The Optometrist, Eyewear Specialists and receptionists were great, kind and professional. Thanks so much!
Had a great experience. Eye exam went well and even when I had an issue with my glasses and contacts, they had resolutions to immediately help me. Customer service was amazing. I will visit again.
Such a good experience! Customer experience is top priority here and it is much appreciated.
Great service for eyeglasses in LaPlata. New Manager has store looking great and service was great. Recommend to my friends and family
Been using this location for my family since it opened. Great customer service! Very helpful when we buy a new pair each year. When we need help with our glasses, they are quick to help resolve the problem or fix the glasses. Definitely shop here again in 2020!
Big turnaround in this location. Great experience, Good people that work as a team. kudos
Told me my prescription was expired after a year... ALL.. know your rights as a consumer!! Prescriptions are valid for 2 years unless a clinical reason is given otherwise!!! Insurance fraud for days and I will be contacting the appropriate people. Also, one of the 5 stars given is the manager...
Great Team in LaPlata even with Covid, my last visit was great
Great Customer service! The Dr was very thorough and explained everything. The girls in the optical area were a blast to work with. I will be back!
I called to make an appointment for an eye exam, the young lady put me on hold for a very long time and never came back. I took my business to visionworks, I refuse to spend money with a business that doesn’t respect the customer.
Ya’ll should really update your hours of operation on your website to reflect what you actually are. Website says you’re open 9-5, 9-6 some days and that isn’t the case at all. The sign on your door says M-F 10-5 which isn’t what is listed online. Very frustrating to show up at 9 to pick up my contacts only to find out you aren’t actually open.
I’m an out of state college student who can’t come home whenever I want, I’ve made two different appointments months ahead of time, and every time I come home, I walk in and the Laplata center says they either canceled it (without telling me) or they never had me scheduled in the first place. I’m out of contacts now and they said they can no longer give me any more until I make an appointment (I’ve done so TWICE). Guess it’s glasses until thanksgiving for me. If my insurance covered a different eye doctor I would NEVER come here again.
I got a pair of glasses here and the frames were cute, but the lenses were weird. I had gotten glasses at Walmart Vision (also in La Plata) and they have excellent customer services and great lenses, so I figured I would just take my new frames and get them fitted with lenses there. When I asked an associate if I could get a refund for just the frames, she said sure, I could bring them back and get a check in the mail, I just needed to come on another day when the boss was there. I come in that day and the boss is very unapproachable from the get-go, she doesnt greet me even though she made eye contact with me and is sitting in the front area. I briefly explain the situation and ask her about the refund, she simply tells me We dont do that and nothing else - she doesnt offer me any alternatives or anything of that nature. Im surprised by this since the associate was very specific about the process of going through the lenses refund. Im stunned and dont really know what else to say so I just walk out.I call customer service (after sending an email and them not responding in a timely manner) and explain the situation, she tells me its a policy across the board to not do a refund on the lenses, but she will contact the district manager and get in touch with me in two business days. Four business days I call back and speak with someone else, explain the situation again, he says the district manager rejected my appeal.I ask if the details were included in the email, such as how the associate explained the process, the rude manager, and how nobody once mentioned to me anything about a nonrefundable policy, it was not on any document such as the receipt, and I do not recall it being posted anywhere in the establishment. He says those details were not included in the email, but he can just have the district manager speak with me directly. Great! Unsurprisingly, I never received a call back.I essentially paid $450... for a pair of frames. The pair of glasses was actually going to be around $900 originally(!!!), but luckily they were able to find some kind of insurance/coupon. Ridiculous. Get a cheap pair of frames online or at another store, then go to Walmart and have your frames fitted with lenses there. Save yourself some time and a LOT of money. Other people I know have experienced similar problems, particularly with the quality of their lenses. Aside from the kind young ladies working as associates there, theres really not much that is great about this place.
I had an appointment on July 10th 2017 and I have stigmatism so I expect a costly hassle with getting contacts and prescriptions. When I went I provided the doctor with my previous prescription and in under a minute it was determined that this was my best option as far as a prescription. I was told that with insurance and cost of everything else plus having to pay for a fitting appointment I owed roughly $560 and told me it would be a week and half for the trials and could take up to 2 weeks to get the full prescription in.The disappointing part came when on July 31st 2017 and I still havent heard from MyEyeDr, this is 3 weeks after my initial appointment. Like previously stated I expect a hassle but I have never had trials take 3 weeks to come in so I gave the office a call. The receptionist told me that she was meaning to call me and that my contacts would be another 2 weeks because the company has backordered them. So the original week and half has now turned to 5 weeks so I asked if there was anything she could do. She told me she would speak to the doctor and call me back. Well August 1st still no response from MyEyeDr I decided to go online and check where I had ordered contacts previously. To my surprise I find that my old prescription that I provided the MyEyeDr doctor to figure out my prescription still had about a week before it expired. So I went ahead and ordered a set of contacts through this company after seeing an estimated delivery date of a week and half I decided what it could hurt. With this new order placed and MyEyeDr failing to keep me up-to-date with my order I decided to go into the office and cancel my order.(Let me remind you the morning of July 31st I was told that the office would call me right back, it is now about 4:30 the following day and still have not heard a thing). I went in the office and spoke to the one receptionist who was extremely friendly and I told her that I decided that waiting 5 weeks for trials when I was told it would be a week and half is not acceptable and wanted a refund. She was fine with this but had to get someone else to process the refund. I do not have the persons name of who she got but the person could use some lessons on customer service. She proceeded to tell me its not their fault that I have a complicated prescription and the company put the order on backorder. I explained to her that I thought 5 weeks was a little ridiculous when I was told it would take a week and half and when the office is not keeping me in the loop of what is happening with this order or possibly suggesting switching brands that this was unacceptable. After this she agreed to have a check sent to my house for a refund of the cost of the contacts which was $463. I was confused by this because she told me that she would not refund the $97 fitting of contacts since I already had the first part of my exam. I continued to explain to her that I was told the $97 was for the fitting not the exam and that seeing I havent have a fitting I felt that I should be refunded the $97 which she refused and continued to explain that she has been in this business since the 90s and thats the way it is. Seeing that I could tell that I was going to get nowhere here I decided to keep the trials on order since I am paying for the $97 fitting either way. This leads me to today August 16th, 5 weeks and 2 days since my initial appointment. Still have not received a call from MyEyeDr regarding the trials or the delay. No call possibly suggesting trying a different brand. So Ive paid for an eye exam along with a $97 contact fitting that I still have not received. Since my initial appointment I have received the refund for the contacts of the $463 I also received my supply of contacts from the online company in one week. Ordered August 1st delivered August 8th. I have completed the survey that your company provided and included my disappointment with the lack of service that I received and havent even heard back from that.
I had a great experience today!
My sons glasses took a ridiculous time to come in after order. going to waldorf instead.
Such a bad service.
