Most of the staff are very helpful, but there is one female staff member with glasses, who is incredibly rude. I thought the rudeness I experienced was a one-off when I first visited 6 months ago, but I visited again this week and it was the very same. This time it was directed to her colleagues because one was unsure if I could scan larger paper.If the manager/operator of this branch reads this, you have a real problem with this individual that is effecting your customer satisfaction and I would bet your employee satisfaction too.

Went in to inquire about international shipping options. The person helping me acted like they had no idea how to help me and the other person(the same person multiple people have complained about in the ratings) wouldn’t even turn around to look at me. She talked to me with her back turned and did nothing to help me with my question. Literally terrible customer service.

If you don’t mean to do well, please do us a favor, stay away from the business. Bad customer service and attitude is a cancel, and- making people feel miserable and questioned why people with disabilities cannot move a 40 lb package, is not human.- Telling people that pick up service is not available for those lives in apartment because they cannot afford a house, is horrible.- Leaving pick up labels near by the trash and said that you attempted to pick up but packages were not ready and yo never went to the apartment door, is unethical.UPS is customer facing business. If you are not enjoying it, please, please, stay away from it. Thank you.

Over past few years, I have had many negative interactions with the staff.Traditional fast UPS system is in place, so I have no problem with the UPS returning or shipping process. Hence, when customers need to return Amazon item(s) or simply drop off pre-labeled item(s), they less likely encounter any issue with the staff.When customers need some help from the staff, sometimes, they encounter less-friendly service. To make it fair, it is a busy store and I also saw some customers are rude as well.However, when I saw a noticeable amount of complaints are written and has a low star rating on here, I was not surprised. It is rather sad that this specific location continues to have very poor customer service.I wanted to write my review to help the store if the owner or the store manager reads this.Their system is fast and good.If the staff will provide friendly service, eventually they will have more happy customers.

I have used this store couple times before, and always thought the service was getting worse and worse. I thought it might be due to them being busy and understaffed. But today I had to mail a simple envelope out and the entire store was empty for a good 15 minutes while I the service I got was so rude, they had a very very hard time/no interest in even telling me something as basic as when a simple UPS ground shipment will arrive. I expect slightly better service for paying 35$ to mail an envelope across 2 states. I am never using this store again.

The clerks here are quite rude to the customers. I experienced it watching how one clerk talked to another customer. When it was my turn, I was glad I didn’t get her. But instead, my experience seemed to be worse with another gal. No warmth. Just rough! Wow!

After waiting for UPS to pick up my package twice. I had to bring in my packages to finally get them shipped. Both times they left labels and didnt even try to pick up the packages. I was home both times they didnt knock or ring my videodoorbell. They also refuse to deliver any packages to my door. Instead it goes into an unlocked room where anyone could steal it. When asked how to get my packages picked up they said most drivers dont pick up and it is on the customer to return the item. Especially if it is a heavy item. So I a disabled person am supposed to do their job for them.

Been shipping here for years. Worst experience ever today!I accidentally showed my AAA card out of order of the questions, and the girl started crying. I understand this particular employee has a process in which she is able to function, thus I reassured her it was ok I will remind her I have it when she asked. ( I have shipped with her every 2 weeks for over a year). Owner told employee to take her break. He then stared down at me, asked me if I was perfect, if my life was perfect.Rudely asked if I was shipping the box that was on the scale. I politely said yes, trying to disengaged from what ever was going on. He was disrespectful for all three transaction. Told me I could understand people who are not prefect like me. Told me shipping food was too general of an answer. I answered all hazard questions. He lectured me on why he has to ask these questions. I reminded him I understand the questions I have shipped here with you for years.He demanded to know exactly what type of food was in the third box. Then told me if it was a maple leaf shaped glass jar of maple syrup that would be dangerous for the delivery staff. I replied It is potato chips for a friend who has cancer. I also attempted to remind him that I said no to glass in any of the boxes.All he could say was he was walking on egg shells.I will now take my business elsewhere and I advise others to do so also.

Similar experience with most of other comments, I had no issue with the system but those girls seem poorly educated and are pretty rude. This is a great example of how bad customer service can ruin the whole experience. Negative star for the service.

Wow. The guy that owns this establishment and his curly top son was in here today. I dont appreciate the poor service i received today. This place is local and its convenient but not the poor service I feel received today. Its not a surprise the low reviews and same remarks regarding unprofessionalism of this ups store staff. As a business person i do not feel comfortable sending personal business or corporate faxes as I work from home thru this ups store because I have told them not to review or stare and read my info. Today I get a scenario that was an evident backhand to me because he was mad I said that my papers are confidential dont read. The behavior of the workers at this location is highly unprofessional and immature.

