Being a Veteran we are often sent outside the VA hospital boundaries to civilian resources. I have had some bad experiences with follow ups, directions, and overall treatment. Rouse EyeCARE Center took the time and patiences to explain their intake process and treatment protocol. All employees were very professionals, courteous and went out their way to make me comfortable. Dr. Rouse was very kind and informative with my eye care treatment. The staff and Optometrist are amazing humans. They really went the extra mile to ensure I could see clearly as opposed to the VAs good enough attitude. Now I can finally see the small print for food ingredients without the need to use a magnifier or asking someone to read it. It may seem like such a small thing...but its huge for me. I was referred to Rouse by the VA and glad they did, Rouse is a state of the art optometrist, they identified the astigmatism in my right eye that I wasnt aware of all these years AND identified that my readers are to strong..Best vision Ive had in decades, they really took care of this old vet..

I have never had such a wonderful experience.They have a separate person for contacts fitting, another for glasses and another for the eye exam. Very thorough with all exams/ fittings. I was given a 5 day trial for contacts then set up an appointment for a review with the last pair to make sure everything fits properly. I was given about 10 options of glasses that the lady thought would look good on me but also fit my eyes. We both agreed on the one pair that looked good and fit properly. The dr explained everything thru the exam and was extremely professional, I had also mentioned I have children in which he explained how my eyesight has a high percentage of being genetic and if they catch it early it can be corrected. I will never go anywhere else for my eyes.

Excellent experience from start to finish. I was seen for an emergency and taken care of right away. This practice is a well oiled machine, everyone did their job efficiently and professionally.

A coupe of months ago, time had come to get an eye exam and new glasses.I started asking for recommendations on social media and aside from locations known to me in the Yelm area…...the name Rouse popped up on the radar enough times to trigger my curiosity. So, I asked those who mentioned it for more information.In a nutshell, the consensus was that Dr. Craig Rouse was meticulous and thorough to a fault. That got my attention, as my prescription has proven tricky to a few optometrists over the years.I decided to book an eye exam at the ROUSE EyeCARE CENTER. The appointment was this morning and I am happy to report that the entire experience exceeded my expectations by far!The staff were a stellar crew of professional, polite and knowledgeable young ladies (Nicole and Deanna) who greatly contributed to the enjoyment of my experience.Dr. Rouse is an absolute optometric superstar. In fact, the best optometrist I have had the pleasure to visit since our family move away from Geneva, Switzerland in 1997. I have found my local optometrist and that means the world to me!Last, but in no way least, Deliah Rouse completed this outstanding experience by turning frame and lens selection into a rather fun and enjoyable exercise. I highly recommend ROUSE Eye Care Center! I was referred to this establishment after waking up with a worrisome infection in my eye and was given an appointment the very same day. After filling out the induction paperwork I was promptly called back for my eye examination. From my first interaction with the receptionist down to the doctor himself I was treated like a lifelong patient who had been coming here for years. The entire team were professional, knowledgeable, prompt, and down to earth. The doctor went above and beyond to assist me and I was so impressed I will be going here for all my eye care needs in the future. Give this place a shot you will not be disappointed!

I absolutely LOVED my experience here. As soon as I walked in I said “whoa this place is nice!!” I got a few chuckles and was promptly greeted by the staff. My appointment was to pick out frames as I had received a prescription earlier this year from a different eye care company. I have NEVER had an experience like this. Deliah sat me down, asked what I liked -shape, colors, etc - asked if I had any photos and started getting to work. She chose frames that would compliment my bone structure, colors that compliment my eye color, skin color and hair color. The first pair she brought out I thought “oh these are the ONES” then she brought out another and another and I loved every single one of them! I ended up buying two pairs. One for the spring/summer and one for the fall/winter. I regret nothing!I had been going to an eye care place in tacoma for the past 19 years and never had an experience like this. I only remember ever picking out 2 frames in the entire 19 years of going there that I loved. Every other time I was just picking the “best” out of what they had. That’s why I ultimately started shopping around elsewhere bc I wanted to LOVE my glasses, not just settle for a pair and count down the days until I could get a new pair. I found Rouse eye care by searching on VSP’s website for an in network provider. I am so happy that I found them!

