Great option if you want the process to take in excess of 6 months. Yes, 6 months. I had AC installed back in April, it is now the end of October and the job still is not complete.The good side is that the installers were fairly quick and we did have AC for the summer.The bad side is the job has still not passed inspection, despite Black Lion and the city inspector EACH being out to our house 3+ times. Ive called countless times over the last 6 months and am STILL getting the run around on completing the steps to allow for a (hopefully) final inspection.On the last call I was told they are at the whims of the city to get the site plan approved. The plan for the install was never changed since their very first time at our home back in April. Every inspection has indicated the site plan was wrong and still needed fixed. Ive told Black Lion multiple times, specifically, that they need to fix the site plan (which they should not need me to tell them), theyve told me ~6 or more weeks ago that they filed it with the city. Then, weeks later when I call they miraculously happened to get a call from the city that day so they know it is being worked but still isnt done.I am beyond frustrated with calling them and getting no progress. An AC installation should not take 6 months or more to complete. They have offered me nothing for the inconvenience.Sorry for the long review but go somewhere else if you want a service to actually be completed and able to pass a city inspection.

Black Lion did install my Bryant Furnace in 2013 which included a 10 year parts & labor warranty. I am well aware of the Supply Chain problems. My furnace died in Sept.. Black Lion did not have a replacement part. I was told the part was on backorder until the end of October. I waited until the first week of November to inquire about the part. I was told, they would check & let me know that afternoon. I never heard back that day. I did call again for status, left a message, but no call back. If the date has slid, I can understand that, but to ignore a customers phone calls is customer service suicide if you want to stay in business. Come on guys, call me & let me know what is going-on with my furnace part! I am using 2 space heaters & a cauldron of water simmering on the stove.

Joey and Cole did awesome job installing new water heater and new furnace! They came on time, did careful measurement, and finished the job quickly. They provided me concrete and helpful suggestions when I wanted to add new vent in the bedroom. They also helped me install Nest Thermostats while I was out for food. The only thing is they really shouldnt skip lunch for their hard work :)Jamie also deserves an applause. He provided lots of advice when he came to get an estimate and he explained in very much details about different systems.

I bought a heat pump rated to operate down to 5 degree fahrenheit. Lately the temp has hovered around 35 degrees yet the unit is turning into an ice block inside and out. I called Black Lion, they said they only offer a 1 year warranty on a $5k unit unless you buy the $220 per year service plan. Even a diagnostic visit is $155 + any work that needs done. Bottom line, dont buy a heat pump expecting to save money; if you do choose to buy one, dont buy from Black Lion.

I had asked for a free quote via homedepot and discussed about installing HVAC. I never confirmed them to work. What I said was I will call them back if needed.Now they refuse to serve because they claim I ordered items.

I have worked with many subcontractors and Blacklion is the worst. Jason came out and gave me a quote to install an electrical furnace. In the quote, the electrical furnace is to be located so that a 3’-4’ walkway can be maintained. After installation, there is only a 2’ walkway. Back lion refused to come fix it without charging me an additional $3,900. In addition to refusing to move the furnace, they ripped out one of the supply ducts and left the oil tank which they refused to come back and handle as originally agreed.Much like others experienced, Jason refused to answer any calls or texts and directed me to the office which is a dead end.Lastly, once I complained about the work not being done they went ahead and charged my card in 5 random separate transactions.Very frustrating experience!

We used BL for a new A/C unit last year. Yesterday, we woke up to a cold house and broken furnace. I was a little panicked because in the winter, it can take a while to get someone out for a repair. I called BL and they called me back in just a few minutes and had a technician, JJ, out in a couple of hours! There was a part that needed replacing, and he let us know it would be a few days. This was particularly troublesome because we have an infant and a 2 yr old and the house temp was dropping by 1 degree each hour, a few days would be impossible! JJ spring into action and went and picked up the part himself that night, and came back the next morning between service calls to get us all squared away. Without him we would have probably had to go to a hotel, which would have been super inconvenient with our two little ones, not to mention expensive! Were very grateful for JJ and the service we receive from Black Lion, well never use anyone else!