My credit card was charged $9.95 + $2.80 for printing 3 labels, I created the labels online and yet I was charged again at the store for using their printer . For 3 pages I had a mobile scan code, the employee was rude and didn’t answer my question to help me out. It’s too much to pay just for 3 copies.

Just finished two transactions in the Totem Lake Store. The first gal that helped us WAS rude to the point where I had to say something about it. She asked another gal to take her place, because she didnt feel safe! Are you kidding me?? REALLY. I use this store quite often and have never been treated like that. I suggest further customer service training for her. I will find a new store.

It was a very trying weekend. I just flew into town with my wife to take care of her departed brothers belongings. What we couldnt carry on the plane with us was shipped through this wonderful store. The staff was knowledgeable and took care of us with compassion and professionalism.Our family members keep sakes were delivered as planned and were secure.I just want to thank you for making this very tough trip that much easier.

I worked for this store, and I felt like it needed to be cleared up: most of the 1-star reviews are about employees being rude or short. I guarantee you that this is because 80% of the customer interactions at this store that arent regulars are openly hostile. (Way way higher than anywhere else Ive worked)Shipping is expensive and complicated! And I dont blame people for not knowing that, but I do blame them for being hostile when they start learning. That hostility wears you out!! Also, this is the only retail job I ever worked where the owner explicitly lets his employees take responsibility over the store and are actually allowed to tell customers to leave or refuse to serve them if they are being genuinely unreasonable. Personally, I think thats great.Maybe if people were better listeners, didnt feel the need to be hostile in retail settings, actually show up prepared, and didnt constantly block the UPS truck out of the store for a quick trip the employees will treat you nicer! Maybe actions have consequences!That being said, the owner definitely makes you buy stuff he could probably afford to comp, but he also spends a lot of money on making his employees notaries if possible (so he can actually have more than one) so people dont constantly complain about not getting their notary work done.

This UPS was amazing. All of the employees were extremely helpful, accommodating, and nice. I came in with a lot of questions and they answered them all with a smile. I printed, laminated documents (24 of them) and mailed them all to 10 separate locations and they were helpful throughout the entire process even though the store was the busiest I’ve ever seen it. Came in to return a product that was sent to me in error. Received a shipping label from seller. I went to this location, the individual at the counter wasn’t friendly, but whatever; it’s 2020, so I don’t expect that anymore. They seemed annoyed that I had to forward the shipping label to them, but I don’t have a printer because I only ever print things at work, and well, the world is sort of shut down right now, so I didn’t think it would be a big deal for them to print it for me — I was wrong. After five minutes waiting, she finally comes back and says it’s the wrong form. While she was right — the seller sent a label that required additional postage — I said that I would just pay for the shipping myself. She didn’t acknowledge, just started measuring the package, then said approximately $50. I said, “nope.” I’ve got to contact them. She mumbled some things that I couldn’t understand, then said $1.53 and held her hand out. I was a little confused, but I handed her a five, she gave me change, then just looked at me. Then, annoyed because I was still standing there, she said have a nice day. I said, “wait. What did you just charge me for?” Then she just poked the paper in my hand and didn’t say anything. I said, “I thought you couldn’t ship it...” she said no she can’t, and more aggressively pointed at the paper. That’s when I realized she actually charged me $1.53 to print one piece of paper. While I understand that is the UPS policy (a stupid one to be honest), I was more annoyed at her demeanor, and clearly they had no interest in me coming back there after I get the label issue sorted... but y’all got your $1.53. Good job. Your 2.3 stars makes sense now.

Angry, angry employees at this location. I get yelled at pretty consistently while patronizing this UPS store. I have just come to accept that it will be an unpleasant experience walking through that door. There always seems to be one girl sitting on the counter reading a book whilst the line weaves its way out the door... I feel like several of the employees greatly dislike their career choice and subsequently take it out on the customers, but that isn’t fair because we are here to do business - not take some personal vendetta out on you. So please - adjust the attitudes of your employees for the sake of the poor people of Kirkland Washington.

Came in the store. Asked where to put my package. Older white guy with glasses said to stand in line. I said it’s a pre-paid label and non-hazardous. He stopped, faced me, pointed his finger at me and rudely said “no exceptions!”. Never have I ever not been able to leave a ready-to-go package nor been spoken to like that at a UPS store.

Do not come here, strongly do not recommend. Go to Woodinville UPS instead much more reasonable and friendly.Each page print is approx $3 which is daylight robbery. I was also extremely disturbed to hear that UPS has no standard for training or pricing. The owner here sucks and is not customer-friendly at all, does not take constructive criticism or feedback as a business owner.Waiting for this location to shut down or go out of business so we can finally have better local services and respectable customer service, things I expect at UPS.