They are incredible and I dont think I can ever go anywhere else. They are such professionals from the ladies at the front to the doctors. I have never had a better experience. Also for the first time ever I am in LOVE with my glasses so i hope that helps ☺️

I love this place. I started seeing them the beginning of 2019. Everyone was so friendly and polite. When I found out that my daughter needed glasses, this is where I took her. They were extremely patient with her other than cooperative nature, and worked with her over three appointments to make her more comfortable with them. I have spent the past year going through chemotherapy for breast cancer. Chemotherapy effected my eyes and I knew I needed to have the doctor do an exam. I called and spoke to Elizabeth and explained that I was having headaches and blurred vision, that I was going through chemotherapy and my immune system was severely compromised. Everyone from the front desk to the Dr. were very accommodating. The doctors exam showed that my prescription had changed drastically. Deliah and Elizabeth helped me find a great pair of glasses that I really love and I keep getting compliments on them. I so appreciate the entire staff for making me feel safe while I was going through treatment.

Over priced, always wanting to see what they can bill your insurance and very pushy to get you to buy expensive frames and lenses. When I asked for my eye exam script (to buy glasses that I actually online at a reasonable cost). I was given a 15 minute verbal lashing about how if I buy online they won’t fit properly and they hesitated to give me my eye exam script. I had to ask bluntly several times. The eye doctor seemed to know his stuff, but his wife, who runs the front showroom, was the pushy one and tried to make me feel bad for not wanting to spend over $600 on 1 pair of basic black framed glasses with progressive lenses ( l didn’t want, but was told this is what I should have). Oh, and I had to wait 3 weeks!!!??? I also went online and ordered a cool blue, non-progressive lenses, that fit and look perfect for $35 including shipping.... I got them in 4 days. I will never go to Rouse EyeCARE again.

It is nice to go to Rouse knowing your going to a doctor that is really knowledgeable of all the different health risks that effect your vision. Being a diabetic, I know that I am in good hands, with great advice and great products.You can go to the express fast eyeglass companies, but dont expect anything close to a good healthy exam from them compared to a good optometrist.Rouse (husband and wife team) what a great experience they give you.

I was met at the door, greeted and let in (they are very COVID conscious) and my temperature was taken. Since this was my first time, I filled out some paperwork and waited no longer than 10 minutes before they took me in back and checked out my eyes.They are very clean, very professional and very nice. I had a fun time talking to Deliah and Elizabeth, trying to figure out what pair of glasses matches my facial frame and eyes. Found the perfect pair withing 15 minutes and only had to try on 5. Elizabeth did a great job picking out the right frames to match my personality and my face.Mr. Rouse did my eye exam and he was very professional and kind of funny. He made me feel comfortable enough to let him touch my eyes for dilation and the exam.Although the prices are a bit high, the quality of the experience and the items provided, are very well worth it.

I saw Dr. Rouse for eye exam and for contacts. The first set of contact lenses he had me try did not work. So he had me try another. And one eye kinda worked but other didn’t. So he had me try another prescription and etc....And they didn’t work.... So, the first prescription was a different brand but the last 3 prescriptions he had me try were some new brand called Miru. The Miru brand contacts are thin and comfortable on the eye BUT if they don’t help you see better they are useless.The last prescription was a multifocal and a person is supposed to be able to see both near and far. One eye everything in front of me was a blur but distance was ok. The other eye I could see enough to read in front of me but everything beyond 4ft was a blur...So I asked if I could try Air Optics Aqua Multifocal since I read good reviews on them and people reported being able to see both near and far in them. ...Dr Rouse refused to allow me to try another brand of lens because he “didn’t think I’d find what I want”. I think he just wants to promote Miru.All I want is to be able to see better and well enough to function at work with both near and far vision in both my eyes....I’ve had multifocal before so I know that they actually work with the right prescription and brand. Every brand is a little different according to reviews.Sad to say at Rouse Eye Center I spent $159 for an eye exam and contact lens exam and all I got for my money was shoddy service.GOOD NEWS THOUGHSo, I went to Walmart Vision and had an eye exam and was fitted with contact lenses that work for me and got a new prescription for glasses. It was $100 well spent. Took 1 visit and no price gouge.

I feel SO well taken care of here. Dr Rouse and all of his support staff do not rush me; they are committed to accuracy. They are gentle; kind. Everyone is so willing to educate me when I have questions. Dr Rouse really goes into detail, which helps to put me at ease. This is THE place for quality eye care.

