Very professional. They were booked for the whole week so I had to make an appointment. Not complaining a lot of customers usually mean good service. Got in today on Thursday. Dropped my car off at 10 am and told me it’d be evening time. An hour or so later the called me and I came to pick it up. Paid and was out before 12pm. Cheapest alignment price in town. Everything felt great. Don’t second guess this place. Good people.

I am a thorough researcher (reader-of-reviews if you will) when it comes to things I generally care about, like my car. I’m a mother and I have to stay safe on the road. And like every other review basically says... This place is wonderful. You’re going to want to go here. The price is phenomenally ‘right’ not to mention it’s just good company culture over there. Downright good people. Lyons got me in on extremely short notice, too. I will be back for everything I need for my car. I would recommend this place to anyone. You will not regret visiting Lyons.

I thought my vehicle would need new breaks since Ive driven it for 2 years and I had gotten it used. They set up an appointment and only charged me for an inspection, they said they were fine and couldnt do work that wasnt needed yet. This honesty is hard to come by anymore

Absolutely incredible place! They are extremely well priced and very courteous and helpful. I drive a manual Mini Cooper S, which can be difficult to work on if you arent super familiar with the car or if you dont have the specific tools.Id been going to a MINI-specialist repair shop for 2 years for repairs, and they charge insane prices. One time, after taking my car to the MINI people for repairs that were upwards of $3000, I got it back and it broke again the next day. I took it back to the MINI shop and they charged me $600 to just look at it and try things and break it even worse than it was before. After that I simply didnt have the time or the money to fix my car, so I went without it for 5 months.Before I moved back home for the summer this year (Im a Purdue student) I decided Id take it to Lyons and see if they could do something about it so I wouldnt have to leave my car here. Ive been here before, for an alignment repair and an oil change, and both times the mechanics were very friendly, fair, and knowledgeable, so I thought it was worth a shot. I was informed that they werent sure whether theyd be able to do anything, since they arent super well-versed in MINIs, but they were very willing to give it a look and see what they could do.I dropped the car off and then got a call the next day telling me that the problem was a bad coil on the engine and that they fixed it - for only $130!! The part itself was like $60, so the labor cost was only $70! I was floored because the MINI shop I went to before literally charged that much just to run diagnostics on the car, plus they told me they checked the coils and it was all fine.Ive waited until now to leave a review because I wanted to make sure it really was fixed and it is. Its now been 3 months since I got it fixed, and its been working great! Im so happy I found this place - truly an amazing auto-repair shop!!

Found my new regular mechanic shop! Ron and the guys did a great job at a reasonable (lower than quote) price. Moreover what won me over was the atmosphere in the shop and their quick-witted presence. Genuine people who not only were solid mechanics but had strong ties to the community and seemed to care about me as a new customer. Can hardly say I felt like a customer, more like a neighbor asking for their advise and expertise. Highly recommend and hope others will continue supporting them for another 30+ years!

Im a college student and my car battery completely died and wouldnt jump. I got towed and chose this place to go. They jumped my car for me after noticing how new the battery was and asked me if it was still under warranty because if it was, they didnt want to replace it by charging me for the expense of a new battery. Turns out it was under warranty, so they finally were able to jump it so I could drive to where I initially go the battery from. They charged me absolutely nothing for the time and effort they took. I was very impressed with this place, and as a college student, I was especially happy with how they treated me as a customer.

This place honestly made my week. Went in with just a couple questions as to how to replace a tail light fuse, and the owner sent out a wonderful mechanic to help. Jason helped and fixed my fuse in like 2 minutes and for no cost, hes a wonderful mechanic. Simply out of the good of their hearts they helped me. Thanks!

Honest pricing and fast, quality work. Lyons replaced a rear hub bearing in my 08 Hyundai for about $400 in an hour (with an appointment). The dealership quoted me $1200 and four hours of labor. Thanks to the honest, hardworking mechanics at their clean and conveniently located downtown shop in Lafayette. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, coffee shops, or parks to walk to while you wait.

The guys are so friendly and helpful, and they do a great job of letting me know exactly what theyre doing and how much it will cost. From everyone Ive talked to I think their prices are very fair. I would highly recommend them!