I agree with the below review by local guide shawn, the staff seemed to have angry issue. I was new to Kirkland and was new to drop products off to UPS from amazon. This young staff named rico(I asked for her name before I left politely, and she stood by the last stand directly facing the door entry), was super rude and disrespectful and bossy and was sarcastic when I was running around under her instructions to get boxes with heavy breath, she loudly and coldly said calm down you seems very excited in UPS store, I was just hot with the mask on. T.T I didnt argue or say anything.The whole time I was being quiet and soft and just wanna get things done because there was quite a line behind me I didnt want to cause a scene and cost inconvenience to other ppl, but it was horrible experience, I didnt know if it was personal just to me or to other ppl also till I went home and asked my roommate and they told me the same thing about her, and I also saw reviews from other ppl, which oddly made me feel better that this is not personal >

Not the friendliest store to go to and not very efficient. Even if it is already ready to go and you do not need a receipt- you still need to stand in line (long). The workers (3) seemed to be having their own conversation going on and not really focused on their work. Plus standing in line listening to workers shoot the breeze is annoying.

I Googled requirements and packed seven boxes. My son brought them here and they refused to ship to Texas unless they were in corrugated boxes. He had to weight and label each box. This was his second trip.When I received them in late 2020, the only box damaged was the corrugated box.

I wheeled a hand truck into the store with 5 medium sized packages and had another 20 or so in truck (I own small business).I asked where I could place boxes temporarily and without looking at me the manager, in a very annoyed voice says “no where, and you’re going to have to wait in line for each item”.I clarify that this means drop off one package and then get back in line and do it again and sure enough, this is exactly what he meant.I spend several thousand dollars a month on shipping expenses via UPS and am considering switching to FedEx or any carrier really just so I don’t have to visit this store and be treated like garbage again.

Today at around 2:40pm I visited this UPS branch (11410 NE 124th St, Kirkland, WA 98034).When I got to the store there were 2 attendants. One was taking care of a customer at the cashier and one was not doing anything.The girl who was not doing anything called me and I told her that I needed to notarize my signature. Right after that she started practically yelling at me that she was not going to do that because there were only two of them and her colleague may be overloaded with the other customers that might appear (????).I told her that, based on previous experiences, it would only take her 5 minutes to notarize my signature and that the store was practically empty. There were two other customers choosing packing supplies but they were not even in line yet.She ignored everything that I said and was very rude to me. I left the store and took my business elsewhere.I told her I was going to report this to her supervisor. She mentioned the name John so John, if you are reading this, please talk to her and tell her this is not the most appropriate way to address a customer.I understand everyone can have bad days so I am hoping this was the case.Anyways, I found this great place in the Juanita area called Pony Express and did everything there, they also have a notary.

Never say never but after my experience this morning, August 7th 2020, at the UPS store in Kirkland off 124th, I do not plan on returning. EVER. The individual working, identified themselves as Reiku (not sure on spelling), was rude, lacked boundaries, and should not be working in customer service. I went in to return three items from Amazon, this was the first time doing this for me. I was NOT at the counter, trying to figure out the return(s) through the Amazon application and they continued to talk at me. Stating that they arent Amazon, if I am having troubles theres nothing they can do, etc. I ultimately asked them to stop talking to me because it was distracting and creating anxiety. Their response was you can leave the store when you are done doing what youre doing. I asked to speak to a manager and they said that there wasnt one for the store currently. Sadly, a lot these stores are privately-owned, franchises. One toxic employee could be the difference of your attaining your goals, whatever they be. Id suggest reevaluating internal employees, get feedback from everyone (employees, team members, check reviews, management, owners) and proceed based on your findings with action. This person should NOT be in customer service and your business is hurting because of it.

As Im standing in line waiting behind a lady without any return labels, I asked the employee if it was possible that the unprepared lady could step aside while she gathers what she needs, and I could get my drop off/return taken care of as they were ready to scan and drop off. I got told to hush my mouth by the employee. After researching the owner, John Leaty, it was definitely him but he tells people his name is Jeffrey and has for years.Any decent person with any amount of interpersonal skills would know the best thing would be to ask the unprepared lady to step aside while continuing the flow of waiting customers....but that is too complicated for some people, I guess 🤷‍♀️

