This is a place that simply will blow your mind. When you thought a bike store could not amaze you think again, and visit them. We went just for a simple tube replacement but, discovered excellency in service. Impressive bikes that I have never seen before and large range of accessories with the ultimate tech. Most of my aw was in the carbon fiber bikes and electrical choices. In a nut shell and since they are open within reason and in compliance with current capacity regulation is a safe place to serve your bike. Again thx for your services in this new times.

I was looking for a particular bike, which Sharp Bicycle happened to have in stock when no one else around did. Spoke with Matt on the phone, he was very informative, accommodating, and most helpful. Went and picked up the bike later that day, and Matt was kind enough to offer some fitting assistance, get me set up with some pedals and bottle cages, and get me on my way. So happy I made the trip to visit them in Lafayette! No doubt I will be back when needed--cannot recommend them enough!

Had a great experience purchasing a bicycle here for my daughter. They didn’t oversell and were friendly. Let us test out the bike with no pressure. Super friendly. I will definitely go here again. They have a great selection of bikes and accessories in my opinion.

Do not take your bike here if you need something simple done to it. I asked them to replace 1 thing, and they did extra work on my bike that I did not request. I wanted 1 chainring replaced, and they took the liberty of removing my extra (and useless) chainring which was completely unnecessary and COSTLY. They charge $100/hr for labor, on a $12 replacement part that was an EASY install. Ill never go here again.

This shop is top shelf. Excellent service and a wide variety of brand new bikes from Cruisers to the top of the line road bikes such as the Trek madone as well as full spectrum of brand new mountain bikes. Sharp Bicycle was very generous in helping me out today. Earlier this week while biking with my kids, I heard a sound as if something fell off the bike. The reflector on the rear wheel of my Specialized MTB had fallen off, and I saw that the plastic screw or clamp in the middle had fallen off somewhere during the ride. It didn’t make sense for me to buy a whole new pair (and they don’t sell just one reflector) and no one sells just this screw/clamp. I didn’t want to remove the wheel reflectors too since there’s some safety factor why they’re there to begin with.I called several bike shops around me earlier this week and even visited one other shop, but none seems interested to look for a spare or unused piece that I can purchase from or they can offload.Today while buying lunch in downtown Lafayette, I decided to give Sharp a call to ask. A nice gentleman said to drop by and let him see what he can do. It turns out they have two spare clamps that he offered me for free! My bike is whole again! Thank you Sharp Bicycle! I’m now a fan of yours!

When they say family business, they really mean family! The staff here and the owners treat everybody like their own family. Their service is always top-notch and they always seem to go out of their way for my very last minute needs! One never knows when they need something fixed before a scheduled ride or to buy a new bike to surprise a child. They actually have more bikes coming in for kids and if you are considering one for your little ones, I highly recommend coming here! They will take the best care of you and your little ankle-biters!

Great local independent bike shop (one of the few remaining)! Purchased my last road bike here and go here for all of my service. They have knowledgeable staff and stock everything from kids bikes to top of the line mountain and road bikes and all the accessories. I recently had a repair that I requested a quick turnaround on and they had it done in a few hours. I plan to buy my next bike here!

I called to ask if they could install tires and tubes on my wheels. I was a little embarrassed to ask because I had worked on them for about 4 hours and couldnt get the tires on. They said to walk in and theyd take a look. When I came in, seeing my wheels in hand, they asked if I was the one who called earlier. It was nice not to have to re-explain my situation. We walked through what parts I had to check that they were right and we went over some other options and why they could be better. They took my wheels and said theyd call and email when they were ready, but there was a backlog built up so it might take longer than normal. They texted and sent me an email barely an hour later that my wheels were ready. When I picked them up, I asked and they confirmed that these were particularly hard wheels to work on, but they got them done.This was a great experience with a local bikeshop. They were kind, worked to get the best possible solution to my problem, the service was quick, and the price was reasonable.

My new bike spot in the East Bay! Place was great.... inventory is out of this world, and the staff was all very friendly. I went in looking for a new Trek, and Matt helped me navigate to what I needed. Talked to him and his wife for a few minutes... probably the most chill shopping experience Ive ever had. While I was in there, there were a couple parents looking for kids bikes, and also (from the looks of it) a couple hardcore bikers. Definitely serves all bike lovers at this joint. Location is pretty sweet too... not too far from Bart, and some cool restaurants nearby. I went to a great italian-style pizza place that was about a 2 minute bike away!If youre in the Easy Bay and in the market for a new bike, I would definitely recommend checking this place out first.

One of the few bikes shops that actually has bikes in stock and on the sales floor. Great selection of Trek road bikes. Matt and Dee are super friendly and helpful. If youre there around closing time they might even offer you a beer. Great shop! Check them out.

Had a stuck chain while riding out in the trails. Walked into the shop and the mechanic took care of me right away and had me going in about ten minutes. Excellent service and nice people!

I love this place. When I moved to Moraga, I thought I would be smart and buy our bikes at a big box store. What a big mistake. We wound up with three lemons for the family. When my son outgrew his bike, two or three years later, we went to Sharp. What a difference. We spent a little more, but we got a much better bike, professional advice, and we got him a bike that has been wonderful, unlike the old lemon that was heavy, clunky, and had a terrible gearing system (which is a killer when you live in a hilly area). As a plus, I have never experienced _any_ sales pressure from them. Last time we stopped by, looking for a bike for our then first grader, they actually advised us _not_ to buy a time, because she wasnt tall enough for a new frame, and her old bike was still ok for her. Talk about honesty. Flat tire? I stop by, and I get it changed for a reasonable fee. Sharp has become our bike place, they earned it.

I was very pleased with my experience with Dee and the rest of the staff. I took in my Cannondale R3000 and expected to get the overhaul, a new chain, and the works.. but after talking to Dee he looked at my machine, measured my chain, and recommend the deluxe tube up as my bike was not in as bad of shape as I thought. When I picked my bike up it was perfect... now my shoes broke and they also gave me a great deal on shoes. Overall very pleased, brought another bike in for them to work on and will be pleased with the results on that ride as well. Thanks guys.

Im not an advanced cyclist, but I wanted to get a nice road bike for my next triathlon. A friend recommended Sharp bicycles and I never looked back. I was overwhelmed by the selection and friendliness of the staff. The staff even gave me some training tips and even some local groups that would be perfect for my skill level.The personalized experience was so much better than online shopping or any other bike shop I have ever stepped into. Family owned awesomeness! Not only does this place have the most high performance gear, but it its clear how much pride the owners take in their work and business. Best tune up value Ive ever had and bike looked like new. They even recalibrated my computer for me. I have to stay away because I want a new bike every time I walk in.

My rear tire failed on a ride and limped 10 miles into the shop for a replacement. Although I didn’t have enough money on me to pay in full Dee put a new tire on. And trusted me to pay the rest when I got back home.
