Happy with the quality of work, and happy that they use text messages to update customers. The job did take an extra day than what was originally quoted though, but that can be expected with short staff. Very happy with the professionalism of the mechanics.

This is the first time that I bring my car to GTS and the experience was good. They diagnosed my car about an engine light. The called me and gave me a detailed explanation of the issue, and they went above and beyond to help me find the best solution. They were very professional and courteous. Very good impression for the first time.

Service was fine, went in for a trans fluid replacement(and rattle diagnosis if its something obvious since they had it up on the lift). Unfortunately I scheduled a week in advance and dropped my car off for an afternoon but was not informed it wouldnt be ready come pickup the following morning as was planned, so the wasted time walking there and home in the morning was a bummer but the price was overall quite reasonable. I hope to receive slightly better communication from them if I decide to use their services again. Just a quick text on vehicle status would go a long way.

Sent my vehicle in for diagnostics. This was a set appointment for this work. Upon completion of initial diagnostic (same day) there really was no real technical diagnostic of the vehicle. There was a known transmission code on the computer. Service was to verify the specific components that were causing the issue. When the shop contacted me on the day of service they stated their initial diagnosis but asked for permission to examine the issue further on the next working day. It was stated that “the torque converter and valve body are causing the problem we would like to drop the pan and examine it a little closer.” I immediately agreed and told them to proceed. It was also stated I would be contacted Monday with “options for repairs” based on what was discovered. This is when the experience went from very professional to very poor. I was contacted late in the afternoon on Tuesday. I was informed I had 2 options, replace torque converter and cable body or the entire transmission. While I do not disagree with the options or prices listed, the shop could not tell me if they performed the pan drop and further examination. The whole point in keeping the vehicle for 2 additional days was to verify the actual components that were bad and to do that the pan needed to be dropped. I was left feeling that I was quoted all new because it is quicker to do than to actually diagnose the problem. If the shop had included some technical information to back up the repairs other than what my code scanner had told me, or even been able to tell me if my pan was dropped my opinion would be different but the way it presented left me feeling that it took 3 days to do the same diagnostic I had done. What’s the point in a diagnostic if your going to quote replacing everything anyways

Upfront and honest, got my truck fixed quickly, employees were a pleasure to deal with. There are only a handful of transmission shops in Lafayette, i would recommend Guaranteed to anyone who needs auto repairs.

I got my AC recharged here and had a great experience. They charge honestly and reasonably for the work that they do and reassure you that you can bring your car back if you have any issues with the repair. Great customer service. The man I talked with while paying was super nice! I’ll definitely be back if I need anything else repaired on my car.

Great service from a local business. I had some car troubles that started late on a Friday and needed to get my vehicle fixed so I could pull my travel trailer back home from prophetstown state park. I contacted Clint and he worked me in on a Saturday to repair the issue and get my car running that day so I could take the travel trailer home Sunday. That is great customer service!!!

I was stranded on Wednesday before a holiday weekend. Guarantee Automotive & Transmission has a good reputation on our town. I called them and towed my car to the shop. Within 2 hours they contacted me with a plan and said they would try to get it done before close of business Friday. I was on the road Friday afternoon. I could not have asked for better service or kinder people to deal with.

This place is fantastic. They went above and beyond for me.I got stuck in Indiana on the way to my Mom in MN from Ohio.I was traveling with two pups, so I couldn’t leave the hotel as I was alone, and could not leave them as per the rules.They kept me updated, explained everything g to me, and while it ended up being a bigger problem than I had hoped, their kindness and patience and willingness to go the extra mile helped so much.I didn’t even worry about my belongings that were in the back seat of truck, nor what was in the truck bed. That’s huge, cause before I found them, I was really concerned about that.When the truck was ready, instead of insisting I use their courtesy shuttle, Clint drove the truck to my motel for me, followed by two others. This place is amazing! My family was passing through on a road trip to Kentucky when our car broke down near Lafayette. Although they were extremely busy, they happily had us have our car towed to their garage and were so helpful and understanding (other garages in the area that we called said it wouldnt be until *sometime* the following week that they could look at the car and did not seem to care we were stranded on the side of the hwy) It was a friday evening and there were no available rental cars in the area so they insisted on giving us a car to use for the weekend! It was a LIFESAVER for my family. I cannot thank them enough. Despite being so busy they still found a way to look at our car first thing monday morning. Turns out the problem was covered under recall and they helped us sort out getting it towed to a nearby dealership, no charge! They even offered to drive my husband to the dealership. I wish I could have given them the business and not the dealership. I cannot speak highly enough about every interaction we had with guaranteed automotive and transmission! Shout out to Molly (I believe) at the front desk for all her help. Its nice to know there are still good people in the world. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!