I have been taking my two old cars to Lyons for the past 5 years. The guys at Lyons are very good, so folks who live here know they are busy. I call ahead to make an appointment for routine stuff, and if I have an emergency they work me in.I have found them very personable, they make quality repairs, and they are an honest shop. An example is after fixing my power steering, the problem reoccured after 3 weeks. They fixed it for no charge.I recommend this shop to my friends.

I wouldnt ever go anywhere else. Honest, friendly, real people who are very knowledgeable yet affordable. I trust them with all my cars and after having several bad experiences around town I value them above all others. They saved me from being taken advantage of by a local dealership twice when I came to them with a diagnosis that was bogus from the other shop. They could have charged me and done the extra work, but instead of an 800 invoice from the other shop I left lyons with a 20 bill. So now, whatever they find, whatever the cost they quote I KNOW I can trust them and I say go with total confidence.

Very easy to work with and get the job the done fast and for a fair price

1st time, my car acted up and they were able to check it out and give it back the same day. They found no issues, didnt charge me, and to bring the car back if the issue persisted.2nd time, I set up a trip checkup and had a door handle replaced.3rd time, my starter motor went out and they were able to get me going again the following afternoon.Twice they were able to work me into the schedule and finish within a day.

Just had truck repaired. Knew what problem was and Lyons confirmed what I knew issue was and gave me a quote to fix. Researched part cost and markup was minimal for parts. Fixed in less than one day and good job!

Love these guys. I have a 15-year-old Jeep, so I basically have a standing appointment for every four months. They have never tried to get me to fix something other than exactly what I came for, and theyre always fast, honest, and friendly.

This repair place has been excellent to me and the cars Ive brought in. they are honest and fair, just really really decent people.they charged me just $20 flat for replacing a little length of hose that was being a problem somewhere, they helped handle towing and junkyard stuff when my old car finally broke beyond all repair.with my new car, they spent a full day trying to diagnose the problem and when they couldnt, they arranged to have it towed to the dealership (where hopefully everyone is just as nice--well see.)

I didnt have anything major done, just a rounded lug-nut that I couldnt get off myself. Brought in and in five minutes they had it off and didnt even bother to charge me, just told me to bring the car to them first if I needed anything done. I will definitely be back in the future.

This place has been my auto shop for a couple of years now. The mechanics have always been friendly and the prices for the repairs on my vehicles have always been fair. I cannot recommend this business enough .

Good honest people. I’ve had bad experiences with car shops before so I will definitely be coming here with any future problems I have. Took a kinda junky car in for an alignment and they identified a crack in the frame and told me it wasn’t really worth fixing. They didn’t charge me and even though I was disappointed about my car, I left knowing that I had gotten the best service possible.

I am giving this rating due to poor customer service. I took two cars to them, both with bad alternators, and both were making strange noises. The one mechanic acted if it was a hassle to have our cars there and kept complaining about how busy they were and how they wanted to get our cars off their lot. They fixed the alternators, but never even looked into the two loud noises. They said they wanted to schedule another time because they were too busy, rather than just fix the damn cars while they were already there. So now I have to take both cars back AGAIN. So essentially, I was turned off by this place due to their making me feel like they are doing me a favor by fixing my car, and for not just fixing my car completely the first time it was there. Sorry, but I should not have to kiss a mechanics ass to fix my car when I am going to have to pay them hundreds of dollars. As they act as if our business is such a burden, we will simply be taking our cars elsewhere, i.e., to a mechanic that wont complain to me about my business and actually take the time to fix what I ask them to fix without having to schedule multiple visits.UPDATE: One of the alternators that these guys put in physically fell out of my car!!!!! No lie.

Helped me through an issue with my Suburban SUV. Very nice, very fast. They answer the phones fast and are pretty up-front about cost, dont seem to want to upsell or anything.

Had 2013 Camaro with Ridetech coil overs in for alignment. After picking up my car and heading home, I hit a bump that caused my driver side front tire to hit the fender and slice the side wall of a brand new tire. Not to mention the amount of grease all over the front fenders of my car. Instead of them saying they didnt know how to adjust my setup, they pretended to give me a factory spec alignment. Less than 60 miles later, I took it to a reliable shop and the alignment that was in the car was no where near factory spec.

Very professional, honest, friendly, knowledgeable, and care about the customer. Theres a good reason that Lyons has been around so long, honesty and fair pricing play a major role in their longevity.