Fantastic customer service!The staff is professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. DeLiah the office manager and frame Stylist was amazing to work with. The time and care she took fitting me with frames that worked well with my prescription and also complimented my facial features was a new and welcome experience. As DeLiah was choosing frames for me to try she explained what she was looking for with the fit. I had no idea of the importance that the size, shape, and even curve of the frame played in how well my prescription lenses would work for me. I have a petite face and In the past I had been given two choices, childrens frames or ones that were to big. Not anymore, Rouse EyeCare has a large selection of stylish frames in many sizes. Some frames can even be custom ordered for an even more perfect fit. I have been wearing glasses for years and for the first time I have glasses that really improve my vision and look Fantastic. I do not enjoy leaving negative reviews. But I felt the need to help prevent others from going through the same things I did.This eye center presented many serious problems. To list a few:1. No time or chance was given to talk to the doctor and ask about health concerns, explanation of tests, discussion of results, etc.2. Initially requested an extra fee for access to my own test results.3. Charged patient for a test that was necessary due to something that the doctor found, without informing the patient at all. I still do not know what this something is. Got billed for it, despite explicitly stating I did not want tests not covered by my insurance. Response from office admin and the doctor was that I signed their consent forms; no response when I pointed out the lack of informed consent or explanation.4. Technicians display irresponsible attitude disregarding patients health. First, they did not read the health history charts beforehand. Then, they dismissed my migraines as a result of not wearing glasses enough, without asking for context or details.5. Unethical and irresponsible conduct, to say the least. Questions were met with hasty cover-ups by different individuals, and their excuses blamed the patient for expecting a decent and reliable experience.The very least the eye center should do is inform their patients of tests being conducted, procedures, policies, and in this case, the fact that the patient will not be talking to the doctor.Also, numerous attempts to overcharge patients is unacceptable and unethical. Getting test results is a patients right and a healthcare centers responsibility. Same applies to only receiving tests and treatment that the patient knowingly consented to.It seems like this eye center operates for the sole purpose of bringing in as much money from their patients. There was little to no regard for their patients health.My earnest advice - do not go here.Actual sequence of events:I went in for an annual check up, and I explicitly told the front desk that I want one that is covered by my insurance. After filling out health history and consent forms, I was led by a technician to perform tests. No explanation of what tests were being done. When I asked questions, I received curt, reluctant answers. Dr. Rouse dropped in a couple of times to do the same things the technician had been doing - quick exams, no explanation.More tests, then I was abruptly led to the front desk. I asked why I wasnt given a time to talk to the doctor. They told me the results will be on an online portal, and that I would not get a call unless something was wrong. I expressed that I had wanted to discuss my migraine concerns, as well as explanation of the tests. The technicians response was you didnt tell me about the migraines. I pointed out that I had listed them on the forms. Another technician then jumped in and told me my migraines were caused by my not wearing my glasses enough, citing her own experience as proof. It is downright dangerous for a healthcare worker to thoughtlessly conclude the cause of a patients concern without asking for more details or context.A few hours later, I saw on the portal that the doctor had sent me my results, in response to my previous request that I had sent separately. The results that the front desk had claimed could not be sent via the portal.Next day, office admin initially tried to justify the fee, but seeing that results were sent on the portal, responded that the front desk had been wrong.Some time later, I saw that I was charged for a test outside my insurance. As I mentioned, I had explicitly stated that I wanted an annual checkup that is covered by my insurance. When I got in contact with the office admin, I was told that I can view the consent forms I signed if I would like. When I pointed out how I was not informed at all about the decision of this test, and therefore could not give informed consent, I was given no response. I did not further dispute this claim; I do not want to waste more time and energy.Please do not go here.

I needed to get an urgent exam for possibly a scratched eye or foriegn object in my eye. I was seen right after the normal paperwork, with personal and professional care. They treated my condition, wrote a prescription, and scheduled a follow up visit.I am so grateful that we found the right place.Many thanks to Dr. Rouse and his staff.

My kids frames broke when while visiting from out of town. This could have been disastrous (his script is too tricky to just get remade). I called Rouse to see if they could help out and they happened to have the right frame in stock. Deliah was able to work with my optometrist to allow us to get new frames today using the warranty from our original purchase! Very helpful staff and I appreciated how graciously we were treated. Had my first visit with Dr. Rouse and his staff this week. He is incredibly professional and knowledgeable, as is his staff. He noticed some concerning issues during my routine exam and spent a great deal of time with me to reassure me and develop a plan for going forward.