Its the kind of place that treats you like you know nothing about cars and then they wont listen when you describe whats wrong with your car. They couldnt find the problem with my car but as soon as I drove it off the lot I began experiencing the same issues I told them about. I especially thought it was funny when I was told that my symptoms might be just a one time accurance. Not so, they happened many times and continue to do so. I now have to take my car to another shop that will properly diagnose the problem.

Guaranteed rebuilt the transmission in my sons car. He is a student at the University and we live in Florida, but the staff was willing to give us good service even though I wasnt able to come and speak with them in person. My kids and I were hauling a trailer from Cincinnati to Chicago and I saw smoke coming out the back of my Sienna minivan near Frankfort, IN. I pulled over at the exit and all my transmission fluid leaked out. I started calling around for open shops, but being the Sunday after Christmas, few places were open. Clint Johnson however returned my call, even though he was on vacation and pointed me in the the direction of 2 possibilities and gave me the number for a tow. Neither of the options would be able to handle my issue for a few days, so I called Clint again and he recommended a competitor who would be able to help me, since Guaranteed wasnt open until Jan 4. Clint made a tough situation bearable and helped a stranger without any recompense. I would use this shop based on Clints character alone.

I was just about to make a drive from Indiana to Florida when my engine light came on as well as another error. After having these codes pop up on my 05 Subaru Forester, I first read them with my own code reader before resetting them. I called asking about diagnostics and was quoted for $90 for an hour of work. I drove it in around 2pm, and had it back around 3:30. I believe the gentleman I dealt with was Matt, he was polite and told me they could not pull up any codes themselves as I had reset them, and they did not see anything out of the ordinary with my catalytic converter or transmission. He told me although they could not guarantee, based upon what I had said he thought it was an oxygen sensor, something I had also suspected. Matt told me the keys were in the car, and when I asked about paying he told me not to worry as he understood. This meant more to me than he could have known as money is tight these days. I made the 1,000 mile journey without the light coming back on, and the whole time was grateful for the help. Anyone else could have charged me just for looking, but they were honest and told me what they thought and I am grateful for that. I would recommend them as a trustworthy business worthy of bringing your car to.

Fixed the problem in my transmission but when I got my truck back my hood latch was broke.

I took my work van into Guaranteed Automotive and Transmission. I was having transmission issues and they quickly diagnosed the problem. At first I was told it could take up to 2 weeks to get all of the parts and rebuild the transmission. This wouldve created a huge issue for me as it is my only work truck. Clint and his guys put a rush on my truck because they knew it was my way of earning income. I took it in on Monday and got it back on Wednesday!! They have an awesome warranty(probably one of the best in the biz! 3yr/100,000 miles) I am always pleased at the work they do on all of our vehicles! I had a lot going wrong with my truck and was a little worried about my experience with my first tech but after some changes I worked with a new tech and the service was absolutely amazing.

Horrible customer service, and WAY overpriced. Charge more then the certified Dealer charges to do the same job.

We took our car to a dealer repair who quoted $2000 for service and at least 8 days before they could even start repairs. We decided to take our car in for a second opinion at Guaranteed Automotive & Transmission and they quoted $1,100 and said they would be able to get to it the following Tuesday. We told them to do the work and they completed our car by the end of the same day! We were able to have our car before the weekend and SAVED $900. They were friendly and truthful about the services. We highly recommend Guaranteed Automotive!

They worked on my older car and explained everything that was going on with it. Dustin was great to work with and showed me where my brake leak was from.

While on a road trip my tire pressure sensor kicked on warning me of low PSI. To my dismay there was a large nail in my rear tire. I was told by a local these guys would be able to take care of me. I rolled into their lot as they opened and Josh came right out, pulled out the nail and plugged my tire for me and I was back on the road in 10 minutes. A true lifesaver a big thanks to Josh and the guys at Guaranteed Auto.

I came to Guaranteed Automotive & Transmission with a 4WD issue that they misdiagnosed. Even though they said they were confident, the actual issue was a component they had inspected and said was completely fine. Ultimately, they could not fix my truck and I did come away with some broken clips and missing screws. They spent considerable time trying to solve the problem and I appreciate the effort they put in but would recommend you make sure you are satisfied with the diagnosis and repair before you leave.