Adis and Jake are true professionals, friendly informative and decent guys. They replaced my horrific 50s electrical panel with something that wont burn my house down and let me know all the options and kept me informed all the way. Adis came round first and gave the overview whilst helping me with a few other things that needed tweaking and Jake installed the panel. Work was clean and done efficiently for a very competitive price. Ive used Black lion over the years for a few other things like a complete HVAV gut and reinstall with new AC, again for a very competitive price and also regular HVAC services. I never feel like Black Lion are sneaky or deceptive or try to upsell anything. Great company and employees and I wish them all the best for future business. The technician arrived exactly on time, was very communicative and got right to work. Though the news wasnt good, he delivered it like a doctor and gave us options. We will be using Black Lion to replace our furnace and AC as soon as we have the funds to do so.

Great service! I called over the holiday weekend and an actual human picked up and scheduled an appointment for the upcoming Monday. Most places were 2 weeks out. Technician was friendly and knowledgeable. He explained what was happening and showed me the part that was damaged, replaced it with a new one and he was done within 45 min. He then gave me some advice on him I as the homeowner could take better care of the furnace.

I recently had an AC installed in our full-sun house. This job included an extension of ductwork for a garage to living-space (office) type of conversion. Our salesman Jason Smith was very thorough and explained his perspective on what made sense for us and what didnt given our houses unique design and our personal goals. The install team was great very efficient. Price-wise, they came in a little higher than the competition; however, Im confident that they did a good job installing the AC and did a good job running the duct-work -- even in the ridiculously hot weather we had the day they came (some attic duct extension work was involved, plus running the line-sets). I had a second call out today to seal up some spots that had air leaks. The Service Technician, Scott who came out is very knowledgeable on HVAC and had been out to our house back in 2016. He double checked the work that was done and re-tested the pressures for the system. Im very pleased with the team at Black Lion and the work they performed. 5/5 would recommend.

Had them out to service my Moms furnace. They made it out timely, The tech took his time, and made my mom feel very comfortable. The customer service is fantastic. Nick did a great job working with my mom (who is aging), to figure out the best course of action for fixing her furnace. Plus the summer discount was helpful. When we bought this furnace it was the model that runs at 90% efficiency. It is a Bryant. We also bought the annual service package.For the second year in a row we have had the same technician. He is knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, helpful and willing to take the time to help us understand how this furnace works and how the electronics of our thermostat interface with it.I would recommend this company to anyone. We feel confident that i in the unlikely event any issues arise with the future they will be responded to promptly and effectively.

I was super disappointed when my regular furnace technician retired 😕. I totally understand, you can’t work forever. Any who, I am assuming that he sold his phone number to Black Lion. Because when I called his number, Black Lion answered. I was pleased with the quoted price and agreed for them to came out and service my furnace. After everything was said and done. The service experience was worth it. Charges were communicated clearly before agreed to. The technician was seasoned and well put together. 5 stars all around. 👏🤘🕺🏼✌️❤️🙂

Unfortunately very bad experience. I had a regular furnace service appointment. From the minute the technician entered the garage, it was very clear he only had one purpose in mind.. which is to up-sell and get me to spend as much money as possible. Also he didnt look very experienced in doing the maintenance, and was not willing to explain anything about what he is doing nor give me any good explanation about the status of the various parts of the furnace. It felt i had to extract every bit of information as when asked he will reply in one or two general word and thats it. And instead he kept focusing on telling me what are the other things that I have to do extra, the different programs and subscriptions they provide and their prices. Needless to say based on everything, I had 0% trust in him so didnt take anything he said seriously.Anyway very sad how this industry is full of scam with the focus of just getting money out of you relying on keeping people ignorant and fearful about the subject. Hard to find someone to trust for a real advice!!!