I just started seeing Dr.Rouse recently and I have to say he and his staff are so nice and helpful! They do everything to make sure all of my questions are answered, and that I am taken care of. Even helped me with my insurance, and understanding what I’m covered for. I hate going to the doctor but I don’t mind going to see Dr.Rouse. Highly recommend! 😊

From the moment I walked in the door, with the intent of merely checking out the in stock frames, I was greeted warmly, offered assistance, and even a same day appointment!Dr Rouse performed the most thorough eye exam I have ever had.His staff was extremely helpful and educational, with regards to frame size and proper fit to make the the most of my prescription.Sadly, they did not accept my vision insurance, but it was worth the out of pocket expense to actually be able to wear the prescribed eyewear I need!

Edited review on March 22nd 2019Mixed feelings about this practice. There are a lot of good reviews but my experience was not the best. Maybe that was unique but I still feel its my duty to share it. In short my wife was sold a very expensive pair of glasses after her first optometry appointment ($890 out of pocket, after insurance). After discussing it together, she decided to go back and find something cheaper. She was offered a difference pair of frames and a discount which brought it down to $590 out of pocket. This all too place on December 31st 2018 and through the following week. My wife said the staff were pleasant throughout the process although the process/pricing seem abnormal to me. Furthermore, they didnt offer her prescription after the appointment. After further inquiry we were told its on the patient portal but that was not explained during the appointment. These all appear to be minor issues that may have just aligned to take place during one patients experience.Fast forward 2.5 months to mid-March and we received another bill for $345 from Rouse Eyecare with no explanation. At this point I was pretty angry and posted several reviews about this practice and within hours of posting I got a call from the owners wife. She was pleasant on the phone and explained the costs by saying they are in line with the local area standard pricing. The main reason for the phone call was to convince me to remove my reviews. She also explained that the additional bill was because our insurance denied the claim initially. I wish Rouse had called me and informed me before just forwarding the bill to me because I was able to call my insurance company and they explained it was a paperwork mixup. They told us to simply resubmit the claim and that it would be paid. So again, another small negative experience centered around one appointment.In summary, a lot of small errors that could be forgiven individually, but together add up to a negative experience. My only other concern is that they were so adamant I remove my negative review, I have to wonder how many other reviews were removed when they should have stayed.

Having been about 35 years since seeing an eye Doctor, I was met with bright faces (despite the masks), in an immaculate office setting, and was seen immediately with an emergency situation.I was blown away by the new technologies available and extraordinary knowledge and experienced an extremely thorough exam. My visit to Dr. Rouses office was amazing. I will confess to being nervous, as this wasnt a standard visit for me. Ive been looking for an answer to debilitating photophobia for years. The lovely ladies in the front were so comforting, and the nurse Nicole was amazing. Id gotten so used to offices where I felt rushed to explain things about my health for the sake of the appointed time slot. Nicole was patient, accommodating, and walked me through every test that they ran me through. Dr. Rouse himself had amazing patient-side manner, and made me feel listened to. He was the first doctor Ive encountered to take my statement of pain and migraines seriously. He ran me through a number of options and further invertigating I would need to do. I spent 2 or 3 hours in there between tests and speaking to Dr. Rouse, and never did I feel the need to rush, or as if they needed me out of the office. I appreciate all the time and care he and his team provided. It was a wonderful and productive visit!

I had an eye emergency on a Sunday and Dr. Rouse met me at his clinic and took wonderful care. I was very anxious and he made me feel much more relaxed, keeping in constant contact with me over the next couple of weeks and making sure I was recovering well. He and his staff are wonderful people, extremely professional but also take time to get to know you and treat you like part of their family.

I’ve been extremely impressed with Dr. Rouse his wife Delilah and his staff in the past. Most recently I brought my daughter in due to an eye injury and he was so gentle, considerate and patient. We have never had an eye doctor that looks into an eye quite like Dr. Rouse.Thank you!

Ill start by saying that I dont like going to the doctor for any reason, so this review is written by someone who is predisposed to not having the best time at a doctor or specialists office. However, everyone was very friendly and helpful, and my overall experience was very positive. During one portion of the visit I had to wait for what Im guessing was a longer period than expected, and someone was stopping by the exam room every few minutes to give me an update on when Id be seen and what was causing the wait. It wasnt entirely necessary given that the wait wasnt even that long, but it was still very much appreciated. Everyone seemed very knowledgeable and every test, process and exam was explained thoroughly and all my questions answered. The office is very comfortable and the equipment seems to be very modern and up to date. The doctor is very personable and friendly and very knowledgeable and was pleasant to work with. The exam seemed thorough and quick, but not in any way rushed. The staff is very courteous, and everyone was smiling and friendly, even when they were not directly working with me. The level of customer service was excellent from everyone, not just the people who were involved with my exam. I dont need glasses ( I am, after all winner of the coveted Healthiest Eyes, June/July 2018 Award), but even the staff who fits you for glasses was courteous and offered me coffee while I waited for my fiance to finish her exam. Great practice all the way around, and Ill gladly go back for my next exam.

