This place is a great local bike shop. They try to match you with a bike that will fit your ride style and dont sell you on something that you will be disappointed with. When things settle down, come in and talk with any of their staff to learn the ins and outs of biking

Terrible, I went to the Lafayette shop and stood outside the front door waiting for the guy behind the register to come and let me in. There was no one else in the shop. He saw me as I waited, he then walked out into the bike area to look at a bike, saw me again, and ignored me. I wondered what was going on and then left.

Easy order and pickup curbside. My kid is thrilled with the quality bike and Im thrilled she got it so fast.

Ok so I went a little overboard playing in the mud with my new mate x ebike and ended up snapping off the rear derailer. Needless to say I was super bummed out that I did this on day 1 with my new bike! I called another local bike that made things complicated...you need to contact the manufacturer and order the parts...blah blah. Then I contacted Hank & Frank Bike and spoke to Will. He said, if its mechanical, we should be able to to fix it. Will and Joey got the bike up and going within roughly two business days! Honest prices and advice. Forever grateful and now a loyal customer 👍

Every Bike shop on the planet will get some bad reviews, people just dont respect bikes and the employees that work on them. Ive witnessed many reviews online and customers in stores with attitudes. People expect the best for the least and thats just not how it works. Hank + Frank is an awesome shop and a great resource in the bay area, especially because of Josh the head mechanic who is not only an expert level rider but also always up to date with the latest stuff and is a true professional. They are not super cheap or a deal though, like most shops they charge a premium. If youre looking for a steal of a deal thats not them, but if you want good knowledgable people, lots of variety of parts in stock, excellent mechanical work, and are willing to pay whats fair, they cant be beat.

Awesome staff, always friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately, I ended up buying a new bike from someone else. These guys really rubbed me the wrong way. One of the employees was borderline rude and they wouldnt work with me to get what I wanted as I was about to drop $3700 on a new bike. (Bars and stem of the right size).