I have mixed reviews so I would give half of 5 stars because we have had fine experience with just repairs howeverLast Week we had a new furnace installed and smelled smells for 5 days before we agreed this was more than just new furnace smell- I called PSE and the guy came to see the installer did NOT tighten a bolt causing a gas leak smell. We were not expecting that from a new furnace install! I called and left feedback with the business the day after PSE came.It is imparative people should check over their work so we will choose another company next time.

From start to finish this company was great and up front, I am in the customer service field myself, they walk the talk and was given all the info needed to make a wise choice on units. I choice their top of the line unit and I am super impressed. Home depot makes the deal better by paring with this company and has your back if any problems. The install crew where great and respectful about my house and leaving it clean. Give them a try!

Installers and maintenance people are clean and efficient. I signed up for their maintenance plan and appreciate seeing the same person who specified the system now checking and cleaning it. Black Lion overhauled and replaced an efficient and basic furnace with a complete variable speed heat pump, furnace, and air filter. The system had to fit in a very tight mechanical room in an occupied home. The crew did a great job fabricating and installing all of the equipment. And, the new thermostat and configuration were much more involved to program. There was also a lot of follow up to get things tweaked and keep us happy. The crew did a fantastic job and we are very pleased!

My furnace had stopped working after my wife had moved the furnace door to try and clean the air filter.I had explained this issue of furnace not igniting had happened before, but was not aware of how the previous technician had fixed it. I personally had googled the flashing 3 times status light and told him that the manual said a limit switch issue.The technician immediately got his flash light out and pointed to a potential oil leak on the motor. He suggested replacing it at the cost of $600, and two other parts at total cost of $1500. He said he wasnt confident it would still fix the problem. Then he started saying that a 12 year old furnace should be replaced by a $4000 one.I decided to get a second opinion. The competing company came out, listened to my diagnosis, then located the limit switch and pushed it in and the furnace was operational.With the weather forecast for snow the next day and a two year old daughter, I wasnt happy that the technician wasnt able to diagnose what seems to be a simple thing to find on Google/YouTube.

I have used Black Lion for years including a four furnace installs. All work without any issues. They are well priced and do fantastic work. Above all, they are HONEST and will not gouge you like other companies out there. I highly recommend Black Lion for any type of HVAC work.

We had AC installed in 2017, and everything was good for the last 2 years until we had a big rain in 2019. The place where theyd installed ventilation through the roof caused a leak, and we only noticed after a huge crack formed in our ceiling. Further inspection revealed that black mold had been growing around the installation. So while the service seemed great, I have to give it 1 star for the $1500 in ceiling and roof repair it cost me.

They installed an outside air conditioning unit and updated our furnace to use it. Everything was seamless from booking a bid appointment, install, permit sign off by city, and sending warranty info. It is hard to find this kind of quality company.--efficient, polite, honest and wanting to please. Dont look any farther for your need. Thank you, Jason, Phil, DJ. We have had BL replace our heat exchange unit and install an air condition unit. Each time they were on time and left a clean work area. This last time was a warranty issue that a less honest business could have charged me and I would not have known the difference. The help has always been very courteous. The warranty on the work is fantastic and the staff are great. Had furnace repair turn into furnace replacement. They were able to reproduce the issue and diagnose effectively. Friendly and social and they let me pepper them with questions. It was evident from more than their words that they enjoy their work. I appreciate they don’t lose sight of the purpose: heat and cooling for their customers!

Global warming is a reality and even in Seattle we decided this year to install Central AC in our Bellevue home. After meeting 4 companies Black lion proved to be the best on paper, then it was confirmed by a seamless installation, with a crew that did everything to make me happy (including a more tricky path for the electrical part of the job so the front of the house would be preserved, at no extra cost). We now signed a maintenance contract with them and yesterday was the first visit. As the rest it was perfect. A special mention to the admin team who is also pleasant to work with and efficient. Couldnt be more happy.