When I was having eye issues recently, they immediately helped me out, going the extra mile to make sure I had the excellent eye care I needed. Dr. Rouse answers all my questions and keep me informed as an active partner in health care. Deliah and Staff are super professional and helpful. I also like the beautiful interior and every room is impeccably clean. Classy modern eye-wear with trained staff that will make sure you get the right fit and look great! I highly recommend them!

Lovely business and known for their expertise in the community. My husband was at the ER because he is a welder and got a piece of metal in his eye, the doctor at the ER in Olympia said he needed special care immediately and called Rouse for us personally to make sure we went to him for this procedure. He still has both eyes and got taken care of with care and concern.

I recently moved to the Olympia area and they were the kindest people I’ve probably met being here. They were very efficient and helpful, answered all questions, and just an all around very welcoming staff. My appointment was later in the day towards closing time and they were more than willing to stay after to help me pick out a pair of new glasses. Very very nice people, from calling to schedule, through the entire appointment, to the end.

This was my first time having my eyes checked. Everyone was so kind and friendly, it made the visit so pleasant. After just a short time I was wishing I could take the office with me when I move.

I have been incredibly happy with Rouse EyeCARE. I was originally referred to Dr.Rouse for an emergency after hours appointment. He and his wife met me at the office. They were very kind and welcoming. Dr. Rouse is very through and knowledgeable.

Staff was Amazing, EVERYTHING was clean and sanitary. I felt very SAFE in that environment during the COVID pandemic.I went in for glassesafter I broke them at work. Upon careful examination Dr Rouse noticed I had a hole in my eye from the work accident. He immidiatly recommended proper treatment. We have a plan in play for next week to order glasses after Im healed up. Dr Rouse was personable and had very clear communication.

Has the comfiest leather office chairs I have ever sat in and I demand to know where to get one or the rating gets it.

Some confusion on eye glasses needs.Positive, everyone is very nice and place is clean. But on lockdown so dont go unless you have an appointment.

Every person at Rouse is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They have incredible service and they are so down to earth and informs. I am so glad we found this place :)

I love the personalized attention I receive at Rouse Eyecare. Dr. Rouse knows who I am, what I do for a living, and makes suggestions for my eye health based off of these details. You can get an exam anywhere, but you don’t get the same care and concern, for you as a person, that Dr. Rouse & his team provide.Elizabeth is amazing to work with when choosing and fitting glasses. My brain is very picky about things in my field of vision, and I can’t count how many times I’ve chosen a frame, to have Elizabeth tell me “those are beautiful, but you’ll end up annoyed with them because ....” she knows me and my quirks, and makes it easy to have stylish glasses that fit like a dream!

My daughter was a patient of Dr. Craig Rouse. We have only been there a couple of times. We have had a great experience. However, yesterday was the first time visiting their office during Covid. This experience has definitely changed my opinion and I will never return. I am not a person that is not taking the virus lightly nor am I ignorant to policies and procedures. I work at a hospital and fully grasp the seriousness of this pandemic and the precautions that are necessary for prevention of spreading. However, I do believe that their are people out their that are excessively over reactive. I had left my son in the car for her appointment. During my daughter’s appointment he badly needed to use the restroom. Dr.Rouse and his team would not let him in. He was wearing a mask correctly. He just needed to go. He had been texting me the pain he was in. After threatening to leave my daughters appointment and telling them that I do not feel comfortable having my son walk around Hawks Prairie to look for a restroom and my daughter is only 9 so I couldn’t leave her, they finally let him in. Then it gets way worse. After only 10 minutes or less Dr.Rouse wife interrupts my daughters exam to ask why he was in the restroom so long. So then I had to explain he was going #2. Not that it is any of her business nor does she know that he takes medication that makes him constipated at times. They also tried to pin it on DOH for their dramatic behavior. Needless to say their customer service lacks any and all bedside manner. I will also like to point out during the eye exam Dr. Craig Rouse seemed attentive to my daughter. However, again lacked any and all customer service to me aka the mom. He was cold and stand offish I am assuming due to my prior conflict with his wife. Just an FYI I have never posted a bad review because I fully grasp how it can affect a business and typically try not to be reactive from emotional responses from experiences. We are all in this pandemic together and there are ways to still remain family friendly even if you have to wipe down a few more door knobs and toilets. It is not ok to put a mom through a panic of do I leave my daughter to take my son to the restroom or leave the appointment to take my son to the restroom or let him walk around a busy area that we are not familiar with to use the restroom. That’s not ok. We will never return nor will we recommend to send anyone else to experience the lack of compassion for children and their needs. Shame on you.