My interactions with the people there were pleasant; i.e., the staff is courteous, but communication was a major issue for me. I made two separate appointments for related issues there. The first appointment was to diagnose the reason for a P0705 check engine light code. They kept my car for a full 7 days, even though I made an appointment a week in advance, and all they did was probe my TRS and wiggle some wires around and test drive it. They didnt have to wait for parts or anything, just diagnose the thing. They NEVER called me, I had to call and ask for updates, and usually there were no updates. I felt like I was begging them to just do something with the car. Eventually, they told me they thought I needed a new Powertrain Control Module / Engine Control Unit. That was fine, and I appreciated Matt helping me find one at a recycling yard (since they dont make them for my truck anymore). I paid them a $90 fee for telling me to get a new PCM/ECU, and was done with it.I got the new PCM/ECU and I wanted to give Guaranteed the benefit of the doubt because they have such great reviews online, so I decided to give them another chance since I needed someone to reprogram the ECU to my vehicle. That was a mistake. I again made an appointment, drove my car there, installed the ECU in the parking lot so that all theyd have to do was plug a computer in, but still this time they kept my car for a full 12 days, just to properly reprogram my ECU. Granted, after I called on the second day, they actually told me it was good to go, so I made the 30 minute drive there to pick the truck up, paid them $125, and guess what: one of the keys I gave them doesnt work and there are new CEL lights coming up (ABS and AdvanceTrac). They didnt tell me any of this over the phone, so I called the technician out and asked him what was going on. He basically said I probably bought a bad ECU, but he would look it over. After several more days of me calling, and them saying they still need to try some things, they told me they were getting VIN mismatch errors. I.e., they tried to hand my car back to me without properly reprograming the ECU. Then they had to wait for Fords permission to rewrite the VIN. In the end, they worked out the VIN mismatch, then wanted to try some more things, and I said no I just want to take the car. In the end, they held my car for 19 days to tell me I needed a new ECU, then reprogram the ECU, and they still wanted to keep it over another weekend. Oh and by the way, I still get the P0705 code every single time I drive. So 19 days and $215 later, Im back to square 1. And again, its not like I walked in at an extraordinarily busy time or something... both times I made an appointment in the morning. Diagnosing the car should been done the same day, reprogramming (or at least attempting to reprogram) the car should have been done on the same day. I understand the few days waiting for Fords permission to re-write the VIN, but that only made up the last few days of them having the vehicle.Like I said, theyre plenty courteous, which I appreciate, but it was clear that they figured they just werent going to make any money off of me, so they just didnt want to work on my car. I wish they had just told me they didnt want to do this so I could take it to Becks or something. Now Im going to take it somewhere else and probably pay another diagnosis fee to a different shop for them to try and figure out the reason for these codes.Probably the most frustrating thing was the complete absence of updates on the progress. Sometimes I would just wait for 3 or 4 days before calling to see if they would contact me, but no, nothing. And then when I would call it seemed like they had forgotten about my car because they had no updates... And every time I called I would specifically ask them to call back once they got information on this or that, and nope. Nothing. I would suggest, if you dont feel like babysitting your mechanic, try Becks.

Hands down the most thorough explanation and education on my transmission and what to watch for. I deeply appreciated being shown every detail of the work. Clint also looked over everything else to make sure I was good to go and corrected a leaking oil filter.Clint brought me in the following morning after I contacted them just before closing because I needed transmission service before a cross-country drive. I was concerned about the correct procedure being done on my older van and as it turned out, it was very good that I did not do what three other shops wanted to do. He was also significantly less in cost than five other quotes I obtained. This is a family business with a heart and they were all friendly, kind and welcoming . Theyre clearly family people because the waiting area is kid-friendly and the nicest Ive ever been in for an auto shop. They even have snacks, cold drinks and lots of toys to keep the kids busy, as well as a clean restroom right off the area. We even got treated to some fresh chocolate chip cookies. Thank you, Clint and everyone there today for making that the best experience for my kids and a tired Mom! Oh, and I loved that sign out front... You lived up to what you have written there.

I paid to have my valve cover gaskets replaced. They charged me over $1000, and did not replace them correctly. They leaked worse than before and leaked into my alternator which I then had to replace. I ended up paying another $1700 getting everything fixed at Nissan. DO NOT GO HERE. EXTREMELY RUDE AND BAD SERVICE.

Before heading to Guarenteed Automotive &Transmission, I had been going to the Buick dealership for repairs on my 2014 Encore. Long story short, I went to the dealership three different times and paid a rediculous amount of money to have repairs made that were caused but their technician. I finally got frustrated enough that I decided to try out Guaranteed Automotive which came highly recommended by several. I was able to pick up my car alot sooner than expected and I dont think it has ever driven this smoothly. Great Customer Service, they fully explained everything that was going on and they actually fixed the problem, nothing more nothing less. What a great mechanic! Highly highly recommend!

I went in and didnt have a clue what was really wrong or how much it would cost, but they were extremely friendly, affordable, and the waiting room was really nice. Ill definitely be going back!

I had my Pontiac G6 looked at by Guaranteed Transmission Service,they did an amazing job. Called me and explained in detail what was wrong and how they were going to fix it. Very nice people that work there. I would definitely recommend the shop to anyone that wants a good.fast service thats fair priced.