Called to get a quote on installing new furnace with heat pump. They told me I needed to install a new electrical panel first because mine was full. Before they installed it, they had me make changes to the closet so that it would meet code. But, after the new panel was installed, it failed inspection and they left me hanging out to dry and threatened me with fines if I didn’t fix it. I tried to ask for more information because I had fixed it the way they told me to before installation started. Then, they told me about a different set of standards that the inspector quoted to them. Bottom line, don’t trust their electricians to understand the codes. Read it for yourself and have something in writing.

Great company! The owner sent out a highly experienced man, quickly, to our home when our furnace wasnt working. He repaired it at a lower cost than I had been quoted. Very skilled and trustworthy. I had Black Lion install a new AC unit last year and they were great. I got five bids and while they were not the lowest they were very professional, arrived on time and finished in one day. They did a great job.I bought the annual maintenance plan and theyve come out twice since. They checked the furnace last fall and the AC unit this spring. They were not pushy when they advised me the motor in my furnace needed to be replaced. Im going to have Black Lion replace it.I would highly recommend Black Lion.

Black Lion showed up early! We were hearing noises in our vents and thought there might be an expensive problem. We had another company come out. They told us our condenser might be going out, wrong! The vents were a little loose and air was escaping around the edges causing wierd noises. The Black Lion rep double checked everything and serviced our outdoor unit. AC is good to go. No big bill coming. Thanks guys!

Be aware that they might sell you over-priced parts . I had problem with our thermostat and the technician sold me one for over $480 bucks which I found later that it only costs about $150 online. Im fine with the service and I think Ive paid for it. Im not quite happy that I had to pay hidden fee on top of it.

Nick was great! He showed up on time and was extremely helpful and honest. I had booked the appointment because I purchased a smart thermostat that needed four wires (I only have two). Nick mentioned the thermostat I had was one he often replaced or had issues. So, instead he installed a programmable thermostat he had on hand and it didn’t require new wiring. He was quick to install it and set it up, explaining everything along the way. I would definitely recommend Black Lion!

Everett came out on time yesterday and did an awesome job answering our questions before getting to work. He was able to fix the issues I was having with our furnace and serviced the furnace so we should be good to for the winter. This is my second time using Black Lion and they were great both times. Weve had Black Lion out a couple of times to maintain our furnace. Both men were professionals who were friendly and efficient. This last time, Everett was our service tech and on top of being informative and approachable, he also was able to win over our slightly shy kiddos. They love the fuzzy little black lion stuffed animals, too!

The service was good and they came out right away because my furnace was not producing heat. But, I feel I was over charged. $92.00 for diagnosis was very reasonable, but I was charged $346 for a replacement pressure switch. I found the exact switch online anywhere from $25 to $50. Total ripoff! I think $200-$250 would have been a reasonable price for an hours worth of work. I was charged close to $500.

The person from Black Lion who came to service our heat pump, furnace, and gas fireplace was professional and friendly. DESTROYED our heat pump when they came to do a simple cleaning. A YEAR LATER it still wasnt fixed, and they offered ONLY A QUARTER of the replacement cost. They also refused to respond to the State Attorney Generals inquiry, blocking a fair resolution. Had the technician known what he was doing, he couldve told us it was too old and brittle to clean, and we couldve used our home warranty to cover replacement.

I want you to know you have an exceptional employee. His calm, patient manner was a great help to me when I expressed my frustration related to the issues with the new system. The Installation technicians were very professional and took great care to make sure the new furnace fit well, and all the duct work was properly attached. The technicians also made sure that their work area was left in the same condition as before, and their entry path was well protected. Black Lion has always responded in a timely fashion and do good work. I have used them three times for various projects including AC installation and a 240 outlet for electric car charging. They came for a urgent project when another company bailed. I recommend them highly.