If I could I would give this store zero stars. I came to the store on July 23, 2019 to drop off a converter box to be sent back to Comcast. With inadvertently not seeing the sign to stand in line I walked up to the counter as there was nobody in the store shortly after they opened. The young lady behind the counter rudely told me to get back to the line. I went back then she told me to come forward. I apologized to her for not seeing the sign then asked her why she had to be so rude about this. She said told me that she was very irritated that already five people did the same thing coming to the front. I said there was no reason to treat people so rudely. I handed her the converter box with a paper Comcast had told me to have taped to the box with my name and account number. She then rudely asked me what the paper was for. I explained. She then rudely told me that I did not need it that she can scan the information from the box. I then mentioned to be safe that it would be a good idea per Comcasts instructions to tape it to the box she persisted on not wanting to do as told. I then out of frustration told her to change her attitude and that this was no way to handle a customer and manage a business. She continued with her attitude. I then told her that she needed to grow up and change her attitude also mentioned that if you hate your job so much maybe you should consider leaving and finding something else. She then handed me the box and told me that she is sending me to another UPS store. I went to another UPS store not too far in downtown Kirkland and they were very friendly and helpful. This is the location off of 85th.Her Name is Reiko, and I noticed from several other reviews she has a very bad reputation from other customers of her same attitude.I see that the owners name is John Leaty and understand he has gone by Jeff for some time. Well, John or Jeff, I would think being the owner I would take a look at all the numerous bad ratings and check yourself!!! and why your workers are very rude. To sum this up most of the time this behavior starts and is influenced by the top, down. Hopefully one day you will figure this out and learn what customer service is all about, John or Jeff...!!!!. This whole thing is sad.

Went there with my wife on 1/14/2020, we had perhaps 6 or 7 different sizes of boxes to ship, they all have labels ready to go, the girl standing behind the counter had some attitude, no greeting, no hello, just asking us if we are ready with a I am annoyed by you face and tone. Of course, we replied with unfriendly tone and faces as well. I dont understand, where is the customer service? The reason you are in business, is because us, the customers. Weve decided not to come back here, rather drive a bit more distance to get way better service.

Horrible staff. Very rude. The girl that works there Sabrina was very unprofessional yelling at me in a loud voice just because I didn’t understand her question. When I asked for her name first she out her hand on her name badge to cover it. I then asked for a manager. The manager apologized on her behalf. The store owner’s name is John Leaty. I am contacting him tomorrow. This employee definitely needs retraining. I am also contacting the UPS corporate office and will go to Twitter about how the UPS Stores need to retrain their staff citing this “Sabrina” as an example.

Do not go there, horrible customer service. I payed double the price for my package to be delivered in two days, it didn’t happened, when I when back to complain, all the girl said was there’s nothing they could do, cause there’s no guarantee. Why she didn’t tell me that at the first time? I wouldn’t opt to pay double the price.

I have used this location for more than 20 years and shipped over 700 items without a problem. Service has always been excellent, great team and owner. Family owned and operated. Employees are well trained, almost no turnover, which is a sign of quality management. Highly recommend them.

I went in to pick up the package that I had shipped to this location and was told that they had given it to someone else! That person opened my package and thankfully returned it to the store. The note that UPS wrote on the package incredibly blames this other customer for the mistake. It says: Picked up by different person. Accidentally opened it. As if it was this other customers fault that UPS gave them my package! Thanks UPS Kirkland!

Slow; and manager is an unreasonable tyrant screaming at his employees and customers. I drive further to the other UPS just to avoid the terrible customer service and yelling from the guy that works there. Parking is also nightmare; getting in and out will take time and maneuvering.

I wish I wouldnt have wasted my time. The complete lack of any interest in customers is so blatant. Throwing a trainee that obviously has no idea what hes doing and not supporting him is just rude to your customers. Left without shipping my package. Went to fedex despite the increased inconvenience. Was in and out in half the time I wasted at this ups store. The help wanted sign that lives on the front door is real telling of the business and the management/ownership. Needless to say, despite the location being far closer and far far more convenient to use, I will go out of my way to go to FedEx from now on.

Refused to accept an Amazon return with a pre-printed form unless I purchase an envelope. The clerk stated he was the store owner after a discourteous exchange refused to accept my return and directed me to Pony Express. I have informed Amazon about this unprofessional exchange and asked them why this conduct and behavior is tolerated. UPS corporate has been apprised too.

I went to this UPS store today for a notary and I received the worst customer service. Reiko, the UPS agent was so rude and unprofessional. She was doing a notary when I got there so I waited for over 20 mins before she rudely told me that she couldn’t do the notary and I needed to go elsewhere. I came the day before and was told by her that notary was done from 12 to 4 so coming back the next day at that time and being sent elsewhere was unacceptable. I will never go back to that store and would never refer anyone there.