Every time I go in to see Dr Rouse I leave feeling well educated about my eye health. He is super nice, and I have never had to wait. Appointments are always available when I need them. When I recently had to cancel the morning of my appointment due to a sick child, they were compassionate and kind about rescheduling. I will continue to highly recommend him to anyone needing an eye exam. I take my kids there and he is great with them, too. Their office is beautiful and and the technology is amazing. Finding Professional services is difficult when coming to a new area. The insurance I have became the source I relied on.The whole experience was more than I could have hoped for. Friendly, professional staff were a blessing. The whole exam was the most comfortable and gentle I have ever had. Follow up care is amazing. They take advantage of the time with you to ensure all questions are answered, all options are explored, and that you have the most current technology for your condition. The staff are fully trained and eager to assist you but not pushy.

Great eye care experience from start to finish. I appreciated the modern, warm and comfortable office environment, and the staff was top notch. What mattered to me most was that the eye exam was more thorough than I have ever had before. Dr. Rouse made sure I have baselines for good eye health going forward, and that I had what I needed to correct my vision now. After I had my correction prescription, the staff showed me some really great options for glasses, and helped me find the perfect fit. My husband and I both had complete eye exams, got new glasses and sun glasses last week. From start to finish, the entire staff was warm, friendly, and helpful. Dr. Rouse is a character, making me laugh, yet being so professional and knowledgeable. I have never had such a complete eye exam! The office is clean and welcoming. Continuing my 5 star rating, We have been coming here for roughly 2 years and the staff have always treated my family and I very well. They always remember us, always warm and welcoming, and are very diligent and accurate in their exam process. They have a great variety of high quality frames that definitely worth the price. They accept a wide array of insurance including state programs. And they are great with my little girls. Plan to stay with these folks a long time.

I went to Dr Rouse because my son had gone there. I had no insurance and paid for my exam out of pocket. I had the best most complete eye exam I have had. I got my moneys worth. Dr Rouse is very kind, intelligent and thorough. His staff is lovely and his wife is the cherry on top. She explained everything to me and why different frames would and wouldnt work for my prescription. I value my eyes and completely trust Dr Rouse and his staff to take care of my eyes.

Love love love this place!! Dr. Rouse was very professional, kind, gentle and knowledgeable. The Rouse Eye Care Center has all of the up to date, necessary technology to complete a thorough exam. I am truly impressed with the professional staff they have as well. Dr. Rouse gave me his educated recommendation for my prescription but also gave me options. I honestly trust this place. My 2 year old daughter had a appointment with them this past week and my 6 year old son has an appointment next week. I have no doubt that my childrens eye health is in very good hands. I have gone to the Eye Care Center twice to pick out glasses (because I can be indecisive) and the staff was very patient with me and provided their opinions when I would ask for it. The absolute best eye care Ive ever received! I left myself in their capable hands and they found the perfect frames to fit my style and my vision is clearer than ever. I especially liked that they taught me the dangers of blue light from cell phones and computers and hooked me up with protective filters.

What can I say but WOW! I know, its just an eye center but Dr. Rouse is so thorough and found things in my exam that needed to be addressed. The staff are attentive and when it came to picking out glasses and sunglasses they were very helpful and found me the perfect pairs. I have state medical insurance, that is Im extremely limited on finances, the staff performed a test that was not covered by my insurance and billed me for over $100. I refused to pay as no one asked nor informed me of any cash responsibilities. My previous optometrist had me wearing 1 contact for vision the other eye was left naked for reading, Dr. Rouse made me feel as though my previous optometrist was uncaring in regards to my eye health and I was ignorant. Bottom line: top of the line eye exams, Dr. Was impersonal, I found him and his staff to be focused on money and definitely not what was affordable and best for my eye health. Needless to say I have not been back and would never recommend this facility.