If I could give this company no stars I would. We spent a ton of money installing a heat pump and we have encountered so many problems since. The gist is, they are impossible to get ahold of, are terrible with scheduling, but most importantly, the quality is terrible. Our pump did not pass city inspection. The city inspector in addition to another company who now comes out to do our maintenance also stated that there is no reason that the pipe coming out of the furnace should be blocking the walk way in our laundry room. We have had the other company come out twice so far to try and fix our pump. Like I said, zero stars.

Both Chris and Jack the installers were so professional quite knowledgeable and did a great job. I feel very confident that the installation was done properly and they took time to go over details and answered questions we had, but what made me feel good was warranty that Black Lion Heating provides for a low fee annually to maintain my new Bryant air conditioning unit after initial 1st year no cost service. I had 3 bids from contractors but right at the beginning when Jason came out to quote me I felt comfortable and at ease with Black Lion. Great Job!!!!

The technicians name was JJ and before arriving he called to let me know he would be there in 1/2 hour. Upon his arrival he removed his shoes before entering our residence. He was polite, knowledgably, and professional. his communication with me was effective and within 45 minutes of be there our heating issue was resolved. I have used Black Lion for several years now for annual furnace inspection and maintenance. They are always courteous and punctual. They do a great job and explain any additional recommended service and costs in detail.

I called and made appointments for Furnace Maintenance, ongoing Generator issues(the original installer and service person could not keep it running,then he stopped answering my calls over the last year)and Misc. electrical repairs. My call was answered promptly,and appointments were made. I was called in advance and given approximate times for my scheduled services. I was called again when person was on their way and gave me approximate time arrival. I have been very pleased with the office people and all of the repair persons. They were respectful and informative. Furnace Maintenance was completed and questions answered and corrections made concerning my thermostat. Regarding my Generator issues. He checked everything and was able to get it started(which I could was not able to do). I was told to call if it did not test start on Saturday. It did not. I called on Monday. The young lady was very understanding and helpful. She mentioned serviceman was at a job for the entire day,but she would call him and get back to me. Within a very few minutes she called back,informing me that he would arrived at my home between specific times. He showed up and said he had been discussing my ongoing situation with someone and would implement those new ideas. His comment was, I am going to solve the problem, as he smiled. That simple statement was refreshing and welcomed. It made me smile and relax. He also said the company sent him to school for Generators once they started installing them. I am waiting for the Generator to test start on Saturday,to see if it works. Concerning my misc. electrical repairs. I received an e-mail informing me that he is working up the cost estimate for my misc. electrical repairs. To date I have not received that cost estimate.

Had heater problems develop offer the cold weekend. I called Black Lion at 8:00 AM and had a guy at my house by 10:00 AM and repairs completed by 11:00. Technician was very personable, he competed the work quickly, and overall a very positive experience.Would recommend, and already have done so.

Nick arrived and quickly determined that the thermostat needed to be replaced. He stated that the new thermostat would be $420. I told him that seemed really expensive, but it was either take it or leave it. Final bill was $560 for an hours work and the thermostat. The exact same thermostat with the same warranty is available online for $120 to $150I feel that I was ripped off and wont use or recommend Black Lion again

I bought a water heater from Black Lion last year, found them on Angie’s List. Just had the first annual maintenance that comes with the original water heater package. Both the installation and service were on time and done professionally. The service guy Mark took time to explain potential problems with our furnace and best pratices for maintaining the furnace and water heater. We purchased their annual maintenance as a result. Their price wasn’t the lowest but it seems fair to pay a little premium for the quality.

Our creaky old gas furnace gave up the ghost, so I found Black Lion on Angie’s List. I called, explained the problem, and a courteous woman set an appointment for the next morning for an inspection. The tech was on time, pleasant, and we set an appointment for the next morning to install a new furnace and thermostat. The installers, Darrius and Jacob, were quiet and efficient. They did an excellent job of cleaning up. I would happily recommend Black Lion to a friend.

