning on buying a new one in 2019. But, not now. they are a disreputable and dishonest company to deal with and I advise everyone to stay clear of Rick Hill Imports in Kingsport, TN.