I usually like doing all my own car work, but there are somethings that only a mechanic can do right. I did have an issue with this place a few years back when I had a clutch replaced, and a faulty aftermarket leaf spring kept breaking a throwout bearing retainer clip. After much troubleshooting and several part replacements, I went to a dealer to get repairs done. Unknowingly to me, they worked hard to get back the money spent on the parts, and made sure to refund it to me. I was surprised; This really shows some true character on their part, and I will definitely be returning here.I will have to say that though Guaranteed may have some higher rates than other places, they really know how to take care of a person and their automobiles. They do thorough maintenance checks, provide quick service, and make sure to let you know of all the repairs needing to be done and work with you to do them before they do it.

Wonderful staff, great experience. They handled all my needs in one stop. They are extremely knowledgeable when it came to explaining the problems I was having and the need of the repairs to correct my issue. The technician was more than happy to talk with me when I had questions. I would strongly recommend them to anyone and definitely will be going back.

First let me say I have no doubts about the quality of their work. My issue is that when I made my appointment to have the rear brakes on my vehicle repaired I stressed that I wanted all new parts. I have had bad luck with rebuilt parts on this vehicle. However when i got the receipt it showed that the calipers were rebuilt. Now again to be fair they do have a guarantee on the parts & labor. Sadly thru no fault of there own I moved away from Lafayette rendering the guarantee a moot point. So in 6 months Ill be doing this job again.UPDATEI must apologize for my previous post. I did not realize that the rebuilt parts were Toyota manufactured. This error was mine for not seeking a clarification of this fact. I appreciate the owner reaching out to me.

Tracy, Clint, and the team at Guaranteed Auto were wonderful to work with. The arranged a tow truck to pick up my vehicle and have a shuttle service to make dropping off and picking up my vehicle easier. They are affordable and complete the repairs in a timely manner. Tracy does a great job at communicating and is willing to help you in whatever way needed. When I went to pick up my vehicle, it was discovered that the tow truck company had damaged part of my breaking system. The team at Guaranteed Auto listened to my concerns and resolved the issue and had my vehicle back to me the next day. I would recommend them to anyone, especially busy college students! I took my sons car in because we thought it was having transmission issues. Guaranteed looked into the problem and they told us that they could not recommend a new transmission at this time because they didnt think the transmission was the issue. They got the car to reproduce the issue that we described but only that one time. After a lot of diagnostics, they could not reproduce the same issues. They were honest and upfront. I appreciated their efforts. I would highly recommend them again.

I have had one car in for a replacement clutch, and another for an ignition system problem. Both times GTS fixed it in a timely manner and for a reasonable price, They were actually willing to repair something, not just replace parts! That was much appreciated.They are timely, value conscious and provide great service. They are a little shop that provides the services I look for and appreciate. Will continue to go back and recommend them to others.

I have never had better service, where people have treated me with respect as I have here. They were quick to get my car in, were helpful and answered any questions I had. I brought my car in for what I thought was tie rods and it ended up needed a few other essential repairs. The repairs were done quickly and at a price I was surprised by. It always seems like auto repairs cost an arm and a leg, but I walked away feeling like I had gotten the best deal and quality repair than I ever had. Love this place and will definitely be back again for other auto repairs.

My Honda Odyssey was giving problems with transmission ( slipping) during a long distance trip. I am glad to have a shop like this to go to when one of my trucks needs transmission work. I had not to long ago had my transmission rebuilt by another shop. After only 20,000 miles, I lost 4th gear and overdrive. After all the troubles I had with the previous shop not standing by their work, I was hesitant when I came into to Guaranteed transmission. All i can say is, what a great experience. Its nice to see customer service in this day and age. Its a rare thing anymore.They went through my transmission and transfer case and found the valve body clogged up with a glue that is used to attach a part to the valve body. They could have easily told me the transmission was toast. But, they didnt. They cleaned the valve body, put it back together, and had me on my way. It eases my mind to know theres a shop close to home you can count on! Dan

Was referred to Guaranteed Automotive and Transmission Svc from another repair shop for the repairs we needed. I need a ride to work and was promptly taken. They diagnosed the problem and it was under factory warranty so had to take it to the actual dealership for repairs. They were prompt and so nice with the help they could provide and will definitely go there again when needing repairs!! Would highly recommend!

The best repair shop ever! Weve had to get a lot of auto repair done to our vehicles in the last several years and GTS has always treated us fairly and respectfully. Very grateful for their friendly service:)

Amazing! Thats all I can say! The wonderful staff at Guaranteed Transmission Service are always ready to help with what ever needs you have. They will provide a complimentary shuttle when you drop your vehicle off and when it is ready to be picked up, most shops wouldnt dream of doing this! An awesome place to do business with, and will continue to receive mine for years to come!

I don’t really trust a lot of shop with my vehicles.. but one of my friends told me about them and I was like never hurts to give them a try so I did ... and they did a great job on my Jeep that it running like it should ... would definitely go back if I have other car problems ...