Black Lion came out to replace the furnace and add central air to my house recently. This required a lot of extra work, such as adding a return up through the interior of the house and attic and rerouting some water and gas pipes. The quality of the worksmanship was excellent. For example, they had to run a new return through the floor in the back of the closet, and the gap between the pipe and the hole they cut is minuscule, and they were able to seal it with flashing. The carpet around it even sits flush with the edge of the pipe. I was expecting to have to do a bunch of work afterward to make it look nice, but it looks great.

The young men put in a long day but finished by dinner time.All was cleaned up and explained. They were polite and patient with two senior citizens. We thank Black Lion for our furnace and A/C and would highly recommend the whole team.

Black lion heating and air conditioning has been awesome from my first contact with them. First they checked my gas fireplace and got it working again and then found a cracked burner in my furnace resulting it needing to be replaced last year. The current service was for my thermostat which was not functioning properly and Everett came by to reprogram it. He is excellent and also answered another question I had regarding the best option for efficiency with my furnace and thermostat. I could not recommend Black Lion more highly. They are awesome! You will not be disappointed if you use their service

Had our heater and AC installed by Black Lion. Everything looked fine. After first annual tune-up, they sold us pre-paid twice annual tune-up with some discount and informed us they would call and schedule. 1st time when service was due, no call, I was told they forgot us. 2nd time, they did call, but showed up saying they no longer do same thing as contracted, and required $40 additional for my prepaid service, otherwise tune-up cant be done. I didnt have time, so pay them out and let them go.Now as we just received heavy rain, some flex duct in crawl space fell off. We called Black Lion who sound very considerate this time, saying they will send out sb to do tune up and at the same time take a look whats the problem so we only need to pay tune-up. Technician showed up, only opened our crawl space, gave us a quote for crawl space flex duct repair, no tune-up was done as scheduled. We then scheduled a crawl space flex duct appointment, communicated with Black Lion two times before appointment to make sure work condition is workable for them (weather and water). one hour before our schedule, I was told a cancellation by Black Lion. BL mentioned they may fix the flex duct (heater) in spring. I told them thats not acceptable, and even the tune-up I paid was not done and requested a refund. Now waiting for BLs response. My flex duct project was now scheduled with another company to come in two days.

They had availability same day, service technician was friendly and knowledgeable. So pleased they were the first company I called!

I purchased a furnace and air conditioner service from Angies List. Nick Carson arrived on time and ready to work. I highly recommend Black Lion Heating & Air Conditioning - mainly because of Technician Everett. He arrived on time and deemed our 12 year gas forced air furnace in tip-top shape. I also signed up for the yearly maintenance at a nice discount. Everett also looked at our gas water tank and agreed that it needed replacing. He will get back to me with a bid. Its a special situation because its in a manufactured home and needs to be replaced per HUD standards. Thank you, Everett!

We had a new furnace, heat pump, and AC installed by Black Lion. We had a good experience with everyone from Jason who came out and gave us a quote, the administrative staff, to the install crew. All were responsive and professional. We appreciated that Jason wasnt just a salesman, but does actual installs as well. He was knowledgeable and gave us a lot of good information. We received several quotes from different companies and Black Lion offered the best equipment at the best price for what we were looking for. They passed along manufacturer rebates as well as the Sno Co PUD rebates which made for very competitive pricing. We are also excited about their maintenance plan as it was the best warranty offered of the companies we spoke with.

Amazing incredible Fast. After being extorted by Brennan left withoutw heat for a week during the recent winter storm and having them disable the system and order unneeded parts Black lion showed up within 24 hrs fixed the unit without parts. And informed us the part Brennan was trying to install was not even the issue. Super happy with their exemplary service.

Scott was great at explaining all that needed to be done to fix the HVAC and the furnace. Not that it was great news, but I felt like he was very thorough and showed me all of the problems directly so I did not feel like I was getting taken advantage. He was also very knowledgeable and very helpful in explaining the concerns with the system.