I went to Rouse Eye Care for a routine eye exam recently and was met with quality care and exceptional staff. Dr Rouse is clearly passionate and educated on all things optical. The office is welcoming and his staff were helpful and courteous. I highly recommend their office not only for their exceptional service but quality of care and products they stand behind!

Im so in love with this place. Everyone who works here is an incredible ray of sunshine and incredibly educated on all things eyes. They never upsell, they genuinely are looking out for your best interest. Their availability is unmatched, as well as the general wait times. As for the frame selection, you will not find a better selection south of Seattle. Sure, you could buy a flimsy pair cheaper, but the materials, structure, and warrantees on these are a necessity for any glasses wearer.

Exceeded all my expectations! Recently went in for an exam, and it has been the best exam I have ever had in my lifetime. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very informative. Dr. Rouse is very thorough with the exam and explains the whole procedure with a wealth of information! Even though they didnt work with my healthcare plan- I decided to try them out anyway. It was worth every penny out of my pocket. I even had a pair of glasses that I have had for 15 years and couldnt find a close enough frame. I have searched all over the world for a similar pair- and had NO IDEA that I could get what I wanted right here in Lacey!!! They work with a company that actually can build a new pair for you!!! This was even a BONUS for me! It was absolutely fun to pick out the new color for my new frames with Elizabeth. She was very helpful, smart, and very attentive to my wants in my new pair of glasses. I was about to spend a month hiking in Spain when I lost my prescription sunglasses shortly prior to leaving. Rouse EyeCare not only rushed the order, they drove up to the place where the lenses were made on a Saturday to ensure I got them before i had to leave. It was the most amazing customer experience I’ve ever had!

I have three special needs kids and Dr. Rouse and his team make their appointments so easy and fun. I really appreciate this as medical appointments can be a big source of stress for our family. I also love the eyeglass selection! Its huge, and its stuff that you cant get just anywhere.

My experience at Rouse Eye Care has been phenomenal. I suffered with double vision, unclear color perception, depth perception, eye straining to focus, severe headaches, and distant sight problems for many years. I found my eyes were causing me to miss out and struggle with so many factors in my life. I had issues working my position of patient care, along with missing special moments with my children; I was unable to see their school performances from the crowd and I knew I needed help sooner than later. In the past I have had eye exams with no findings or helpful solutions. Dr. Craig was very thorough with his examination and testing, he listened to my concerns and was able to diagnose and treat for the exact issue I was dealing with. The prescription I received was exact on. The care I received with Dr. Rouse has and will help me be able to see all the things in life that mean the most to me. Moments that can only be treasured by sight and memories. I am very thankful.Dr. Rouse has also helped treat my children. My daughter is 8 years old and struggles with issues such as falling while walking even at a slow pace, walking into walls and doors. I know this sounds silly although she would always respond that she didnt see the wall or such. She was struggling with multiple eye issues just as myself, and prescribed glasses to wear full time which have helped her daily. My son Josh who is 9 has suffered since age 6 with sever juvenile migraines, since being treated and prescribed glasses his headaches have lessened in times per month and intensity. My 5 year old James was seen for his first eye exam by Dr. Rouse yesterday and was treated with the best care. He typically is not found of any Dr. Office although he did great with Dr. Rouse and his team. He was calm the whole time, and wishes to go back already.The staff at Rouse Eye Care center are very patient, kind, caring and knowledgeable. They are diligent and mindful of the patients. I received great care with the optical assistant whom help with testing, she was very mindful of my straining issues to perform all testing and helped keep me at ease. The front desk staff and the rest of the team were just as fantastic. I received great help from a team that helped choose glasses and pick out what was fitting and great for my face shape along with color and fashionable to my taste. The designer frames make for a great selection. Scheduling is always easy and billing problem free.I personally recommend Rouse Eye Care Center for all ages. Everything was great. Showed up about 5 minutes before my appointment and was greeted right away, filled out some paperwork and they walked me back and was out in about an hour and half 10/10

Finally after multiple eye exams over the years, I now have a pair of glasses that I can actually see with crystal clarity!! What a nice group of people, caring and professional. I also have an extreme eye phobia and Dr. Rouse just got it done, obviously from years of experience he was able to give me a thorough exam with no tears shed.Many thanks to all at this establishment :)
